Starscream was overwhelmed.

There were no other words for this situation. How did Nya do this every week? How did every single organic on the planet do this!?

"You, okay?" Nya asked, leaning towards his Holoform's audio sensor.

The false brown eyes of the holoform, glanced over to the human woman, before returning to the mess in front of him that was called a 'Supermarket'. What had possessed him to join Nya on her weekly trip to this place of chaos? Not even he knew.

"I'm not so sure, anymore," Starscream said.

"Well, no backing out of it, now," Nya said.

"On the contrary, I could just deactivate my holoform and wake up perfectly safe in my quarters."

"Yeah, like a full-grown man suddenly vanishing in this crowd wouldn't turn a few heads."

Scrap! Why did she had to be right? Deactivating his holoform here, would 100% draw unnecessary attention, and that could get him in serious trouble. Sure, he had noticed that Optimus lead the Autobots very differently than Megatron lead the Decepticons, but he had yet to bring about the prime's wrath. Blowing cover would certainly not please him, and with Nya as the seeker's 'commanding officer' who knows what trouble this could cause for her. Just being here was already pushing his luck.

He sighed, "I hate you."

Nya raised a fuzzy optic ridge, "Hey, you were the one who insisted on coming, don't shift the blame on me," the pilot said, though Starscream could tell from her tone that she was teasing and not actually upset.

And once again she was right…he had asked to come. Could he blame himself? Probably, but he wasn't going to admit that, and he'd be lying if where Nya left the base for once a week hadn't made him curious. After being discharged, Nya had gone to stay with the Autobot's human medic, for a few weeks to allow her injuries to further heal. But once the medic, June, Starscream thought her designation was, cleared her Nya came to stay at the silo. It wasn't really that much of a jarring change, considering that humans had stayed there permanently in the past. She had just moved into one of the unused human barracks.

There was the matter of human fuel though. Apparently before, Starscream and Nya had arrived the Autobots had something called a mini fridge, which Nya explanted was a kind of storage unit for human fuel, for the children to keep snacks in. Though, letting a mechanical alien species keep the mini fridge stocked, wasn't the best idea.

It was quite amusing to watch Nya explain that the 'screwdriver' that Agent Fowler had mentioned wasn't the tool, or should be given to children in general. After that conversation she had taken over stocking the fridge as she needed to go into the nearby human settlement to get needed supplies anyway. It was after a few times that she had gone, was when Starscream had come to her asking her to come.

It was only now he realized how much of an idiot he was for doing so.

"Don't look at me like that," Nya said, noticing the glare he was giving her, she sighed, and shook her head "I still can't believe that its you I'm talking to."

Nya was at first skeptical at his proposition, but once she was informed about his holoform, she was quite fascinated. She was especially impressed with how real his fake hair felt. If he was still on good terms with Soundwave, Starscream might have thanked the spy for forcing him to get one.

"Well, enjoy it while it lasts, I won't be using it after this excursion," Starsceam said.

"Really? Well, I guess that it might be weird for you to be this small," she said, pulling at some metal carts on wheels.

"That among other things," He grumbled.

"You know, you've only just got here. Maybe give it a few more moments, you might fine that being a fleshy, even a fake one, isn't as bad as you think. Heck, you might even find you enjoy it."

"I highly doubt that I would find being in this hideous form enjoyable."

"Oh, quit whining. Besides you don't look that bad, in fact I could name ten girls who would as you out," Nya said as she waltzed into the chaos ahead of them.

Starscream resisted rolling his Holoform's eyes, as he moved to join the human pilot into the chaos. His mind drifted to her previous comment; could she really name ten humans who would want to court him in this form? He didn't know the first thing that humans found attractive in one another. His holoform, was of what could be called a lean build, with dark brown optics, and light silvery hair. Soundwave had even placed a human pilot jacket, like the one Nya constantly wore, on his holoform; Knockout had found this detail hilarious. If this was what humans found attractive, he wasn't seeing it.

"What are those?" Starscream asked, as Nya grabbed, some kind of oddly shaped box from a refrigerated storge.

"Eggs," Nya answered.

Starscream's holoform's brow rose, "Eggs? As in where organic sparklings come from?"

"Calm down, Screamer, these are chicken eggs. And humans don't hatch from things like these."

"Then how do you know those don't have chicken sparklings in them?"

"Because these weren't fertilized."

"What?"

"When farmers produce eggs, they make two types of eggs, ones that are fertilized and ones that aren't. The fertilized eggs become more chickens and the non-fertilized are sent to the store. The Farmers are very careful to not get the two mixed up," she placed the eggs in the cart.

"How to do they tell them apart?"

"If you hold an egg to a light source you can see through the shell, meaning you can check for a chick."

Starscream looked at the eggs with a curious, and slightly mischievous face.

"Don't get any ideas," Nya said, "Eggs are also very delicate and I don't want the employees here to have to clean up a mess you made."

Starscream grumbled, disappointed.

Nya chuckled, "Look I got to go grab something, from produce section that I forgot. Just stay with the cart okay."

"Alright," He leaned against the cart.

The shopping was a bit more pleasant than he thought. Starscream had found himself asking all types of questions about the types of fuel that humans could consume. It was quite fascinating to learn about the wide variety that humans had compared to cybertronians. He was quite confused about how; one would choose which to consume. Nya's answer was that each food a had its own flavor, and that most people had their likes and dislikes. A human's sense of taste must have been much more sensitive than a cybertronian's, how else could they tell each of these hundreds of fuel sources apart.

Nya, as Starscream learned judging by her selections, seemed to gravitate towards most of food classified as 'fruits'. Of course, she did make picks from the classification known as vegetables. Though, she hardly grabbed any of the animal flesh that was for sale, much to his relief.

"Excuse me, young man?" An unknown voice spoke from behind him.

Starscream turned around to fine the strangest looking human he'd ever seen. Judging by the voice it was a female; though it also sounded like her voice box, or whatever humans had, was wearing out. Her flesh was pale and covered in wrinkles, while her hair was curly and white. Could this be a stage of life that he hadn't seen yet?

"Yes?" He asked.

"Do you think you could help me for a second. Ralph, over there," she gestured to an equally wrinkly human behind her, but this one was a male.

"Don't bother him, Lillian!" The male, Ralph shouted.

"Oh, Hush! I'm trying to stop you from getting yourself hurt!" the female, Lillian, shouted back at him, before turn back to Starscream, "I'm sorry about him, he won't admit that he's not as young as he thinks he is, and still believes he can reach for things on the top shelves."

"It's fine…" Starscream said completely confused.

"Well, could you please help us? We just need someone with a younger arm to reach up and grab the pasta," Lillian said.

"Uhm, Alright," Starscream said.

"Thank you, sonny," Lillian said.

Starscream cautiously and confusedly walked up the shelf that Ralph was pouting under, and grabbed one of the boxes.

"This one?" he asked, handing it to Lillian.

"Yes, thank you dearie," Lillian said, taking the box.

"I could have gotten it," Ralph said.

"Sure, you could have dear," Lillian said.

Starscream was about to walk away, when Ralph spoke up again, this time to him, "Hey son? Do you work in military?"

"Uhm, you could say that, yes," Starscream said. He wasn't entirely lying.

"Ah, a veteran, no wonder you helped us," Lillian said.

"I'll say, what are you, Navy, Army?" Ralph asked.

Scrap! He'd didn't know what those last words meant. What was the section of the military that Nya worked for? "Air force," he eventually said.

"Ah, a pilot," Ralph said.

"It was pretty obvious by his jacket Ralph. That was probably where he met his wife, she was wearing one too," Lillian said.

"I'm sorry my what?" Starscream asked.

"Your wife, the young lass you were here with," Ralph said, "You did well, she's a beauty."

"And quite lucky to have someone as helpful as him," Lillian said.

Footsteps coming form behind him, drew Starscream's attention.

"Hey, Star, I got what I needed, we can…" Nya trailed off as she came towards him, "Is everything alright?"

"Uhm…" Starscream didn't really know how to answer.

"It's fine, honey, he was just helping us grab something," Lillian said.

"Oh, really?" Nya looked at Starscream the surprise evident on her face.

"What?" Starscream asked.

"Nothing, I just didn't expect you to be helping people while I was gone," Nya said.

"Oh, don't worry about him Lassie, he wasn't causing any trouble," Ralph said.

"I'm glad to hear that," Nya said.

"Don't worry dear, you picked a good one," Lillian said.

Nya raised a brow.

"So, you're a pilot Lassie?" Ralph said.

Nya smiled, "Yes, I am. What gave me away? The jacket?"

"Yes, and I'm guessing that the scar on your face was from a mission," Ralph said.

"It definitely wasn't friend who gave her that," Starscream mumbled, while recalling the events with their first mission, to the base in India and how Nya was nearly crushed to death by Megatron, in his mind.

"Something like that, sir, yes," Nya said, before turning to Starscream, "Hey, I got what I need, you ready to get back to base."

Starscream nodded quickly, "Yes."

Nya turned back the Ralph and Lillian, "It was nice talking to you but we need go. Sorry."

"Oh, don't apologize," Lillian said.

"Yes, don't let us keep you from protecting the country," Ralph said, "Have a good day!"

"You to," Nya called back.

The humans shared a chuckle, before Nya pulled Starscream away. He was thankful for the relief that hit him as they walked away.

"What was that about?" Nya asked.

"Well, after you left, the femme came up to me and asked for my assistance," Starscream explained.

"Well, I'm glad you decided to help them. So, many people disrespect the elderly."

"Elderly? Is that what happens to humans as the age?"

"Yep, our bodies aren't made to last forever, Starscream."

Starscream pondered this information as they walked towards the checkout. It was hard to imagen that Nya would one day be like those other humans, and he wasn't sure what he thought about that knowledge. But then another thought popped into his mind.

"Nya?"

"Yeah?"

"What is a wife?"

A/N:

Okay so I was originally going to post five of these, but I ran out of time.

I will be keeping this as an unfinished story so that I can keep posting on here.

And yes, I will take suggestions for oneshots!
