Iron Man: I'm Iron Man! But you already knew that. During one of my usual arguments with Steve, strange fumes were unleashed from within Avengers Tower, sickening everyone in the city save for me. Dell Rusk pinned the blame on us and sent a team of registered mind-controlled heroes to arrest us, but thanks to the timely arrival of Cia's team, we beat them back and got an antidote developed in time to cure everyone. Except for Captain America who just disappeared. Where could he have gone in his condition?

Act 1 Finale: The True Threat

Unknown Location

Stored deep inside a mysterious facility that's stationed far away from civilization is an ancient, cylindrical-like container compressing and storing the ultimate power of destruction within. This container happens to be the same vessel that was once used to seal away Solaris eons ago by the Chronoans, and recently used to seal away Iblis by the Avengers. Yes. This is the Sol Vessel. And to prevent anyone from stealing it and unleashing the Flames of Disaster back onto the world, it is locked within a containment field that is regularly guarded by the most powerful security system Tony Stark could create. No one is getting near the Vessel, much less know where to find it.

Except, it has been found. Someone that is both powerful and intelligent managed to locate the facility, infiltrate it, and easily shut down the security system before it could alert the Avengers. Disabling security or not might've not made much of a difference, since the Avengers are too busy dealing with the viral outbreak at New Vale City at the moment.

The last thing to do is shut down the containment field containing the Sol Vessel, in which the mysterious infiltrator did with no trouble. The last piece of security between them and the Sol Vessel is at last disabled, allowing the intruder to walk up to the container and take it from its stand. They then smile, ominously, triggering the signal that marks the beginning of the end.

Washington D.C., Triskelion

BGM-Mega Man ZX Tunes OST-Phalanx

Councilman Dell Rusk looms over a Captain America that is still infected by the Dust of Death that he unleashed onto the people of New Vale City. Cap is too weak to do anything, say anything, only capable of lying on the floor of the office with dying groans like the pathetic man Rusk sees him as with smiling pleasure. The Senator turns his face to Stryfe, the mutant who was successful in kidnapping the Living Legend and bringing him here for some personal punishment, "Stryfe. You've done much better than the rest of Code Red."

"Thanks." Stryfe replied.

Rusk crouches before the sicken solider, taunting him words such as, "You poor, misguided, outdated soul." As Steve finds the strength to look at his enemy, the villainous senator continues, "You have NO idea what this country needs from its heroes, do you? Don't you realize? This…was ALL for your benefit." He stands back up, reeling up his foot to scare Rogers before repeatedly stomping on his face, while Stryfe takes pleasure watching the torture scene knowing there is no one coming to save him.

New Vale City, Manhattan

BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-Diablon

Most of the heroes in the city have no idea of Cap's capture or Rusk's involvement in the viral outbreak. Those like Modern Sonic was too busy being blasted back by GUN's ultimate robot, Diablon, as the hedgehog is swiftly joined by his Classic and Boom counterparts. Side-by-side, the Sonic Trio stand up with serious scowls while confronting the mech and the woman controlling it, the mysterious Terminatrix.

"I must thank GUN for lending me usage of their ultimate weapon as my knight! Now Diablon, I command you to use whatever force to crush these insolent fools!" Terminatrix ordered.

The large red mecha activates the laser cannon secured on its forehead to fire a powerful beam at the hedgehog trio. All three dodged with their superspeed, with Boom Sonic attempting to counter with a Spin Attack. Unfortunately, it was brutally repelled the moment Diablon activated its barrier. "AGH! Been a while since I fought a robot that's actually challenging." Boom Sonic commented.

Cable tries blasting the mech with his energy rifle, only to quickly notice its barrier deflecting his shots. "That weapon has an electromagnetic barrier that deflects firearm attacks." He noted, before rolling away from the robot's lasers, "We need to disable it, then aim for the head while it's down!"

Grinning with an idea, Classic Sonic quips, "Got it covered! HEY, DEVIL BOT!" He shouted, gaining the robot's attention. The kid hedgehog turns and spanks his butt in a mocking way, taunting him with, "Bet you can't hit this!"

Seemingly infuriated by his taunting, Diablon drops its shield so it may fire an assault on the dodgy hedgehog. "Shield's down and I have his attention! Get him, non-scarf big me!" Classic Sonic shouted.

The grinning Modern Sonic takes advantage of this opening to strike the distracted Terminatrix with a Homing Attack so he may bounce off her to reach and attack Diablon, barraging its head with a flurry of Spin Attacks that are powerful enough to disable its jet boosters and drop to the ground.

"You disabled its jet boosters! Now it'll be easier to shoot its head!" says Hawkeye, targeting the weakened robot with his bow. Before he could launch an arrow that would add to the damage, he is suddenly blasted away by a recovered and annoyed Terminatrix.

"Not bad, 'heroes'! But now, playtime's over!" Terminatrix proclaims that she's getting serious in this fight. And she does, right after surviving sword swings from a charging Valkyrie, she taps into time energy imbued into her armor that envelops her with a green aura that allows her to manipulate time. With this speed boost, Terminatrix seamlessly dodges Valkyrie's sword strikes before taking to the skies and blasting her away. She easily avoids Modern Knuckles's flying punch before rewinding time on Hawkeye's explosive arrows that were fired at her, effectively reflecting them to the surprised archer.

The wounded Avenger grunts in pain before yelling for, "Can SOMEBODY slow her down?"

"With pleasure!" says Ozma, stepping up to confront Terminatrix alongside Young Salem. The armored warrior points his staff at his enemy, imbuing it with magical time energy to incant a spell he learned from Cia. "Slowga!" Ozma shouts, slowing the passage of time on Terminatrix's Time Aura, effectively removing it and returning her to normal speed.

"What?!" Terminatrix expressed her shock of her time powers weakening.

While she's distracted, Salem charges magic into both of her hands, then holds one arm back before shouting, "Sacred Light Barrage!", and launching two large energy spheres at Terminatrix, causing a large explosion that knocks her out of the sky.

That powerful attack did good damage to Terminatrix's armor as she's not sure if she can keep this up. While thinking of a new strategy to turn the tides back to her favor, her gaze caught the attention of a nearby Ozpin that is still left defenseless and weak from Death Dust, giving her that devious strategy.

Both Ozma and Salem watch as Terminatrix fires a powerful energy blast at the dying headmaster much to their mutual horror, since Ozpin is Ozma's future incarnation. "NO!" Salem screams as she rushes to save Ozpin.

"SALEM, WAIT!" Ozma reaches out for her, deducing that Terminatrix's intention was to lure her to a trap so she can rid both her and Ozpin at the same time.

The strategy near works, with Salem hugging Ozpin as she braces for the inevitable impact. But right before they could be blasted to smithereens, Salem's purple Hero Chao comes to their rescue with a magical barrier protecting them all.

Terminatrix was left stunned by her attack failing to kill them because of the Chao, as she retorts, "Are you kidding me?! My attack was stopped by a…By a…What is that adorable creature?" She genuinely asked, having never met Chao before.

Salem chuckles in joy while embracing her Chao, "Good job, Punzel! I knew it was a good idea to bring you here! Your magic is growing every day!"

"Chao chao chao!" said Punzel, the Hero Chao that knows magic thanks to its mother.

"You…saved me…?" Ozpin said, left confused that the past version of his greatest nemesis came to his rescue.

Salem smiles warmly at the old man, "Of course. I'm an Avenger. I'm unlike my future counterpart that has caused you so much pain over the centuries. I know I'm not her, and hopefully I never become her, but I AM so sorry for everything."

"It's…alright…I'm sorry too…for all your suffering…" Ozpin apologizes to her.

"Enough apologizes, lovebirds, we have a giant robot that needs destroying!" Boom Sonic rudely retorts, still facing off with Diablon alongside his counterparts.

Right after smacking away both Classic and Modern Sonic, Diablon robotically announces, "Commence energy charge for Antimatter Cannon!"

"We'll all be reduce to nothing if we let it charge up!" says Cable, relentlessly shooting Diablon to force it to shut down its shields and focus its attacks on him. "Sonics, finish it off while we get its attention!"

BGM-Sonic X OST-Sonic's Solution

Modern. Classic. Boom. All three Sonics jump to their own rooftops that surround Diablon while it fiercely fights off the opposing heroes with various assaults. If it charges up its Antimatter Cannon, it's all over, so it needs to be destroyed fast. Luckily, fast is what Sonic is all about, and Modern has something that'll really finish it off quickly. He pulls out three Power Rings from his quills and says to his counterparts, "Let's make this quick! After I toss the Rings, home onto them!"

"Right!" Both Classic and Boom responded with determination.

Modern Sonic throws out the Rings towards Diablon's exposed head before all three hedgehogs curl into spinballs and home in towards their own. "Take this! TRIPLE SONIC DRIVE!" shouts Modern Sonic, as the second the hedgehogs grab their Ring they each receive a tremendous power boost. All at once, the empowered Sonics pierce Diablon's head with Spin Dashes from different directions. Diablon explodes with enough powerful force to blow away Terminatrix, right before the Sonics land in front of their friends.

"That was SWEET!" Modern Sonic smiled, standing between his Classic and Boom selves as they each celebrate with their own victory pose.

With Diablon finally destroyed, the heroes turn their attention back to Terminatrix. She is defeated, struggling to stand with battered armor that's in urgent need of repairs because it keeps materializing and dematerializing to reveal her true appearance: A black-skinned woman that looks to be a princess from the future and is very annoyed from being beaten by the heroic peasants of this era.

Cable snarls, recognizing Terminatrix for who she truly is, as, "Ravonna Renslayer! It makes sense now. You took the identity of Terminatrix and disguised yourself as a GUN Commander, using them and the virus to weaken the city in time for the invasion."

"Invasion?" The confused Modern Sonic questioned, having no idea what's about to happen.

"And I accomplished all that before you Chrono Avengers interfered. Now he's coming. And there's nothing any of you could do at this stage to prevent his arrival. Until we meet again." said Ravonna, teleporting to parts unknown before she could be captured.

"Seriously, what the heck is going on? Is the Syndicate behind all this?" Hawkeye asked.

"Yes, by someone FAR worse than Red Skull." Cable answered.

"Mind telling me why the heck they're three Sonics?" asked Knuckles, with arms crossed while staring in annoyance at the three blue hedgehogs.

"We'll explain ourselves later…" said Ozma, holding up the now-unconscious Ozpin by his shoulder before continuing, "First, we need to get Ozpin treatment fast! His sickness is growing worse!"

"Help should arrive soon. Got a call from Beast earlier that he and Iron Man finished the antidote. Let's grab some to cure Manhattan, then we go stop the Syndicate!" Hawkeye declared.

Towards Washington D.C.

BGM-Iron Man 3 (Game) OST-Gameplay A

"JARVIS. I'm about 300 miles out from Washington D.C. tracking Cap via his Avengers ID card. What's the status back in the city?" asked Iron Man, flying at top speed to save Captain America from Rusk.

JARVIS responds, 'The afflicted Avengers are all responding to the antidote. Any affected civilians are also being treated. The only one left who hasn't been given the antidote is Captain America.'

"Not for long. I'll get to him-." But suddenly, Tony cuts himself off upon his sensors picking up three GUN fighter jets tailing him, no doubt ordered by Rusk to prevent him from reaching Cap.

'Attention, Iron Man. This is Colonel Tom Wayne, GUN Air Command. We have orders to ground you immediately!' said the GUN Colonel.

"Colonel, I respect that you have your orders and I have no intention of engaging you, but I also have no intention in letting my friend die. So if you'll excuse me…" Tony spins over the jet before speeding out of their sights, but it didn't take long for them to catch up along with a fourth fighter jet. That fourth jet flies in front of Tony while the other three hang in the back, effectively boxing the billionaire. "They got me boxed in! JARVIS, lock onto Cap's ID signal! Give me a targeting solution!" He ordered.

Using a satellite, JARVIS pinpoints Steve's exact position inside Rusk's office before saying, 'Target locked. But for more than 100 miles out, you can't possibly-.' only for Tony to shut him up by instantly braking in midair, tricking the jets to go on ahead as he prepares a wrist missile containing the antidote.

"Eat your heart out, Hawkeye!" Tony joked before firing the missile.

The cure missile flies through the sky, piercing clouds at extremely fast speeds thanks to its thrusters constantly giving it a boost towards Washington D.C. In invincible seconds, it arrives at the Triskelion and pierces through Rusk's office window. The world seems to be slowing down as the missile burst open to reveal the syringe with the cure. It would look like Tony's aim was on point and the syringe would've cured Steve, if Stryfe didn't expertly catch it in the last second with his bare hand.

Rusk laughs, gloating over the Avengers' final attempt to cure their sick Captain America, "How perfect. The LAST attempt at salvation. Gloriously thwarted by an adversary from an unknown age. I've waited SO long…"

But as the evil Senator walks up to finish Steve once and for all, the sick Avenger summons all of his remaining strength to spring up and grab the man by his face. "Show yourself! Coward!" says Cap, actually ripping off the Senator's face before being knocked down. But it was worth it. Because as Steve looks at the Senator's partially torn-off face, he shockingly recognizes that his face was not his face at all. It was a mask, to hide the ugly redness behind him and all of his schemes until now, because Dell Rusk is truly, "Red Skull!"

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Threat from Beyond

With his cover at last blown, Red Skull rips off the remains of his mask before confronting his century-old nemesis. "And so, we have come full circle. Captain America!" The Hydra Leader backhands his foe across the face, knocking him down. "I will CRUSH YOU, and EVERYTHING you hold dear, under my heel!" He declared, taking out a pistol from his suit and pointing it down at his arch-nemesis.

It would seem that this is the end of Captain America. Red Skull presses the trigger of his gun and fires a high-speed bullet towards his forehead. With Stryfe holding the antidote for his infection, Cap has no strength left to do anything but accept his coming end.

"CHAOS CONTROL!" But his end isn't happening today, as he was quickly teleported away by a certain hedgehog before the bullet touched him.

BGM-Captain America: Civil War OST-Bucky Escapes

"What?!" A shocked Red Skull exclaimed.

Another surprise arrives in the form of a dark portal opening in the office, summoning a black corvid that swiftly transforms into Raven Branwen unleashing a scary battle cry alongside a sword swing that is narrowly blocked by Stryfe, only for the mutant to be quickly kicked away by Sharon Carter jumping out of the portal next and taking the antidote from him while he's knocked out. Raven and Sharon stand together, turning to confront Red Skull right as Shadow the Hedgehog teleports between them alongside the rescued Captain America. "Your scheme is OVER, Red Skull!" Shadow declared to the fake politician.

"You?! But how!?" Red Skull retorts in utter shock that his scheme is being foiled by the Secret Avengers.

"You REALLY think we haven't been spying on you this whole time and learning your secrets? It was only a few hours ago when we deduced your real identity. 'Dell Rusk' was simply an anagram for 'Red Skull'. It's honestly embarrassing that it took any of us this long to figure you out." Shadow explained.

As Sharon uses the antidote on her super-soldier boyfriend, she taunts Skull with, "We already turned in your files to the big man himself. Red Skull! By the order of the PRESIDENT, you're under arrest for impersonating as a government official, causing a viral outbreak, and trying to control the entire superhero community!"

"Not to mention your recent crimes against time!" Raven added to add more fuel to Red Skull's scowling rage.

Suddenly, the Secret Avengers were blasted away by a recovered Stryfe. As Shadow and Raven rush him with various attacks that keep him at bay, Skull attempts to assassinate the still downed Agent 13. But he wouldn't get the chance, as his gun is knocked out of his hand by an annoying shield that he recognizes all too well. Because that shield is returning to the hand of a completely cured Captain America.

"Look at me, Skull! You and I still have a score to settle!" Cap declared.

As Cap charges at his nemesis, Skull slides away to pick up his gun and vainly shoots the solider while his shield is up protecting him. With a Hyper Charging Star, Cap tackles his foe out of the window as they fall to a backyard. Skull lays on the ground then notices his gun beside him. He reaches for it, only for his hand to be crushed under the hell of the Star-Spangled Man before he could grab it. Steve lifts up his foe and, with a single punch of justice, knocks him out cold.

Right after Skull's defeat, Iron Man arrives along with several news vans for this astonishing event. Cameramen rush out of their vans to broadcast this footage of Captain America and Iron Man standing side-by-side, near the unconscious Red Skull on live TV. People from all over the world, including the likes of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Freedom Fighters, Team JNPR, Happy Huntresses, and even the President of the United States look at this broadcast and smile, quickly deducing the solid fact that Red Skull was Dell Rusk all along, and has been responsible manipulating the country to fuel his own sinister purposes.

"Nice photo op." Tony quips to his soldier friend, getting the feeling that this news broadcast will help clear the name of the Avengers, as well as hopefully repeal that Superhuman Registration Act.

BGM-Mega Man X8 OST-VS Sigma (Demo)

All's well that ends well. It would be, if a mysterious force didn't teleport the unconscious Skull out of the scene, much to the Avengers' surprise. "Skull!" Cap exclaimed.

"He disappeared?! But how? He was unconscious!" Iron Man commented.

"Not just him!" said Shadow, jumping down from Skull's office alongside Sharon and Raven. "That fake Cable also disappeared."

"We need to find them! Skull needs to answer for what he's done to this country! Who knows what secrets he stole while disguised as Dell Rusk!" said Cap, unintentionally causing Tony to have a shocking epiphany.

"Oh no…" Tony muttered.

The concerned Steve turns to him, "Something wrong, Tony?"

Tony ignores him as he continues mumbling, "He tricked me…Played me as a fool to reveal its location. Was this all a distraction? To lead me away from there?" With no words to spare to his friends, Iron Man hurriedly takes to the skies and flies off.

"TONY!" Steve shouted, wondering why he just left.

"What's wrong with Stark? Looks like he's in a hurry." Raven noticed.

"Don't know. But…I get the bad feeling that the real war is about to begin." said Steve, getting the haunting feeling that this battle was the opening act to a far greater threat.

Meanwhile at New Vale City…

An ominous thunderstorm brews in the clouds above the city. Thanks to the Avengers and their allies, the entire city and its populace have been cured of the Death Dust and in the process of recovering. Blake Belladonna awakens on a rooftop, after being cured of her infection thanks to an Iron Drone before it flies away. "BLAKE! You're okay!" says an extremely happy Yang, hugging her best friend in relief after being constantly worried for her while she was sick.

"We were so worried you wouldn't make it." said Weiss, smiling in relief alongside Amazing Spidey, Ultimate Spidey, Spidey 2099, Agent Venom, Classic Knuckles, Sticks, and Elsa Schnee.

Blake groans with a small headache that she tends to while asking, "What happened…?"

"You and about half the city turned into dying Red Skulls. Which isn't surprising after just learning from the news he was Dell Rusk this whole time. Heh. The government spent this whole time trying to control all superheroes, when THEY have been in control of a super-VILLIAN." Peter quipped, informing the faunus of what she missed while she was out.

"I keep telling everyone the government needs regulation. How the heck does a psychopathic war criminal get elected as senator for the entire planet?" Sticks questioned before sighing, "I'll never understand politics."

BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-Prologue

"The important thing is that the city is saved and Skull will soon be behind bars along with his Regulation Law once we find him. Soon everything will return to normal." Agent Venom hoped.

"A lot LATER than you think." Suddenly, Cia chimes into the conversation right after warping herself, Thor, Classic Tails, and Boom Knuckles to the rooftop to meet with Spider-Man's group.

"Cia? You're here too?" A shocked Peter retorted, having not seen Cia since their adventure in hunting down the lost Sacred Treasures of Chronoa.

Cia frowns, "I wish we arrived much sooner, but it's too late now. He's coming!"

"Who's coming?" Spidey shruggingly asked.

But before Cia could answer, she is struck by horrified fear of something materializing behind Spider-Man. "Him!" She points him and his friends to a massive sword-shaped warship seamlessly appearing in the skies of the city.

"THAT'S…one BIG sword!" Peter quipped, as he never saw a warship designed like that before.

The mere intimidating sight of Damocles Base instantly struck the civilians with fear as they never seen anything like it. The Secret and Chrono Avengers on the streets below. The cured Avengers over at Avengers Tower. The invincible Iron Man flying towards the city, with Cap's group catching up via Quinjet. All these heroes, and more, stare at the hovering warship as each of them wonder who is invading their world this time, and why.

'HEAR ME, PEOPLE OF THIS ERA! I AM KANG! KANG THE CONQUEROR! YOU ARE NOW MY SUBJECTS!' Kang announces his appearance, worldwide so everyone knows that he has come to collect and conquer.

"Did he call himself Kang?" A shocked Thor remarked, having faced the Conqueror many times before alongside the Avengers.

"What's that nutcase doing back here!?" Peter asked through his surprise of Kang being here.

"Obviously wanting to conquer your era like he did mine!" Miguel retorted, recalling Kang's recent conquest of his home era.

Kang then continues with his global announcement, 'THE OPENING ACT IS JUST ABOUT FINISHED. I WANT TO THANK THE SYNDICATE AND THE AVENGERS FOR PUTTING ON A GOOD SHOW. THANKS TO THEM, THINGS HAVE BECOME QUITE INTERESTING. NOW, LET US BEGIN. THE CONQUEST THAT WILL BURST OPEN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE AND ALL OF TIME!'

On the streets, Modern Sonic snarls, "Yeah right. As if I'll let him do as he please!" before speeding off alone towards the warship.

"Sonic, NO! You don't know what you're up against! None of us do!" Hawkeye shouts at him to fall back, but of course Sonic doesn't listen and presses onward.

Just then, a strange device from within Damocles Base activates, causing a mysterious white light to emanate as Kang makes his move. This light spreads throughout the planet, swallowing everything and everyone in its way. People. Pets. Plants. All of them disappear into the light despite their best attempts to run away. Not even Mobiant Earth's Mightiest Heroes are safe from the light that gives off an odd sense of deja-vu. Modern Sonic accidently runs headfirst into the light, trying to brake but was too late. The light disables Cap's Quinjet and distracts Iron Man, causing both to fall. The other Avengers were then consumed by the light, with Amazing Spider-Man being the last to go as he falls into the white void screaming, having no idea if he'll survive. And if he does, where will he end up?

KFX Here: And that was the opening act of The Solaris Dynasty! Dell Rusk and Terminatrix have revealed their true colors as Red Skull and Ravonna Renslayer respectively. A little late, as it was all a part of Kang's master plan to invade the main timeline. THIS is where the story truly begins! The Time War that will end all time wars! Look forward to the beginning of Act 2, aka "The New Space-Time Arc"!
