Iron Man: I'm Iron Man! But you already knew that. Thor's group was captured by Knuckles and Hulk's evil future twins, Enerjak and The Maestro, while hunting for a Chaos Emerald. If they wanted freedom, they were forced to compete in their little Sakaaran tournament. Thankfully Valkyrie's Warbound gave it to them early. Our friends are free, the gladiators are free, meaning we have a chance to save Sakaar. It'll be tough, 'cause we're going up against two of the strongest the Chronos Corps has to offer.

Act 2 Issue 14: The Main Event
Avengers Tower, Alien Realm. Chrono World
Amidst all the chaos that's plaguing Chrono World, it is ironically Scarlet Witch finding peace in her bedroom. Since Mephiles's destructive invasion on Solkaria, the Chaos Master has been studying hard to learn the spells that could seal away the Demon of Darkness with the Book of the Vishanti. She has gone through endless pages, glancing at countless spells, yet she hasn't found one powerful enough to seal him away. But she will. She has to. For the sake of the world and the people that died by Mephiles's hands.
Wanda does come across a section of interest, and it's regarding the Chaos Emeralds. Ancient writings and drawings depicting their chaotic nature, and their history with ancient civilizations like the Echidna Tribe, "Didn't know there is a page discussing the Chaos Emeralds. Hmm…The Emeralds can take on other powers depending on how they're treated. Good to know. Hold on…" One section about them captures her curiosity. An ancient drawing of a white-furred Mobian hedgehog surrounded by a rainbow aura, with seven larger versions of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald drawn above them all, "The Master Emerald…And the Chaos Emeralds depicted here seem different. Could this be the result of them being infused with greater chaos energy? Scary to think about. The ordinary Emeralds combined can rival Chthon's chaos, and his has threatened the universe more times than I can. I should take note of this 'Rainbow Chaos'. Perhaps tell Sonic about this since he's the most experienced using the Emeralds, to the point of experiencing side-effects. Absorbing all that chaotic energy since childhood…He may have become a living embodiment of chaos itself, like me." speculated the Chaos Witch, smiling, "Heh. Fitting. He always has been unpredictable. That trait seems to be a constant with him throughout the multiverse."

The screams of Classic Sonic echo out of the Arena right before he is sent crashing into a wall, collapsing to the ground with a body covered in wounds. Despite the condition he is in, he still has the strength to weakly smile, "I know I'm tough…but I'm no match for him like this. Don't think Hulks are supposed to be…THIS powerful…What I wouldn't give to fight a Death Egg Robot right now…"
His wounds are thanks to the terrifying power of The Maestro, with the heroes giving it everything they have against him. But to no avail. Maestro is simply too strong, too smart, for any of their attacks to have any effect. With one leaping gamma-powered punch to the ground, the resulting shockwaves knock out Yang, Ryu, and Spectrum all at once. Myrtha wants to use Lightning Buster to relentlessly slash him, only for the monster to effortlessly deflect her attempt with two swords from two other powerful female warriors, Soulsword and Godslayer, now being used to cut down Myrtha in seconds. Skaar lunges at the King's back, struggling to keep him in a chokehold for Modern Knuckles to hit him with an extremely powerful punch, but Maestro overpowers the young warlord and throws him at the echidna before the attack could reach. Even the most powerful thunder punches Thor throws could only slow him down before he is uppercutted to his defeat.
"So…this is where it ends?" said Maestro, boasting his flawless victory over the heroes that don't have enough strength to stand.
"No, Maestro…" And just in time like any superhero late to the party, Iron Man flies into the Arena in his latest Model 52 Armor, but more awesomely known as the Hulkbuster, "The real fight is just getting started."
"Iron Man!" Thor exclaimed.
"About time…Soften 'em up for ya…" coughed Knuckles, sitting on a knee with front row seats to this classic matchup.
Wasting no time, the Hulkbuster fires missiles that keep Maestro at bay for a powerful repulsor beam that is blocked by just his hand. Tony lands, properly confronting the evil version of his best friend with the fierce determination to defeat him. "Stark…All these years and still SO predictable. How many of your toys must I break before you realize your folly?" Maestro mocks his Hulkbusters for always failing to bust a Hulk.
"You must really like my toys then if you're wearing one to hide behind." Tony quips about his Iron Hulk Armor.
The fight continues with Tony throwing a leaping punch that would've done damaged if it wasn't caught, but that's okay since it gives him the opening to unleash its hidden flamethrowers to push back the Green King. The attack didn't last once Maestro swipes away the flames to grab and slam Shellhead, nearly stomping on his face if he didn't rise back up in time. Even with this new-and-improved Hulkbuster, Tony is still helplessly outmatched by Maestro's superior fighting style compared to that of his more savage counterpart. He tries to throw another powerful punch that is simply countered with a stronger blow that sends him flying across the arena. As the Avenger gets back up, Maestro rushes at him to finish the job. Big mistake, because this is the moment Tony was waiting for. He charges his Gamma Arc Reactor to full power, unleashing an all-powerful Unibeam that keeps his gamma foe at bay with additional, draining effects that are actually hurting him.
"I won't let Bruce suffer your future!" Tony declared, fighting with the determination to save his best friend from ever becoming this dark tyrant.
Maestro grunts, "What…is happening? My strength…"
The Gamma Unibeam is draining him of his gamma energy, weakening him as he struggles, but slower than what Tony hoped. He's losing power fast, and it looks like Maestro is starting to resist its effects. "Come on. Hold on just a bit longer…" Tony mumbled.
"Bruce fights the inevitable…" says Maestro, pushing through the Unibeam whilst blocking it with just one hand, "Your genius cannot conquer fate." With a dashing punch, the tyrant plows through the beam to smash Tony into a wall. He grabs his armor by the neck just to throw him away before immediately leaping after him and landing on his stomach.
Just as Maestro savagely pounds on the weakened billionaire, the Modern Bruce Banner arrives in the arena to sadly watch his best friend being beaten to death, "Tony! NO!"
Completely helpless, Tony could do nothing but lie on the ground and receive the brutal punches Maestro is giving him. Left, right, left right. His armor's head relentlessly snaps back and forth from their forces until Maestro violently rips it off, revealing Tony's unarmored bruised face.
"He's going to kill him!" exclaimed a horrified Yang, right before noticing Bruce nearby to shout at him, "BRUCE!"
Upon hearing her cries, Bruce realizes what he must do. "No. No more. This…has to stop…" To fight his fears. To save his best friend. Bruce focuses all of his unleashing anger at his future self. As the gamma scientist rushes to Maestro, he passes by Yang as his more incredible monster self.

"Time I put an end to our friendship, Tony…" said Maestro.
But before he could smash him to death, the original Hulk comes to the rescue with a surprise smash to the face knocking him down. "Hulk…SAVE!" Hulk turns to Stark, who's unconscious, but looks pretty dead to Hulk's eyes. Enough to unleash a furious, "GRAAAAAH!" before smashing Maestro a little more by his leg before hurling him way out of the arena to give chase.
"Leave some for Skaar!" shouts Skaar, following Hulk to help him defeat Maestro.
Right after the Hulks left to go on a rampage in the city, Ultimate Spider-Man arrives in the arena alongside Blake, Korg, and Miek to find their friends in various near-death conditions that they're struggling to recover from. "Oh. You all aren't looking too good." Korg commented so casually.
Nonetheless, the four rush to help their friends back on their feet, with Blake hurrying to Yang's aid. "We heard the fighting from inside the prisons. Are you okay?" The Faunus sincerely asked with a concerned expression.
"I'm okay…Someone check on Tony!" Yang ordered.
The wounded Tony struggles to drag himself out of his busted Hulkbuster, with Miles rushing to helping him, "Mr. Stark! Iron Man! Are you alright? Need me to swing you to a hospital?"
"I'm okay, kid…Not the first time I survived a Hulk pummeling." Tony weakly quipped, allowing the webslinger to help him on his feet.
"Glad you did. Had us worried there for a moment." said Ryu, approaching the billionaire alongside the others.
Tony shakes his head, "This fight isn't over…Not yet. Not until we defeat Maestro…for Bruce's sake. Even two Hulks won't be enough to stop him. He's weakened. He'll need our help to conquer his own future."
"Then enough chit-chat and let's move it to it! We have some friends to help and a monster that needs smashing!" The impatient Sonic declared with a serious look. The Blue Blur races out of the arena with his Super Peel Out, right before Tony equips himself with his standard Extremis Armor and flies off alongside their friends, all determined to put an end to Maestro's madness.
At Crown City…

The capital city has been transformed into the final battlefield between the Warbound and Maestro's forces, with the gladiators overwhelming their oppressors thanks in large part to Valkyrie's leadership. She and Wolverine fight the Sakaaran loyalists, conquering sections of the city that leads them running into their friends.
"My Prince. Thank Odin you all escaped the Arena safely." Valkyrie said.
"Have you seen where Hulk and Skaar went?" Thor asked.
"Saw them rampaging on Maestro towards his throne room. We were about to follow to assist." replied Valkyrie.
"Then let us make haste and end his reign." Thor declared.
That might be a problem, with Miles's Spider-Sense and Logan's nose warning them of something dangerous and powerful about to confront them. "We might get delayed." quipped Wolverine, having his claws ready to the enemy that's approaching.
The enemy reveals himself to be none other than Enerjak stomping into a swarm of rebels with explosive power that wipes them out with ease. "You!" Knuckles snarls at the return of his evil self.
"Did you fools REALLY try to trick me with a Fake Emerald?" asked Enerjak, revealing a fake purple Chaos Emerald in his hand that was used to lure him away from Crown City so the Warbound can make their move.
Valkyrie smirks, "You still went and fell for it, didn't you?"
Already annoyed, Enerjak crushes the fake emerald into dust while activating his Dark Aura, rushing to kill the Asgardian for daring to mock him. But to his surprise, the attack was blocked at the last second by Knuckles. The heroic echidna proceeds to tap into his lingering connection with the Black Vortex, growling as his body envelops itself in a mystical green aura that provided him the power to knock back his counterpart with tremendous force.
"This cosmic power…It's similar to what Sonic used back on Xandar." Dark Enerjak muttered, noting his Cosmic Boost that seems to heighten his connection with earth elementals.
"Leave him to me. Anyone who wants to stay, go right ahead. Everyone else, go help Hulk beat himself." ordered Knuckles, wanting to settle the score with Enerjak for good.
Those volunteering to help Knuckles are Thor, Miles, Korg, Miek, Spectrum, Ryu, and Mythra. Everyone else will be led by Valkyrie to the throne room. "Good luck, my friends. FOR SAKAAR!" exclaimed Valkyrie before leading her team away.
"Why fight your future, Knuckles? I perfected you. Turned you into the ultimate power that brought peace to the world. Isn't that your desire?" asked Enerjak, trying to tempt his counterpart into surrendering without fight.
"Heck no! Tried the whole god thing once. Didn't like it. Ended badly. Much prefer spending my days guarding the Master Emerald." quipped Knuckles, recalling his Black Vortex adventure when he did turn into an evil entity similarly to Enerjak that accidently got Hala destroyed. A day that will haunt him forever, but a day that will forever make him grateful for having friends that will bring him back to the light.
Enerjak smirks, "Guarding that hunk of rock solely on instinct, despite the Echidnas were hellbent in obtaining its power. You don't even know the identity of the rivals that led them to that fateful day. The enemy that pushed them to their limits. The Echidnas that still live to this day."
Knuckles gasps at the implication of there being survivors of his long-lost tribe, "What? You're saying there're still survivors?"
"Trapped in a Cage, in Twilight beyond any world you know. Only together we can free them." Enerjak claimed with a sinister smile.
"He speaks lies, Knuckles. Even if by some chance he speaks truth, it is not a reason to sacrifice your soul to this demon." said Thor, not wanting his friend to be tricked as he usually is in these situations.
Knuckles thinks to himself for a moment before giving everyone his decision, "…I getcha. I always have you guys to help me out in a pinch. 'Sides, don't want to give Sonic anymore material to tease me with." The heroic echidna sticks with his friends, sharing a smile with the Thunder God.
Enerjak scoffs, having failed to turn Knuckles into the dark side but it isn't enough to really upset him, "You truly are a fool. Fine. I'll be happy to finish what Perfect Chaos started: Wiping the Echidnas off the face of the planet!" He declared, this time determined to kill Knuckles.
Unknown to both parties, Omochao arrives with a Sakaaran Cameraman just in time to see them about to duke it out in an all-out match. "Looks like we made it!" said Omochao, turning to the camera broadcasting this footage worldwide, "This is it, fans! The big show! The main event! I know it is a little confusing on how we got here, but it is time for a battle to the death with Sakaar's undefeated champion! Enerjak the Chaos God! Can the Avengers break his record and free Sakaar from him and Maestro's tyranny? WHO WILL COME OUT ON TOP? Sit back, boys and girls, and get ready to be BLOWN AWAY by this epic showdown!"

BGM-Thor: Ragnarok OST-Immigrant Song (by Led Zeppelin)
With the fate of Sakaar weighing on his shoulders, Cosmic Boost Knuckles makes the first move by charging headfirst at his counterpart. Both echidnas smash their fists into each other, causing a shockwave that spreads throughout the city. They briefly clash before Dark Enerjak knocks him back, right before being yanked by Miles's webline into a flying kick from Ryu that knocks him into a thundering uppercut from Thor that sends him flying high into the sky.
"METEOR CRUSH!" shouted Knuckles.
Using the supernatural power of the earth, the Emerald Guardian make rocks fall from the sky towards the evil spirit. One meteor hits Enerjak before he obliterates the rest then uses Thunder Arrow to scatter his grounded foes with lightning bolts. Spectrum survived, flying to the sky to blast the villain into the ground for a little team attack. Spectrum, Miles, and Korg distract him from afar with various projectiles, allowing the more close-quarters fighters like Miek and Mythra to take turns landing quick strikes. Most of their attacks amount to annoying Enerjak, enraging him to quake-punch the ground that unleashes a devastatingly chaotic tornado that blows them all away at once.
Thor was the only one who wasn't knocked out by that attack. Wounded and on a knee, but still alive enough to mysteriously thrust his arm at the approaching Enerjak. "Begging for mercy already?" Enerjak mocked.
Thor simply smiles, "Only calling for an old friend."
Unknown to Enerjak, a random time rift opened in the sky, which Thor hopes will summon the weapon he needs to win. His prayers were answered in the form of Mjolnir returning from the great beyond, slamming itself in the back of a surprised Enerjak before returning to the hand of his owner. Back to full power, Thor is ready to prove who is the real god between the two. "FEEL THE THUNDER GOD'S WRATH!" Thor smashes his fist across Enerjak's face before smacking him into the air with his hammer, swiftly hurling it into his chest before its recalled for a powerful thunderbolt that decimates Enerjak with a size that can be seen throughout the Sakaar Realm.
Meanwhile at the Fortress of the Tyrant…
Hulk and Skaar's rampaging battle with Maestro rages on inside his throne room. Hulk is slammed into a wall with Maestro trying to pin him there, only for Skaar to pull him away for a beating. The green rebels work together, combining their strengths to combo Maestro into submission. It wasn't enough, as Maestro catches both their attacks, much to their surprise, then knocks them into a wall with a brutal blow. But that wasn't enough to put them down either, as they get off the wall to yell out their respective, "HULK/SKAAR SMASH!"
Suddenly, Yang appears planting several sticky grenades to Maestro's back while flipping to her friends' front. "Mind if I join the smashing?" She smirked.
The grenades explode, forcing Maestro to his knees before his face is stomped by Classic Sonic's Drop Dash. The hedgehog bounces off walls at high speeds, barraging Maestro with an endless swarm of Spin Attacks too fast for him to do anything about except enduring the annoying hits, "Let's see how good your Hulk strength can stand up to my Sonic speed!"
"Keep on the pressure!" shouts Valkyrie, leading the remains of her team to battle the tyrant.
The heroes throws everything at Maestro, bombarding him with attacks that quickly get on his nerves. He narrowly manages to jump away from another of Sonic's Spin Attack, gathering the gamma energy necessary to blow them all away with a devastating thunderclap. Blake survived, landing a fierce dive kick across his face before flipping away from his ISO-infused blasts from his gauntlets. She then tricks him into blasting a Fire Dust clone to create a smokescreen, blinding him long enough for her and Yang to use their Bumblebee combo. By the time Maestro swats away the smoke, he is knocked back by a flying punch from the Blonde Brawler. Wolverine leaps at him next to shred his armor with his claws, enraging Maestro to impale the mutant with his Soulsword swiftly before he is disarmed of that by Valkyrie.
The incredible teamwork doesn't stop there. Sonic allows himself to be used as a ball for the power trio of Hulk, Skaar, and Yang to ferociously volleyball on Maestro from a distance, before the hedgehog was smacked through a wall. But that's okay. It gave Iron Man enough time to mount his shoulder with his Proton Cannon, unleashing a massive energy beam that consumes Maestro trying to block it while blasting a massive hole through his fortress.

Smoke covers the spot where Maestro stood, making the heroes wonder if he survived. Their answer came in the form of a menacing, hulking silhouette partially illuminated by glowing green eyes of fury. "Uh oh, we made him angry. And we all experienced how strong a Hulk gets when they're angry." quips Tony, right before Maestro disperses the smoke with a furious roar, signaling to his worried enemies that he's getting serious.
Back in Crown City…
BGM-Mega Man X Command Mission OST-Fight! X
Korg and Miek found themselves alongside other gladiators fending off a swarm of Sakaaran Guards while the other heroes continue battling Dark Enerjak. The Chaos Tyrant finished pummeling Mythra, blowing her away next to a wounded Miles trying to stand back up. "Can you still fight, kid…?" She asked through her panting.
"If we have a plan…" Miles weakly quipped.
Swiftly, Mythra swaps to Pyra to reply, "I have one. Follow my lead!"
Together, Miles and Pyra set the Aegis Sword ablaze while raising it to the air, then jumping at Enerjak while Pyra shouts, "BURNING SWORD!"
But much to their horror, Enerjak caught the blade with both hands before knocking them aback. "TIME BREAK!" Enerjak slows down time on the duo, then delivers a series of punches that ends with a powerful beam that knocks them down as time returns to normal. The evil spirit rises high to the sky while conjuring a barrier to protect himself before unleashing a deadly attack. "No matter how many of you gather, your combined strength will never match that of a god's!" From his barrier launches out multiple energy spheres targeting his foes.
"You would be wise to not underestimate mortals!" retorted Thor, deflecting the spheres with his hammer.
"Any tips, Knuckles?" Spectrum asked him for a plan that might weaken Enerjak, since he is his future counterpart.
"He's like a living Chaos Emerald. Draining him of his power could beat him, as well as reflecting his own attacks." Knuckles advised.
"Not a problem for me!" Spectrum then allows herself to be blasted, only so she could absorb them for a power boost and give Enerjak a taste of his own medicine in the form of a Chaos Blast.
"WHAT?!" yelled Enerjak, really feeling the pain of his own power.
Thor whirls his hammer superfast before hurling it at the stunned tyrant, sending him flying straight into Ryu's, "Shin…SHORYUKEN!" that launches him straight to the sky.
Having enough of their persistence, Enerjak stops himself to glare down at his foes, "I have had JUST about enough of you! It's time I END this charade!" With a simple hand gesture, Enerjak uses telekinesis on nearby planetoids to have them crash onto the city in his furious attempt to kill the heroes. Civilians runs away screaming, while heroes rush to shelter to save themselves. When even that wasn't enough to kill them, Enerjak conjures up one last attack: A terrifyingly massive sphere made of chaotic dark energy that has enough power to destroy the whole city. "It's over! SUPER DARK BREAK!" He shouted before firing off the blast.
"Together, Avengers! Do NOT let that touch the ground!" ordered Thor.
He, Ryu, and Spectrum combine their powers, respectively unleashing a lightning blast, a Shinku Hadoken, and an energy beam in their only attempt to reflect the blast. Enerjak struggles to break through their power, with the heroes desperately trying to do the same. Miles and Pyra help evacuating people to safety as the beam struggle intensifies.
"Despair and surrender! You have NO hope in overcoming me!" Enerjak proclaimed.
Thor grunts, "Your might is impressive, spirit, which will also become your downfall!"
"What?!" retorted a confused Enerjak.
"Your weakness is your host! Your unlimited power, LIMITED by the imagination of your host!" Ryu stated.
Then Spectrum continues with, "And Knuckles has never been the brightest tool in the shed, but when he has a great idea…"
"I'm a force to be reckoned with!" said Knuckles, suddenly appearing behind a stunned Enerjak in the air, using this chance to finish him while his attention is divided. Reeling back his fist, the echidna invokes the sacred chant passed down through his tribe, "The serves are the seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power is enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the Chaos." Citing that is helping Knuckles to absorb Enerjak's energy, draining him of strength while powering up his heroic self for the finishing blow, "I'm taking you out with this! MAXIMUM HEAT KNUCKLES ATTACK!"
Knuckles drives his supercharged fist straight into the chest of his evil self with such force to quake whole cities, slamming him into his Super Dark Break as the heroes successfully bounce it back at him. Enerjak lets out a defying, "AAAAAAAAAAA…!" while being consumed by his own attack. The massive energy sphere explodes safely in the air, whilst causing a weakened Enerjak to crash into his own crater.

"Impossible…It cannot be…Enerjak cannot fall to…to…" panted Enerjak, before finally collapsing from his injuries.
"Apparently he can! The God of Chaos is down for the count! He's gone from champ to chump! We've got ourselves a new winner, Sakaar! THE AVENGERS!" yelled Omochao, informing all his viewers of the Realm's newest champions.
BGM-Marvel Future Revolution OST-Victory is Ours
Fans all over give their amazing applauds to the Avengers for managing to defeat the Chaos Champion. They were surprised learning their fight was recorded, but that's not stopping them from basking in the glory. At least until Thor reminds them, "Wait! It is too early to celebrate. There is left the Maestro to vanquish."
"Oh yeah. Then let's hurry, and hope our friends are doing alright." said Knuckles, racing his friends towards Maestro's throne room.

Back in the Throne Room…

Valkyrie's team are barely surviving against Maestro's full wrath after he let out his anger in the form of relentlessly striking the ground, causing it to rupture while it erupts green flames strong enough to knock down most of the heroes for some time. Tony's armor has taken severe damage. He knows another powerful hit like that will finish him. "I know Hulks are made to be tough and cranky, but something about this one isn't right…Even after all of that, even with his armor destroyed, he's still in top form." Tony grunted.
"I'm sensing a strange power from him. Could that be the reason?" Valkyrie asked him.
Checking for himself, Tony scans the Maestro for any anomalies that could help them determine a weakness to exploit. And what he found is quite interesting, "I see it. He's been using a Chaos Emerald to keep himself fully charged! We need to get it away from him and use it to finish him."
At the same time, Hulk and Maestro continue to clash. Each of them, throwing their strongest attacks in a furious attempt to defeat the other quickly. Gradually, Maestro is gaining the upper hand in this fight, pummeling Hulk with skillful blows while throwing taunts into the mix, "You're fighting against the inevitable, Hulk. I'm simply the final product of natural selection. The strong survive. I'M the strongest! Accept your fate, and you TOO will survive."
"Hulk will NEVER become you. I rather stay a monster with friends than be a tyrant that scares them away. I WILL KEEP FIGHTING FATE UNTIL IT IS SMASHED!" Hulk yelled out his defiance at his future self.
Despite his defiance, Hulk is still taken out by his more powerful counterpart. Yang tries to come to his assist by ambushing Maestro, only for him to grab her by her robot arm. "If that's the case, then I'll simply kill your friends piece by piece so you may become the tyrant you were destined to be." said Maestro, right before he savagely rips off the young huntress's robot arm.
"AAAAAAAAAAAGH!" screamed Yang in absolute pain.
"YANG!" Hulk roars to her rescue, allowing Maestro to knock them both down by ferociously throwing her at him.
Iron Man watches as Maestro is getting ready to deliver the killing blow to Yang, prompting him to work fast to create a miracle. He calls for something from afar through his armor right before blinding Maestro with a wrist rocket, delaying him from Yang for a critical moment, "Blondie, heads up!"
At that time, the thing he summoned for flies into the throne room. It's a hand of his wrecked Hulkbuster, which attaches itself to Yang's missing arm. Just as Maestro notices, Yang fiercely activates her Semblance to unleash a brutal fiery uppercut using the full power of her Hulkbuster arm to knock the green Chaos Emerald out of his possession.
"NOOO!" Maestro yelled out his anger upon losing the secret to his increased power.
"Enough, Maestro…" said Valkyrie, catching the Chaos Emerald for herself to use in this final clash, "You have proven unfit to rule this land." She dashes at him with the full power of chaos, narrowly scratching his cheek with her sword. Hulk recovers alongside Skaar, using the last of their strength to knock Maestro down so Valkyrie could, at last, deliver the fatal blow by stabbing him in the heart. "Your reign has come to its end." She declared.
Weak, and growing weaker, Maestro still has the arrogance to scoff, "Henh…Foolish child…I've only just beg…unn…" Those were his final words before collapsing in total defeat.

BGM-Sonic Rush OST-Theme of After the Fight
The Avengers have done it. Both Maestro and Enerjak have been defeated. With the danger pass, the heroes take this moment to catch their breath, well-earned after narrowly escaping death. "Wow…" casually said by Korg, suddenly revealing his appearance alongside Knuckles's team, "I really didn't think you guys were gonna pull that off. Good job."
Sonic smiles, "Korg! Knuckles! You guys here must mean…"
"Enerjak has been KOed! Sakaar is FREE!" Knuckles boasted with a victorious smile.
"Man, you guys look like crap." joked Miles, looking at how bashed and bloody his friends look.
"Looks who's talking, kid." quipped the smiling Blake, comforting the more injured Yang.
"Grab me a beer and I'll heal up just nicely…" Wolverine joked.
Meanwhile, Valkyrie hands her echidna friend their new Chaos Emerald, "Here it is, my friend. Our second Chaos Emerald."
"Thanks for giving us our grand prize. This tournament ended exactly as we hoped. Us the champs and our evil selves chumped." smiled Knuckles, sharing a friendly fist bump with Hulk.

But then out of nowhere, Knuckles is forcibly teleported away by a mysterious temporal force, much to the surprise of his friends. "KNUCKLES!" Valkyrie exclaimed.
"He just vanished." Korg commented.
"What? Where did he…?" Sonic wonders who, or what, just captured his red friend.
BGM-Mega Man Star Force 2 OST-Atmosphere of Unrest
'Hmhmhmhm…' A mysterious laugh then echoes throughout the throne room, their way of hinting to the heroes on the identity of Knuckles's kidnapper.
Hulk snarls, "I know that laugh…"
"Kang…" Iron Man revealed, "He set us up. Captured Knuckles and the Chaos Emerald while we let our guard down…and were too weak to prevent him from further developing his Solaris System."
"We must hurry to his rescue! We have already lost too many friends to that monster!" Thor approached with a serious expression.
"We will, but not in the condition we're in. Let's get some rest back at Avengers Tower and hope the others found some answers." Tony suggested.
Pyra steps up saying, "In the meantime, some of us will stay here to clean up, and prevent Sakaar from ever being conquered again."
"Good idea. I will join you." Valkyrie nodded.
"Call us if you need anything or have clues on Kang's whereabouts. We need to wrap this up soon before things can get any worse than Greenbeard sleeping down there." quipped Tony, joking about the unconscious Maestro while hoping a greater threat than him never arises in the time they have now.

KFX Here: We just lost Knuckles and a Chaos Emerald. The only ones left with Time Factors are Amazing Spider-Man and Modern Sonic. Oh no. We'll check up on them in the next chapter.
