A/N: Sorry for the delay on this one. I'm still not sure where I am headed with it. I don't own any of the characters except my own.
The weekend was over. Elliot had gone back to New York to work on the next part of his plan but not before he and Sam had slept together. Erin and Hank had taken a paternity test and were still waiting for the results. If it proved that Hank was in fact her father, it would not change how the two of them felt about each other. Erin was more determined than ever to protect Hank and Olivia.
As soon as Sam found out that Hank had put his papers in, she called him into her office. Little did she know was that the FBI knew about it and so did Hank's squad. Hank arrived and went in.
"What's goin' on?"
"Have a seat."
"What's this I hear you put your papers in to retire?"
"I need to be where my family is."
"What made you think this marriage was going to last?"
"When two people love each other the way Olivia and I do, you figure out how to make it work. It's time for me to move on."
"Well, I am not accepting your resignation. There is no one that can solve Intelligence's cases the way you do."
"Halstead is perfectly capable of doing it and unlike me, he does things the right way."
"Hank, do you find me attractive?"
Hank didn't want to answer that. He all of a sudden got a call from Jay staying they had a case.
"I need to go."
Hank hurried out of Sam's office and met the squad. Olivia had been at the District and this ended up being a sexual assault case related to a case she had had recently, so it was a good thing she was there. Olivia was the first person Hank saw when he arrived where everyone else was.
"How'd it go?"
"She told me she couldn't accept my resignation because no one can solve cases the way I do. I told her Halstead is quite capable of doing it. Then she asked me if I found her attractive. That was just before I got the call from Halstead."
"So, you never answered her?"
"Nope."
"How would you have answered her?"
"She's pretty but she's not you. I only have eyes for one woman and that's of course you. She did ask me how I thought our marriage was going to last. I told her that when two people love each other like we do, you find a way to make it work, which we have. My heart belongs to you and only you. It always will."
Olivia gave Hank a quick kiss and then they looked for their suspect. During their search, they had all gotten into the sewer and by the time they had found who they were looking for, the suspect was dead by a self-inflicted gunshot. They all stunk, so once they returned, they needed to use the showers before they headed home. Hank had let the rest of the squad go first and then he went in. Olivia had joined him, since she hadn't showered yet either. She even kept extra clothes in Hank's locker for times like this. While they were in the shower together, they had started kissing and were making love. Sam had arrived and was looking for Hank. She went upstairs.
"Where's Sergeant Voight?"
"He's in the locker room changing."
Sam headed towards the locker room and went in. She heard the shower running and headed over there. She then heard Olivia. They finished what they were doing, shut the shower off and got their towels. By the time they got out, Sam was right there.
"That is completely inappropriate to have a male officer and a female officer from another department having sex in the shower."
"Isn't it inappropriate for you to be asking my husband if he finds you attractive?"
"That's not the point."
"Isn't it? That's sexual harassment. As a cop, you should know better."
"Stay out of this, Captain. This doesn't concern you."
"Oh, no? He's my husband."
"Sergeant, the only way I will accept your resignation would be if you sleep with me and get me pregnant."
"Why would I do that? I take my marriage vows seriously. And, I couldn't get Olivia pregnant even if I wanted to if she was still in her child bearing years."
"I don't know why you would want to. Either you do as I say or I have you arrested for the murder of Barbara Fletcher."
"News flash, I wasn't even in Chicago when Bunny was murdered."
"There is proof that says you were."
"I was in New York at the time. My squad can vouch for that and so can Olivia's."
"Why couldn't you get me pregnant?"
"If you must know it's because I had a vasectomy when my first wife was so sick."
"You can have it reversed."
"Why the hell would I do that?"
Hank's squad and Trudy had been listening into the conversation upstairs and Erin and Jason were there as well. They had all heard Sam tell Hank he would be arrested for Bunny's murder if he didn't do what she wanted. Other members of the Chicago Police Department, including Internal Affairs had heard what she said as well. Erin had gone to Internal Affairs and said the FBI was suspicious of Deputy Superintendent Miller and besides having her office bugged, they had Hank's office bugged and other areas in the 21st District, including the locker room. The FBI had set up within Internal Affairs to listen in to Miller's conversations but Erin and Jason had set up in the kitchen area in Intelligence as well. They could get her on blackmail or sexual harassment but they still needed to get a confession on who had actually killed Bunny. As soon as the lab delivered the results of the paternity test, Jay had taken it into the locker room.
"Sarge, sorry to interrupt."
"No problem, Halstead."
"This arrived for you from the lab."
"Thanks."
"What the hell is that?"
"Paternity test."
Hank opened it and saw that he was in fact Erin's father.
"Paternity test for who?"
"Me."
"I thought you allegedly couldn't father anymore children."
"I can't but that's now. This was from 30+ years ago."
"So, am I a stepmom?"
"You are."
"Honey, that's great!"
Sam grabbed the piece of paper out of Hank's hand and read it.
"You're Erin Lindsay's father?"
"I am. One of the last things Bunny said to both Erin and me before she died was that I was more than likely Erin's father. This just proves that but doesn't change how I feel about Erin. I admit there was a time when I would have loved to have killed Bunny Fletcher but she made peace with us before she died. She accepted Olivia as a mother figure in Erin's life."
"That's just too bad that Bunny even told you that. There is evidence that you were the one that killed her."
"Like I said, she and I made peace before she was murdered and I was with Olivia in New York when all that happened anyway."
"I can vouch for that, since I am the one that called him to tell him she had been found and so he could let Erin know."
Hank went over to his locker and go out his phone. He pulled up with email with his flight information for that weekend.
"Here's the email."
"This still doesn't prove anything. You could have done it before you left."
"The only reason you didn't want Intelligence investigating the case was because you wanted a sloppy investigation to put the blame on someone else."
"Your DNA was found at the scene."
"That's impossible. Olivia and I need to get dressed first, so at least let us have some privacy."
Sam left and then Jay headed out.
"Halstead."
"We will check the security footage here for that night, including the locker room and the Intelligence office."
"Thanks. Check the parking area footage as well as the footage around the bar."
"On it.
Jay went upstairs, while Hank and Olivia got dressed.
"There's no way in hell I did this."
"This happened to me once. Someone I arrested made it look like my DNA was at the crime scene to get back at me. Whatever happens, I got your back."
Olivia kissed Hank and then they went upstairs as well. Sam was in Hank's office, while the squad looked at the security camera footage from that night.
"Like I said, Hank, the only way you will avoid being arrested is to sleep with me."
"Like I said, that isn't happening. I take my marriage vows seriously and would never betray her."
"Then I guess you'll be spending time in prison for murder."
Then Jay came in.
"Sarge, you're going to want to see this."
Hank, Olivia and Jay went back out into the squad room and looked at the security footage on each of the computers. It showed Sam being at the District that night trying to get something with Hank's DNA to plant at the scene and they had found footage of her at the scene.
"Huh."
Erin and Jason came out of the kitchen along with other people from the FBI and Internal Affairs.
"Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller, you're under arrest for the murder of Barbara Fletcher, blackmail and sexual harassment."
Internal Affairs read her her rights and hauled her off to jail.
"I'm glad that part of it is over with."
"Me too. Now we just need to worry about Stabler."
Then Olivia's phone rang. It was Fin.
"Hey, Fin. What's going on?"
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Noah is missing."
"What the hell do you mean Noah is missing?"
"Lucy went to pick him up and he never came outside. She called us and we are already looking into it. We went to the school and questioned them. They said they never saw anyone suspicious."
"Suspect #1 in my opinion is Elliot Stabler."
"I'm sure he is."
"Hank's boss was just arrested for murdering Erin's mom, blackmailing and sexually harassing Hank."
"They're working together?"
"Supposedly. Neither one is very smart. The FBI is already watching Elliot's every move."
Erin had gone back to see if she could find a location on Elliot.
"His phone is off."
"Erin said Elliot's phone is off. Fin, you need to find Noah."
"We will."
"I'll get everyone here and head to New York."
"Got it."
"Keep me posted and make sure you contact Sergeant Bell."
"I will."
Olivia hung up the phone and Hank and everyone else, including Trudy were already making arrangements to fly to New York. The all headed to their respective homes to get their stuff and headed to the airport. Trudy told Mouch what was going on and he contacted everyone from 51. They all made arrangements to help look for Noah as well. Intelligence brought all their gear in case they needed it. Everyone arrived at the airport and Erin introduced Jason to everyone at 51 who he hadn't met yet, which was everyone except Matt and Kelly. They all waited for the flight to board.
In the meantime, Erin had contacted her Boss in New York and told him what was going on. He said they would help out in any way they could. She told him who was their #1 suspect was and that's who she and Jason had been investigating. They would be working with the Special Victims Unit and the contact person was Sergeant Odafin Tutuola. The missing child was her brother, so she technically had to recuse herself from the case but Jason knew what was going on. She hung up and then they boarded the flight. A little while later it took off.
Meanwhile in New York, Fin headed over to Organized Crime and left Amanda at SVU. He also sent Patrol to Elliot's apartment and made sure to have someone check the all the airports, train stations, bus stations, subway stations and traffic cams throughout the entire city. He had also called Phoebe to help out. He went up to Organized Crime.
"Sergeant."
"Sergeant Tutuola, what can I do for you?"
"Where's Stabler?"
"I have no idea. He said he needed to take a few personal days."
"Well, Liv's son is missing and Stabler has been harassing her lately. He's our #1 suspect."
"To be honest, he has not been in the right frame of mind for a while."
"If you ask me, he's never been in the right frame of mind. If you know where he is, you need to tell us."
"I have no idea."
"He has his phone off, so we can't track him."
"Do you need help?"
"Yeah. We could use all the help we can get."
"Where's Captain Benson?"
"She's been in Chicago, so she's bringing the Intelligence Unit back with her. Her husband heads it."
"Have you contacted the FBI?"
"They already know. Liv knows one of the Agents pretty well.
Sergeant Bell got the rest of the unit and they went with Fin back to SVU. By the time they arrived, Amanda said Stabler had called from a burner to say that if they wanted Noah, then Liv knows what she has to do. Fin contacted Kathleen to see if she knew where her dad was and told her what was going on. She said no but she and Dickie would come to the Precinct.
"I just talked to his daughter Kathleen. She and her brother are on their way."
Then Carisi came in.
"Rollins, I just got your message. What's goin' on?"
"Stabler took Noah. He called from a burner and said if we want Noah, Liv knows what she has to do. He wants her to leave Voight and be with him."
"There is no way in hell that's gonna happen."
"Nope."
The FBI arrived and Erin's Boss told them everything Erin had told him.
"Do you think Liv knows about this?"
"If Lindsay knows, I'm sure she does. She said Stabler and Voight's Boss were workin' together to keep them apart. Liv said they already arrested Miller for blackmail, sexually harassing Voight and for murdering Lindsay's mother."
"Who was she blackmailing?"
"Voight. She said there was evidence that he had killed Lindsay's mother and the only way he'd beat the charges was if he slept with her and got her pregnant."
"He loves Liv too much for that. Besides, when she was killed, he was here with Liv and Noah."
"Exactly."
"So, you're telling me that Detective Stabler is behind his own wife's death?"
"Yes, Ma'am. We have the proof right here."
Sergeant Bell looked at the report from the FBI and could not believe what she was reading.
Fin's desk phone rang, so he put it on speaker. Someone with the FBI started running a trace on the call.
"SVU. Sergeant Tutuola."
"Uncle Fin, it's me, Noah."
"Hey, little man. Where are you?"
"I don't know. I'm in a room somewhere. I don't think I have much time until he comes back. I'm scared."
"Has he hurt you?"
"He threatened to kill me and my dad."
"Is Elliot Stabler the guy that has you?"
"Yes. I just want my mom and dad."
"They're on their way from Chicago right now."
"Please hurry, Uncle Fin."
"We'll get to you as soon as we can. I promise."
Fin kept him on the line as long as he could and they were able to get a location of where he was calling from. Then Noah hung up because he heard someone coming. Noah had quickly put his phone back in his pocket. He hoped someone would rescue him soon.
"We got a location. It appears that he's at the abandoned granary."
Then Kathleen and Dickie came in.
"Fin."
"Hey. I think we need to talk."
"Ok."
Fin took them into Olivia's office, so he could tell him what they knew, while everyone else headed to the granary. Neither one knew what to say when they found out that Elliot was responsible for killing their mother.
"Unbelievable."
"Yeah, really. Thanks for telling us."
"No problem."
"Do you know where Olivia's son is?"
"Noah just called and the location we got was the abandoned granary. We're heading there now."
"Do what you have to do."
Fin left and Carisi stayed with Dickie and Kathleen. He got them some coffee.
"Thank you."
"No problem."
Everyone arrived at the abandoned granary. Amanda was glad Olivia wasn't there as that was the same place she had been held by William Lewis and she knew Olivia would have a hard time with being there. They went up to the room and Elliot was holding a gun to Noah's head.
"Where's Liv?"
"She's not here yet."
"I will only deal with her."
"Let him go!"
"Not until Liv gets here."
Fin got there and went up. He was pissed.
"Put the damn gun down, Stabler! Now!"
"Not until I see Liv."
"Well, she ain't here, dumb ass!"
"I need her here, Fin. I love her."
"She don't love you."
"Yes, she does. I just need to show her how much."
"She's happy. Why can't you accept that?"
"Because I know she's not. I would do anything for her. I proved that by making sure Kathy was out of the way, so we would be free to be together. After I get this brat and her alleged husband out of the way, we'll be able to spend the rest of our lives together."
"What makes you think she'd want you?"
"I can see it in her eyes that she loves me and always has."
"You're full of shit and you always have been. Liv wouldn't want you if you were the only man on earth."
Elliot put the gun down and Noah started kicking him. He got away from him and ran to Amanda, who wrapped her arms around him. Then Elliot was put in handcuffs and took him to the Precinct where Dickie and Kathleen were.
"Oh, good. My children are here."
"Cut the crap, Dad! We know you killed Mom."
"I did it for Olivia."
"She'll never love you. You belong in prison. Why is everything always about you? I hate you!"
Kathleen broke down and Dickie had to try to calm her down. They put Elliot in the Interrogation Room just as Olivia came in with everyone from Chicago.
"Mom, Dad!"
Noah ran into Olivia and Hank's arms.
"Oh, Sweetie, I am so glad you're ok."
"Me too, kiddo."
"Where was he?"
"The abandoned granary."
"Oh. I'm glad I didn't have to go there."
"I'm sure you are. Stabler is in the Interrogation Room."
Olivia went into the Interrogation Room and Hank was right behind her. The FBI agents that were in with him left. Hank stood at the door with his arms folded, while Olivia went over to the table.
"Liv!"
"Shut up!"
"I love you!"
"I said shut the hell up! How dare you!"
"I did it for you."
"I didn't ask you to. The only thing I asked you to do was stay the hell out of my life. I told you numerous times that I didn't love you and I was happy. You had her killed and then you were playing the grieving husband to get sympathy from me."
"I did what I had to do. You deserve better."
"Then that isn't you."
"Of course it is. I want you to look me in the eye and tell me that you have never fantasized about what it would be like to be with me sexually."
Olivia looked him straight in the eye.
"I have never once fantasized about what it would be like to be with you sexually. Why would I? I'd have to be desperate, which I am definitely not. I always respected that you were married and had a family."
"You had to have been desperate when you were with Tucker."
"He turned out to be a better man than you too."
"I doubt that. I don't want this ass to hurt you."
"I know what he's capable of but he's not like that when he's with me or Noah. He respects me. He's not the ass. You are. You only care about yourself. You always have. You don't think you're hurting me by doing what you did?"
"No actually, I don't.
Elliot glared at Hank.
"I should have killed you when I had the chance. You took the woman I love from me."
"Who ceased all contact with her for a decade? You never had her in the first place. She's a big girl and capable of making her own decisions. How many times does she need to tell you she doesn't love you?"
"Obviously she doesn't know how to make good decisions if she chose you over me."
"Don't flatter yourself, Elliot. You always had anger issues but ever since you've been back with the NYPD, you've been angrier than you've ever been."
"Kathy wrote the letter but the last part about it always being you and me, I put that in. It should always be you and me. We were meant to be together."
"Go to hell!"
Elliot stood up and kissed Olivia. She slapped him across the face and looked at Hank. He came over and punched Elliot in the stomach.
"Don't ever kiss my wife again! Do you understand me?"
"Screw you!"
Hank shoved him down into the chair and then decided to flip the chair he was in.
"Oops! How clumsy of me! Stay the hell away from my family! Do I make myself perfectly clear? Captain Benson, I didn't mean to disrespect you. I apologize for my behavior."
"No apology necessary, Sergeant."
Hank opened the door for Olivia and she kissed him as she walked out, which pissed Elliot off even more.
"You wanna arrest me?"
"Nope. I knew you weren't going to take any crap from him."
"Liv, are you two tryin' to blow this case?"
"He confessed to killing Kathy and he kidnapped my son. He didn't get anything he didn't deserve."
"Olivia, we are so sorry about all this."
"This isn't your fault by any means. He had her killed and was looking for sympathy from me by pretending to be the grieving husband."
"We wish we had known that he had had such a sick obsession with you. We don't even care what happens to him now. He deserves whatever he has coming to him."
"How'd you find Noah?"
"He called from his phone and we found out where he was."
"Good."
Olivia took Hank into her office where Noah was and down on the sofa. She broke down as she held their son and Hank held her. Hank, Olivia, Noah, Erin and everyone else from Chicago left and headed to Olivia's, while Fin, Amanda and the others from the FBI did the interrogation. Dickie and Kathleen went home and contacted their sisters to tell them what had happened. On the way home, Olivia called Lucy to tell her everything was ok and they had Noah. Once they got there, everyone went up to her apartment.
"Thank you for all the support."
"No problem. When we saw him kiss you, none of us expected Voight to let him get away with that."
"I knew Hank wasn't going to let that go."
"Was he always like this?"
"No. I mean, he was always full of himself and he has always had anger issues, especially when it came to dealing with pedophiles but like I told him in the Interrogation Room, he's angrier than ever."
"In other words, he's a lot like Voight."
"Yes and I did point that out to Hank the first time we met. Hank is at least trying to be a better person for Noah and me. I don't know how long Elliot thought he was going to get away with blaming someone else for something he did."
"Fortunately, he'll be in jail for a while."
"I'm still scared that he will have someone tailing me and going after Hank or Noah."
"From what it sounds like, they are going to make sure he has very little contact with anyone while he's in prison."
"He threatened to kill me and Dad. I told Uncle Fin that."
"I am so proud of you for how you handled yourself."
"I am too, kiddo."
"Me too."
"Yeah, us too."
"Jay, just promise me you won't ever do to me what Stabler did to Liv."
"I won't. We've already been that route and we've remained friends. You deserve to be happy."
"Thanks. So do you."
"Are you and that Jason guy seeing each other?"
"He wants to but I told him that in order for that to happen, we can't be partners. I've already been there and done that. Upton, you better be good to him or I'll kick your ass."
"I don't doubt that."
"Same goes for you, Stella."
"I have no intentions of ever hurting him. He knows that."
"I do."
"I'm glad to see you finally settling down with someone."
"I think losing my dad played a big part in that. I still don't have the best relationship with my mom and she basically said she doesn't think the marriage will last, since I am a Severide."
"Then you need to prove her wrong."
"I intend to."
"Cruz, I hear you're becoming a dad."
"I am. We're having a boy."
"Congratulations!"
"Thanks. I'm starting to get a little nervous about it, especially since Station 51 doesn't have the best track record with it comes to births."
Both Boden and Herrmann started laughing.
"That's true."
"Donna wouldn't have had it any other way. Our 51 family got to be a big part of Terrance's birth."
"I just wish Otis could have been here for all this, you know."
"We all do, Cruz. I wish Shay was still here too but they're both always with us."
"Does anyone hear from the Dawsons?"
"I still sometimes hear from Gabby but haven't lately."
"I talked to Antonio not too long ago."
"How's he doin'?"
"Pretty good."
"Does anyone hear from Mills?"
"I talked to him just before Chloe and I got married. He called to wish me the best on my upcoming wedding and he said he had heard about Otis. I already knew he wasn't coming. I haven't heard from him since though."
"Can I get anyone anything?"
"Why don't we go out and grab dinner somewhere?"
"We could always order Chinese or pizza too."
"That works too."
Everyone decided what they wanted and then they ordered it. Olivia found out what everyone wanted to drink and then they sat around and talked. Noah had gone into his room and did his homework until the food arrived. Before the food arrived, Fin, Phoebe, Amanda, Carisi, the girls and Jason arrived.
"So, he's been booked."
"Good."
"He wants to file charges against you and Voight."
"So, let him."
"We ordered pizza for dinner."
"Sounds like a plan."
Then Fin got a call, so he answered it. Once he was done, he hung up.
"What was that all about?"
"Apparently it isn't a good idea to keep a cop in the Tombs with criminals he's had locked up."
"Did they kill him?"
"They did."
"Will you call the family?"
"I will."
Fin went to make a call to Kathleen to tell her what had happened and then he also called Sergeant Bell to tell her. The food arrived, so everyone ate and enjoyed each other's company. After a while, everyone got ready to leave. Hank said he was going to stay with Olivia and Noah for a few days. Jay said he would let them know how Sam's arraignment went. Everyone left and headed home or to their hotel. Olivia went to make sure Noah was settled for the night and stayed with him until he was asleep, while Hank cleaned up. Once Noah was asleep, Olivia joined Hank in the bedroom.
"You ok, Babe?"
"I think I am. I'm actually relieved he's dead because now he can't bother us anymore. Thank you for being so supportive of me through all this."
"No problem and thanks for being so supportive of me too."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
They started kissing and then they made love before they fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, Olivia thought it would be ok if Noah wanted to stay home but she let him make the decision. He decided that was what he wanted, so she called in for him. Everyone else was heading back to Chicago.
