BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite OST-Theme of Venom

"DEATH BITE!"

"GLACIER TORRENT!"

Mighty powers clash inside the training room as Agent Venom and Weiss train with each other, with the tendrils of the symbiote colliding in an explosive stalemate with the glass wave of ice pillars. As the Symbiote Soldier web-zips into the air, he fires shoulder missiles that home in on his girlfriend. The huntress race away from them with her glyphs, timing it just right to backflip over them as they hit a wall whilst summoning a Beowolf as retaliation. Venom easily pierces through the Summon with a tendril only to suddenly wince in pain and drop to a knee thanks to a small version of Weiss' Arma Gigas sneaking up to him and cut his ankle with its sword. Suddenly he is alerted to a bigger Arma Gigas about to slice him, which he swiftly dodges and disarms before using Venom Fang to swallow it whole.

But as Venom returns to his humanoid form, Weiss was quick to notice and was shock that he has slightly changed. Swallowing her Arma Gigas changed his form. Transformed him somehow. On top of his usual look, the Symbiote Soldier has become the Symbiote Knight, now wearing a cool blue, icy knightly suit of armor reminiscent of the Arma Gigas. One look at his new knight armor causes a surprised Flash to ask, "What did you do?"

"You're the one that decided to EAT IT!" retorted Weiss, quickly calming down to assess this unexpected development with a smile, "But I can see us using this to our advantage. Let's test out this combo. JARVIS, some test dummies please."

'At once, Miss Schnee.' complied the AI Butler, summoning a horde of training robots just enough to test this new "Arma Venom" combo.

Placing his hand on his gooey chest, Venom pulls out an alien sword made from his own living abyss. A sword that he recognizes despite it being blue this time, 'A Necrosword? A powerful weapon formed out of my own symbiote. Haven't been able to pull this off since I first met Merlina. Had her magic to help me create one of these without sacrificing my whole suit. But now…' The soldier glances behind to the smiling Weiss, and it's thanks to their combined power is how Flash is able to fashion his own Necrosword again.

The power of Arma Venom is truly breathtaking. Speed and power have been multiplied, with Flash capable of cleaving countless robots with a single swing of his blade in mere seconds. His defenses have also been amped up, with normal firepower bouncing off his armor like they're nothing. He even gains access to some elemental power, creating a massive icy tornado around himself after stabbing his Necrosword to the ground to outright annihilate the remaining horde with a single blow.

Weiss was left more than impressed by his display. She was left infatuated by her knight in icy symbiote armor. To think that their bond could create a powerful combo like this. It doesn't last though, as Flash returns to his normal Agent mode, exhausted while collapsing onto one knee. "Flash!" The concerned huntress hurries to check on him.

"I'm fine, just exhausted…" He said, rubbing his head while standing back up, "Between training and fighting Kang, we haven't had much time to relax."

Weiss smiles at him, "There aren't any missions available for us now. Want to grab some lunch?"

"Would love to." Flash accepted with a smile behind his mask.

Later…

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Gaia Gate

Weiss and Flash have a little date eating lunch in the kitchen. It's quiet between them as they sit across from each other, with the huntress enjoying her healthy food while her unmasked boyfriend takes some gloomy bites from a chocolate bar to fuel his symbiote. Weiss notice he's looking a little down and decides to start a conversation, "Are you doing okay, Flash?"

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that since you just lost your home and your dad?" Flash responded.

Weiss frowns briefly, with the memory of her home's destruction still fresh in her head, "Can't keep crying about the past when I should focus finding them justice. You understand. You're an Avenger now."

"Only to keep an eye on me in case I go berserk, which is completely fair. Even with their modifications, controlling the symbiote is not that easy." Flash replied.

"But you HAVE shown remarkable control over it, better than its previous owners." Weiss smiled, praising him.

The former bully smiles back, "Thanks." before answering her original question with a more solemn tone, "I am a little upset over our big loss back at Solkaria. Lost some good people back there…" He mourns the likes of Shadow, Clover, and Ironwood for a bit, "But it's war. Can't save everyone. Like you said, best we can do now is find them justice. That's my real concern. Mephiles…" He snarls out the name of that hedgehog demon, "He must be stopped, no matter the cost."

"No argument from me. The longer he's out there, the more homes and people die by his hands." Weiss scowls, angry at Mephiles for destroying her home and nearly killing her whole family.

"I want to be the one to take him out. Prove him wrong that I'm NOT destined to be a monster." said Flash, recalling Mephiles taunting him about his supposed destiny of being a villainous monster that hungers for death and destruction.

"Mephiles doesn't know what he's talking about. He just likes to get under people's skin." Weiss argued.

But Flash calmly refutes, "I know. I argued against him about that. But he's not wrong that I have the potential. You know how messed up my life is. I went from being an abused victim to a high school bully to a symbiote super-soldier hero that accidently got you kidnapped and nearly got the world destroyed in the span of a few days. I'm a recipe for disaster, when I just want to be a true hero, y'know, like you, Spidey, and the others."

"You've proven that many times before. My granddaughter from the FUTURE worships you and one of her favorite Summons is your future variant." smiled Weiss while cheering him up.

"I have a future variant?" The curious Flash immediately questioned.

"One that's evil, but that's beside the point." quipped Weiss, "Look, if someone else in my family likes you, then don't worry too much about your future."

"I dunno. The future can always change." Flash frowned, looking away from her with his hands settled on the table.

Softly, Weiss places her hands over his own to get his attention, giving him a warm smile alongside words to cheer him up. "It's a future we can change for the better forever. Always keep a strong heart and never forget the people that love you."

"I won't. Promise." smiled Flash, feeling better now.

BGM End

The lovebirds stare at each other for a bit, not noticing they're leaning close to each other. It looks like they're about to kiss, like they want to kiss, but they quickly get embarrassed before sitting back on their seats. "Um, let's finish our lunch first before doing anything else." said Weiss while blushing.

"We don't have to. I have mints." Flash quipped.

"Eugene…" glared Weiss.

"Sorry."

Elsewhere in the Tower…

"Sure this intel is right, Barton?" asked Nick Fury.

Inside the command center, the former SHIELD Director is in the middle of a video chat with Hawkeye discussing a certain event that happened recently. Cia and Modern Amy are in the room as well, listening to what Barton has to say. 'Affirmative. Visited the Island and done some investigations and we can confirm that Eggman and Ock were kidnapped by the Kree.' He informs them of the evil scientists' recent capture.

"And by extension the Chronos Corps." Fury added solemnly.

"Should've known those two would have Time Factors, and that Ronan wouldn't waste any opportunity to avenge his home planet." Amy remarks with a deadpan expression.

'What's our next orders, sir?' asked Barton.

"Locate the remaining Chaos Emeralds. Report back in the next hour." Fury ordered.

Barton nodded, 'Roger that.' before signing off.

Cia frowns, "We just lost Knuckles, now Eggman and Ock too. With the additional Time Factors, their Solaris System has grown more powerful. I can feel the Sol Power already empowering their ordinary troops."

"Know how to beat it? You're more experienced with the Sol Power than anyone else." asked Fury as he wants to develop a strategy to defeat their Solaris-powered enemies.

"I did allow Stark to take scans of my power in order to develop countermeasures." Cia answered.

"Sure he wasn't checking you out?"

"Not after I blasted him through a wall."

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Earth's Mightiest Tower

Their funny little conversation was short-lived when they receive a video call from another friend. "Incoming call from Mockingbird." said Amy before answering the call, projecting a screen displaying Mockingbird, the kickass SHIELD Agent and Hawkeye's on-and-off wife.

'Fury, are you there? This is Mockingbird.' She announced herself.

"I'm here, Morse. Just got done chatting with her husband. Report." Fury ordered.

'Reporting from the Nightopia Rift. My team and I was successful in locating Kang's mothership over Christmas Island.' Mockingbird reported.

"Yes! Finally!" exclaimed Amy while sharing an excited high-five with Cia, as both have been waiting very eagerly for someone to find Kang's ship. The sooner they find Kang, the sooner they can end his conquest on their world.

"It's about damn time. Know why he's there?" asked Fury, curious if Kang has any plans for Christmas Island.

Meanwhile at the Nightopia Realm…

Mockingbird hides somewhere in Christmas Island with a decent view of Damocles Base hovering ominously in the sky, in this vast purple void that crosses the distorted dreams of the Night Dimension with the fragmented continent that is Australia. Hiding alongside the SHIELD Agent are her teammates: Lucina, Warrior Princess from a Doomed Future. Morrigan Aensland, Sexy Succubus that feeds on dreams. And the Cosmic Ghost Rider, Spirit of Vengeance that brings cosmic punishment across the universe.

"No clue. But my sources keep saying he's getting ready to mobilize his own personal army." Mockingbird said, responding to her boss's question.

'We're already hopelessly outnumbered. Our forces are BARELY holding out against his allies' armies and the other third parties that just want to cause trouble. The sooner we take the fight to Kang the better.' Fury replied.

"What do you want us to do?" asked Morse.

'Get me a quantum scan of his ship. At least it'll help us keep an eye on his movements.' Fury ordered.

"Understood." The Avenging Agent brings out a portable device capable of scanning even the most alien of technology and begins using it to scan Damocles. "The rest of you be on lookout. Hate it when I'm ambushed while trying to sabotage their plans." She joked, whilst ordering her teammates.

"Yes ma'am." Lucina complies to her given task.

"Why waste our time? Ship's right there. Let's just go in guns blazing and end this." Rider stoically suggested, speaking like a true cosmic demon.

"You never change, Castle, even in a doomed future where you somehow gained cosmic ghost fire powers." quipped Mockingbird, revealing this Ghost Rider is really Frank Castle, "The split-SECOND we go in guns blazing we're DEAD, and that's when we're not close enough to get inside."

"Newsflash: I'm already dead. The rest of you are liabilities." Rider quipped.

"You want to be deader? No means no."

Morrigan flies to give a flirtatious hug to Rider saying, "I promise not to slow you down." The flirty succubus winks, trying to seduce him since it's her thing but he easily resists, walking away in annoyance only to be further annoyed when he's blocked by her clone. "We BOTH promise." The copy claimed, giggling alongside the original that gets Rider to leave them disappointed.

"Can you two stop playing games? ALL our futures are at stake if we are not careful." said Lucina, being annoyed by her demonic friends' antics. The Princess turns to Mockingbird for, "What is the progress, Mockingbird?"

"Just about done." said the SHIELD Agent, having just finished gathering data on Damocles and puts the device back in her belt pocket, "Alright, let's get outta here."

BGM End

The team turns to walk away successful in their mission, ready to hand their data to the Avengers. Assuming nothing stops them. But of course, something does. As they walk, a strange dark red blur circles around them, entrapping the group within a vortex of twinkle dust.

"What's this? Morrigan, what are you doing?" asked a surprised Mockingbird while trying to find an exit.

"This isn't me!" Morrigan retorted, right before the team is swallowed whole by a dark portal.

Back at Avengers Tower…

BGM-Nights: Journey of Dreams OST- Reala Returns

"Mockingbird! Mockingbird, come in! Lucina! ANYONE RESPOND!" shouted Amy, desperately trying to contact her now-missing friends and to no avail. She worriedly turns back to Fury and Cia, "No good! We've lost complete contact!"

"Along with the data! Just our luck! Did Kang notice them?" Fury wondered, furious they lost vital data on Kang's ship.

Suddenly something eerie hacks their communications. Projecting themselves into their screen is a dark red jester that obviously looks evil even if they weren't wearing a golden mask, giving the trio an insidious grin. 'Greetings. The "Avengers", I presume?' The Wicked Jester inquired.

"Who's asking?" asked a glaring Fury.

"Reala…Chief Nightmaren enforcer for the Lord of Nightmares." Cia stated with a serious tone, well knowledgeable of this villain considering her role as the Guardian of History.

The identified Reala mockingly gives her a bow through the screen, 'I see my reputation precedes me even outside the Nightmare Zone.'

"Take it you're the one who kidnapped my team. What do you want from us, Reala?" Fury demanded, realizing the Nightmaren was the one responsible for kidnapping Mockingbird's team.

'A bargain. Some lives for their lives. Hand me the ones called Spider-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog and I'll return you my captives safe and sound.' Reala bargained.

"What makes them so special?" asked Fury, playing dumb as he has a good idea on why Reala wants the duo.

Reala angrily utters, 'Don't play dumb. I know they're the ones holding the remaining Time Factor. Bring them to me or else.'

"And if we refuse?" Fury retorted.

'I see you still need another hour to consider my deal. Fail to make the deadline and I'll make certain your friends never wake to see the light again.' Reala threatened them before signing off.

"We're not just going to hand them over to that creep?" asked Amy, refusing Reala's offer to sacrifice friends for friends.

"Absolutely not, but we can't leave Mockingbird's team to die. Not when they have valuable data on Kang." Fury replied, remaining calmly composed while thinking of a plan to save their friends from Reala's clutches.

Luckily, an idea was formed the moment Agent Venom and Weiss enter the room. "Colonel Fury. Is something the matter, sir?" asked Flash.

Turning to the lovebirds, Fury smiles, "Thompson. Schnee. Great timing. I want you to assemble a team for me right away. There is work to be done." He said, which was vague enough to adorably confuse them.

Dream Gate, Nightopia Realm

BGM-Nights: Journey of Dreams OST-When the Night Falls

"Chao chao." said the happy magic chao, Punzel, having fun racing through the sky with Wasp.

They, alongside Young Salem, Cable, and Sticks were chosen by Agent Venom and Weiss to be part of their rescue team to save Mockingbird from Reala's clutches. With little intel to go off on, the crew were instructed to begin their search at the Dream Gate, a large floating island to find someone that could help them.

Punzel returns to her owner's side after its fun with Wasp. "Did you have your fun with the Avenger?" asked Salem, being all adorable to her child.

"Chao chao!" Punzel smiled happily.

Wasp joins them, returning to her normal size to smile, "Your Chao is so cute. You know I have the most adorable dress for that she can try."

"I would like to see it once this is over." Salem replied.

"Sure. Maybe after I start raising my own Chao. Name her Hope." Wasp said.

"Heh. We could really use one these days." quipped Salem through a smile.

Leading the group is Venom and Cable, with the latter asking, "Know anything about the person we're sent to meet?"

"Nothing from personal experience. Only know what Cia told us, that they're the resident hero of this place and have fought Reala and his 'Nightmarens' to prevent them from conquering the dream world then real world. They're our best bet in finding Mockingbird." Venom replied, revealing their brief knowledge of the local, yet iconic hero.

The group walked to the center of a courtyard, standing around a fountain with Cable glancing for any sign of their mystery escort, "Assuming they aren't late. Cia got in contact with them, right? They should be here already."

Suddenly, they all hear someone playing a lovely melody with their flute but can't find the person playing it. "Who's playing that? Sounds dreamy." said Sticks. The Badger looks up to find the flute player, who happens to be a purple jester that greatly resembles Reala without a mask. They seem to be minding their own business in the sky, playing on a flute that looks quite nonexistent. "Hey, is it from you, boy?! Girl? It…? Can't tell from down here." Sticks is left scratching her head, unsure if the Jester is a boy or girl.

"Excuse me! Are you the one called NiGHTS?" Venom shouted for their attention.

BGM-NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams OST-Encounter

NiGHTS, the Protector of Nightopia, heard his call and flies down to personally meet the heroes. "Hey. Now this one looks interesting. Never met a Nightmaren dualize with a Visitor like this before." They said to Venom.

Confused, Venom remarks, "Nightmaren? Wait, you're talking about my symbiote. Guess you can say we're 'dualized', just not in a very fun way."

"Sure? It seems to be having fun with you." Nights grinned.

"If you consider going on a monstrous rampage 'fun'."

"A little."

"Enough joking around!" exclaimed the impatient Weiss, interjecting to converse with the heroic Nightmaren, "You're Nights, aren't you? We're the Avengers. We called upon this meeting because we were informed you can help us find our friends."

Casually relaxing in midair, Nights says, "Sounded boring until I heard Reala was acting up again. That guy never learns no matter how many times I embarrass him and his boss."

"Can you help us? The fate of the world is at stake." Wasp pleads for his assistance.

Nights smilingly winks, "The perfect excuse to have some fun! I'll be happy to help find your friends." They announced, much to her new friends' happiness. The Jester dashes back a bit, circling the air really fast until her own twinkle dust opens a portal to an unknown location, "One Paraloop to find friends coming right up! Don't fall behind!" They taunted their friends before flying straight into the portal.

"HEY! Wait for us!" shouted Flash, rushing alongside his team to catch up with their new mischievous friend through the portal before it closes.

Spring Valley

BGM-NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams OST-Eloquent Echo

A portal opens high above a windy mountains region rich in water and vegetation that Nights flies out of, with their new friends following suit until they fall screaming to their doom since most of them can't fly. Cable and Venom were able to land safely, with the latter catching Weiss with his arms then using his tendrils to catch Sticks and Salem, gently putting them down next to Wasp and Punzel greeting them on the ground.

"Way to stick the landing, guys." said Nights, giving them a thumbs up.

"YOU NEARLY HAD US KILLED!" Weiss angrily scolds them for not setting a portal closer to the ground.

"Oh I knew you guys would be fine." Nights quipped, being very casual about their safety.

Salem and Punzel take a moment to walk around this field, finding herself amazed by this beautiful zone she has only dreamed to visit one day. "This world is so beautiful. So lush with vegetation." A breeze then hits her, but it was very calm and soothing to feel, "And the breeze. So strong, yet peaceful. This is the ideal world I've longed to visit since my days trapped in that Tower." smiled the Light Maiden.

Nights joins her side smiling, "This dream world has always been one of my favorites." But then frowns, "Not until recently."

BGM End

"Why's that?" asked Salem.

"Because of those jerks." Nights directed the group to a Nightmaren Horde that have conquered this area, "Ever since we were dragged into Chrono World, the barrier between dreams and reality have weakened, making it easier for the Nightmarens to conquer this place. Bet good money this is where your friends are locked up."

"You're right. I can sense them. Over there." Cable points to three magical cages in the distance, each one imprisoning Cosmic Ghost Rider, Lucina, and Mockingbird and each guarded by several Nightmarens, "They're imprisoned in those cages."

"Take it from me, it won't be easy to free them without the keys." Nights speaks from personal experience, having been imprisoned in those cages numerous times in the past.

"Where can we find them?" Cable asked.

Nights smirkingly points her thumb at three grinning imp-like Nightmarens nearby. They're called Goodles, and they're the ones in charge of guarding the key to the cages. Their little pilots were on break, allowing their mounts to eat food in peaceful until they were rudely interrupted by Nights calling them out, "HEY BIRDBRAINS!" The surprised Goodles turn to Nights as they continue taunting them, "Remember me? You should know how this goes. Hand over your keys to save your feathers from being plucked."

BGM-NiGHTS into Dreams OST-Paternal Horn

Never in the mood to fight Nights, the Goodles hurry their pilots to climb aboard and fly away from the heroes at terrified speeds. "Playing hard to get as usual." joked Nights, "Anyone with speed help me catch them! The rest go take out the guards!" They ordered before flying away to pursue the Goodles.

Agent Venom and Wasp decide to join the jester, with the others hurrying to secure the cages for themselves. Many Nightmarens from the iconic Shleeps to the terrifying Scaropions fend them off to protect their captives, and hold them off for brief moments until they were overpowered. Punzel stuns its enemies, allowing Salem to conjure a glowing sigil beneath them to annihilate them and secure Rider's cage. Sticks and Cable cover each other's backs, defeating Nightmarens with boomerang throws and rifle blasts while protecting Mockingbird's cage. Weiss leaps into the air to plunge her rapier down in a punishing blow, blowing away monsters with a burst of energy to save Lucina's cage.

"Weiss!" The Princess calls her out.

"We'll get you out, Lucina. Just hold on." said Weiss before fighting off more monsters.

Meanwhile, it's a high-speed chase for the Goodles as Nights' group split up to catch them. Nights catches up to the blue one, using a Paraloop to destroy it and take its key. The tiny Wasp sneaks up a pink one, blasting it until it collapses and gives up the second key. Finally, Agent Venom knocks out both the green Goodle and its pilot with a hefty Web-Strike that flings the final key out of their possession and webbed into his hand.

"Got all three keys!" announced Flash.

"You guys are a natural catching Goodles." Nights smiled, quickly being impressed by the Avengers' skills.

BGM End

With the keys in their possession, their captured friends are finally free from captivity. They jump off their respective cages, reuniting with the friends that risked their lives to save them. "Thanks for the save. We were in the middle of trying to find a way outta there." said Mockingbird.

"Don't mention it. We're just glad you're safe." Venom said to his former commanding officer when he used to work for SHIELD.

Morse smiles at him, "You seem to have a tighter leash on your symbiote. Been bothering you lately?" She asked, showing her concern for her fellow agent.

"Here and there." quipped Flash.

"You still have the data on Kang's ship?" Cable approached Mockingbird with that question.

"Yeah, but it'll do us no good if we don't get back to the Tower." Mockingbird replied.

"By the way, where's Morrigan? Wasn't she captured?" asked Cable, noticing that the succubus is still missing.

"She was, but managed to escape before she was placed in a cage. Do not know why she did not come back to save us. Probably went to defeat the man that captured us, believing that will free us." answered Lucina.

"Morrigan typically likes to follow her own rules, tends to get her into trouble." Cable proclaimed.

"Like our new friend here." quipped Wasp while pointing to Nights waving adorably at the rescued heroes.

"Aren't you related to the clown that captured us?" Rider interrogated, already weary and wants to shoot them if they're a spy.

"Yes but we've become estranged." Nights quipped.

Flash takes charge as he says, "We need to find Morrigan and stop Reala. He's after Spidey and Sonic's Time Factor, but we're unsure if he's working for Kang or not." He turns to Nights, "Know where we can find 'em?"

Nights nods, "Just follow me. But I should warn you, where we're headed is no sweet dream. We'll never wake up if we don't defeat the madmen that rules the nightmare."

"We're prepared for anything. Let's move out!" ordered Venom, venturing alongside his friends as they follow Nights to the true Nightmare that dwells within this Realm.

Avengers Tower, Alien Realm

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-The Base

"Man I understand, but it doesn't mean it sucks. Everyone else is having fun in time-crossing adventures while we're under house arrest."

Modern Sonic happens to be the one complaining about being stuck in Avengers Tower, for the safety of himself and his Time Factor. He paces around the infirmary to try and keep himself from getting bored with little success, hanging out with the unmasked Amazing Spider-Man and Yang, who is on bed still healing from her recent battle with Maestro.

"Look up the term liability. That's the exact reason why we're stuck here." quipped Peter.

"Like Kang will ever catch me." Sonic retorted with his usual ego.

"Run around the Tower if you're bored."

"I did 30 times under a minute. Still bored."

"Never cease to impress." quipped Yang, knowing the Tower is over 90 stories tall. She turns to her husband, "Is that the reason you two are off duty?"

Peter answers, "For now. Everyone and their time-displaced grandmother from another dimension are really after our Time Factors. Until we can find a way to take 'em out or defeat Kang, we're sealed here by Cia's magic to prevent us from being snatched through spacetime."

"That's okay with you?" questioned Yang.

"Miles and the others can cover for me. Don't mind taking a little work vacation. Gives me the chance to remind everyone how smart I am by building them new tech. And rebuild your arm, of course." He quipped, pointing to her missing limb after it was also destroyed by Maestro's hands.

Yang glances a frown at her missing arm, saying, "Make it extra sturdy. Add me an armored suit that won't be easily trashed by an evil Hulk from the future."

"That'll come in handy." Peter punned.

"Ha ha, funny." Yang sassed with sarcasm, before the webhead gives her a kiss to the cheek as he's ready to leave.

"We'll see ya later, Yang…" Sonic said before yawning, "Trapped in our own home isn't soundin' like a bad idea anymore. Been fighting for days and haven't had time for some shut-eye…"

Peter lets out a loud yawn, "I hear ya…Get some rest, honey." He advises her before putting back on his mask, sharing waves of goodbyes before he and Sonic exit the infirmary.

BGM-Dragon Ball Xenoverse OST-Cutscene: "Alternate Age"

Things get quiet in the Tower. Too quiet. Especially in the separate rooms Sonic and Spidey are in. The Blue Hedgehog sleeps peacefully next to a window with nothing to disturb him, for he is in a deep sleep simply dreaming of himself running through Green Hill. Unbeknownst to the sleeping hero, a portal to his dream somehow manifest above his head. The light of the portal turns dark, transforming the dream into a nightmare that seamlessly conjures a large metallic floating hand with an eyeball. The evil hand then grabs Sonic while he's asleep as he pulls him into his own nightmare portal as it closes.

The same nightmarish phenomenon happens to Peter. He was alone in the lab working on a new cybernetic arm for Yang until fatigue caught up with him and he fell asleep on the table. His dream portal soon manifested, displaying him having the perfect life as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. That dream also shifts into a nightmare, conjuring the same demonic hand that's ready to capture him like it did Sonic. His Spider-Sense tries to warn him, but he simply brushes it off in his sleep right before he is grabbed. As the Webslinger is dragged into the portal, a mysterious evil laugh is heard emitting from it, "Ha ha ha ha ha." before vanishing ominously alongside Spider-Man.

The Nightmare Zone, Nightopia Realm

Meanwhile with Venom's team, they have ventured into the dark side of Nightopia. The Nightmare Zone. Everything here is dark with decorations that are both creepy and demonic, enough to scare Punzel to hide in the comfort of Salem's arms.

Weiss shivers while glancing at this daunting Zone, "This place is giving me the worst creeps."

"Stay close to me if you're scared." said Venom, holding up his pistol while threading carefully.

"Rather not have your symbiote stick to me if it gets spooked." Weiss quipped.

"Too bad there're no fires or sounds nearby to get this worst nightmare off of me." Flash snarked while maintaining his serious demeanor.

Nights then flies next to the soldier, "You REALLY aren't the biggest fan of this symbiote thing, are you?"

"It's complicated. Have to maintain constant mental discipline, lest I want it to seize control of my body and dominate me forever. Using me to hurt the people I love…" Flash replied solemnly, constantly fearing the day he loses control of his suit.

"That would be interesting to see." Nights quipped.

"Why? Do you WANT me to kill you?" retorted Venom, starting to be a little angry at their non-caring attitude.

"No. I'm just saying it would be near-impossible for you to lose control. Completely I mean." Nights replied, calming him down.

"What makes you say that?" Flash questioned them curiously.

"Not a lot of Visitors have a strong red light like yours. One brimming with Courage that would be a headache to steal or corrupt. Trust me and in yourself that you'll be fine." said the smiling Nights, having complete faith in Flash to never lose control of his symbiote.

Flash takes a silent second to absorb their sincere words of wisdom, wondering if he truly does have the courage to control his suit. Regardless, he nods to them, "We'll see. Thanks for the advice. Now, let's focus in finding Morrigan."

That wouldn't be an issue, because right on cue, a massive explosion ahead instantly captures their attention. "Found her." Sticks casually pointed out.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Competitive Battle

High in the dark skies is Morrigan in the middle of an intense brawl with Reala as she fires a Soul Fist that nearly knocks him out of the sky before he swiftly recovers. The succubus quickly shifts tactics and uses Finishing Shower to fire a hail of missiles at Reala. The dark jester narrowly flies away from most of the missiles before Paralooping the remaining ones to reflect back at Morrigan, flinging her to the ground where she unexpectedly reunites with her friends.

"Morrigan! Are you alright?" asked Mockingbird.

"Fine. Guess I didn't have to worry 'bout you guys escaping after all." Morrigan smiled, glad to see her friends are safe and sound.

Nights steps forward with a stern scowl, standing in front of their new friends to confront their arch-rival. "Reala!" They exclaimed.

"Oh, Nights. Here to bother me with your insolence again?" Reala taunted his sibling.

"I'm here to stop you from conquering Nightopia!" Nights retorted.

"Stop me?" Reala mocks them with devious laughter before telling them, "You naïve little child. You are already too late!" He said while snapping his fingers to conjure something to rise from the ground. Two magical cages, with one entrapping the unconscious Spider-Man and the other entrapping the unconscious Sonic the Hedgehog.

"SONIC!" A surprised Sticks exclaimed.

"SPIDER-MAN!" shouted a shocked Agent Venom.

"Let them GO, Reala!" Nights demanded, but they both know it was in vain.

"Why should I? Your new friends violated the rules of our bargain. This is just me being fair." claimed Reala, being the sneaky rat that always gets under Nights' skin. "Kang shall soon bend the knee to Master Wizeman. Once we take these two's Time Factors, ALL of Chrono World will succumb to the Nightmare! To demonstrate. BEHOLD our latest creation, born from the Avengers' worst nightmare." He gestures to the heroes, "Come on out, Mad Titan!"

From a dark portal on the ground rises the most menacing nightmare that have ever haunted Earth's Mightiest Heroes. It is the Mad Titan, Thanos, but a copy colored a nightmarish black-and-white with red eyes and powers remarkably similar to the original.

The heroes are taken aback by this terrifying foe, with Sticks joking, "He doesn't look friendly."

"You have NO idea." quipped Wasp, shrinking herself for this upcoming battle.

"Good! Been meaning to gun down this nightmare for years!" said Cosmic Ghost Rider. The cosmic spirit wastes no time channeling his hellfire through his chains and blasters to rip and tear at Nightmare Thanos before blasting him away. He rushes blindly to deliver him more punishment, only this time Thanos was ready to counter. The Nightmare Titan grabs Rider before he could attack then pummels him to the ground, knocking him out before firing a powerful explosive blast that hits the other heroes.

Reala smiles, "HA! To think that anyone but Wizeman could rule this new world! Ridiculous!"

"Reala, YOU'RE the one being ridiculous!" shouted Nights from the within the smokescreen. Both they and Morrigan survived the attack, alongside the others, as they rush to assault Reala together, "We should fight against Kang together!"

With those two giving Reala a hard time, the others begin pressuring Nightmare Thanos with coordinate attacks. First its leaping web shots from Agent Venom to distract him from being hit across the face by Sticks' boomerang. Lucina then swiftly rush in to strike him once before being kicked away, right before Venom returns with a Web-Strike to stun him for rapidfire shots from Cable. The bullets were easily blocked but effective in annoying the silent Titan. Right before the heroes could strike together, he scatters them across the battlefield with a single cosmic punch to the ground. Thanos approaches the downed Venom, who tries to kick him but only allowed himself to be caught by the leg then brutally slammed to the ground. The Titan attempts to kick down Salem but was blocked by her barrier using too much energy to the point of exhaustion, right as Thanos turns to repel the leaping Mockingbird with a simple slap.

Reala isn't having the same luck with his opponents. Morrigan and Nights quickly prove to be a formidable duo, with the Nightopian Hero forcing their rival to dodge a giant thrown ball only to be blasted across the skies by the Succubus's Soul Eraser cannon. The Dark Jester begins panting, growing annoyed at the thought of losing to such worms.

'You're embarrassing me. As per usual, Reala.' said a telepathic voice so imposing and dominating that it frightens Reala deep to his core.

'Master Wizeman!' Reala responded telepathically to his master.

'Do not forget that my Titan is linked to you. It is invincible unless you happen to fail me.' Wizeman revealed the weakness to defeat Nightmare Thanos, which is to simply defeat Reala himself.

'I will not! Just give me a little more time!' Reala pleaded.

'I shall not risk overthrowing Kang on your proven incompetence. It is time I take matters to my own hands. And I know just the perfect slave…' said Wizeman, ready to hatch his secret backup plan to defeat the heroes.

With Agent Venom, he is still recovering from his earlier trashing with Thanos. As he struggles to get back on his feet, that same eyeball hand that captured Sonic and Spidey reappears to ambush him with a brutal grab that's an intense struggle to resist, "What the hell…?"

'Such darkness within you…You will make for my most powerful weapon yet.' said Wizeman.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-A Fierce Battle for Death

The Nightmare God begins cursing Venom with a dark energy that instantly corrupts him inside out, "GOOOOOAAAAARRRRGH…!" The Symbiote Soldier roars out in absolute pain as he loses control of himself. His body morphs into a more monstrous form as he burst himself free with malevolent energy that quickly captures everyone's surprised attention.

"FLAAAASH!" Weiss cries out his name.

"Wizeman! What have you DONE?!" Nights expressed his angry at their creator for corrupting their new friend.

Having gone totally berserk, the newly-empowered Berserk Venom rushes at his nearest prey, which unfortunately happens to be his girlfriend Weiss, "Flash, snap out of it! I know you can hear me in there! Regain control before you lose it completely!" Her words fall on deaf ears, but thankfully her acrobatic maneuvers can easily dodge his flailing. Because of his berserk state, Venom's fighting style is less experienced and more primal, opting to claw and grab at Weiss instead of using any focused punches or gun shots. She manages to deflect one of his blows with a glyph but it only stopped him for a brief moment to growl before continuing to rush her roaring like an uncontrollable beast. After she flips away from another of his primal strikes, Venom unleashes a savage Death Bite that was narrowly avoided but still managed to scathe her leg thus tripping her.

Weiss struggles to get back on her feet as Berserk Venom looms over her with his demonic presence. He looks at her dead in the eye feeling conflict, hesitating to deliver the killing blow. The huntress notices this and realizes that at this juncture, only her words can soothe her savage boyfriend, "Listen to me! Wizeman is messing with your mind! You're stronger than him, you're smarter than him! You're Flash Thompson! Remember our bond! Your HEART! The courage to become a true hero!"

Venom doesn't seem to care about her words. He just growls and snarls as he reels back his fist, ready to end her life. But before he goes through with it, Weiss has one last thing to say with sincerity calming her eyes, "I believe in you."

"GRAAAAAAAH!" yells Venom as he unleashes his deadly attack.

Weiss closes her eyes to brace herself for the attack. And yet. The attack connected, but not on her. As she opens her eyes, she was shocked to see his punch smashing the ground right next to her. "Flash…?" She wonders if he regained control of himself.

"We…are Venom…" He finally speaks some words while still in his Berserk state. He gets up and turns around, focusing his glares and growls at Nightmare Thanos instead, "NO ONE…! CONTROLS! VENOOOOOOOM!" He roared out his rage at the Nightmarens that dared to control him.

BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite OST-Theme of Venom

With some control over himself again, Flash rushes at Thanos while flailing his symbiote tentacles to hurt him before blowing him away with a final burst. "Impossible! He's resisting Wizeman's curse?!" exclaimed Reala, horrified to see a simple mortal rejecting his God.

"Amazing! I knew you had it in you, Venom!" Nights smiled, having always believed in Flash's potential.

The fight between Venom and Thanos was brutal yet brief. The raging symbiote kept pummeling on the nightmare until he had enough, gathering energy in his right hand before releasing it as an explosive punch that knocks back Venom, yet that single blow was just enough to completely purify him of Wizeman's influence.

"Flash!" Weiss cries out while rushing to his aid, "Thank goodness. Getting hit with a strong attack was enough to return you to normal. How're you feeling?" She asked while softly touching his face.

"Okay…" Flash panted, grabbing her hand in kindness, "Thanks for believing in me." He said, as she helps him stand back up, "Alright, time we end this nightmare. Let's use that new combo."

"The one we accidently developed only once?"

"Yup."

BGM-NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams OST-NiGHTS and Reala

Weiss smirks, "Fine by me." as she swiftly conjures up a glyph that summons an Arma Gigas for her boyfriend to absorb via Venom Fang.

The combo works and empowers Agent Venom once more, outfitting him with knightly armor and his Necrosword. "BOOYAAAAAH! THIS is an upgrade, Wizeman! You and your nightmares are 'bout to be CRUSHED by ARMA VENOM! Let's get 'em, Avengers!" He roars out.

'You are the second to escape my control. You and Nights will be punished for your insolence!' Wizeman telepathically threatens them, forcing his Nightmare Thanos to prepare for the final clash.

Arma Venom rushes at Thanos again but this time doesn't make a move until he makes a move, which is the Titan throwing a punch that is perfectly blocked by his symbiote shield. The Space Knight musters the strength to repel the nightmare, swiftly pummeling him with a flurry of powerful sword swings before being grabbed and thrown aside. But right after that, both Wasp and Salem distract him with blasts from afar so Weiss could go in landing a strike of her own before being punched away. Still the heroes don't give up and continue with their coordinate attacks. By combining the Power Cosmic with the Spirit of Vengeance, Cosmic Ghost Rider summons his Hell Cycle before trying to unleash all his power on his victim. He failed, but it left an opening for Venom to exploit, allowing the Symbiote Knight to deliver a full-powered Web-Strike uppercut that smashes him through structures, leaving him dazed just a bit so the heroes could really overwhelm him from all angles.

The tables have truly turned and the heroes are winning against both Thanos and Reala, the latter still struggling to hold his own against the fierce combo of Nights and Morrigan. The jester twins clash at high speeds all over the sky until Reala uses a Paraloop to pull his sibling to a cruel kick across the face, sending him flying. Morrigan goes in for an attack but is countered, with the returning Nights' Drill Dash being repelled as well. That little moment inbetween left him wide open to Morrigan's Darkness Illusion technique as she and a copy of herself beat him down with a flurry of kicks and shapeshifting-wing strikes until he's weakened enough for the finishing blow.

"You've been very naughty." taunted Morrigan, before ultimately kicking Reala down towards Nights.

"It's time to put you on timeout." quipped Nights, paralooping a portal open that'll swallow their sibling to defeat.

"NOOOOOOO!" yelled out Reala, powerless to do anything but be trapped in the Paraloop, finally defeating him.

BGM End

The moment Reala was defeated, a bright light emits consuming the Zone and everyone in it. In a flash, the heroes, as well as the unconscious Sonic and Spider-Man, are back at Dream Gate, having successfully escaped the clutches of Wizeman.

BGM-NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams OST-When the Night Falls

"We're back here? What happened to Reala, and Thanos?" asked Agent Venom, seamlessly losing his Arma Mode.

"Trapped Reala in a special Paraloop of mine. That did away his little minion while breaking us out of Wizeman's domain. Truly spectacular, if I do say so myself." Nights quipped with a joyful smile.

"You mean we should've just ganged up on Reala instead of letting Thanos nearly beat us to death?" Sticks angrily scolds the jester for not telling them of that faster method to win.

"We needed a distraction. You guys were perfect." Nights quipped.

Yelling crazily, Sticks really wants to go and beat some sense into Nights but Cable humorously stops her before she could make a step, much to Nights' amusement as they laugh at her. Mockingbird ignores Sticks managing to chase the fun-loving jester as she approaches Agent Venom with some compliments to give to him. "You showed some real restraint back there. Good job. You really have a hang on that thing, do you?" She smiled.

Flash unmasks himself to smile, "More or less. Always have to remember to believe in the people that believe in me."

"Got that right. Just never scare me like that again." quipped Weiss while approaching her boyfriend.

"Promise." smiled Flash, before the couple finally embrace with that kiss they were a little embarrassed to have earlier.

"Ughhhhh…"

The sounds of groaning were heard by the party as they turn to see both Spider-Man and Sonic waking up. "Spider-Man! Sonic! Are you two alright?" asked a concerned Lucina, as she hurries to help Peter on his feet.

"Fine, I guess…" said Peter, rubbing his tired eyes in order to glance at his unfamiliar surroundings saying, "Wha…How did I get here? Please tell me I wasn't sleep-swinging?"

"Yaaaaawwww…" yawned Sonic as he stands awake, "Man, that was some snooze. Had this crazy dream that I was kidnapped by a giant hand with an eyeball."

"What a coincidence, except it felt more like a nightmare than some dream." snarked Peter, with them both completely unaware they were kidnapped by Wizeman.

"Understatement of the year." Nights quipped, earning their attention.

Spider-Man is obviously confused as he has no idea who the Nightmaren that saved them is, but Sonic seems to recognize them right away. "Nights? Long time no see! So you were dragged into this world too?" The happy hedgehog asked.

"Yup. Been having fun playing with my new playmates that want to destroy everything." quipped Nights while having a casual conversation with the Blue Blur.

"You two know each other?" The surprised Weiss asked the hedgehog.

"Oh we go way back. Always had fun playing pinball and racing together." Sonic smiled, revealing his long-time friendship with Nights.

"And that one time in tennis." Nights added.

"Yup."

"You know a LOT of weird people." Mockingbird joked at the hedgehog.

But then all of a sudden, Sonic and Spider-Man are forcibly teleported away by the same mysterious force that captured Knuckles. The heroes were left baffled by their sudden disappearance, with Mockingbird exclaiming, "What the?! Where did they go?!"

"You don't want to know."

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Prison Planet

That mystery voice is swiftly revealed to be Kang's, casually hovering above the heroes on his Time Chair. Wasting no words, Sticks hurls her boomerang only for it to be pathetically repelled by his barrier. And just before everyone could gang up on him, the Conqueror freezes them in time so he may have time to gloat. "Cia really likes to be a pain. Her magic made it difficult to capture those two fools from the Tower. Thankfully I simply had to wait until someone got the bright idea to capture them for themselves so I can capture them." He gloated, as Sticks' boomerang returns just to hit and annoy the frozen Weiss, "And now the Time Factor is complete and I am one step closer in finishing the Solaris Project. So, bravo, you few and Wizeman proved to be the best puppets a Conqueror could manipulate."

The devious Kang finished mocking them before vanishing from their sights, right as time resumes for them so Agent Venom could angrily yell out, "RAAAAAAGH!"

"COWARD! BRING OUR FRIENDS BACK!" Nights angrily yelled out to the sky.

"We JUST saved them. Now they're gone again…" Weiss lowers her head, glooming over the loss of her two best friends.

Wasp comforts the huntress with a hug, "We'll save them. I promise." She turns to Mockingbird, "Right, Bobbi?"

"Yeah." Bobbi responded, "Avengers Assemble! As in hurry your asses and head back to Avengers Tower! We have friends to save and a Conqueror to beat up." She ordered sternly, leading the team back to the Tower with vital intel that could help them bring this war to an end soon.

KFX Here: Maybe one day I'll do a true crossover story with NiGHTS that isn't limited to a single chapter. This is the best I have right now. We are approaching the final chapters of Act 2. Two more Realms to visit before things get more intense than they already are.
