There are many different timespaces in this Chrono World, all of them under attack by the Chronos World. Let's first investigate a few and find out what we're dealing with. Should be fun.

BGM-Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 OST-Free Roam

The Camelot Realm. A starry green void in Chrono World that naturally imprisons various floating locations and people from medieval Europe, most that are related to the legends of King Arthur in one way or another. There are many portals in this realm, all of them linking to different realms in this massive Timespace Rift. And it looks like something is coming out of one of the portals.

It is an Avengers Quinjet, flying out of the portal from the Alien Realm to the Camelot Realm and holding several heroes that are eager to investigate this weird place for any intel that'll help them defeat Kang the Conqueror and return everything to normal. The heroes that were selected for this recon mission are Ruby Rose, Summer Rose 2099, Classic Sonic, Silver the Hedgehog, Ultimate Spider-Man, Wasp, and Mario, all led by the Invincible Iron Man.

'Entry through wormhole successful. Flying through unknown pocket dimension with no damage sustained to Quinjet.' JARVIS updates the team, as their jet cruises through the skies of the mysterious Camelot Realm.

"Hear me, Cia? Made it to one of the warped time rifts contained in this place. Beginning investigation as we speak." Iron Man contacts the time sorceress through their comms, also testing if they can communicate with each other across dimensions.

'Good. Fury and I will remain at Avengers Tower as mission control. Contact us if you need any assistance, or we'll contact you if we have a lead we want you to investigate. Cia responded.

"Acknowledged." said Tony, scanning the surrounding area with his jet's sensors.

Other members of the team are doing their own part in helping with the investigation. While Wasp safely pilots the Quinjet pass any obstacles, the others are looking out the window to be amazed by how incredible the Camelot Realm is. They spot iconic locations like 6th Century Garrett Castle, a Molten Mine riddled with lava, and the wide open Titanic Plain that is being walked on by giant green trolls.

"How're you all enjoying the view?" The smiling Wasp asked from the cockpit.

"Pretty amazing so far." Silver commented.

"I wonder what era inspired this Realm's creation?" Summer wondered.

"We can discuss that over a nice candlelight dinner. I know a quiet place in Malibu." quips Stark, flirting with the future huntress while making a sighing Wasp roll her eyes since it was expected of him to flirt with beautiful women, no matter the era.

"Iron Man, that's my GRANDDAUGHTER from the FUTURE you're flirting with!" Ruby angrily retorted, being defensive over her granddaughter.

"I can tell. She not only inherited your adorableness, but is also quite beautiful." Tony continues with the flirting, much to Summer's adorable and blushing embarrassment.

"If you're going to ask her out, do that AFTER I hang out with her!" Ruby retorted, still looking pretty stern at the playboy.

"Why else did I bring you two along? You two can chat, have fun inspecting each other's weapons, then I'll have MY fun showing her how we 21st Century billionaire geniuses party." Stark quipped.

"That's very nice of you, Stark. I might take up your offer quite soon. Let's say by 2099?" Summer smirkingly snarks back at the playboy, enticing a giggle from her grandmother.

"I'm loving you even more." Stark quipped.

"You two must be pretty happy getting to hang out like this." said Silver, smiling at the Rose relatives as he says, "Last time it was through the Chronal Link Program. Didn't really get to 'meet' back then. Just talk to each other across time."

Ruby smiles at him, "It was still pretty cool talking to her." She then faces her granddaughter with that same smile, "And now I finally get to LOOK at you! Was jealous when Yang and Pete got to hang out with you before me. You look SO much like me."

"That's genetics for you. People would look at us and think we're twins." Summer smiled.

"Heh. So…uh, how was life like for you in the future, before Kang came and conquered it?" Ruby awkwardly asked, weirded out that she's really talking to her granddaughter from the future face-to-face, much less that she'll be a grandmother one day.

"Pretty good, beside my scientist boyfriend breaking up with me because of personal issues…" Summer started, recalling her breakup with Miguel O'Hara.

"Wait, you're single?" Stark jokingly chimes into the conversation, prompting Janet to slap him so he could shut up and allow the Roses to continue their friendly conversation.

Summer continues from where she was rudely cut off, "Things HAVE gotten better between us. May get back together again. Who knows. Still working hard to be the best huntress that I can be while teaching the next generation of huntsmen. I'm also trying to win a, uh, literary contest." She sheepishly scratches her head, "Want to write a poem for submission, but haven't even gotten the chance to brainstorm. Been too distracted battling time-traveling mutants and robot hedgehogs, and that was BEFORE Kang showed up in my era."

"I'm sure you'll think of something." Ruby assured her.

"In the meantime, let's see some action already! C'mon! Getting bored being cramped in here!" Classic Sonic complains, wanting to stretch his legs outside and fight some baddies.

Iron Man quips, "Be patient, Needlemouse. Let's finish recon before running into trouble. I'm almost done scanning the workings of this dimension for data to construct an interdimensional map of Chrono World. It'll help us pinpoint any Chaos Emeralds, as well as Kang and anyone being attacked by his Chronos Corps."

"Okay. So whatcha got?" Sonic asked.

Tony looks at his holo-map for anything worth investigating, "This dimension is based off medieval times. Lots of magical energy infused here…" Suddenly, their jet receives a beeping alert, "Hold on! Picking up several energy readings converging in this area! There're not Chaos Emeralds, but one of them seem to be Grimm. Wasp, can you fly us towards that direction for a closer look?"

"Leave it to me!" Wasp responded, accelerating the Quinjet to fly faster towards the source of the energy readings.

BGM-Sonic and the Black Knight OST-Black Sword in the Sky

The Quinjet flies northwest of this dimension until they approach a floating fragment of a Grand Kingdom. They fly over a sprawling woodland of old-growth trees towards a giant fortress-city that is under attack by dangerous forces. Wasp looks down and spots one of the monsters attacking this city, "Just found your Grimm problem!"

The heroes look out their window to find a large Wyvern Grimm spawning much smaller Grimm to attack the city while its flying over the area. Even stranger, the Grimm seem to be assisted by Kang Soldiers and phantoms made from black magic that are covered in armor. "Is that-a-dragon?" Mario questioned.

"That's a Wyvern! And its spawning Grimm to attack the town! Don't know what those phantom monsters are." Summer commented.

But what caught Iron Man's glowing eyes wasn't the monsters but the giant medieval, and oddly familiar castle that's surrounded by the town. "This town is surrounding Camelot Castle. If King Arthur was brought to this world, he'll need our help!" He said seriously.

"You sound like you've met King Arthur." Silver noted.

"You're not the only one who's time-traveled, kid. Had a fun quest with Doctor Doom a while back. Doesn't look like he's the one leading the attack this time." Stark quips, reminiscing an old time-traveling adventure to medieval Camelot that he accidently had with Doom. "The Rose twins will go give that dragon a good silvery look to prevent it from spawning more Grimm. The rest of us will protect the townsfolk!" He ordered his team.

Ruby smiles, "Sounds like a plan! Going to LOVE seeing you in action, Summer!"

"I'll try not to disappoint." Summer grinningly quipped.

BGM-Sonic and the Black Knight OST-Camelot Castle

The Quinjet hovers near the town as the hatch door pulls down for the Avengers, each ready for some action. Iron Man flies down first towards a combined group of Grimm and Knights of the Underworld shouting, "DEATH FROM ABOVE!" before slamming into the middle of the group, knocking them down with his iconic pose. As reinforcements rush to kill him, the Golden Avenger decimates most goons with a spinning sweep of powerful microlasers before striking the rest down with repulsor barrages.

"Who is that Golden Knight and his allies that fell from the sky?" asked a Medieval Soldier, displaced from time like his fellow knights beside him.

A Kang Soldier runs to him and replies, "It is Iron Man and the Avengers! Enemies of King Arthur and Lord Kang! They are allied with that Witch to take this kingdom! They must be destroyed!" He lied to the medieval knights.

"Aye! We will defeat them and defend this kingdom from all enemies to the throne!" The Medieval Soldier instantly believes the futuristic goons.

A Medieval Swordsman rush to swing their blade at Iron Man, who easily dodges it while taking to the skies. "Watch where ya swinging that thing! I'm friends with King Arthur! At least the one from my world." quips Stark while deflecting arrow shots with repulsor blasts.

Meanwhile, Wasp is tangling with an Eyeball-One from the Underworld. She shrunk to tiny size avoiding its energy blasts before returning the favor with a sting to its eyes, killing it. "What the heck are these things? They remind me of Grimm but a little creepier." She comments before fighting more Underworld Knights.

"Remember hearing they're called 'Knights of the Underworld'." recalled Miles, saving a townsperson from the claws of a Beowolf Grimm. "Seem pretty chummy with the Grimm. Dunno why they're all doing the same with the knights and trying to kill us. We're the good guys last I remember. Sure we're dressed funny. Maybe they're under mind control?" He wonders while web-throwing the Beowolf onto a Crawling-One with powerful force, killing them both at once.

"Sir Galahad! You've come to save us!" said a happy townsperson, looking at Silver and mistaking him for some silver knight.

"Wha-?! I have no idea what you people are talking about! Just get back to safety!" says the confused Silver while knocking down paralyzed Medieval Soldiers with his psychokinesis.

Nearby, Classic Sonic just finished bowling through Kang Soldiers with his Drop Dash when he spots Mario stomping on Grimm with his iconic jumps. "Not bad jumps for a plumber. Lemme show ya some REAL jumping power!" The cocky hedgehog leaps towards a path of goons, knocking down a Medieval Soldier with an axe kick before curling into a spinball for some swift Homing Attacks on their allies. Each goon was knocked out from just one speedy hit, until he was caught by an Underworld Giant-One that tosses him into a nearby building.

"Oh yes. That was-a-quite an impressive display." Mario mocked him while hammering the large phantom with his hammer.

Sonic scowls at his newest rival, "Like you're being any more impressive." He quips before finishing off the Giant-One with a charged Spin Dash.

As with the Roses, they are slashing through every Grimm impeding their path towards the Wyvern. No matter how many Grimm they kill, that dragon keeps spawning more while it's safe in the sky. So to end this battle, they must hurry and destroy it. "There it is! We're close!" Summer spotted.

"Once we're close enough, let's combine our power and kill it right away! No reason to play when innocents are in danger!" Ruby said while also giving her granddaughter some useful advice about being a hero.

"Understood!" Summer retorted.

But before they were close enough to activate their Silver-Eyed Power on the dragon, something else hits it that left them quite stumped. It was a massive lightning bolt called from the heavens that slams on the back of the beast, causing it to roar painfully as it crashes onto the ground.

"Huh? What was that? Where did that lightning bolt come from?" A shocked Ruby wondered.

"Wasn't from my magic. That was conjured from another sorcerer. One with power that could rival that of the Sorcereress Supreme." Summer sternly noted, sensing a powerful mystical aura nearby.

Ruby gasps at the thought of someone being that powerful as she retorts, "Seriously?! Who could be that powerful?!"

BGM-BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle OST-Hyde's Theme (Scraper Sky High)

The Huntress Avenger scans the area for any powerful sorcerer until she found one standing before the downed dragon. They appear to be a hooded cloaked sorcereress wielding a staff, standing alongside a young boy in a school uniform wielding a captivating red sword. "Wait, that staff! And that cool red sword! It can't be…Is that Merlina and Hyde?" Ruby recognizes the two individuals as Merlina the Wizard and Hyde Kido respectively.

"Quickly! Attack while it is stunned!" Merlina advises her young partner.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" retorts Hyde. The Unknown Actor rushes with his blade, The Insulator, in his hand to relentlessly slash the Wyvern's head until it got tired of the abuse and forces him to jump away with its firebreath. "Too close! Now chew on this! BLACK ORBITER!" The cocky high-schooler slashes the air to fire a spiraling ring of dark energy that slams atop the dragon's head, forcing it down again. Merlina fires a volley of powerful magic blasts that not only further weaken the creature but enrage it as well, as unleashes a roar so powerful it creates winds that blow away its two opponents several meters away. With its enemies dazed for the moment, the Wyvern charges up a powerful firebreath that'll surely leave a burning mark all over their bodies if they don't do something.

But right after the worried Hyde exclaims, "Uh oh! Not liking the look of those flames!" a bright flash of silvery light consumes the area and blinds the duo. It was for only a moment, as when they regained their vision, they were surprised to see the giant Grimm dragon have turned to stone. "Wha-?! It turned to stone?! Merlina, did you do this?" The surprised student asks her.

"No. But…I am sensing a familiar presence in the vicinity." Merlina replied.

"Oh yeah? Know who they could be?" A curious Hyde asked.

BGM-Sonic and the Black Knight OST-Introduction: Merlina's Request

As the petrified dragon slowly disintegrates, the Roses jump down from a rooftop to meet Hyde and Merlina, two heroes that Ruby had fun with in previous adventures. "Hyde! Merlina! Long time no see! Looks like we saved you just in time!" Ruby smiled at her old friends, surprising them both with this sudden reunion.

"Ruby?! Wait, that was YOU who turned that dragon into stone?! Where did you come from anyway?! And when did you have an older twin sister?!" The highly surprised and confused Hyde asked these frantic questions to his old interdimensional friend.

"Called it." Summer frowningly quips, from her earlier joke becoming reality. "I'm not her sister. Believe or not, I'm her granddaughter from the future."

Taken aback by this shocking fact, Hyde retorts with a surprised, "From the FUTURE?! So all I've been hearing about 'worlds' and 'timelines' converging is for REAL?!"

"Yup. This Chrono World was created as one huge warzone for Kang the Conqueror to, well, conquer all of history in a Time War." Ruby briefs the duo on the current situation.

"Time War? I have heard stories of a legendary war across the ages taking place. One that would involve warriors and areas from different times coming into conflict for the ultimate prize that is time itself. I didn't want to believe it, but it would seem those stories are true." Merlina said calmly.

Right then and there, the four of them notice King Arthur's remaining forces retreating from the town. "King Arthur's forces! They're retreating!" Merlina noted.

"All thanks to yours truly." quips Iron Man, joining them alongside the other Avengers after they forced their enemies to retreat.

"Hey, you're Merlina! Remember us?" Miles waves to get her attention towards himself and Silver, getting her to remember them from their recent adventure together against Morgan le Fay.

Merlina smiles, dearly remembering her old friends, "Kid Arachnid! And Silver! It is nice to see you two well after a long time." Her face then turns shock upon noticing Classic Sonic amongst them, "And…Sir Sonic? Incredible…To see you as a child instead of the Knight of the Wind that you'll soon grow up to be."

"Cool title, lady. I may just look like a kid, but I'm just as awesome as any other Sonic." Sonic grinned.

"What's so awesome about being a cocky little blue hedgehog…that can talk?" Hyde quips, bewildered to be greeting a mobian hedgehog.

"YOU keep talking while I run circles around ya, kid." Sonic quipped.

"KID? I'm pretty sure I'm older than you!" The annoyed Hyde retorted.

"So what's the story here?" Iron Man speaks to Merlina for a more important conversation, "Heard you're called Merlina. Any chance you're related to Merlin?"

"Why of course, for I am his granddaughter. Merlina the Wizard. Royal Wizard of Camelot. Thank you for coming to our rescue." Merlina introduces herself to the Avengers, greeting Stark with a friendly handshake.

"Name's Iron Man, and you're welcome. I'm friends with your grandfather. The one from my world anyway. So why is King Arthur attacking his own kingdom with monsters and Kang? The one I know would never team up with that lunatic." Stark questioned.

Merlina frowns, "I presume the one you know was not an illusion created by Merlin, and wasn't made immortal by the corrupted power of Excalibur's scabbard."

"The fake King Arthur is back? But I thought Sonic and I defeated him." Ruby commented.

"You did." Merlina confirms before clarifying further, "But thanks to Kang, he was saved right before his humiliating defeat. Right after Camelot was torn into this world, he sought to retake his kingdom by force with assistance from the Grimm and Knights of the Underworld, as well as Kang's forces. Kang is a warrior of the most fearsome ability…My knights and I didn't stand a chance against their might. Camelot became Arthur's once more, and I was forced to retreat with help from this young man, Hyde Kido." She gestures to the high schooler.

"And what's your story?" Wasp asks him.

"Simply put? I was lost. One second I was taking a test in my world. The next second I'm in this weird world fighting knights and monsters and saving wizards. We came back here to rescue the townspeople when you people showed up." Hyde answered.

"Call us Avengers, kid." Stark quipped. "We'll be glad to help you guys liberate the kingdom. Roses, Sonic, and Spidey. Go with Merlina and help her rescue the townsfolk. The rest of us will head towards the castle to have a stern talking to with his majesty. Assuming he's home." He ordered his team and their two newest members.

"Do not underestimate him if he is. Good luck, Iron Man." Merlina wishes him the best of luck as they prepare to split up.

With Merlina's Group…

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Into the Fray

The group consisting of Merlina, Sonic, Spider-Man, Ruby, and Summer ventured into the storm drains beneath the castle to free the innocents from King Arthur's dungeon. "Where are we?" asked Sonic while fighting through King Arthur's forces.

"The waterway under the castle. It is here where townspeople are being held captive." Merlina answered.

"In the sewers? Your King Arthur really is evil." Miles quipped.

Enemies take defense behind wooden doors that are easily cut down by Summer, allowing the rest of the team to go in guns blazing. Merlina freezes a Medieval Soldier with an ice spell before they're kicked to the sky by Sonic and before Ruby dash-slashes through a line of monsters on high impact. Reinforcements are spotted rushing from another waterway, prompting Merlina to flood it and push them away. As Summer knocks down a goon in middle of others, Miles uses his Venom Sting on the water beneath them to electrocute them all into defeat.

While confronting a powerful Arma Gigas, a grinning Summer gets her grandmother's attention with, "Grandma! Watch me work out this!" After clashing with the Gigas's blade for a bit, the future huntress sweeps its legs and causes it to trip onto a swift backflip kick that sends her to the air. In that brief moment, she hurls her twin bladed staff to ram into the Grimm's chest until it's stunned then summons it back to her hand before warping closer to kill it with a clean cleaving slash from top to bottom.

"Showing off to your grandma?" Ruby playfully smirks at her.

"Just trying to impress you." Summer grinningly quipped.

Right after that, the heroes found the jails where not only townspeople are kept imprisoned but also captured GUN Soldiers that fought valiantly against King Arthur's tyrannical rule. Merlina safely unlock their cells with her magic, allowing them all to taste freedom once more. "We're free!" A rescued Townsperson exclaimed in joy.

"Thank you so much! It was torture in there!" A GUN Soldier said to the heroes.

"You're free now. Let's check if they're any more cells, then we'll catch up with Iron Man's group in the castle." Ruby said, hoping things are going well at Tony's side.

Meanwhile with Iron Man's Group…

The combined forces of Iron Man, Silver, Wasp, Mario, and Hyde easily broke through Camelot Castle's defenses all the way towards the throne room, where Silver blast opens the large door between them and whoever's hiding in the other side. "Excuse us, we're here searching for a Mr. King Arthur. Is he home?" Stark jokingly asks the person inside the throne room.

The person he was talking to wasn't King Arthur but a mysterious Black Knight wielding an advanced energy lance while sitting on the throne. "King Arthur is currently away on important business." He stands off the throne to confront his enemies as he continues saying, "Instead, you will have the honor of addressing to-."

"Nathan Garrett?" A shocked Wasp recognizes this villain by his voice.

"You know this clown?" Hyde asked.

"An old enemy of mine. And the non-heroic descendant of the original Black Knight of Arthurian legend." Wasp briefs him on this villain's history.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Bring on the Bad Guys

"A legend that will be REWRITTEN after I VANQUISH YOU!" exclaims Black Knight, firing tremendously powerful energy waves from his lance that manages to knock back Hyde, Mario and Silver for a moment while the other two go on the offensive.

Wasp shrinks down and rapidly fly around her old nemesis, stunning him with a deadly barrage of bio-electric surges while quipping, "Only fitting the evil Black Knight is working with an evil King Arthur! Where is he, Garrett?" before Tony blasts him back.

"It's like I said! He is conquering the rest of this Realm while I was left in Camelot in command of his forces to terrify the townspeople and fight back against rebels." said Black Knight, twirling his lance while its emitting flames to block Tony's onslaught, "Merlina was expected to return for vengeance. You Avengers, however, I will take pleasure in destroying!"

Suddenly, a dark misty aura envelops Black Knight as his power and evil intent bursts to fiendish levels. He infuses his lance with dark energy before firing a blast that multiples and become a line of energy spheres that knocks Iron Man and Wasp both down to the ground. "His power just exploded! Could he be an In-Birth using EXS?" A surprised Hyde wondered.

"Don't know what you're talking about, but it looks like he accessed the Solaris System." Tony noted.

"Say what?!" asked the confused Hyde while dodging more of Dark Black Knight's vicious energy bolts.

"Time god powers, Kiddo. Not much. Just about 20%. A little teamwork should embarrass him!" Tony quipped.

Hyde grins, "That I understood!"

"Have at you!" Dark Black Knight chuckles cockily while thrusting his lance at the distracted Hyde. Narrowly, the Unknown Actor manages to block his strike, allowing Wasp to blast a weakspot in his armor that forces him aback and retaliate with lightning bolts that blast away his enemies. Mario then comes jumping on his head, stomping his helmet to have it stuck on his head for a moment and distract him from Silver psychically disarming him.

"Keep him still, Silver!" Tony orders while charging up his Unibeam for the finishing blow.

Silver complies to his commands and paralyzes Garrett with his psychokinesis. Though Garrett tried to escape, and nearly does after using up all of his dark power, he wasn't fast enough to save himself from eating a full-powered Unibeam that sends him flying into a nearby jail cell that closes on him.

Defeating Black Knight also seemed to have somehow dispelled a dark energy barrier that was entrapping a mysterious silvery blade that looks to have a closed face placed in a stone near the throne. "Hey Iron Man! Look over there! It's something that was sealed inside that dark barrier." Silver noticed.

"Could that be Excalibur? Arthur must've not wanted anyone touching his sword while he's gone. Defeating Black Knight must've unlocked the seal." Iron Man proclaimed. He walks over to the sacred sword, and while being very casual about it, pulls it out from the sword without much effort but much to the shock of everyone but the confused Hyde as it deems Iron Man worthy of its legendary power. The Golden Avenger checks out his new weapon while quipping, "Huh. Looks like I AM worthy to wield immensely powerful magic weapons. Just wish this one didn't look crummier than Mjolnir."

BGM-Sonic and the Black Knight OST-The Sacred Sword Caliburn: Meet King Arthur

"Fool!" exclaims the sword, surprising everyone and nearly causing Tony to drop it once it talked.

"It TALKS?!" Hyde exclaims in utter surprise of the talking sword.

"You're the next chosen one? Still but an armored knave though, aren't you?" The Sword mocks its newest wielder.

"Says you. Why does MY magic sword have to sound so egotistical?" Stark quipped.

"Awww, you two are perfect for each other then." The smirking Wasp snarked.

At that moment, Merlina's group is teleported into the throne room by the wizard herself just in time to witness Tony arguing with the sacred sword. "I see you have freed the Sacred Sword Caliburn from its imprisonment. As the lesser form of Excalibur, it has a mind of its own and the will to select its bearer. A useful weapon that'll aid us against King Arthur and his dark sword, Deathcalibur." Merlina explained.

BGM-Sonic and the Black Knight OST-Knave the Hedgehog and an Oversized Letter Opener

"Merlina! It relieves me to see you alright. And it pleases me to see Lady Ruby once again." Caliburn smiled at his old friends.

Ruby happily waves to him, "Hi Caliburn! You're looking as awesomely cool as I remember!"

"Thank you. And is that…Sir Sonic with you? He appears shorter last I remember." Caliburn then looks at the kid version of his previous partner.

"Don't make fun of my height if you don't want to be used as an oversized letter opener!" Sonic angrily retorted.

Caliburn sighs, "He certainly is Sir Sonic in his younger, undisciplined days. And now I have no choice but to discipline this Armored Knave in the art of chivalry." He then sasses Tony.

"I am Iron Man! Not 'Armored Knave'!" The annoyed Tony retorted.

"Very well then, I shall call you 'Iron Knave'." Caliburn quips, annoying his armored owner even further.

"Whatever you say, you dull blade." Stark snarked.

"Geez. Glad Insulator doesn't talk. Otherwise I'd be driven insane a LONG time ago." Hyde joked.

"GAAAH!" Black Knight grunts in fury from his cell, earning his enemies' attention while he whines, "Not just the Ebony Blade, but I'm not worthy enough to wield Caliburn either! Curse you, Stark! What do you have that I don't?"

"Good looks. Billions of dollars. And the pleasure of mocking you outside your cage." Stark mocked.

"Start talking about Kang, Garrett! You gonna make this easy or do we have to get medieval?" Wasp sternly threatens the dark knight.

"Kang's plans are WAY beyond you…You have no idea…" Black Knight claimed.

"Try us!" Hyde threatens him with his sword. "If you don't want to sleep for eternity, at least tell us where King Arthur is so we can chat with him about Kang!"

"Go then…To the capital city of Brazil…Brasilia. When Kang constructed Chrono World, he broke Mobiant Earth into 9 different pocket dimensions, each created to rain confusion on their continent as the center piece and focus of conquest. This Realm houses South Amerius, which King Arthur has nearly conquered. If only I was allowed to watch him destroy you…" Black Knight coldly revealed an interesting tidbit about Chrono World and Arthur's whereabouts.

"With me by their side, these heroes will not be destroyed!" Caliburn retorted confidently. "Come, Iron Knave! Let us stop the King before this Realm is his!"

"Sure. Just keep quiet with the knave stuff until we do." quips Iron Man, flying off with his allies to find King Arthur.

Later at Brasília, Brazil…

BGM-One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 OST-Chaos on the Field

It's G.U.N. versus King Arthur's forces in an all-out war at the federal capital of Brazil. Led by Agent Topaz, the GUN Soldiers seem to be holding their own against the invaders. They have Laser Rifles that surprise the old-fashioned knights with their bouncing lasers. Shield Hunter robots that are strong enough to block an Arma Giga's sword. Big Foot-type robots that massacre a squadron of Underworld Knights with their rapid gunfire.

Their efforts, while amusing, was pointless when you're at war with the legendary King Arthur. The dark knight goes flying to the sky in his horse while taking out his sword, Deathcalibur, creating a dark slash of energy which spawns several more Underworld Knights and Grimm to do his bidding in assaulting GUN.

"Hold the perimeter around the Legislative Chamber! HEAR ME!? We WON'T let this country fall to his hands!" Topaz exclaims, encouraging her fellow troops to protect the government building from King Arthur with everything in their disposal.

Lucky for GUN, they have help from some powerful allies. Fox Alistair. Velvet Scarlatina. Yatsuhashi Daichi. And with Coco Adel as their leader, they are professional huntsmen Team CFVY. "MANEVUER TWELVE!" exclaims Coco, prompting the team attack between herself and Yatsu, in which he hurls her across the field as she sprays the area of monsters with bullets in the air.

Not just huntsmen, but heroes from different timelines and dimensions joined the battle. Two in particular. White Vision from the Marvel Cinematic Universe cuts a wide swath through his enemies after unleashing a cone of energy from his forehead. And Amy Rose from the Classic Age does battle with Arthur's wizardry partner, Mysterio, as she smacks him back with her hammer before she is blasted back and Mysterio dips into his smoke, emerging in her face and delivering a powerful uppercut.

Classic Amy was sent screaming and flying from Mysterio's tricky attack until she was surprisingly caught by her love interest, Classic Sonic, who showed up to the battle in the nick of time alongside his team of Avengers. "Amy! Was not expectin' to save you in this weird zone! You okay?" The concerned Sonic asked.

"I am, now that you're here! I'm so happy you saved me, Sonic, I could really kiss you!" Amy happily tries to kiss her love interest, only for Sonic to fearfully dodge her attempts.

"Hey-hey-hey! Not in the middle of a warzone, Amy!" Sonic retorted.

"Avengers! Thank goodness you're here! We could use the backup!" Topaz said to the arriving heroes.

"Just leave these two to us." said Iron Man, glaring at both Arthur and Mysterio.

"So glad you're here, Ruby." Velvet smiles at her old friend from Beacon, who responds with a nodding smile at Team CFVY.

"Vision? Why are you white again? Wait, don't tell me. You're Vision from another timeline." Wasp speaks with the alternate dimension Vision.

"To specify, Earth-199999. A pleasure to be working alongside the Avengers once more." White Vision responded, definitely sounding like Vision with some stoicism in his voice that makes him sound a little like an emotionless robot.

King Arthur lands his horse on the ground to confront the Avengers beside Mysterio, as the magician jokes, "And now we have a full audience."

"So you are the fabled Avengers that I've heard about. I'm not impressed by the looks of you." King Arthur mocks the heroes.

"Says the fake king teamed-up with the fake magician wearing a fishbowl for a head. When did you become his sidekick, Mysterio?" Iron Man mockingly asked the supervillain.

"After I was honored to take the position of his Royal Wizard. I am the all-new Merlin! The GREATEST sorcerer in all of history!" Mysterio arrogantly proclaimed.

"Do not mock my grandfather with your theatrics!" An angry Merlina retorted.

Then, with swift ominous, Mysterio's body becomes enveloped in the Dark Aura while he's saying, "I assure you, milady, my theatrics are no laughing matter."

BGM-Sonic and the Black Knight OST-Fight the Knight

Right after that, King Arthur envelops himself with the same Dark Aura, "Do not disappoint me, Mysterio. I have a country to conquer!"

The Master of Illusions rises to the sky to use his tricky technology to produce mysterious green gasses that consume the battlefield and its heroes. Suddenly, the heroes found themselves standing in a twisted nightmarish version of Brasilia, with a massive Dark Mysterio appearing as an eternal backdrop while Dark King Arthur is front and center to directly challenge his foes into battle.

"What the-?! What happened to the city?!" A surprised Hyde exclaimed.

"It's just an illusion! Don't fall for it!" Miles assured him.

"I will make you so-called heroes REGRET to ever challenge me!" King Arthur threatened before galloping away on his horse.

"After him!" exclaimed Caliburn.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" Iron Man flies ahead of his friends, taking the lead to face Arthur. The evil king shoots dark energy balls at the Avenger, who swiftly uses his sacred sword to strike them down while not slowing himself down. But right as Tony reaches Arthur, he was suddenly down by a projectile in the shape of Mysterio's massive fist. "Damn it! Can't fight with Mysterio lending him support! Someone take him out!" exclaims Tony while struggling to stand back up.

Silver grabs as much debris as he can with his powers before flying at top speed towards the massive Mysterio. When he believes he's close enough, he hurls them right at his helmet only for them to simply pass through him as if he's an illusion. The shocked hedgehog gasps, "My attacks had no effect!"

Summer then warps to his side with an annoyed scowl, "And I can't seem to teleport any closer to attack. This is one annoying illusion."

"ENDING YOU HEROES WILL BE MY BEST TRICK OF ALL! READY FOR THE LAST SHOW YOU'LL EVER SEE?" Mysterio mocked while beginning his counterattack.

Firsts off, he fires a barrage of dark energy blades that strike down some of the heroes. Those that did dodge them shouldn't count themselves lucky for long, as the blades that hit the ground near them suddenly burst in a destructive explosion that blows most of them away. "For fake magic, this hurts like HELL!" The injured Hyde complained.

"BOW BEFORE MYSTERIO'S MIGHT!" Mysterio then performs another infuriating trick, which is summoning clones of himself as well as Grimm and robotic soliders sharing his color schemes. Some of the Mysterio Clones burst into bats that blitz Team CFVY, distracting them for the Mysterio Robots to blast them along with Mario, Merlina and Miles.

Summer holds her own against the Mysterio Grimm, fending a lot of them with lightning-fast strikes from her dual kamas until she was suddenly lunged and pinned to the ground by two Beowolves called Mike and Marty, both who could strangely talk.

"Oooo, this one looks feisty enough to eat! Where should we start?" Mike asked his fellow Beowolf.

"The eyes! No, wait wait! The hair! Start with the hair!" Marty excitedly retorted.

"That's disgusting!" Mike objected.

Marty quips, "Just think of it as spaghetti-!" before they were suddenly killed from a single slash from a furious Ruby.

"GET OFF MY GRANDKID!" Ruby exclaimed, saving her granddaughter from the weird Grimm that may or may not have been illusions.

In amidst of this mystical battle, Merlina seems to have discovered a weakness that can be exploited to defeat Mysterio. Concentrating on her High Ancient Magic, she senses that weakness in the form of the Mysterio Clones. To test this out, she obliterates a few of the clones with a single powerful blast from her staff. And from the looks of it, destroying those clones damaged the massive Mysterio illusion in the background, proving that her theory works.

"As I figured. His theatrics cannot hide from real magic." Merlina muttered before turning to her allies with, "Attack his clones! They are linked to the real Mysterio! Destroy them and he'll be forced to reveal himself!"

"You heard the wizard! Focus on the fishbowls!" Coco commands her teammates. Team CFVY decided to be the ones to focus on the clones to grant the others an opening to defeat the real Mysterio, and they are doing an amazing job overwhelming them. Yatsu slams his enormous sword to devastate the ground whilst unleashing shockwaves that destroy surrounding clones. Coco devastates a swarm of clones with her handbag minigun. Fox uses his blades in combination with his martial arts to obliterate several clones before punching an Underworld Knight onto more clones. And thanks to the impressive combination of her Semblance and weapon, Velvet easily decapitates the remaining clones with a single shield throw exactly copied from Captain America whilst wielding a holographic shield resembling the Super-Soldier's.

All of his clones being destroyed severely wounded the real Mysterio until he couldn't endure the pain any longer. His massive illusion disappears to be seamlessly replaced with the regular-sized, and incredibly infuriated, Mysterio. "NO! You can't stop me! The show must go on!" He professed.

Merlina shuts him up with a powerful lightning bolt from the heavens, electrocuting him for Miles to web him and spin him around for a bit until he decides to throw him with a quip, "Show's cancelled, Misty!" Mysterio's hurled towards Mario, who uppercuts him into the sky for a triple combo from the three Roses: Ruby, Summer, and Classic Amy. Ruby slashes him. Then Summer divekicks him in the chest. And lastly, Amy slams her hammer with enough force to shatter his glass helmet and knock him down for the count while he screams in defeat.

Mysterio's defeat signaled the end of his illusion over the city, turning Brasilia back to normal. The sudden change distracts King Arthur from his clash with Iron Man, giving the Avenger the chance to slash him with a swift strike with Caliburn. Arthur snarls, "Pitiful, Mysterio! I warned you not to disappoint me! Alongside these weaklings, you too shall be executed!"

"Don't pretend we haven't been giving you a hard time!" quips Iron Man, forcing the evil king to gallop away.

"And don't pretend you can run from me!" Classic Sonic gives chase at high speed, blitzing through Underworld Knights with ease while nearly closing the gap between himself and the king.

"You are not the Sonic I once fought, but the pleasure of killing you will be satisfying nonetheless!" says Arthur, shooting electricity from his sword to paralyze Sonic to a painful halt. The dark king turns around and charges his horse for a devastating blow at Sonic, only for the hedgehog to be narrowly saved by Silver's psychokinesis. "Sir Galahad?! You have returned just to betray me?!" He exclaims in shock, also mistaking Silver for his counterpart.

"My name is SILVER THE HEDGEHOG! I'll be honored to help you remember that!" retorts Silver, psychically hurling the curled-up Sonic at the king.

King Arthur deflects Sonic with a single blade swing only to be swiftly blasted off his horse by Silver's powers, allowing Sonic to pummel him with several Homing Attacks. "Pour it on him!" Stark shouts, ordering White Vision and Wasp to join Sonic's assault with a barrage of energy blasts that pushes Arthur to a knee. Growing enraged, the dark king conjures a dark barrier to protect himself from their assault while summoning a portal for his sword to swipe all three heroes away through. Hyde leaps in with a charged Insulator to stab Arthur's barrier, shattering it with a vortex of energy that pushes him back for a brief clash of blades until Arthur overpowers him.

"Perish, vermin!" Arthur rapidly fires many large fireballs at Hyde, who struggles to block all of them until Arthur taps into another dark magic that creates numerous explosions along with a dragon made of black flames that knock away most of his enemies.

Iron Man was one of the few standing from his fire dragon attack and flies in clashing with Arthur once more, only to be overpowered as well and smacked to the ground. Arthur goes for the killing blow until Caliburn forces himself to block it while shouting, "IRON KNAVE!" This gave Tony the opening he needed for a counterattack. He deflects Arthur back enough so he could strike his chest with a lightning-fast combo swing that pushes him back further. "Good counterattack!" Caliburn praises the man.

"Thanks for the save back there." Stark thanks him.

"Quit with the praises!" retorts King Arthur, using his corruptive scabbard to heal his wounds, "As long as I hold this scabbard, you will never defeat me!"

"I'm afraid he is right. That scabbard makes him immortal. Without the light of all four sacred swords to dispel his magic, we cannot hope to defeat him." Caliburn explained.

"Can't we just take the scabbard away from him?" Stark proposed his idea to remove Arthur's immortality.

"It would make no difference." Caliburn claimed.

BGM End

"Okay, well, I've defeated a few immortals in my time. If we can't beat 'em…" Tony scans his surroundings for anything that might be the key in defeating Arthur. Suddenly, his sensors pinpoint a faint dimensional crack in the air near his majesty which instantly gives him an idea, "Banish him from this timespace! Vision!" He calls him out for a brief talk, "You see what I see in the air?"

BGM-Iron Man 3 (Game) OST-Gameplay D

White Vision notices the dimensional crack and remarks, "I do. The fabric of this timespace is weak in that particular area."

"Exactly! I want you to crack it open with enough energy into another dimension! I'll handle the rest!" Stark told him the plan that'll defeat King Arthur.

So while Vision uses his forehead beam to burrow open a portal from the dimensional crack, Iron Man flies off to battle the dark king one more time. "Come back for more, Iron Knight?" Arthur mockingly asks him.

"Good nickname, and yeah. Only this time, we're playing by MY rules!" Iron Man quipped. Tightening his grip on Caliburn's handle, Stark starts to clash with Arthur's Deathcalibur with everything he has. His hi-tech Extremis Armor has analyzed Arthur's fighting pattern for the perfect countermeasures, resulting in Tony to swing his sword with precise timing right when Arthur attack. The two swordsman are finally evenly-matched, blow-for-blow, with Stark having this to say to this fake, "Not bad for a bad copy! But the REAL King Arthur that I met was not just stronger than this, but a true king that was respected by many including me!" He taunts him with words that slowly infuriate him, "You're just a flawed fake that let power go straight to his head! Caring for no one but himself…" He claims as he slowly overpowers the king, "Almost remind me of myself in the old days, 'til I learned to push through my ego and become a better man! I'll be honored to help you do the SAME!"

With a single overwhelming slash, Tony overpowers King Arthur in their clash and pushes him back with incredible pain. "Unlock power inhibitor! IRON AVENGER!" Tony flies forward and grabs the weakened king, dragging him along the ground before swiftly ascending and releasing him while he arcs up and back away from him. Right as Vision successfully opens the portal and Arthur begins to freefall, Tony exclaims, "Lock and load! HERE'S MY SPECIAL, YOUR MAJESTY!" and hunches forward before thrusting his chest out and firing a supercharged Unibeam that rams King Arthur into the portal, trapping him in whatever alternate dimension that lies beyond the portal before it closes.

"Well done, 'Iron Knight'. A sound strategy." Caliburn genuinely praises Tony's plan, "Though I fear that won't be the last we hear of him."

"Eh. Long as we're not hearing from him across dimensions I'm good." Stark shrugged.

BGM-BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 OST-Premonition

The battle of Brasilia has been won by the heroes now that King Arthur is no longer a problem and GUN is taking the unconscious Mysterio into their custody. The heroes that helped save the day reunite with Iron Man and Caliburn, with Hyde having this to say, "Looks like we won."

"For now. Though we were successful repelling the enemy threat from Brazil, it is only a matter of time until it is invaded again." White Vision responded.

"This is all that Kang guy's fault messing with the world! How are we going to beat him?" Classic Amy worriedly asked the team.

"As a team." Iron Man answered confidently before facing his friends, old and new, with a little speech, "Kang won't rest until he revives the Time God, Solaris, then use his power to conquer all of time and space, with no one able to stop him. All of us. Our worlds and their histories. They've been scattered across Chrono World! Divide and conquer! THAT'S his strategy! And it won't be long until he overwhelms us."

Silver steps in to continue with the speech with words of his own, "But if we come together, we have a chance! Form a plan to defeat Kang and set everything right! PROTECT our past and SAVE our future! It's up to us to decide our destinies. We won't let Kang make that decision for us!"

Confidently, Merlina steps forward to confront the Avengers, "I have made…terrible mistakes in my past. In order to create a brighter future where everyone can live their lives to the fullest, Kang MUST be stopped! I'll be honored if I'm allowed to privilege to fight by your side, Avengers."

"You already are. And your grandfather would be proud." Tony makes the young sorcereress happy with that praise.

"No way Kang will conquer my home and get away with it!" Hyde declared sternly, "What's the plan now?"

"For now, you stay here with Merlina, Amy, Vision, and CFVY. Help GUN keep this dimension protected. Contact us if you need any help, or meet us at Avengers Tower in the North Amerius Dimension." Tony ordered.

Hyde nods with understanding, "Got it. And if Arthur shows his ugly face again, I'll be glad to cut it off!" He smiled.

"We're counting on you! You're coming with me, Caliburn…" Tony lifts his talking sword near his face, "Hope you don't mind if I make some technological adjustments to your being. Perhaps rewrite your programming to make you adore me 100% 24/7!" He jokes while walking away with his team of Avengers.

"Y-You will do no such thing! I am warning you, Iron Knave!" Caliburn angrily retorted.

"Enough with the knave crap, jeez. I'll certainly program you to call me 'Iron Knight' all the time. Name sounds as awesome as me." Stark quipped.

"And disrespectful to all knights…" Caliburn muttered, right before the Avengers return to their Quinjet and fly off back to their base in New Vale.

Meanwhile inside Damocles Base…

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Fu's Plot

Kang the Conqueror sits stoically, patiently, on his hover chair in the command deck while his warship hides somewhere in the Alien Realm. He's been in his ship ever since he officially declared war with his prisoners in his Chrono World, spying on their every move and watching their pathetic efforts to stop him and his Chronos Corps from multiple holo-screens.

'Cia and the Avengers are just beginning to see the full extent of my genius.' Kang begins to internally monologue while resting his head on his fist, 'They refuse to understand that conquest is their ONLY salvation. But I will not deny that I take great pleasure in it. Who wants to live in a "peaceful world" that never change? Never challenged to push us to our limits? Not me when I was growing up. For countless years, I have conquered entire galaxies for their resources to build the ultimate empire, to then claim the ultimate prize that is Solaris that will cement myself as the ultimate conqueror of time! Let history's champions attempt to defeat me! Let them swell their ranks with heroes from worlds that I have conquered! They will ultimately fail. I am Kang! And the universe…will be mine.' He declared with an ominous smile, ready for the battles that will come next in Chrono World.

BGM-Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) OST-Extras

KFX Here: This entire chapter was inspired by one of the most popular Iron Man stories in the comics simply called "Doomquest", where Iron Man and Doctor Doom traveled back in time to the medieval days of Camelot. Quite ironic that instead of Iron Man working with King Arthur to defeat Doom and an evil witch, in this chapter Iron Man was working with a good witch to defeat King Arthur. By the way, who's hyped for the upcoming mobile game, Marvel Future Revolution? I know I am. Can't wait to play it!
