The next morning, Leon woke up and turned to the other side to see that Sharon was out on the balcony with her phone up in her ear. Then Sharon looked to see that her husband was awake and motioned for him to join her on the balcony. Leon after stretching his body got out of bed and went to the balcony taking a seat next to Sharon. After sitting down, Leon noticed that Sharon ended whatever phone call she was on and placed her phone face down on the table.
"Morning, darling." Sharon said upon kissing Leon.
"Morning, honey. Who was it that you were talking to?" Leon said with a smile.
"Oh, that was my mom." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Ah. What did she have to say?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"Oh, she was telling me how her and my dad are doing. Also, she asked me how our honeymoon was going so far and told her about the fun we had on the beach yesterday." Sharon said in response.
"That is good to hear. So….." Leon said before noticing Sharon had more to say.
"I did mention to my mom about that talk we had last night with me wanting to get a hysterectomy." Sharon said with a sigh.
"Yes and?" Leon said in response.
"She asked me if I took your feelings into consideration and I told her the truth. After she learned what we talked about, my mom understood and is in full support for me too." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"I'm very happy for you, honey." Leon said in response.
"Thank you Leon. If you're wondering why I'm out here other than the call was that I had a hard time falling asleep last night." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"I understand, jet lag can do that to people sometimes." Leon said with a smirk.
"Oh, by the way, Leon. Rita sent me a message earlier saying why you didn't notify her once we landed yesterday." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Oh, shoot. I better…." Leon said with a nervous feeling.
"Don't worry, I told her that we made it here and we're doing well. She understood why you didn't get the chance to talk right away." Sharon said with a smile.
"You're a lifesaver, honey." Leon said with a sigh.
Sharon took that as a compliment before kissing Leon on the cheek. Leon proceeded to smile and rubbed Sharon's shoulder in return. Then a couple of minutes later Leon's stomach started growling and soon after Sharon's did the same thing. Upon looking at each other, Leon and Sharon feeling hungry decided to head down to the breakfast area of the hotel.
Seeing how spacious the breakfast buffet was, Leon and Sharon got themselves a plate of breakfast and found a table similar to where they sat at the night before. After taking a couple of bites of their food, Leon and Sharon started to feel better since their hunger was getting satisfied.
"Shar-bear, you remember before we left how you thought we would have a difficult time sticking to our diet regime?" Leon said with a curious smile.
"Yeah, I do. But it seems that it's a lot easier and completely opposite than I thought." Sharon answered.
"You know where that comes from, honey. I believe that sometimes we need be more optimistic and supportive in order to overcome our difficulties." Leon said with a smile.
"I suppose you could say that Leon. That is good advice and something I need to work on more." Sharon said with her head down.
"Don't blame yourself, honey. It's something we can work on together; I mean I have difficulty on somethings too." Leon said as he lifted Sharon's head up to raise her spirits.
"Yes, Leon, my love." Sharon said with a regained smile.
Once they got done eating breakfast, Leon and Sharon went back to the hotel room to unwind. Then Sharon got up and started to take photos on her phone of the scenery and Leon. Leon had a red beat look on his face when Sharon took a picture of him. This led to Sharon to chuckling a bit after she got done with picture taking.
Leon then looked at the photos and was awestruck before he took some of Sharon as payback for earlier. Sharon however didn't mind which surprised Leon and gave her the phone back. This time Sharon loved the photos Leon took of her. Then Sharon got ready for the spa by changing into another swimsuit with a different shirt and shorts to cover her. Leon then went into the bathroom to change into the beach outfit he had on yesterday as his spa wear. Once they were ready to go, Leon and Sharon left the hotel and walked up to the nearest spa.
Luckily, the spa was empty, so Leon and Sharon went inside to ask the receptionist to see if a misuse was available to massage them. The receptionist pointed Leon and Sharon to a couple of chairs to wait while they went to get the misuse. A couple of minutes later, the receptionist nodded indicating that Leon and Sharon could head to the back where the misuse was. Then the misuse instructed Leon and Sharon upon entering the room to change into swimsuits and put a robe on before laying on the massaging tables. Sensing that this was a newlywed couple, the misuse knew what kind of massage and lotions to apply on Leon and Sharon.
Once they felt the lotion on their backs, Leon and Sharon felt like they were in heaven. Then the misuse did his work for another half hour before letting Leon and Sharon get up from the massaging tables. After putting their clothes on, Leon and Sharon thanked the misuse before heading to the front door to pay the receptionist for their spa services.
Upon leaving the spa, Leon and Sharon felt refreshed all around. Leon found a bench about a few blocks away for him and Sharon to sit on.
"That spa was lovely, darling. I've never felt so good in my life after a spa treatment." Sharon said with a sigh.
"I'd bet, honey. So, where do you want sight see first?" Leon said out of curiosity.
"Hmm…how about finding a souvenir shop? I mean there's bound to something that we can bring back for our nieces and nephew. Besides, we already got Nicole's souvenir." Sharon said with a smile.
"Oh, yeah. I totally forgot about that. But are you sure you want to risk finding 11 different souvenirs even though they'll end up fighting for what we get them?" Leon said with a calm tone.
"Most certainly, Leon. I want to try to be a caring and understanding aunt for them." Sharon said in response.
"I know, honey. I just wanted to make sure that what you're doing is right." Leon said with a smile.
"It is Leon. I mean Rita even asked me to bring the kids back something earlier." Sharon said with a sigh.
"It's okay, Shar-bear. You're not in trouble by telling me that. I think my sister is trying to help you make a decent impression now as an aunt to her kids." Leon said in a reassuring way.
"You think so?" Sharon said in an honest tone.
"Yes, I can remember when I first met them, and I felt a similar way like you are. Back then I had just retired from wrestling and wanted to reconcile with my family, on the day I reconciled with my old man he had a picture of the kids in his room at the retirement place he was in. This was the moment when I knew my journey to reconcile was timed right and after I reconciled with Rita which she probably told you about. Well, I met her family a few days later by her request and after introducing myself to them at a restaurant, Lincoln you know how curious that boy can be well he asked me a revealing question which surrounded the strain relationship of the family. However, the next night he felt out of place for asking me that, but I told him that I didn't mind it at all. Then right at that moment I knew I had made a decent impression on being an uncle to my sister's children." Leon said with a smile on his face.
"That makes sense. So, I have a question. Even though we are raising our daughter and such, is it possible to have a close relationship with nieces and nephew?" Sharon said with concern.
"I couldn't see why not, Shar-bear. I mean take me for example again, I still consider having a close relationship with my niece Luna despite that me and you have Nicole as a daughter. Nicole understands this actually because Luna's babysat her the most out of all my nieces and asked me upfront about it one day, so I told her the truth." Leon said with a smile on his face.
"Oh, okay. But how could I tell which one will have that kind of bond?" Sharon said with a curious smile.
"Hmm…just find time to hang out with them and it will gradually form. Believe me, Shar-bear. It will work." Leon said with a smile.
Sharon nodded upon standing up from the bench and Leon followed her. Then Leon and Sharon went into a couple of souvenir shops before walking out with a couple of bags in each hand. Amazed on how much they got, Leon and Sharon had decided to immediately put the items in their suitcases once they got back to the hotel room.
Then Sharon unwinds on the bed while Leon went out on the balcony to take a seat by himself. A few minutes pass before Leon comes back inside and cuddles up with Sharon, however he has a mixed feeling on his face. This prompted a cause of concern for Sharon who looked at her husband now having tears in his eyes.
"Leon, what's the matter?" Sharon said with concern.
"I don't know, honey. I feel sad for some reason." Leon said with a tear down his face.
"Hmmm…. oh, today is the anniversary of. That's why you're feeling sad because of the grief impacted you." Sharon said upon looking at the calendar.
"Yeah…that could be the case. Hard to believe it's been a year since my dad passed away. You know that I miss him dearly, but he wouldn't want me to see me sad." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Yes, darling. I know he would be proud of you for marrying me and the choices you've made in the past year." Sharon said with a smile.
"You're right, Shar-bear. That made me feel a lot better." Leon said before kissing Sharon.
Sharon had a smile on her face after receiving the kiss from Leon and moved closer to him to help wipe off the tears he had on his face. Then Leon proceeded to tickle Sharon which lasted for a little while until they ran out of breath. While recuperating Sharon winked at Leon before she reached her hand to hold on to his.
"I love you so much." Leon said with a smile.
"I know, darling. Because I love you a whole lot." Sharon said with a smile.
"We still got a couple of days left on our honeymoon and basically just knocked out everything we wanted to do in just one, honey. So, what do you want to do for the rest of the time?" Leon said while looking at Sharon.
"Well, we could spend some time on the beach. I mean unless there was something else you wanted to do then I am okay with that." Sharon said with a smile.
"I'm okay with that, Shar-bear." Leon said with a smile.
Sharon smiled as she heard the words coming from Leon's mouth. Then Leon yawned before he started to take a nap and Sharon looked on. "This is the best honeymoon I've ever been on. I thank you for all of the memories we've made here in Hawaii, my love. I wouldn't change it for the world. You're thinking the same way I am, Leon." Sharon thought to herself while she looked at Leon who was deep into his nap.
