Two days later, Leon and Sharon with their suitcases all packed checked out of the hotel before heading to Honolulu Airport. Once they got to the airport to check-in for their flight back to Detroit and put their bags as carry-ons, Leon and Sharon found time for a quick breakfast since their first flight was not far away. After eating their breakfast, Leon and Sharon got to the terminal where the plane was on time as it was about to board passengers.
Once they got on the plane for the flight which is a layover of Honolulu to Los Angeles, Leon and Sharon found good seats and started to take a little nap since the flight was long and so would the day. By the time the plane landed in LA, Leon and Sharon awoke from their naps feeling refreshed. Upon exiting the plane, Sharon looked at Leon with a curious look.
"How much time do we have before the next flight, darling?" Sharon said with a curious smile.
"Hmmm…. I think we got about an hour, honey. However, it depends on where the next terminal is." Leon answered boldly.
Leon looked at the departure schedule at LAX and found that the next terminal that he and Sharon was only three terminals east of their current spot. Sharon walked up to where Leon was to see what he was looking at and nudged at him.
"You are thinking what I'm thinking?" Sharon said after nudging Leon.
"Yes, lunch at subway again." Leon said with a smile.
"Hmm-Hmm. I know you too well, darling." Sharon said with a smirk before walking to the subway restaurant.
After getting their lunches from subway, Leon and Sharon ate at a table not far from the terminal. While eating, Leon was sending some text messages on his phone and Sharon had a curious look on her face.
"What are you doing, darling?" Sharon said with curiosity.
"I was sending a message to your sister that we're in LA now and we'll call her once we land in Detroit. So, it gives her an idea what time we'll be coming home." Leon said after taking a bite of his lunch.
"Oh, okay." Sharon said with a smile.
Leon took his last bite of lunch before getting a reply from Karen and showed it to Sharon. Then Sharon felt at ease to see the messages. Leon had a genuine smile on his face before turning off his phone. Then a couple of minutes passed before the layover flight was getting ready to board which prompted Leon and Sharon to get in line. Once they got on the plane, Leon and Sharon had the feeling that they were really ready to go back home but a part of them is missing their honeymoon.
"Leo, darling. You know something." Sharon said once she and Leon were seated on the plane.
"Yes, Shar-bear. Before saying anything further, I think Leo suits me fine as my special nickname from you." Leon said while putting his finger at Sharon's lips.
"I'm glad you like it. Anyway, oh…. shoot I lost my train of thought." Sharon said before blushing.
"Take your time, honey." Leon said with a smile.
"Oh, now I remember what it was. You are missing Hawaii yet?" Sharon said with a calm tone.
"A little bit. You?" Leon said in response.
"I would say the same, my love. But we would miss our families and friends back home. So that's why I am ready to head back home." Sharon said with a smile.
"Yeah I agree with you on there. Besides, I am ready for a lifetime of adventures that comes our way." Leon said while holding onto Sharon's hand.
"Definitely, as long as we're there for each other." Sharon said with a smile.
Then the plane flight from Los Angeles to Detroit felt shorter once it took off. Throughout the flight Leon and Sharon were reading books they'd bought in the airport store. Since the flight was short on time, Leon had enough time to get through his book and put it in Sharon's purse before the plane's PA system announced that they were in Detroit airspace. Since it was late afternoon by the time the plane landed in Detroit, Leon and Sharon had decided to immediately head to baggage claim to see their suitcases were out first.
The only thing left now was to find Leon's car in parking garage of the airport in which Leon found with no problems with Sharon only a few feet behind him. After putting their suitcases in the trunk of the car, Leon and Sharon got out of the airport and drove off for home.
Not even a few miles outside of Detroit, Leon pulled his phone out and turned it on. This prompted Sharon to call Karen and put her on speaker phone.
"Hi, Karen. We're calling to say that we just left Detroit and now on our way home." Leon said once the call went out.
"That's good, Leon. Have you guys eaten dinner yet?" Karen said in response.
"No, Sis. We had lunch a while ago at our layover spot." Sharon said in response.
"I figured you'd put me on speaker, Leon. Ok, Shar. I was wondering because I am going to go ahead and start making dinner to mark your guys coming home." Karen said in response.
"That's nice of you, Sis." Sharon said with a smile.
"Thank you. I think someone wants to talk to you guys. See you when you get home." Karen said with a calm tone.
"Ok, Karen." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Hi, Mommy and Daddy." Nicole said once she got ahold of Karen's phone.
"Hi, sweetie. How excited are you to see me and your mom?" Leon said with a smile.
"A lot, Daddy." Nicole said in response.
"Hi, sweetheart. It's wonderful that you're excited to see us. You know something me and your dad are almost on our way home. If you can be a good girl, try to help out your aunt with dinner." Sharon said with a smile.
"Ok, Mommy. I will. See you and Daddy when you get home. Love you." Nicole said.
"Love you too, sweetie." Leon said.
"Love you, always, sweetheart." Sharon said before hanging up the phone.
Then Sharon proceeded to send a message to Rita about her and Leon being home very shortly. Leon knew what Sharon was doing and didn't mind it at all. Once Sharon got a reply from Rita, she told her that she'll drop off the souvenir gifts the next day. After that message was sent and replied back into an understood, Sharon had gotten another message from Rita in which shocked her.
"Leo, there's a situation that Rita wanted me to tell you about and let's say it's not good." Sharon said as she showed Leon the message.
"Ok, tell her I'll take care of it right away. Gosh darn it, she's going to be in a world of trouble once I find her. Sorry, Shar-bear I'm afraid we're going to have to make a side stop." Leon said with a sigh as he clenched on the steering wheel tightly.
"Okay…But find your calm mantra." Sharon said with concern.
By the time they entered Royal Woods, Sharon sent the message to Rita like Leon requested while concerned for her husband's temper. This was during a search for Luna who hadn't checked in on the family after a certain time and it wasn't the first time recently this had happened based on the message Sharon received from Rita. A few minutes after entering Royal Woods, Sharon shows Leon a figure looking like Luna walking a few hundred yards away from the high school with no one around. That's when Leon stopped the person in their tracks and long behold it was Luna.
"Luna Loud, you're in a world of trouble, young lady." Leon said with a stern voice.
"Uncle Leon, I can…" Luna said with hesitation in her voice.
"Car, Now." Leon said with the stern tone being raised.
Luna got into Leon's car on the passenger side, then Leon droves away from the school. About a mile away from the school, Leon stopped the car which surprised Sharon and Luna. Then Leon adjusted his mirror to have it focused on Luna.
"Uncle Leon, what's going on? Why am I in trouble?" Luna asked out of curiosity.
"Your aunt will show the message that she got from your mom." Leon said with a sigh.
"You serious it's because Lola tattled on me for something that I didn't even do. It's the third time recently she's done that to me. I don't…." Luna said as she was about to cry.
"I'm sorry to lash out at you, Luna." Leon said with an apology.
"It's okay." Luna said.
"Have you told your side of the story to your mom or dad?" Sharon asked out of curiosity.
"I'm afraid to, Aunt Sharon. You see if I did such a thing I don't know if they'll ever believe me over a seven-year-old. I mean Lola's done this to almost all of my other siblings because that's she is." Luna said with a sigh.
"We believe you, Luna. But as much as I know your mom she won't like the fact about you running out from your problems." Leon said with a calm tone.
"I know, Uncle Leon. Can you take me home now?" Luna said.
"Of course." Leon said in response as he started the vehicle.
"Aunt Sharon, how was you and Uncle Leon's honeymoon?" Luna asked out of curiosity.
"We had a great time. Your uncle and I enjoyed the wonders of Hawaii." Sharon said in response.
"Don't forget about getting soaked by the ocean waves twice." Leon said with a smirk.
"Okay, smarty-pants. That was one wave which drenched my shirt and swimsuit while the other almost made me freeze my butt off." Sharon said in response.
Luna had to chuckle a little before the car was parked in front of the Loud house; that's when she saw her mother standing on the front porch waiting for her to come home. Rita went up to the car to let Luna out and waved at Leon and Sharon. However, Leon stopped Rita and Luna from taking a step. Before he could say anything, Leon popped the trunk open to get into the suitcases so he could find the souvenirs for the Loud Children. Once he found the souvenir bags, Leon pulled them out and placed them on the ground before shutting the suitcases back into the trunk of the car.
"Here you go, Luna. These are souvenirs that me and your aunt got for you, your sisters and Lincoln from our honeymoon. But can you stay for a moment, isn't there something that you would like to tell your mom." Leon said once he handed the souvenir bags to Luna.
"Mom, all of that stuff Lola said about me recently. I did not do any of those things. I am sorry for running out instead of saying this immediately to you and dad when this began." Luna said in a calm tone.
"Sweetie, I am proud of you for telling me the truth. I am still going have to punish you for running out from us." Rita said before motioning Luna to head inside the house.
"Well, Sis. Me and Sharon better head on home since her sister should have dinner cooked by now. Also, I got a daughter who's excited for our homecoming." Leon said before getting into his car.
"Glad to have you guys back home. Have a good night." Rita said.
Leon nodded before he and Sharon drove off for their home which was only a couple of blocks away. By the time they saw their house in view, Leon and Sharon noticed a familiar face standing out on the front porch holding a welcome home sign. This put a huge smile on Leon and Sharon's faces upon seeing who it was. Once Leon pulled into the driveway, he and Sharon got out of the car to be greeted by their daughter, Nicole.
"Welcome home, Mommy and Daddy." Nicole said as she hugged her parents.
"Thank you, sweetie. That's a wonderful sign you made for us." Leon said after kissing Nicole on the forehead.
"Thank you Daddy. Auntie Karen thought so too." Nicole said in response.
"Your moms got something for you, sweetie." Leon said as he rubbed Nicole's head.
"Okay." Nicole said as she went to where Sharon was while Leon went to get the suitcases out of the car.
"Nicole, sweetheart. Your dad and I brought you back a couple of things since we couldn't make up our minds on what to get you. So, I want you to close your eyes for a second…. ehh…, no peeking. What do you think?" Sharon said as she placed a luau on Nicole's neck and a seashell bracelet.
"I like it a lot. Thank you, Mommy." Nicole said as she hugged Sharon.
"Don't forget to thank your dad since he suggested the bracelet." Sharon said with a smile.
"Ok, I will." Nicole said with a smile.
Nicole and Sharon went inside to see that Leon was sitting alongside with Karen at the dining room since dinner was ready. Before she could take her seat, Nicole hugged Leon as a sign for thanking him for the gifts she got. Then everyone proceeded to eat dinner with a smile on their faces.
Once dinner was over with, Nicole felt tired and took a bath before heading off to bed. Then Sharon went to get a couple of glasses of water for her, Karen and Leon.
"Nicole was hyper all day waiting for you guys to come home. I guess that's why she went to bed early." Karen said in a calm tone.
"Yeah, I suppose so. How was she while we were gone?" Leon said with a calm tone.
"Good. She got to play around at the park one day and she introduced me to her friends. They were genuinely nice. I mean they treat her well like anyone else. What else, oh I took her to see my parents and I couldn't believe what my dad was trying to teach her but luckily me and my mom noticed that Nicole had good judgment and didn't do it. Other than those things, that explains everything." Karen said with a smile.
"Oh, your old man is gambling again. Thank goodness you guys caught it in time." Leon said with a calm tone.
"I know Leon. Anyways, your sister was over here earlier….." Karen said.
"Yes, she notified Sharon actually and that's what took us a few minutes longer to get here. I was taking care of that. I mean Sharon was concerned that I was about to lose my temper over it." Leon said with a sigh.
"Yes, Sis. I really was because a situation like that is something you don't want to come home hearing about immediately." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Of course. I mean from the looks of it you two are feeling better." Karen said with a smile.
"That's true." Leon said with a smile.
"So, how did your honeymoon go?" Karen said with curiosity.
"It went great. Just that on the first day while out on the beach, I didn't know that waves could get really high and drenched my shirt and swimsuit badly. But that is not the irony of its Leon barely got soaked. Besides that, we had fun at the spa, lovely foods and the scenery." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Okay I'll admit after the waves we had to be cautious since you don't like to be embarrassed out in public after things like this." Leon said with a smile.
"Other than that, you guys had a great time. I'm glad to hear that." Karen said in response.
Leon put his glass in the sink and kissed Sharon before he headed off for bed. Karen noticed that Sharon wanted something else to drink so she grabbed the water glasses and dumped them in the sink before getting coffee cups and poured a cup of tea in each cup.
"Shar, Mom was telling me that you're planning on getting a hysterectomy. What inspired you to make this decision?" Karen said out of curiosity.
"Well, Sis. Me and Leon are happy with Nicole, besides with the diagnosis she has and if we would have planned to have any more children that would put less attention on her. Also, you remember the compilations I had when I gave birth to Nicole and I almost didn't make it. This is what led me to the decision of having my hysterectomy." Sharon said with honesty.
"I'm happy for you then by making this decision, Shar." Karen said in response.
"Thank you Karen." Sharon said in response.
"Leon was telling me earlier that you're in a bit of a bind about balancing time out between motherhood and being an aunt." Karen said with a calm tone.
"Yeah, I am in a bind, Sis. There are things about being an aunt that I don't know about yet and if my duties raising Nicole would get in the way of that." Sharon said with a concerned look.
"No, you would never want to think like that. Because that could ruin the relationships you're trying to work on. Instead find equal time for both child, niece or nephew so that way they are aware you are giving them proper attention and love they need. However, if you want to have a close relationship with a niece or nephew try to see if they have similar interests as you. This will take time and in some cases the close relationship you're seeking could even be your own child." Karen said with a calm tone.
"Wow, I never really thought of it that way, Sis. You should be a counselor or something." Sharon said with a smile.
"Well, I did take some psychology classes back in college, Shar." Karen said with a smirk.
"Hmm-Hmm. You were always the smart one." Sharon said with a sigh.
"Yeah but I always supported you whenever we got into trouble by mom and dad. Don't forget that, Shar." Karen while taking a sip of her tea.
"Yeah you were there to get me out of messes like that time back in high school when we snuck out of the house to see that one concert dad wouldn't let us go to." Sharon said with a smile.
"Oh man how could I ever forget that Sis. We tried to put our books in place of us when we did leave through our window when mom would check on us. I mean the only way we would have enjoyed that concert is if Dad's friends didn't spot us in the back row after we paid our way in." Karen said with a sigh.
"Yeah, Karen. I mean don't forget they let us stay until halfway through before one of them had to take us back home. I remember that mom and dad weren't pleased with us for a while after that." Sharon said with a sigh.
"Yeah, Shar. It took them a month or two before we got back into their good graces." Karen said in response.
While Sharon and Karen were talking a sip of tea, they notice Nicole coming downstairs which prompted a concerned look on Sharon's face. Karen noticed that and got a glass of water for Nicole.
"Nicole, sweetheart. What's the matter?" Sharon said with concern.
"Mommy, I had a nightmare. Can I stay up with you and Auntie Karen?" Nicole said in a trembling voice.
"Of course, sweetheart." Sharon said with a comforting way.
"I'm sorry for….." Nicole said with hesitation.
"It's not your fault Nicole. Okay." Karen said in a reassuring way.
"Thank you for cheering me up Auntie Karen." Nicole said with a smile.
"No problem anything for my adorable niece." Karen said with a smile.
"Auntie Karen since Mommy's back now. Can I please ask the question I talked about the other day?" Nicole said with a calm tone.
"What question? Oh yeah that one." Karen said in response.
"Nicole Ann, what did you ask your aunt for?" Sharon said with a curious tone.
"I asked Auntie Karen the other day who was more popular with boys back when you two were younger. But she told me to wait until you got home to ask for the truth and such." Nicole said with a nervous tone.
"Yes, Sis. It wasn't anything out there I promise you." Karen said with a sigh.
"I'm sorry for being harsh at you, sweetheart. To answer your question, well I had half of the men's varsity team of me and your aunt's high school trying to hound me out. Luckily for your mom here had smarts to move them aside. I mean your aunt can attest to that." Sharon said to Nicole.
"Yeah, Nicole. Your mom had most boys coming to her, but she had smartened up about which ones to talk to especially if she wanted to bring them to papa and nana's. Your papa was a lot tougher and stricter on me and your mom back then more so on your mother since she was his little girl. Due to this, your mom hardly dated in high school and instead focused on her schooling and athletics. That was something both Papa and Nana were really proud of like I was." Karen said in response.
"So, Daddy was the?..." Nicole said with smile.
"Yes, your dad was the first serious guy I was romantically involved with. When he met your Papa and Nana for the first time, they were impressed with him by everything that he did for me and his manners. Of course, it took a while for your aunt to like him too." Sharon said with a smile.
"Yeah you had to bring that up. Nicole, your mom is saying is that the beginning I had some doubts about your dad when they first dated because I thought she would push him like the jocks back in high school. I was wrong by the time they went on their fifth date and knew your dad was the one for your mom. Even though I was there on the night they first met each other, it took me the longest to understand everything." Karen said with a calm tone.
"What about you Auntie Karen?" Nicole said with curiosity.
"Well, I wasn't that popular with boys around the school during the time. However, I did become romantically involved with two guys in high school. The first lasted for only a semester my freshman year of high school until I found out he was going out with one of my good friends at the time which ended up being a rumor talk during that summer. Then the second guy was excuse me for a moment…" Karen said before taking deep breathing and taking a sip of tea.
"Mommy, what is wrong with Auntie Karen?" Nicole said with concern.
"Here is your inhaler, Sis. You okay?" Sharon said as she found Karen's emergency inhaler before administrating a couple of puffs of air into Karen's airways.
"Yes I am feeling better now, Sis. Thank you for finding my inhaler on time. I'm sorry for scaring you and Nicole like that its whenever I remember certain major traumatic moments that actually happened I go into these panic attacks. Oh, Nicole I know you wanted to hear the rest of my answer but….." Karen said with a sympathetic tone.
"It's okay, Auntie Karen. I understand." Nicole said with a smile.
"Thank you, Nicole. If you guys need me I'll be in the bathroom." Karen said in response.
Karen with the inhaler in her hand went upstairs to the bathroom. While Sharon looked on with a deep sigh, this caused concern for Nicole who just finished her glass of water.
"Mommy, you okay?" Nicole said with a concerned look.
"I'm a little worried about your aunt right now. Your aunt has never gotten over what she was about to tell you next, sweetheart. I think it would be best if I told you this outside." Sharon said with a sigh while signaling Nicole to come to the backyard.
Once Sharon and Nicole were in the backyard, they found two chairs to sit on. Sharon taking a glance at the night sky before looking at her ever curious daughter Nicole takes a deep breath.
"The second guy your aunt Karen went out with. Oh man, he deeply cared for her and they were about the same age. I'll never forget the day when they met, she was a junior in high school, and I was a freshman at the time. Your aunt had met this guy at one of my games back in high school and he was from the opposing school. It was at an away game where your Nana and Papa couldn't make it, so your aunt had to drive me back home. Anyways, after my game which was before the guy's game your aunt told me about this cute guy she was talking to during my game, and he was about to play next. So, we decided to stay to watch the guys play and I had never seen your aunt so fixated on something in her life. Then a couple of weeks pass before, your aunt gets a letter from the guy wanting her to go out on a date with him. I had never seen your aunt so happy in her life and people at school, Papa and Nana took notice too before they found out." Sharon said with a sigh.
"How did Papa and Nana react to it?" Nicole said in response.
"Well, your Nana was alright with it of course just your Papa was caught off guard before giving your aunt a lecture." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"That's Papa for you when something unexpected comes his way." Nicole said with a smirk.
"Anyway, your Papa took a liking to the guy after a while since he saw that your aunt's attitude at the time was starting to get straightened out especially whenever the guy was around her. So, their relationship was blissful for a few months and lasted into the middle summer months. That was until the 4th of July weekend that summer when tragedy struck. It was a day I would never forget. I was supposed to hang out with my friends to watch the fireworks that night until your Nana got a call from the hospital saying that your aunt and the guy she was dating was in a serious car accident. That was when I had to cancel my plans and ride up with your grandparents up to the hospital. Once we got there, I'll never forget what the nurse said to your Nana and Papa. The guy that was dating your aunt Karen died on impact and your aunt Karen was in serious condition but noted when paramedics arrived she was wearing her seat belt." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Is that why Auntie Karen carries the inhaler with her all the time?" Nicole said in response.
"Yeah, sweetheart. You see once your aunt woke up immediately after the accident she had bad panic attacks and trauma from that day. She lost the one person who genuinely loved her and chose not to find love again because it would bring back those memories. Your grandparents had her go to counseling since she wasn't herself for a while after that day and it helped her a lot. That's why she doesn't like talking about it because it brings back those memories to that day. I mean she still has guy friends, but they all understand and know her situation." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"Oh okay. Mommy, can I go hug Auntie Karen before I go to bed. I want to….." Nicole said before noticing that Karen stepped outside with her and Sharon's tea glasses.
"You can, Nicole. Good Night." Karen said as she hugged Nicole before Nicole went inside to head back to bed.
Then Sharon noticed how warm the tea was after taking a sip and Karen smiled indicating that she refilled the glasses before coming to the backyard.
"Sis, I am sorry that the question would bring back…." Sharon said with a gloomy tone.
"It's okay, Shar. Don't beat yourself on guilt. I'm glad Nicole understands the truth about the way I am, I felt it in the hug she gave me." Karen said with a smile.
"Really? I'm happy to hear that. I hope I didn't over do it with your inhaler." Sharon said with a nervous feeling.
"Nah, it's still about three quarters full. Besides, I just got this thing refilled the other day." Karen said as she pulled out the inhaler.
"Oh, okay. Want to see the photos I took of the honeymoon? I've got some funny ones of Leon in there." Sharon said with a smile.
"Okay, now you're talking, Shar." Karen said as Sharon was pulling her phone out to get to the photo album.
Karen and Sharon were scrolling through the photos, some they were laughing at while others they were at awe. However, Karen was looking at a video that showed up on the album and showed it to Sharon. Upon playing it, the video title says husband's attempt to serenade wife gone wrong and Sharon was about to chuckle.
"Can you tell me what happens in the video before I hit play again, Shar?" Karen said with a curious smile.
"Okay, one of the nights we were in Honolulu, Leon takes me to this decent restaurant which we had no idea was also a karaoke bar. So, one of the waiters' notices that we're newlyweds and chose Leon to come up stage to sing a song to serenade me with. However, Leon doesn't know that I knew that he had a deadbeat look on his face by the time he got up there. That's when I decided to record the song he did for me and you'll see what happens after that." Sharon said with a calm tone.
Then Karen played the video and she laughed at parts of it. Sharon knew this would make her sister happy and decided to laugh along with her. Suddenly Karen notices a light coming on in the room above the kitchen and nudges Sharon to hush for a moment. The curtain opens along with the window to see that it came from Leon and Sharon's bedroom.
"Sorry if our laughter woke you, darling." Sharon said with a sympathetic tone.
"Ok…. honey. Just make sure when you get back inside to make sure that all the doors are locked. Good night, Sharon and Karen." Leon said before he closed the window and curtain.
"That was a close one, Shar. I didn't know Leon was still awake." Karen said with a sigh.
"He could have been up to take his medication and was probably counting to see how many pills he had left before calling the pharmacy for a refill. Since he was nearly out of his medication before we left." Sharon said in response.
"Speaking of that his refills did come in the mail the other day and I told him about it. He felt relieved to hear that." Karen said with a calm tone.
"That's good to know." Sharon said in response.
"Oh, while I was in the bathroom earlier I notified mom that you and Leon made it home safely. She told me to tell you guys that her and dad love you always, also she will try to talk to you tomorrow after her hair appointment." Karen said with a smile.
"Thank you Sis. I would have talked to mom earlier but with everything happening at once it was hard to find the time." Sharon said with a calm tone.
"I know and she understands that." Karen said with a smile.
"It's getting chilly out here, I'm heading back inside." Sharon said as she was freezing.
Karen followed suit and brought the glasses of tea along with her while Sharon locked up the house. Then Sharon and Karen headed to the living room to sit on the sofa but not before Sharon pulled out a cozy blanket to have for them to share. While enjoying the warmth of the blanket, Sharon and Karen continued to sip on their tea which turned cold.
"Shar, won't Leon be lonely if you don't go up there?" Karen said with a concerned look.
"Leon will be fine. I know you were getting at with this, but I spent almost an entire week with him. Besides, I wanted to catch up and hang out with my older sister. Isn't that a good thing?" Sharon said in a gloomy tone.
"Of course, I love hanging out with you, my little sister. It's that I thought that since you're married now I figured you'd sleep with him on your first night back from your honeymoon. I know there are no problems between you guys and all." Karen said with a calm tone.
"Oh okay. It's that I wanted to take every opportunity I had to spend time with you while you're still here and I am trying to understand my role as a wife." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"Umm…. Shar about the living arrangements. I found out some bad news while you and Leon were away, the apartment complex I was in had finished their inspection well it turned out that someone had committed multiple murders about three doors down from my place. So, they're going to demolish the entire complex soon, but I had all of my stuff in a storage locker before I found out. I was wondering if I could stay longer until I can find a place of my own." Karen said with a calm tone.
"Of course, Sis. I am guessing mom and dad found out about this and tried to change your mind about living arrangements." Sharon said with a curious smile.
"Well, you're half right, Shar. Mom and Dad knew about this however they told me as long as I was helping you and Leon out in anyway I could with the house or Nicole then they were happy with it." Karen said with a smile.
"I'm happy that mom and dad are seeing how much you've helped especially with our family, Sis. I appreciate that more than anything else you know." Sharon said joyfully.
"Yeah I agree, Sis. If I fall asleep don't mind me…." Karen said right before falling asleep on Sharon's shoulder.
Then a few seconds later, Sharon proceeded to yawn before proceeding to put her head on top of Karen's. "Ah….it feels like back when we were younger. Doesn't it, Karen? I am so glad to have you as my big sister and close confidant." Sharon thought to herself before she fell asleep. Then Sharon's arm was placed over Karen's shoulder and after that no more movement came from them as they slept away through the night.
