Then came the big day, Sharon and Nicole headed to the other side of the hotel where Karen was at to get ready while Leon stayed at the hotel room to get changed into his tuxedo. "Today's the big day, the moment I have been dreaming about for years is about to come true. Well, it looks like the limo's right on time hopefully with my groomsmen and best man." Leon thought to himself after looking out at the balcony with his tuxedo on.
Leon headed down to get into the limo to see that the people he was expecting were in it. The limo driver then proceeded to drive off the hotel into the direction of the church. Leon's groomsmen: Shawn Michaels (his best man), Triple H, Kevin Nash, The Undertaker, and Sean Waltman greeted Leon before complementing on each other's tuxes.
"We're here a little early, Leon." Kevin said in a calm tone.
"I know, it's because I wanted to get a couple of group photos of us together you know before everyone shows up." Leon said in response.
The rest of the group nodded before they got out of the limo and found a gazebo nearby where they could take the photos. Halfway to the gazebo area, Leon points out to Hunter that his wife Stephanie with the wives of the other groomsmen showed up and signaled for her to come down since they needed a photographer. After exchanging greetings with Stephanie, Leon and the other groomsmen went down to the gazebo to have the pictures done.
"The photos turned out good. We'll see you guys inside." Stephanie said as she handed Hunter the camera before catching up with the other wives and went inside the church.
"Leon, are you ready?" Shawn asked as he noticed a couple of the groomsmen heading up to the church.
"Yes, Shawn. I was born ready." Leon said in response.
Then Leon alongside Shawn, Hunter and Kevin went inside the church to get into their places. Once they were in the hallway, Hunter took a peek at the congregation area and couldn't believe the massive crowd that was already there. Shawn glanced at his Rolex watch to see what time it was since the bride or the bridesmaids hadn't shown up yet and it was approaching time for the wedding ceremony to begin.
"Here they come. Almost ten minutes before I had to convince the pastor to stall." Leon said as noticed a limo right in front of a van in the church parking lot.
"Lucky call too. Because I just checked my watch for you." Shawn said in response.
"Thanks. Remember not a word to them for being almost late I mean I saved your behinds the other day. It's the best I can do." Leon said with a calm tone.
The groomsmen agreed to that statement and immediately went silent once the bride with the bridesmaids showed up. Then Mr. Carter arrived from the congregation area and hung around in the lobby since he played an integral part of the ceremony which was giving Sharon away. Once the pastor showed up a couple of minutes later, everyone got in place and the ceremony was about to begin.
After the pastor, the spoke for a while is when Leon began walking down the aisle with everyone in the congregation area now looking at the aisle. After Leon came The Undertaker with Luan, Sean Waltman with Leni, Kevin Nash with Lori, Triple H with Luna, Shawn Michaels (best man) with Karen (maid of honor). Then everyone's attention was at the back of the aisle where Sharon being walked down by her father and followed behind by the flower girl Nicole and ring bearer Lincoln. While Sharon was walking down the aisle, Leon couldn't help but look at how beautiful she had turned out.
Then the pastor told the guests to take a seat once Sharon made it to the altar. Before sitting down is when Mr. Carter gave Sharon away and went to sit with his wife.
"Will the ring bearer come forth and present the rings?" The pastor said as he continued the ceremony and Lincoln came forth to do his duty.
Then the pastor asked Leon and Sharon to say their wedding vows and placed the wedding rings on their fingers. Everyone in the church had been filled with emotion at this point except for those near the altar.
"Leon, do you take Sharon to be your wedded wife, to love her, cherish her, through sickness and in health, till death do you part?" The pastor said to Leon.
"I do." Leon answered with a smile.
"Sharon, do you take Leon to be your wedded husband, to love him, cherish him, through sickness and in health, till death do you part?" The pastor said to Sharon.
"I do." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"By the power invested in me and the state of Michigan, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The pastor said to conclude the wedding ceremony.
Leon pulled the veil off and proceeded to kiss Sharon to officially unify their marriage. Everyone clapped for the newly married couple as they left the church in the limo and headed to the country club for their reception. After getting into the limo, Leon kissed his wife and they felt happy.
"It feels wonderful. That we're officially married now. I'm now Mrs. The Brute. Hmmm…that sounds cheesy doesn't it." Sharon said to her husband.
"Not even close, darling. But it did give me an idea though." Leon said with a smirk on his face.
"Leon…..you're not thinking about using that as something else. You know how embarrassing that would be if anyone heard us using that if they pass by in the room. Very naughty." Sharon said after realizing Leon's intentions were.
"Alright." Leon said with a calm voice.
"That's better. Shouldn't we be close to the country club by now." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"I think we're here because the limo hasn't moved in the past couple of minutes." Leon said in response.
Once Leon stepped out of the limo to check, he was right and held onto his wife to get her out. They looked at the scenery of the golf course before stepping inside the country club and finding the reception hall. After getting situated in the reception hall, Leon and Sharon notice that the bridesmaids and groomsmen had shown up.
However, Leon noticed that Shawn wanted to talk to him in private and he told Sharon that he would be right back. So, Leon followed Shawn near the doorway to the men's stalls.
"You wanted to talk to me about something, Shawn." Leon said out of curiosity.
"Yeah. After the ceremony was completed, Stephanie had approached me and suggested that during the speech that I give since I'm the best man that you and Sharon open this. It's from Vince and Linda, we know how busy they both are and couldn't make it here, but this will make it up to you I mean they've helped us out in sticky situations." Shawn said as he handed Leon a big bag.
"Okay, I can do it." Leon said as he and Shawn headed back to the hall.
"By the way, congratulations on getting married." Shawn said with a smile.
"Thanks Shawn." Leon said with a smile.
Leon then put the bag between his and Sharon's seats, then he and his wife stood up to thank each guest for coming and congratulating them on the marriage. For guests who brought gifts Leon and Sharon told them to place them in a labeled area in the far-right corner of the reception hall. Once the last guest showed up at the reception hall, Leon and Sharon went back to their seats to get ready to for the speeches prepared by Karen and Shawn.
"Leon, my love. What's a bag doing here?" Sharon asked out of curiosity.
"It's a gift from my old boss who couldn't make it that Hunter and his wife brought down. However, I was told to open it while Shawn gives his speech." Leon answered honestly.
"Oh, okay. I thought it was something else. Thank you for clarifying it up." Sharon said in response.
"You're welcome. It looks like the speeches are about to start." Leon said with a smile on his face.
Once the guests had taken their seats and gotten silent they turned their attention to the table where groomsmen and bridesmaids were. Then Leon looked at either Karen or Shawn to see who was going to present the speech first. It didn't take long until a decision was made when Shawn got up to his feet.
"May I have everyone's attention please. First, on behalf of everyone here congratulations again to Mr. and Mrs. Leon S. When I got the call to be Leon's best man here today, I was a little emotional as I am right now. You see I have known him since 1993 when he was still green in the wrestling world, that's almost 26 years. He was finding ways to make his dreams come true when I first met him even though he was either around my group of friends or the people who mentored him. It wasn't until a year after his key mentor was in the Hall of fame when this lucky woman over here entered into Leon's world. After an encounter at a steakhouse, I knew that Leon had found someone special for him despite the circumstances that happened in between. When I found out that Leon reunited with her at another close friend of his, that's when he knew that his life was in full circle just like our friendship. I hope for many years and happiness for you and Sharon both." Shawn said his speech.
Leon opened the gift as instructed and it turned out to be an autographed IC belt with several signatures on it that Leon and Sharon recognized. Once Shawn got done with the speech and people were clapping, Leon hugged Shawn and then went to Hunter to hug him to whisper into his ear to tell Vince thanks for the gift. That took notice from Stephanie who was sitting in the table nearest the groomsmen and knew that the gift was opened. Then Leon sat back down to get ready for Karen to do her speech. Noticing how nervous his wife was getting, Leon held onto Sharon's hand firmly.
"I remember when me and Sharon were little and had always dreamed that someday one of us would find a man of our dreams. From playing make up to trying to sneak out to see the latest movie, Sharon you get to live out your dreams. Not only as your Maid of honor and older sister, but I am also proud of you. I will always remember that night when you met Leon at that steakhouse and told me before you talked to him that he was the one. Leon, at the beginning I almost had my doubts about you but once the years came and went I knew that you were the one and only for my sister. I mean you guys are the best parents to a sweet girl who couldn't ask for anything more and she was the flower girl. Here's to many years of happiness and blissful memories." Karen said in a passionate speech.
Then Karen sat down and was congratulated by both Leon and Sharon for a great speech. Soon after the speeches were done, then everyone was served with dinner based on the request that they sent in with the RSVPS.
"I noticed that you opened the gift from my dad. How did you guys like it?" Stephanie asked as she approached the newlyweds.
"I was blown away; I mean it's been years since I've seen that belt. How did your father come up with the idea?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"He had thought about it ever since you got inducted into the Hall of Fame. You know how he personalized the memorabilia on Hogan's frame when he got inducted. It was a little homage to that since he knew that you were a hard-working champion in the company." Stephanie answered honestly.
"You had to say that in front of your husband and some of his friends." Leon said with a sigh.
"I know. You know how my old man is." Stephanie said before she headed back to the table.
"I see some things haven't changed." Leon said with a sigh.
"Nope. What Steph said is basically the mantra that Vince's been going through. Ever since that new promotion came out to rival us." Hunter said in response.
"Oh, so it's like I have been hearing then. But knowing Vince as we all do he'll probably have a good strategy to fend them off like he did with that other company that was based around there." Leon said with confidence.
"Yeah. But let's not forget me, Scott, and Kid was a big part of that." Kevin said adding his two cents.
Leon nodded before taking a bite of his food, he then noticed that his wife was talking to the bridesmaids which didn't bother him to the slightest since he went straight back to focusing on his friend's attention. Suddenly Leon noticed that Shawn was getting ready to put on his trademark cowboy hat and that's when he knew things were getting serious. After seeing the people in the table was done eating, Leon noticed that Shawn was motioning the DJ to hand him the microphone.
"Before we continue this reception. The first dance should go to the groom and bride. The song was a special request by the groom himself. Now on the dance floor, Mr. and Mrs. Leon S." Shawn said on the microphone while Leon and Sharon made their way to the dance floor.
The song that Leon and Sharon danced to was "Together", a musical piece that had first been used in a wrestling storyline back in the early 90s and used again during the late 90s during wedding ceremonies. While the song was playing, Leon had the upmost smile on his face with Sharon looking in awe as each lyric reflected each aspect of their relationship.
"You've figured out why I picked this song didn't you." Leon said with a smile as the song was nearing the end.
"Yeah, it symbolizes our love for each other. I am incredibly happy and grateful for that, Leon. Thank you." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"Most certainly." Leon said once the song ended.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the newlyweds on their first dance. Next up is the father-daughter song and after that everyone will be able to get on the dance floor." Shawn said before handing the microphone to the DJ.
Leon walked up to Shawn for a moment because he knew the importance of the next song. However, before he could say anything, Leon notices that Nicole was coming in their direction.
"You did great out there as a flower girl, sweetie." Leon said as he hugged Nicole.
"Thanks, Daddy." Nicole said in response.
"You remember Mr. Shawn, Hunter and all of Daddy's friends from the other day?" Leon said with a smile on his face.
"Hmm-Hmm. I like that shiny belt you have over there, Daddy." Nicole said with a calm tone.
"Thanks, sweetie. That is a wedding gift from my old boss that Mr. Hunter and his wife brought down with them." Leon answered honestly.
"That's cool." Nicole said in a calm manner.
"Nicole, how many wrestling stories has your dad told you?" Shawn asked out of curiosity.
"A couple and he took me to see where he started out." Nicole said honestly.
"That's interesting." Shawn said in response.
"It is and I try to limit on which tales I tell her because there was one night I told her about one of our Kliq escapades and she woke up with a nightmare. Not only that, but Sharon also gave me the silent treatment for most of the day because of it." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Dude that's harsh but it's way things got be." Kevin said after Sean nodded.
"Looks like the dance floor is free to everybody now." Leon said once the father-daughter song was over.
Then it came time for the dance floor to be open for all of the guests and if they wanted to get refills on drinks this began the opportunity to do so. This gave Leon the opportunity to walk around and approach to the table where his sister was sitting at. Upon getting there Leon noticed how much fun his younger nieces were having.
"Congratulations, Leon. I know that you and Sharon will have a happy marriage." Rita said once Leon took a seat.
"Thank you, Sis. I appreciate it. Your kids are having a great time so far." Leon said in response.
"Yeah I have taken notice of that. How come you're not out there dancing?" Rita asked out of curiosity.
"Well, I wanted to stop by to see how you guys were holding up. Also, I appreciate the effort that your daughters did in being bridesmaids and Lincoln being ring bearer, that meant a lot to me and Sharon. It's my way of saying thank you." Leon said before stepping onto the dance floor.
Rita had a huge smile upon hearing that statement. Then a slow song came on, Leon motioned Nicole to come towards him. Sharon who at the time was proceeding to sit down noticed what was going on had a smile on her face that she grabbed Leon's phone so she could record the moment.
"Daddy, what do I do?" Nicole asked since it was her first-time dancing.
"Place your arms on my shoulders and follow the movements of my feet." Leon said with honesty.
"Like this, Daddy." Nicole answered once she did what she was told.
"Yes, just like that, sweetie." Leon said with a smile on his face.
Sharon who was still recording had a little crowd behind her consisting of the groomsmen looking over her shoulder. Once the song got done with a short time later, Sharon ended the recording to see the groomsmen behind her.
"That was decent. I know you guys were watching the whole thing." Sharon said with a darting look.
"Of course, it was decent. Don't get us wrong." Shawn said in a calm tone.
"Huh? What are you guys mentioning that was decent?" Leon said once he got to the table.
"Your wife recorded the dance you had with your daughter and she referred it to being decent." Shawn said in response.
"Oh, I can understand that." Leon said in a calm tone.
Before anyone could say anything the groomsmen wives wanted them, and Leon didn't mind this since it was at the point of the reception where people could leave or stay. This was the first time in the majority of the day that Leon and Sharon were not hectic busy.
"You seem a little unhappy about something, honey." Leon said out of concern.
"I'm a little upset that while I was trying to record the special dance you had with Nicole, your friends decided to watch from behind my back instead of their seats or on the floor. I am glad you showed up when you did or else I would have started a fight with your friends." Sharon said as she expressed her feelings.
"I know how things like that make you get upset if someone gets into your bubble. My friends, they should have known better. This is the exact reason why I chose to remain private after my endeavors were done in wrestling is because of stuff like this. To be honest I didn't think they should have put their two cents into how you did on the video." Leon said in response.
"Leon…. I didn't mean to." Sharon said with hesitation.
"It's okay, Sharon. Besides, it looks like they're leaving because they waved at us." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Oh, okay. I almost forgot they have to head back out in the morning for their next tour." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Do you want me to get you something?" Leon asked as he was about to get up.
"A glass of water will be fine. Thank you for cheering me up." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"Of course, I will be back with your water." Leon said as he went to a vendor.
As Leon was out and about, Sharon notices that Karen takes a seat right besides her.
"It seems a huge portion of guests that Leon invited left including his groomsmen." Karen said upon looking around the reception hall.
"Yeah, Sis. They have to go back to work starting tomorrow morning. I got uneasy with some of the groomsmen earlier." Sharon said in a statement.
"Yeah I could see that all the way from where I was, by the time I came to ask you about it I saw your husband was here." Karen said in a calm tone.
"He caught the tail end of the problem but after we talked it out he didn't seem impressed about what his friends had done." Sharon said honestly.
"I can see that definitely for sure because Leon understands, loves and cares for you deeply that he wouldn't do anything like that." Karen said in a calm tone.
"Here's your water that you asked for, honey. Hey, Karen." Leon said as he handed Sharon the bottle of water.
"Hi, Leon." Karen said in response.
"Thank you for getting me the water, darling." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"So have you guys decided on a spot for your honeymoon?" Karen said out of curiosity.
"Well, we were thinking about Hawaii. Thing is the Nicole situation though. I mean we're going you know just me and Leon but finding a person to watch Nicole during the duration of the honeymoon is the pickle we're in now." Sharon said honestly.
"Hmm…have you guys considered asking Mom and Dad to watch her for part of the time and let Rita's family do the same for the other?" Karen said in a suggestive manner.
"We did but the issue came up when it came to my sister's portion." Leon said in a calm tone.
"Oh, I almost forgot she has all of those kids to take care of. I mean…." Karen said upon realizing the obvious
"It's okay, Karen. I still don't think she wouldn't mind it at all, I mean my oldest niece lives on campus at the college that she goes to so the rooming issue shouldn't be a problem. Speaking of that I need to talk to my sister about this, I'll be right back, my love." Leon said right before making his way to Rita's table.
"Okay, darling." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"You two are already giving each other lovey dubbing names. I think it's cute." Karen said with a smirk on her face.
"Oh, Karen. It's a good thing I mean Leon doesn't get offended every time I call him by a cute name. Besides this is better than all of the names mom and dad used to give each other when we were younger." Sharon said with a laugh in her face.
"Oh, how could I ever forget. Speaking of Mom and Dad, it seems that they're having a good time and are hanging out with Nicole right now. If there's plenty of people that are happy for you and Leon on this day, Sis, it's your daughter. I mean she's been looking forward to this mostly her whole life and you guys got her dream to come true." Karen said in response.
"Yeah, just by looking at Nicole she's happy. I know it took me and Leon an exceptionally long road to get here. I mean we're trying to be the best parents that we could be for Nicole despite the hurdles that come our way." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Speaking of that, has she made friends or done anything significant?" Karen asked out of curiosity.
"Well Nicole tried to make a couple of friends, let's see when it was about a few weeks ago and it turned out that they were only friends for her to socialize at school. She did end up passing her classes at school after receiving her report card about a week ago." Sharon said honestly.
"That's very impressive at least she's making progress." Karen said in a calm tone.
"Yeah, but she still struggles in some things which the specialist told me, and Leon would help her out." Sharon answered honestly.
"I see, so do you guys keep the appointments in a similar pattern like how mom and dad did it when they used to take her?" Karen asked out of curiosity.
"Yes." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"Oh, looks like the brawny husband has returned, Sharon." Karen said with a smirk on her face.
"Okay, Rita said it was fine that Nicole stayed with them on the other part of the time while me and Sharon are on our honeymoon. What….is something wrong." Leon said in a calm voice.
"No." Karen said with the smirk look still on her face.
"It's that….." Sharon said before laughing.
"Okay, what's so funny?" Leon said in an honest tone.
"Well after you left, me and Sharon had remembered a weird part of our childhood when our parents used to give each other lovey dubbing names." Karen said honestly.
"Okay it still doesn't quite explain why Sharon's laughing though." Leon said in response.
"Hmm…good point. Sis, why are you laughing so much, you do realize you're starting to make a fool of yourself?" Karen asked out of curiosity.
"Sorry I had remembered a name that dad used to give mom when we were younger, but I wanted to say it because it was a little funny and not the place to do it." Sharon answered honestly.
"Sharon, you do realize that I am sitting right here. To be honest you did the right thing by not saying it but controlling it with laughter was something else entirely different." Leon said with a sigh.
"I'm deeply sorry, honey. I know that it is wrong to act childish especially in front of our families and mainly our daughter." Sharon said with a sympathetic voice.
Leon accepted the apology. A few seconds later the photographer wanted the bride and groom to have their pictures taken followed by their families. While the photos were being taken, the other guests were leaving the reception hall until it was Leon, Sharon, Nicole, and Karen.
"Well looks like everybody else now left Sis and Leon. Need help with anything." Karen said out of curiosity.
"Sure, Karen. Would you put some of the leftovers in your car and help carry some of our gifts to the trunk of my car." Leon said in response.
"Okay, no problem." Karen answered as she went to work.
"Mommy, I'm really tired." Nicole said as rubbed her eyes and yawned.
"I know, Nicole, sweetheart. We just got to wait for your dad and Auntie Karen to get done loading the cars up before we can head back to the hotel." Sharon said as she rubbed Nicole's head.
"Okay, Mommy." Nicole said in response.
Once Leon and Karen got done loading the cars with the wedding gifts and leftover food, that is when Sharon and Nicole went into Leon's car. Then Leon following behind Karen's car left the country club and headed back to the hotel. On the journey back, Leon notices that Sharon and Nicole feel asleep.
Upon arriving at the hotel, Leon got out of his car to meet up Karen who just pulled in a few seconds earlier.
"They must have been worn out from today's events." Karen said upon seeing Sharon and Nicole sleeping in Leon's car.
"Yeah. Karen, if you want to keep the leftovers at your house. I think Sharon wouldn't mind it at all because us and leftovers is a rarity in our house." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Okay, thank you. What will happen to the hotel check out since I'm heading straight home after this?" Karen asked out of curiosity.
"I'll take care of it. Well, it's getting darker outside, and we know how things tend to be at this point of the night." Leon said after looking at the sky.
"You're right. Thank you for everything, Leon. I knew that you would be a great brother-in-law. Tell Sharon and Nicole I said good night." Karen said before getting back in her car and heading off for home.
"No worries, Karen. I will, thank you for being a trustworthy sister-in-law." Leon thought to himself before walking back to his car. By the time he got to his car, Leon noticed that Sharon was waking up and nudged Nicole to wake up as well. This is when Leon explained to Sharon that Karen had gone back home and the conversation they had. That made Sharon feels relieved to hear what happened and got out of the car.
"Do you want to bring the gifts that we haven't opened up to the room?" Sharon asked out of curiosity.
"Hmm…might as well. Just for safety reasons. Come along, sweetie, stand by your mother." Leon said once he got Nicole out of the car.
After Leon got the wedding gifts out of the trunk, he along with Sharon and Nicole went inside the hotel and headed straight to the hotel room. Then Nicole went into the bathroom to take a bath while Sharon and Leon began to unwind on the bed. Sharon looking at the gifts wanted to open them and Leon who noticed the same thing had a similar thought.
"Hmm….so which one do you want to open first?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"What about that big bag that's uniquely decorated?" Sharon asked out of curiosity.
"Okay, I'll hand you the bag while I read the card that dropped from it." Leon answered honestly.
"Congratulations on your marriage, Leon and Sharon. Here's to many years filled with love, peace and happiness. Hope you guys enjoy the gift. Sincerely, Bret Hart" The card stated. Leon had a smile on his face and then Sharon pulled out a photo album with the Hitman's logo and looked inside to see the photos. Leon and Sharon were in awe of the photos that were inside the album.
"This is a nice gift, honey. The photos of your glory days and even us when we first met were in here. Who was this from?" Sharon asked out of curiosity.
"Bret gave us this." Leon answered honestly.
"I have chosen this unique bag for us to open next. It looks like it's from your mother and father." Leon said upon looking at the tag on the bag.
"Alright, let's see what my parents gave us." Sharon said with a smile.
"Hmmm…it looks like they gave us towels and scented candles." Leon said as he pulled the items out of the bag.
"That's unique to say the very least." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"It looks like the rest of them are cards except for two more bags that's next to you." Leon said with a calm voice.
"Yeah, we know that cards mostly are congratulatory and have a small chance of having money that could add to our funds. So, let's see what the remaining gifts are. One for you and one for me." Sharon said with a smile.
"You got a point there. Let's see the one in my lap is from Karen." Leon said as he showed the bag to Sharon.
"Oh…" Sharon said in response.
"It looks like she gave us a cookbook which fits our needs, aprons, and matching coffee mugs saying I heart my wife and husband." Leon said with a smile.
"Awe, that was nice of my sister to get us these gifts and put a lot of thought into them." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, that only leaves with one gift left." Leon said with a curious look.
"Oh, yeah. Let's see it's from Rita, Lynn and their children." Sharon said with a smile.
"Hmmm…" Leon said with a gleeful smile.
"They got us a sign from the children saying Welcome to Uncle Leon and Aunt Sharon's home. Also, Rita and Lynn gave us a vase for us to put flowers in." Sharon said with a smile.
"That's very thoughtful of them." Leon said with a smile on his face.
Once Leon and Sharon got done sorting out the gifts in a neat place, Nicole got out of the bathroom and Sharon went in there so she could take a shower. Then Leon showed Nicole all of the gifts that he and Sharon got. Nicole's face was beaming after looking at them and hugged her father before sitting on his lap.
"Daddy." Nicole said with a smile on her face.
"Yes, sweetie." Leon said in response.
"I had a lot of fun today. My dream came true. We're a happy family now." Nicole said with a smile on her face.
"I know, sweetie. Not only your dream came true today. So did me and your mother's." Leon said while rubbing Nicole's head.
"You mean my dream was something that you and mommy had thought about." Nicole said with a calm tone.
"That's right, you see, sweetie. Just like the story that me and your mom told you about how we met, well it was a continuation of that." Leon answered honestly.
"Oh, okay." Nicole said in response.
"Even though I was busy all day long. I noticed that you were making progress today, sweetie. I'm enormously proud of you and so is your mother." Leon said with a smile on his face.
"Thank you, Daddy. What's making you say that?" Nicole asked out of curiosity.
"Well, your Aunt Karen had talked with your mother about your recent progress, and it sounded like she's proud of you. That's why I needed to say it." Leon said with a smile on his face.
Nicole had a smile on her face upon hearing that statement and then gave a yawn. This prompted Leon to put Nicole on the other bed. In that moment, Sharon got out of the shower and was dressed in nightwear. Realizing what was going on Sharon went up to Leon and looked down on Nicole who was getting ready to fall asleep.
"Good night, sweetheart. Mommy loves you." Sharon said after giving Nicole a goodnight kiss on the forehead.
"Good night, sweetie. Daddy loves you. Sweet dreams." Leon said after giving a goodnight kiss to Nicole on the forehead.
"Good night, mommy and daddy." Nicole said right as she fell asleep.
Leon then proceeded to take his shower in the bathroom. While this was going on, Sharon proceeded to thank people on behalf of her and Leon for the wedding gifts via text messages. All of the messages were responded to immediately with no problems and congratulations again on the marriage. This brightened Sharon's mood greatly.
Sharon then proceeded to go to bed and started to get comfortable until she saw Leon coming out of the bathroom. Leon seeing that his wife was tired and in bed, he decided to join her.
"I'm completely worn out, honey. If I fall asleep at any time you'll understand why." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"It's okay, darling. We had a big day today and it took a huge toll on us. I mean I don't blame our sweet Nicole for feeling the same way after everything was done." Leon said as he massaged Sharon's back.
"Yeah…that's for sure…" Sharon said right as she fell asleep.
Leon looked to see that Sharon was in a deep sleep and gave her a goodnight kiss before he started to fall asleep.
