Act 2 Issue 8: Into the Nexus

Avengers Tower, Alien Realm. Chrono World.

It's a beautiful day in New Vale City. As beautiful it can be while trapped in this battle dimension. But it would seem the battles have calmed down for a moment, allowing Cia to walk up to a rooftop balcony for some fresh air. Winds blow on her lovely body that fail to push her back as she reaches the balcony so she may be alone to think, and reflect. She looks up at the stars of this azure timespace thinking, 'The stars sure are beautiful in this Realm.' as she looks down at the massive city, 'Same as this city. It has gone through so much for so many years throughout so many timelines. Always surviving thanks to its mightiest heroes. I wish I could say the same for the city I was born in.' with a somber tone.

BGM-Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) OST-Memory of Youth

Cia closes her eyes to think back to her childhood home from the ancient past, a highly technological continent that floated in the skies, 'Chronoa…My home…The kingdom that protected the world in the forgotten past with our power to command time. The reason I chose the path of a sorceress was to protect my home and support my family through any trouble however big or small.' She thinks of her family of four consisting of herself, her father, her mother, and her adorable little sister, Lana, all of them smiling with happiness. She flashes back to various moments when she was a child, like helping her mother with the cooking, assisting her father in battles against monsters, recalling herself being annoyed when Lana wouldn't take her studies seriously, 'In return, they supported me to become the best sorceress in the kingdom. They loved me, and I loved them. Which made surviving each apocalypse that more unbearable...' She somberly remembers each Chronoan apocalypse that are too traumatizing to forget, such the Mutant Warlord Apocalypse waging war on Chronoa and his Horseman of Death killing her parents, and the Conqueror of Time Kang and his forces wiping out the surviving Chronoans including Lana in their new role as Time Guardians. The most traumatizing memory was the destruction of Chronoa caused by the awakening of Iblis. The Sun God's flames engulfed the kingdom, wiping out those that worshipped him while a young, scared Cia could do nothing but watch her God emerge from a large crater as it gives a ferocious roar.

"FYRAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The memories of Iblis's monstrous roar felt so real that it snapped Cia back to reality, quickly opening her eyes to make sure New Vale didn't also catch on fire.

Thankfully the city is still fine, affording Cia to relax somewhat with a sigh of relief before frowning, '…I'm all that's left of my family. The last Chronoan in existence. Why is it so? Was it because I was too weak? That I didn't master my magics in time? Or was that our fate Solaris chose for us? I do not know…I just pray that this war won't end with another personal sacrifice…' She thinks of her new friends in the Avengers, hoping that one of them will perish at the end of this long drawn-out war.

BGM-Dragon Ball FighterZ OST-Conversation

As Cia lowers her head in guilt, Sersi enters the rooftop to find her. "CIA! There you are! Was looking for you!" She smilingly waves at her back.

Upon hearing the voice of her childhood friend, a surprised Cia turns around greeting her with a goggling smile, "SERSI!" She happily runs to the arms of her friend and embraces her with a teary-eye hug, "You have no idea how happy I am to see an old friend from the Ancient Age! You haven't changed a bit."

"I'm an Eternal. Hard to age, same as you." Sersi quipped before frowning at her, "But I know the long years haven't been kind to you."

Cia begins to frown depressingly again as she breaks off the hug, "No, they haven't…I'm sorry I haven't contacted you in such a long time."

Sersi smiles, "It's alright. You've been through a lot. But now we're together again."

"To fight in another war." Cia dryly quipped.

"Oh lighten up." says Sersi while giving the Chronoan an unwanted shoulder hug, "You haven't gone to a lot of parties lately or get a boyfriend, did you?"

Cia scowls at her, "My last crush fell for you!" with annoyed contempt.

"It's been centuries, get over that." The quipping Sersi lets go of her old friend saying, "I'll arrange a date with Steve Rogers for you to make up for that after we save the world."

"But he's dating Sharon Carter…" Cia sweatdropped.

"But you don't mind a party invitation? I've become quite the party planner over the years." quips the lovely Sersi as she heads back inside.

"That I don't mind." Cia accepted while following her.

Damocles Base, Camelot Realm

Kang the Conqueror, the orchestrator of this multiversal chaos, observes his handiwork inside a chamber. And judging from his smile, he is well pleased, watching multiple holo-screens displaying epic battles and wars between his prisoners across Chrono World.

"And on it goes, the old familiar dance." Kang said with eyes glued to the screens. "A few words and they rise at each other's throats. And it doesn't matter whether they fight for my favor, or to seize power for themselves, or simply out of fear and panic. They do my bidding nonetheless, for these few rebels, freebooters and would-be quislings sow fear and disorder. Just as I wished, and just how you like, Mephiles."

BGM-Mega Man ZX Tunes OST-Fate - Deep-Seated Grudge

The smiling Conqueror glances to his back where Mephiles ominously stands. The Conqueror of Time and the God of Time, both hanging out together to watch chaos ravage the world. "Splitting the world into separate timespaces and raining confusion while conquering each one relatively unopposed. An excellent strategy. It'll make completing your little machine that much smoother." Mephiles compliments his conquering ally.

Both chrono villains turn to the center of their chamber containing a large reactor machine that resembles an hourglass. Surrounding the outer region of the hourglass are pedestals holding the three Chaos Emeralds, blue, yellow, and red, that their Chronos Corps collected, and contained within the hourglass is the stolen Master Emerald.

"The Solaris Master System." Kang titled his little machine. "Named after our ambitious project, which was also named after the Eternal Sun God of Chronoa. It won't be long until the project is complete. It just requires a little more data."

"The Time Factor and the remaining four Chaos Emeralds." Mephiles stated stoically.

Kang snarls, "One of which Nega failed to collect because he was too busy playing with the Phoenix Force. If he wants to avoid further punishment, he must complete the tasks I laid out for him." His face then turns into a stoic look, "But I must also give him some credit. His research has provided the answer on why you suggested we collect the Chaos Emeralds."

"Hmm?" says an unfazed Mephiles, exchanging suspicious looks with Kang as he waits to hear his answer.

Kang explains, "During the accident 20 years ago, before Project PEGASUS was shut down, there was a spatial meltdown that killed most of the scientists and split Solaris into two component beings, you as Mephiles the Dark and Iblis. The meltdown was caused by Solaris clashing with all his might against the scientists' experiments. It's a miracle the world didn't end that day. But the damage caused by splitting Solaris in two was quite severe. To the point that it would be impossible to be fused back together, unless you were in possession of a tremendous source of spacetime energy that can be used as a conduit. And the seven Chaos Emeralds fit the role as a conduit. The same can be said for the Forever Crystal, but we obviously don't have it."

"The Master Emerald can also be used as a linking source." Mephiles noted.

"Well right now it's being used to anchor this dimension." Kang replied, denying usage of the Master Emerald to rebirth Solaris.

"You and Nega have truly done your research." Mephiles commends his allies.

Kang grins, "Coming from you that's an honor. Like the Chronoans, I worship Solaris. But unlike them, I fully respect your power." He then frowns, "Which is why I am doing everything in my power to repair your other half."

"Repair my Other?" A curious Mephiles raises an eyebrow on his curious statement.

Just then, a smaller machine compared to the S.M.S. rises from the ground containing Iblis as a weak, swirling ball of flames that actually causes Mephiles to show a level of shock and concern. The Black Shadow approaches the machine, playing a gentle hand on the window as his sincere eyes stare into the flames.

"Iblis…is not feeling well. How can this be?" A somber Mephiles asked.

"It's because he hasn't fully recovered from his recent battle with Sonic and Spider-Man." Kang answered.

"Impossible. Iblis is ultimate power that cannot be dimmed to this pathetic state for so long." Mephiles retorted.

Kang calmly says as he recalls secretly observing the final battle between the Super-empowered heroes and Perfect Iblis, "During that battle, the heroes somehow merged the power of the Chaos Emeralds with the Chronoblade. Forming a 'Super' Chronoblade.'

"The Chronoblade evolved?" Mephiles looks a little surprised upon hearing this fact.

"That's right." Kang said as he continues with his little story, "With their new weapon, they swiftly defeated Iblis in a single blow before resealing him inside the Sol Vessel. As if the PEGASUS incident didn't cause Solaris enough damage. Now Iblis is left in an even worse state that even the Chaos Emeralds might not be able to heal."

Upon hearing this, Mephiles angrily thinks to himself, 'As I figured. The Chronoblade is a Chronoan weapon designed to kill their own god. It's not only imbued with the power to illuminate the darkness, but dim the light as well. And of course the Chaos Emeralds allow one to master its power instantly. The perfect chaos to disrupt my order. You insolent mortals!'

"Don't be too upset. This is just a minor setback." claims Kang while earning a scary glare from the annoyed demon. "I am nearly done locating nexus of knowledge that'll provide the additional data to repair Iblis, and fix your 'flaw' that Nega informed me of."

"I see. Much appreciated. It would please me even more when the heroes that did this are announced dead, starting with the Blue Hedgehog." Mephiles glanced.

"I'm aware of your grudge with Hedgehogs and the threat they pose, but we still need them for the plan. Once their purpose is fulfilled, then we can dispose of them." Kang grinned maliciously.

"Excuse me, my love…" Politely, Princess Ravonna walks into the chamber with something mysterious to announce to her lover, "But the first group of…applicants…is here."

Kang turns to her, "Very good, Ravonna. Was there resistance from the local authorities at the rendezvous points?"

"There was. It was easily handled." Ravonna answered confidently.

"I would expect no less. I shall be there shortly." Kang proclaimed.

And so, on his floating Time Chair, Kang enters a massive chamber with Ravonna and Mephiles by his side to look down at the massive crowd they have summoned for orientation. Military men, outlaws and supervillains were called here as potential recruits for another powerful force in the Empire of Kang. Sure Kang already has his own highly-powerful and futuristic army, but he knows that against an invading army, a populace unites, becoming stronger. But against their own, however, the hesitate, choose sides, and inevitably, are lost.

"SO." Kang calls out to the villainous crowd below him, "We sent out a call for recruits. And YOU are the response." He points to some random guy with, "You there!"

"Uh…Me?" The nervous man responded.

"Yes. What qualifies you for a place in my armies? Swiftly!" Kang demands from the poor man an immediate response, or else.

The poor man gulps in fear before answering, "Well, I…Solkarian Army training, sir. Served six years. I'm a Huntsman and soldiered private, too, in-."

Too bad but the man wasn't swift enough to finish talking about himself as a sudden whirlwind blows through the recruits until it stops in front of a stoic Kang and his annoyed lover. "Who dares to interrupt?!" Ravonna exclaimed.

"Enough!" A male voice from within the whirlwind exclaimed, pulling itself down to reveal the upper torso of a man sporting green armor and the mutant power to rotate his body at superhuman speeds. "Whirlwind's here, and I don't wait in line behind bums and losers! I got more power than the rest of these clowns put together, Kang, so I figure I'm just what you're lookin' for in runnin' the world, an' I should get class treatment. I want to be a general…at least." He demanded.

"Oh, you do, eh?" said Kang, looking angry at the arrogant mutant, "Well then. I have your first assignment, 'general'. Tell your fellows across my world…" He presses a button on his chair that painfully teleports Whirlwind back to the surface, "That Kang already HAS power! What he seeks is obedience, ability and discipline, and he will TOLERATE NOTHING LESS!"

Vanishing Whirlwind with a simple push of a button was more than enough to warn the other scared recruits to not make such bold demands to him in the future. Ravonna was glad to see that demanding peasant was booted off their ship, while Mephiles didn't care about him in the slightest. "Now…" Kang leans his imposing figure closer on his recruits as he menacingly asks them, "Where were we?"

Meanwhile at Avengers Tower…

Cia and Sersi talk while roaming through the tower. It's been a very long time since they last spoken to each other, or even seen each other because of this ongoing Time War. But that's not their concern right now. The two friends have reunited and want nothing more than to catch up. Talk about their careers and where they can have fun. It's not often Cia smiles with such happiness and giggles with much adorableness because of her traumatizing past. Right now, she's just happy to be with her best friend.

That is, until Scarlet Witch comes to speak with her. "Cia!" She calls out to the Chronoan, who quickly notice her coming.

"Scarlet Witch. Good to see you are safe. I take it your mission in the Future Realm was a success." Cia said.

Wanda nods, "It was thanks to the Liberty Legion. We captured Red Skull and he's currently under interrogation for any intel that could help us stop the Chronos Corps. But that's not why I'm here." She stated, which caught Cia's curiosity. "I've been meaning to ask you this for a while, and now I have the time. Please tell me…What makes me a Nexus Being?"

BGM-BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II OST-Premonition

"Nexus Being?" A curious Sersi questioned.

Suddenly sporting a serious look on her face, Cia says, "This is good timing. I was wondering when I would get the chance to talk to you about yourself." She walks to Wanda's side, and without looking at her tells her, "Come with me to the living room where we can properly discuss this subject." before walking away, with Wanda and Sersi tagging along.

The living room is already occupied by several guests that are taking a break from the intense temporal action. Ragna the Bloodedge grabbed a can of soda from the snack bar and went to drink it on the sofa next to Phoenix Wright, who's already sitting there exhausted. Oscar Pine is here watching Modern Tails doing some tinkering on MCU White Vision at his request and is left impressed by his mechanical skills upon his smiling completion.

White Vision was the first to detect the women entering the room and of course his sights are immediately locked on the beautiful Scarlet Witch, and vice versa. This shouldn't come as a shock because these two always have an attraction for each other, no matter the universe. For now, they're keeping their feelings on the friendly level.

"Greetings, Wanda." White Vision politely greets her.

"Hello Vision." Wanda kindly responds with a sweet smile, "Can we sit with you guys?"

"Of course." Vision allows the women to sit among them.

"What's the deal? We having a meeting?" The rude Ragna asked.

"One you are free to leave but I recommend you stay. You know of the Observers in your world, right Ragna?" Cia mysteriously asks the Grim Reaper while revealing her knowledge of his universe.

"People that can cause Phenomenon Interventions? Yeah, why?" A curious Ragna responded.

"Altering possibilities, and thus the future, is the definition of Phenomenon Intervention. That is the power of Observers." Cia then glances over to Wanda, "Scarlet Witch here is acknowledged as a 'rare' type of Observer called a Nexus Being. One with potential to rival the legendary Sankishin."

Ragna goggles at her, "What?!"

"Nexus Being?" Modern Tails blinks in confusion.

"Are you implying that my hexes make me a Nexus Being?" Wanda discussed.

"Yes, but there is more than that." Cia states with a serious tone. By simply opening her palm, the time sorceress projects a red hexagram that she shows to Wanda, "This is your unique Mark as a Nexus Being. You see, Wanda, you are a living focal point for the Earth's and the whole universe's mystical energies. Our entire reality anchors off of you. A keystone of the universe that is crucial to its ultimate coherence and stability."

This revelation came as the ultimate shock to everyone else in the room, but no one was as stunned by this news as the Nexus Being herself, Wanda Maximoff, "Me…?"

Wright slams on the table exclaiming, "That's just…crazy! You're claiming that the entire universe hinges on ONE woman being alive?!"

Calmly crossing her arms, Cia replies, "I don't choose who becomes a Nexus. As the Guardian of Time, I vigilantly watch over them to be aware of any temporal changes they may cause to the timestream and act accordingly. There is always one Nexus in each reality. They are among the few allowed to change the course of history, with Scarlet Witch being among the most powerful because of her affinity for Chaos Magic."

"Chaos Magic?" A curious Oscar questions as it is a magic that not even his past lives know anything about.

Wanda turns to the boy with, "A magic so powerful that it was thought to be non-existent by even the Sorcerer Supreme himself. It allows one to warp reality to their very whim." She stated, surprising the farmhand, "Beings like Shadow and I were born to naturally tap into the Chaos Force thanks to devils that wanted to use us for their own twisted games." She references the Alien Devil, Black Doom, and the God of Chaos, Chthon.

"What about these Chaos Emeralds you guys mentioned?" Ragna asked.

"As I said before, they are miracle gems that can transform mere thoughts into power. They are the most powerful forms of Chaos in the universe." said Wanda while summoning the turquoise Chaos Emerald they found in the Sol Realm into her hand, "Merely one Emerald allows its wielder access to unlimited power, and when properly used can warp an entire reality, sometimes with the potential to bring total destruction to the cosmos."

Hearing of the Emeralds' potential to bring cosmic destruction sends shivers down Wright's spine. "You say that, and now I don't want to even THINK about the guy who uses all seven…" He sweats rigorously.

"You usually turn gold." Tails quipped.

"Really?" Oscar casually responds with a confused eyebrow raise.

"He's underselling. I've watched how terrifying gold people are in anime." Wright quips while still sweating in fear of the Chaos Emeralds' ultimate power.

Meanwhile, a concerned Vision turns to Wanda with, "I can detect this revelation as a Nexus Being is troubling on you."

"It's a bit heavy, yeah." Wanda nervously rubs her head, still in shock of her cosmic nature.

"Don't be too stressed and take pride in it. With you by our side, I know we have a much better chance to stop Kang!" Ragna smiled to cheer up the Witch.

"I wouldn't be too overconfident, for Kang is also a Nexus Being that has proven on multiple worlds across time to be the most dangerous and ruthless." Cia proclaimed.

Ragna's smile swiftly drops into a frown, "Thanks for ruining the good mood. Guess the best way to turn the tide is by finding the other Chaos Emeralds."

"Even with their power, our chances at victory are slim considering his Master Emerald can neutralize the Chaos Emeralds." Cia seriously stated.

Now Ragna's frown just transforms into an annoyed scowl at the time guardian, "Would you just shut up and leave us with SOME glimmer of hope?!"

"I can imagine my realized status would be quite worrisome for a Time God like Solaris." Wanda ponders, "Frankly, I'm a little suspicious why Mephiles didn't hesitate to acknowledge me as a Nexus. You'd think he'd be more wary…Then again, he was there watching when Enerjak spoiled me of my identity, so I'm going to assume he had nothing to hide at that point."

"Do not underestimate the Dark Mind of Solaris. He knows well you are a grave threat to his rebirth and will take EVERY precaution. Be extra careful from here on out." Cia ominously warns her scarlet companion, who acknowledges her warning with a stern nod while promising herself to stop Mephiles before he could kill her.

Back in Damocles Base…

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Sneaky Conspiracy

"Mephiles, how would like to participate in a mission in the Remnant Region." said Kang, entering his command deck alongside Mephiles and Ravonna after the tense recruiting session.

"What kind of mission?" Mephiles stoically questioned.

"Invading Solkaria!" Kang answered while still sitting on his Time Chair. "Lyric's forces have nearly conquered that region and are planning now to attack Solkaria for Princess Elise's Time Factor. Red Skull failed to take hers discreetly, and now that he has been captured, we will take it by force. You are free to do as you please, as long as the mission is a success."

Mephiles politely bows to his leader, "Understood. I'll go meet with him at once." He claims before teleporting off the ship.

"My Kang, is it wise to trust him with so much freedom? Mephiles is the dark half of Solaris and is very likely to possess no real sense of honor or loyalty." said Ravonna as she turns to her lover of her suspicions regarding the demon god.

Kang calmly replies, "In war, honor should be discarded. A true commander uses ALL factors that influence the outcome of a battle, even if the method of victory appears cowardice. As for his loyalty, he's a god. He believes himself to be above everyone. So it won't surprise me when he betrays us once the Project is complete."

"What?" A shocked Ravonna gasps at his claim of Mephiles's inevitable betrayal.

"Solaris wishes to destroy all of time. His motives are a mystery, but certainly not interested in multiversal conquest like I am." Kang stated.

"Then why allow his dark half to roam freely and leave him opportunities to sabotage us from within?!" Ravonna retorted.

"Rest assured, Ravonna. Mephiles won't DARE risking his reunion with his beloved Iblis after being shown his current state." Kang claps his hands together as he calmly ponders, "He knows the type of Being I am and what I am capable of. He needs my resources to re-fuse with Iblis as much as I need his power to dominate the Avengers. If he misbehaves, I will simply reseal him in the Scepter of Darkness. Until the Project is complete, we are allies. But once it is done, the real battle begins." He says with such grinning ominous.

Meanwhile, one of Kang's Soldiers have just finished obtaining the latest status on their forces from their computer desk. He turns to his master, "Lord Kang!" receiving his stoic attention as he informs him, "I have received news that another of our incursion zones was raided. Details are sketchy but it would seem the patrolling forces was completely decimated along with the reinforcements, leaving the area conquered by the enemy. Unclear who it is as of yet.

Kang grits his teeth as he has a good angry guess on the identity of their mysterious assailant. What he knows is that they are not aligned with the Avengers but are proving to be much more dangerous, as they have been actively seeking out and annihilating Kang's personal army before the time comes for him to join the war.

"It's him again…Just what is he up to now?" Kang muttered, grunting with an annoyed scowl on his face.

Tokyo, Arabian Nights Realm. Chrono World

The Arabian Nights Realm. A unique timespace that's surrounded by swirling paper of a lost prologue. Here the continent of Yurashia and the World of the Arabian Nights are crossed, and like the others, is under siege by the Chronos Corps. But they are being opposed. Not just by heroes and the local authorities, but also by another party that might prove too dangerous for the other factions involved in this war.

Somewhere in Tokyo, a Kang Incursion Zone has been completely massacred. No soldier survived and the area is utterly decimated. This is thanks to Infinite, the masked jackal that survived his earlier battle with Enerjak. But what is more surprising is that he had help from the masked High Leader of the White Fang, the spiteful Faunus known as Adam Taurus, wearing an updated, imposing long black-and-red coat with two coattails and has spiky red toes on his boots.

Infinite powers down an energy blast that was discharged from his palm and lets out a relaxing sigh. "Looks like I overdid it a bit…" He joked. The masked jackal takes this moment to sit down next to a building and relax after a job well done. Taurus is with him, scoffing a few feet away with his stoic back leaning on the building while his arms are crossed.

"It would seem you've completed your mission. Infinite. Adam Taurus…" says a mysterious man that instantly grabs each of their shocked attention as he approaches them in Celestial-powered armor flaunting a blue cape, along with him holding the white Chaos Emerald in his hand. The man is not just a man but a mutant. The First Mutant. Apocalypse, the High One. "I made the right choice recruiting you two as my latest Horsemen." The First Mutant proclaimed.

Infinite, the Horseman of War, stands from the ground as he stares at his new boss, "Apocalypse…"

"Hngh!" grunts Taurus, the Horseman of Famine turning away from his new master.

Descending to meet with the trio is the winged mutant Archangel, the Leader Horseman of Death. "This is no time to be standing around! Let us return to base to analyze the new data I acquired from Kang's satellite." Archangel sternly orders his subordinates.

"I don't take orders from you, X-Man." Taurus calmly retorted, knowing Archangel used to go by the codename Angel and was part of the X-Men that likes to ruin his schemes of world domination.

"He's not an X-Man anymore." says the mutant scientist, Mister Sinister, joining the group with his devious smile. "Neither is this one." He continues smiling as Magik, brainwashed into being the Horseman of Pestilence, joins his side in a new bleak dress covered with demonic tree-like armor.

BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-Evil Ending

Infinite. Adam Taurus. Archangel. Magik. Together, they are the latest incarnation of the Horsemen of Apocalypse that have been summoned from across time and space in Chrono World to join the Time War. Led by the Eternal Mutant himself, each Horseman has had their abilities augmented to better lead his forces into battle, though none of them are aware, or at least care, that their wills have been secretly tampered with to follow their master's dark intents with little questions.

Taurus gets his back off the wall to reply to his new teammates, "Whatever. As long as neither of you stabs me in the back. I'm only cooperating with you so I can save the Faunus from extinction."

"Our goals are similar. It is why I sought an alliance with you and the White Fang. Kang will suffer dearly for this attempt at subjugating both Mutants and Faunus across time! The best way to agonize him is by shutting down his little 'Project' to revive the Eternal Sun God." Apocalypse proclaimed maliciously. The Immortal Mutant turns to his right-hand man, Mister Sinister, with something to say, "What have you and Magik uncovered, Sinister?"

Sinister smiles, "Kang was a fool to create this Timespace Rift. It has allowed me to visit multiple realities link through here in order to unlock the secrets of the Flames of Disaster, and I believe I am close." He glances to Magik, prompting her to reveal an ancient yet mysterious book in her hand that she shows to the team.

"This is what we found in one of the dimensions. This is the Book of Infinity. Solaris exists in all dimensions, allowing beings from those realms opportunities to transcribe his mysteries in sacred texts such as this one." Magik stated.

The female Horseman hands her master the Book of Infinity for a brief study as he flips through its countless pages. Some of these ancient documents are described in an ancient language that not even Apocalypse understands but will translate later. There are a few texts that he is quick to understand, like a multiversal map, pages describing Solaris and his reincarnation, Time Eater, a page depicting his abusive sibling rivalry with the Phoenix Force, as well as a page involving two dragons, one made of light and the other made of darkness. But there are some pages that instantly piqued Apocalypse's interest, such as a page depicting the Chaos Emeralds and the golden warriors that have used their power against Solaris and his various forms in the past. One of the drawings on the page resemble that of a mobian hedgehog, and another of a costumed human spider. Apocalypse already guessed their true identities before shooting a glance at his own Chaos Emerald, thinking that all seven might prove useful in the near future.

"Does that book mention anything about Solaris's origin and goals?" Infinite asks the corrupted Queen of Limbo.

"Yes it does. It mentions, 'The Dark Light was born from the chaotic rebirth of the universe, possessing the innate desire for knowledge and order that can only be achieved by devouring existence'." Magik quoted.

"Achieving order by destroying existence?" Infinite questioned grimly.

"Ridiculous." Taurus commented, scoffing at the idea that order can only be achieved by killing everyone until only yourself remains.

As Apocalypse closes his Infinity Book, he mutters, "'The weak die out and the strong will survive, and will live on forever…' So he too lives by that ideal."

"Did you say something, master?" Archangel asked.

Apocalypse just grins, "Nothing." before facing his whole team with a mighty speech, "You have done well today, my Horsemen. We will retreat back to base to replenish our strength for the coming battles. Kang and Solaris wish to pass the old world away and forge a new one in fire and blood. The future is transforming, but they forget that I am the instrument to purify the world. The evil of human, mutant, mobian, and faunus must be cut away. You shall help me tear down the old order born from the Flames. We shall become the strongest in this War of the Strongest! Those who oppose us shall perish! From the ashes of this world, I will build a better one!" He declares confidently, walking away alongside his Horsemen towards a future that will be formed by his own two hands.

KFX Here: Cia, the Guardian of Time. Kang, the Conqueror of Time. Mephiles, the Darkness of Time. And finally Apocalypse, the Mutant that surpasses Time, has returned to join the battles of Chrono World. I do hope you folks are liking Cia's character. She's basically the "Princess Elise" of this whole saga except more useful and with a tragic backstory. Speaking of Elise, she's gonna make an appearance in the upcoming multi-parter set in Solkaria. Don't miss it!

Note: Magik's Horseman of Pestilence outfit is inspired by her "Apocalypse Event Exclusive" Costume from the defunct, Marvel Heroes MMO. Just like how Adam Taurus's Horseman of Famine outfit is inspired by his concept art from the defunct RWBY mobile game (2018).
