Modern Sonic: I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog! Kang trapped the entire planet in his Chrono World in order to complete his Solaris Project while conquering our world at the same time. He sent goons from his Chronos Corps to stop us and nearly succeeded, if Infinite didn't come back from the dead to save us. Why? What's he planning? First things first, reunite with the Avengers and start forming a game plan against Kang!

Act 2 Issue 2: A New Adventure Begins

Avengers Tower, Alien Realm. Chrono World

Up at the rooftop docking bay, the Quinjet lands right as it's being approached by Modern Captain America, Ruby Rose and her future granddaughter, Summer, Beast, Modern Tails, and Modern Amy. "Look! They're here!" Ruby smiles, running a little faster to reunite with her friends.

Walking out of the Quinjet is Nick Fury accompanied by All-New Captain America, Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey, Ragna the Bloodedge, Mario, Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Chip, Modern Sonic, Amazing Spider-Man and his future daughter, Mayday. "Hey everyone, I want you to meet my daughter from an alternate future!" Peter introduces her to his friends.

"Some of them already know me, dad. Don't embarrass me." Mayday quipped.

"It's my job. Say hi to the Avengers, Spider-Girl." Peter snarked.

"Uh, hey. I actually go by 'Spider-Woman' nowadays." May awkwardly introduces herself to the Avengers.

"A pleasure to greet you, Spider-Woman." said Beast, smiling while using his furry hand to shake hers.

"Steve!" All-New Cap smiles while approaching to shake the hand of his legendary predecessor, "Never thought I'd see you again so young!"

A smiling Steve quips, "Did I grow old in your timeline?"

"After you were deprived of the Super-Solider Serum. Entrusted me to uphold your legacy while you worked as SHIELD Director." Sam reveals the fate of his own Steve Rogers as he continues, "I've been Captain America for a while in my world, and, I dunno. Still don't think I'm cut out for this. The legacy of your shield is…complicated. Moreso with a black man upholding it." He expresses his fears of not being good enough to be uphold the legacy that is Captain America.

"Color is irrelevant. It's the heart that matters. And you have one of the strongest hearts I've had the honor of working alongside with. Just have confidence in yourself. I've seen it. You have what it takes to fill in for me in your world." Steve smiles, encouraging his alternate reality friend to be the best Captain America he could be.

Sam nods, "Thanks, Steve."

Meanwhile, Ragna is instantly regretting coming here, tiredly facepalming for one reason and one reason only. Ruby. Because the Huntress Avenger just can't help herself frantically moving around to check out his awesomely powerful sword, Aramasa, "RAGNA! I'm so glad to see you and more importantly your weapon again! Oh, I forgot how it looks like Crescent Rose! What other tricks can it do again!? How much does it weigh? What's it made out of!? How powerful is it!? Can I hold it? Please? Please?! PLEASE?!"

"BACK OFF, BRAT!" exclaims Ragna while rudely pushing the girl to Summer's arms, "I forgot how SERIOUSLY annoying you are!"

"DON'T CALL ME A BRAT!" Ruby angrily retorted.

"Sorry about that, Mr. Ragna. Don't know why my grandmother was born weapon obsessive." Summer sweatdrops, apologizing for her grandmother's embarrassing behavior.

A confused Ragna remarks, "Your grandmother…? Right. Forgot this place is crossing time and fate together.

"You know Ruby, Ragna?" Scarlet Witch asks the swordsman.

"Met her in that Tag Battle Tournament I mentioned earlier. Annoying back then, more annoying now." Ragna dryly quipped.

"You think THAT Rose is annoying…!?" grunts Sonic, nervously sweatdropping while nearly being crushed to death by Amy's hug.

"OH SONIC! Never thought I get to see you again after all this time! Darn that Superhuman Registration Act for separating us! I'll go find Red Skull and smack him out of this Chrono World for proposing something so horrible!" Amy cries tears of joy, happy to be reunited with her self-proclaimed boyfriend.

After Amy relents so he could catch his breath, Sonic is approached by his best friend Tails. "It IS awesome to see you again, Sonic. Always knew you'll be cruising back into our lives in no time." Tails smiled, also happy to be reunited with his big brother.

"Yeah, but I am sorry I didn't cruise back sooner. Didn't want the Freedom Fighters to get in trouble for my actions." Sonic apologizes with a smile. "By the way, where's Sally and the others? Heard some of ya were being controlled by Red Skull to attack the Avengers."

"Just me and Amy, as well as Rouge, Omega, Red Hulk, Wonder Man, and Pyrrha were under mind control. The latter three are helping the Freedom Fighters defend Manhattan. It's chaos down there with all these aliens attacking." Tails explained.

"Noticed. So, how did Skull control you guys?" Sonic asked.

"With that Time Factor." Amy answered. "Tricked Tails and I to go on a mission just to steal it from us while he was Dell Rusk. Did the same to Rouge and Omega."

"Who knows how many of us were secretly infected by Solaris." Tails wondered.

Fury chimes in with, "We'll look into that while devising ways to extract the Factor from their hosts, to prevent Kang from taking more for himself. In the meantime, let's reunite with the others inside. I'm sure Cia is in the middle of chewing out Stark for being reckless with the Sol Vessel." He dryly jokes, walking into the Tower before his allies.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Earth's Mightiest Tower

Members of the Avengers, Secret Avengers, Chrono Avengers, Team RWBY, Team Dark, and Ozpin are hanging out in the briefing room, with most watching live footage of all the chaos running rampant throughout this Alien Realm of Chrono World. Some like Yang aren't paying attention to them, because she's too busy being stoically annoyed of Boom Knuckles's stupidity.

"You must be Kang's sister! Or his alternate reality gender-bender counterpart!" said Boom Knuckles, standing beside the blonde huntress.

"What makes you think those?" A deadpanned Yang retorts while relaxing on the circular seats.

"Because your names rhyme! Kang…Yang…! Eh, eh! Tell me I'm right!" Knuckles playfully elbows her.

"I think you're an idiot." Yang calmly retorted.

Knuckles scoffs, crossing his arms while quipping, "Well you certainly share Kang's attitude." Yang growls annoyingly, and tiredly, at his stupidity, finding this Knuckles somehow more annoying than the Modern one she knows and the Classic one that she recently met. She calms herself upon Spider-Man sitting next to her, causing her to smile after being worried about him ever since they were separated in this Chrono World and the two embrace each other with a warm hug.

Their relationship is certainly going well. The same can't be said for Iron Man and Cia's, as they are in the middle of an argument that Stark is quipping through. "How could you give away the Sol Vessel to RED SKULL?!" Cia angrily berates the billionaire for inadvertently putting the world in danger.

"For clarification, I didn't 'give it away' to Red Skull. I was tricked into giving Dell Rusk its home address." quips Tony, not wearing his faceplate.

"And Dell Rusk was Red Skull!" Cia retorted.

"Which none of us knew at the time. If I did, I clearly wouldn't have told him." Tony calmly quipped.

"You shouldn't have told anyone in the first place! You know how close Iblis was in destroying the world!" Cia snapped back.

"Yeah, but Rusk would've shut down the Avengers if I didn't tell him, and the world would've been destroyed ten times over if there were no Avengers." Tony remarked.

Then Cia sternly retorts up to his face with, "Let me remind you it was your GOVERNMENT, including Fury and your father, that experimented on Solaris through Project Pegasus for DECADES and risked destroying all of TIME, and that was BEFORE Skull infiltrated it and Kang trapped us in his Chrono World BASED off said Project! Should've just gave them a fake location with a fake Vessel! And history claims you to be one of the smartest!"

"I am. And I'm noticing you're cranky. Had any sleep lately?" Tony quipped.

"Don't change the subject!" Cia exclaimed.

"To be truthful, she hasn't had any sleep for the past week." Young Salem sheepishly chimes into the conversation while pulling the Chronoan away from the billionaire.

BGM-Blazblue Continuum Shift 2 OST-Premonition

"Maybe if you were good at your job as Guardian of Time and WARNED us about Kang's invasion, or y'know didn't drop the Sol Vessel into the timestream all those years ago, we'd still have the Sol Vessel!" Tony quips at the time sorceress.

Cia retorts, "Why do you think I haven't had any sleep in the past week?! I've TRIED everything in my power to warn you he was coming, but he blocked entry to your reality with a Tachyon Dam! The Chrono Avengers and I were left stranded in my Sanctuary. It wasn't until the geniuses of my team thought of the risky plan of using the Forever Crystal to breach into your timeline."

"Forever Crystal?" questioned Modern Captain America, chiming in in hopes of diffusing the tension between Tony and Cia.

"Oh yeah. The magic time crystal of unlimited power that was shattered across time until we put it together again. Good idea." Hawkeye quips, briefly briefing everyone on the Forever Crystal.

Boom Tails then joins the conversation with, "Like Cia implied, it wasn't easy as shutting down the time barrier from the opposite side. We had to create a machine that harnessed the Crystal's power in order to a cause a time distortion in-between the moment the Tachyon Dam was activated."

"Which was right after Kang secretly invaded your timeline." Summer quipped.

Classic Tails continues for his counterpart, "We had like mere hours to come and warn you of Kang after we entered your dimension through the distortion and destroyed the Dam." The fox then shamefully rubs the back of his head, "Unfortunately, destroying the Dam had the side-effect of creating another time distortion that we accidently fell through and sent us a few hours ahead in time."

"And I thought my luck was bad." Peter quipped.

Miguel retorts, "Well lucky for us and all of you, it was through that time distortion we learned of Red Skull's plan to poison the city with his virus."

"And Mephiles framing and trying to kill you." Miles said to his Amazing counterpart.

"So to prevent history from changing even more than it already has, we split into groups and helped all of you stop Red Skull. I just wish we stopped him sooner so we could tell you about Kang's arrival." Ozma frowned, feeling ashamed that they weren't able to warn the 21st Century of Kang's invasion.

"You did your best. And thanks to you, we now have a chance to stop Kang." Ozpin said, thanking his counterpart and the Chrono Avengers for their efforts against Skull's plan.

"Okay, but, how? I mean, this Kang seems really powerful if he's able to put together a world like this?" A worried Maya asked.

"It's thanks to his latest System based off Solaris. An upgrade from the Solaris Prototype." Fury replied.

"An upgrade?! So that whole business with Eggman Nega wanting to conquer time using Iblis was just testing the waters for the real deal?" Modern Sonic retorted.

"I'm afraid so. This time however, he's using the Master Emerald as his primary power source to distort the space-time continuum. Creating this warped dimension that connects to various timelines and dimensions." Fury said.

Modern Knuckles snarls, "So it was Kang that stole the Master Emerald!"

"You have one job, Knuckles. And Cia's mad at ME for losing the Sol Vessel." Tony quipped.

"I expected YOU to be more competent." Cia snarked.

"HEY!" Tony retorts alongside all three Knuckles, with the echidnas finding her snarky comment being offensive.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Strategy

"So if we want to return everything to normal, we need to shut off his 'Solaris System', right?" Ragna believed that'll be enough to save the day.

"Maybe, but we have no idea where Kang is hiding it! It could be on his ship, but we have no idea where THAT is either after he used it to blow up the UN Building!" Silver retorted.

"Even if we DO find it, Kang promised to retaliate if he thinks we're attacking. That's a risk we can't take right now." Black Widow commented.

Then, Shadow proposed, "We have an alternative. The Chaos Emeralds."

"Chaos Emeralds?" A confused Ragna questioned, expectedly never hearing of them before.

"Seven gems of miracles that have the power to do anything when properly used." Scarlet Witch briefs the reaper on them.

"Kang basically induced Chaos Control with the Master Emerald to create this dimension. We simply find all seven Chaos Emeralds and use Chaos Control ourselves to undo his mischief. Finding them will also prevent Mephiles from fusing together with Iblis and reforming into Solaris." Shadow explained.

"It won't be easy. We don't know our way in Chrono World. Not to mention we're in the middle of war with his Chronos Corps." Blake chimed in.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-It Doesn't Matter (Instrumental)

"She's right." Fury said. "We need to do a little investigating before hunting down the Emeralds. Luckily before I picked up Spidey's group from Xandar, I've done some recon of this place." The former Director interacts with the room's central hologram to display multiple screens with weird portals in each of them, "All throughout Chrono World, there are portals popping up that connect to different Realms. Different timespaces. Each one unique from the rest and filled with its own style of trouble."

"The fabric of timespace is weak enough to open time holes, yet this World is overall quite stable. Never say I don't give Kang credit for developing such impressive technology. Certainly more impressive than Stark's." Cia remarked.

"You're going to keep dissing me this entire day, are you?" Stark casually quipped.

"No more infighting! We have a job to do and people that are counting on us." Steve retorts before facing his allies with orders, "Split into teams and investigate whatever is through each portal. Once you've gathered enough intel, return to base so we can formulate strategies against the Chronos Corps and locating the Chaos Emeralds."

"Let's make this a race!" says Boom Sonic, grinning confidently at his twin counterparts, "Bet I can find all these Chaos Emeralds and beat Kang before you slowpokes."

Modern Sonic grins cockily at him, "You're on! Don't blame me if you lose 'cause you tripped on your sports tape."

Classic Sonic chuckles excitedly, "Racing against myselves? This'll be a blast!"

"Who was the absolute moron that thought bringing THREE Sonics together was a good idea?" Weiss asked, instantly annoyed at the Sonics not taking this universal disaster seriously. A few adorable taps to the shoulder by Elsa, who casually points her to Cia glaring at the ex-heiress. Her eyes widen, "Oh. Sorry." Sheepishly apologizing for unintentionally insulting the Guardian of Time.

"Alright Avengers!" The smiling Classic Sonic gives a spinning thumbs up beside his counterparts while declaring to the heroes from across time and space, "Let's do it to it!" as they are ready to explore Chrono World as Avengers.

KFX Here: Here's to a nice breather chapter between crazy events. The rest of this Act will be about exploring the different "Realms" of Chrono World, each with its own challenges and villains that the Avengers will have to overcome if they want to get any closer in stopping Kang.
