We managed to shut down his assault, at the cost of my company. I'll rebuild it, but not now. There're still two more Nexus of Knowledge Kang's interested in. Whatever they are, we'll make certain he won't have them.

Act 3 Issue 3: A Cosmic Harvest

Avengers Tower, Alien Realm. Chrono World

The Chronos Corps continue to spread chaos across Chrono World. One by one cities fall before his might, and it won't be long until he has conquered everything. The Avengers Alliance still haven't given up and continue to resist while simultaneously pinpoint the other two Nexus of Knowledge he has taken interest in.

While alone in a room, Cia uses her magic to project the entire Timespace Rift they are fighting for control over to help her deduce Kang's next plan of attack. 'Kang may have suffered a setback trying to assimilate the Stark Network, but it won't be long until he attempts for the other two Nexus of Knowledge: One of Cosmic and one of Magic. Gotta work fast while we maintain an advantage. With every passing hour, he conquers several cities. It's my duty as Guardian of Time to correct this historic mess.' Cia sternly thought while staring at her hologram.

With a simple gesture, she manifests several smaller holograms from her globe, each one in the image of a powerful magical relic linked to a timespace, like the seven World Rings and the four Remnant Relics, that the Chronoan believes are potential targets. She ponders as she gives a glance at each of them, 'Magic has never been Kang's favorite, yet he's willing to cross that threshold in his crazy venture to revive and control my God. Such an idiot.' One of the holograms she takes an interest is that of a magical tree which she recognizes as, 'Yggdrasill. The World Tree that supports and connects the Ten Realms. Certainly worthy of being a Nexus of Knowledge. I'll contact Lord Thor of Asgardia to add it extra defense in case Kang comes for it.' She then turns her attention to the image of a fiery sword which she also knows as, 'The Twilight Sword. Possessing flames that rival even Solaris. Mephiles has expressed interest in setting the universe afire during Ragnarok.' She scowls, 'I can't allow that to happen. I can't allow these monsters to play with time as they please. There are many powerful magical items in this Rift that Kang can target as suitable replacements for the other. No matter what, I can't allow him to succeed.'

"Heh. You're stressing yourself out trying to clean your own mess."

BGM-Dragon Ball Xenoverse OST-Cutscene: "Theme of Towa"

Caught by surprise by that familiar voice, Cia turns around to confront the grinning Apocalypse standing patiently for her. "MY mess? Bite your tongue before I slit it! If I wasn't forcing myself to tolerate this alliance, I would've cast you out to a void beyond time." The Chronoan Sorceress threatens her temporary partner.

"And you might've succeeded. You have proven to be FAR stronger than most Chronoans I killed in the past. Truly a prodigy." Apocalypse both mocks and compliments Cia's skills, which annoys her more in the end.

"I'm not in the mood for your mockery. The war YOU instigated against my people led to our current predicament. My kingdom simply wanted peace, until your actions angered our God and pushed my people to extinction." retorted Cia.

Apocalypse argues, "This war has LONG been fought before our eras, ever since Solaris' encounter with those Hedgehogs. By now you MUST have realized your God was NEVER a benevolent deity with anger issues. He was deceiving your people for his own selfish endeavors."

"Like you're one to talk." sassed Cia, crossing her arms while turning away from the mutant.

"Solaris craves the destruction of time. And while I have my own destinies to break, I will not allow him to break them for me." Apocalypse conversed.

"Talking about your 'contract' with the Celestials?" Cia glanced at him, aware of his risky dealings with the Space Gods in exchange for their cosmic power.

"I'm not the only one who made a contract with them." Apocalypse implied, "Your ancestors signed a deal with the devil when they allowed Solaris to bless your people with his power. You thought it didn't come at a great cost? Do you even know of his REAL intentions for your kind, now knowing his true nature?"

With a silent gasp of, Cia recalls some of Mephiles' last words during their recent encounter, '…Almost lost faith, but you have developed into quite the weapon…Just as I envisioned for the rest of your people…' Before, Cia was confused by his words, but now it seems she has realized the hidden meaning: That Solaris created the Chronoans to serve as his living weapons of mass destruction against time itself, but he deemed them failures and used the Great War as an excuse to wipe them out. This has yet to be proven true, but the possibility upsets Cia to the core as she does her best to maintain a silent stoic demeanor while sharing a room with her mortal enemy.

Apocalypse can tell she realized the harsh truth but shows enough respect to not dwell further down that topic, "I suppose it doesn't matter anymore. He's now using Kang to complete his plans. And to think, he was created for a different purpose."

BGM-Mega Man X8 OST- Demo - Deepening Mystery

That last claim immediately caught Cia's curiosity as she finally turns back around to face him about that. "What are you talking about? Is there something about Solaris you've neglected to tell us?" She asked.

"Do you know what this is?" asked Apocalypse, holding up a mysterious yet sacred book that the Chronoan stares at.

"That's…the Book of Infinity." Cia recognized, "I've heard about it but never bothered to collect it since it's no different from my Scrolls back in my Sanctuary."

"Many secrets are listed in here thanks to a Watcher that was doing their job from the beginning to the end. Information that not even your Scrolls have records of." Apocalypse stated, as he's willing to share some secrets about the Sun God to Cia, "According to this book, Solaris originated as a tiny flame that was apparently created by a scientist that once led an organization created to preserve time. That being remained as the last living creature of that last dying universe. He Who Remains, was the name given to him. The plan was for Solaris to survive the end and be birth into the next universal cycle with knowledge of the past to improve the future."

"I don't understand. So Solaris was MEANT to be a benevolent creature. A teacher…What changed its nature to the God of Destruction it is now?" wondered Cia.

"Even gods aren't born perfect." Apocalypse implied Solaris was born with a flaw that allowed him to go against the dreams of his creator for his own selfish purpose, "Makes me wonder, for a Child of Solaris, what is YOUR destiny? Will new scrolls describe a new destroyer of worlds, or the same ally to the timeline?" He asked the Chronoan.

Cia doesn't give him an answer. She remains too busy glooming over these revelations, that her blood is cursed and her God was born for unintentional evil. She deeply fears that she will become a destroyer of worlds but doesn't want to show it. Not to Apocalypse. And has no plans to show it to her friends as well.

'Cia, Apocalypse, come in.' Interrupting Cia's thoughts is Nick Fury contacting the two through their ear comms with important news to share.

"What is it, Fury?" asked Cia.

'Kang has sent another force to invade the next Nexus on Planet Wisp. A team has already been dispatched to stop them.' Fury informed them, 'Also, you have a message.'

Raising a curious eyebrow, Cia asks, "Message?"

'It was vague, but there's someone that wants to meet you at the Domain of Light in the Remnant Region. Apocalypse, Palutena, and Chip are also invited.' Fury told them.

"Obviously suspicious." Cia snarked with a deadpan expression, sensing this is a trap of some sorts.

'Obviously.' quipped Fury.

"Might as well accept the invitation. And if this is a trap, we'll make them pay for wasting our time." Apocalypse declared, wanting to learn who set up a meeting with four warriors each possessing power that could rival gods.

Planet Wisp, Alien Realm

BGM-Sonic Generations OST-Planet Wisp (Classic)

It would appear the next Nexus of Knowledge is located somewhere on the luscious Planet Wisp, and for that, Kang's forces have set up a blockade around Mother's Canyon to prevent any hero from stopping him to gain secrets of the planet, cosmic energy so powerful that Chrono World won't stand a chance. His fleet engage in a firefight with the Nova Corps, who are doing their best to stop them. And while a majority of them fight from above, a smaller team was deployed to strike from below through one of Doctor Eggman's old mines back when he briefly conquered the planet.

Boom Sonic was one of the heroes selected to participate in this raid, racing through the mines to strike foes with hyperfast spin attacks. As he nears Blake Belladonna, he latches onto one end of her Gambol Shroud and allows himself to be swung around briefly to create momentum before being launched like a destructive bowling ball that plows through an enemy horde.

"Strike! Nice combo!" smiles Sonic, giving the faunus a thumbs-up that she smiles at.

"Enough talk and keep fighting." said by the stoic Adam Taurus, cutting through his enemies with single sword slashes.

"Tar, don't be jealous." Sonic quipped.

"Why would I be of a rat from inferior species?" snarked Taurus.

"WHAT DO YA MEAN BY THAT, BULLHEAD?!" Sonic angrily yells at his racist comment.

"Ignore him. We still need to get behind enemy lines." said Blake, rushing back to the fight with acrobatic assaults.

Sam Wilson's Captain America and Richard Rider's Nova Prime are also part of this raid mission. They lead their friends and a squadron of Nova Corpsmen through the complex mines, defeating Kang and Alien Soldiers alike while avoiding waterfalls of purple toxic sludge. "Most of Kang's power is focused on the fleet above. Shut off his perimeter security terminals to keep it that way!" Sam ordered his forces as they come across several barriers blocking them to Mother's Canyon.

"Yes, sir!" said a Nova Corpsman.

A few Corpsmen split off to shut off the defense terminals while their allies protect them. Kang expected something like this to happen, so when, "Unauthorized access. Warning! Warning!", is exclaimed from the terminals, two new humanoid androids are automatically summoned to the battlefield, one designed after a Gray Quake Wisp and the other designed after a Crimson Eagle Wisp, and both extremely powerful. "Perimeter violated. Defend the quarry." said the monotone Gray-colored Robot.

"Commander Rider! These…Wispdroids…?" A confused bulky Nova Denarian comments about their new foes, even naming them Wispdroids.

"Lispdroids?" remarks the confused Sonic.

"WISP-droids, with a 'W'." The Denarian angrily retorted at the dumb hedgehog.

"Now we know what we're up against. Kang is harvesting Wisps for their Hyper-go-on energy. A planet's worth can threaten an entire galaxy! We MUST save the Wisps and drive him off the planet!" Nova Prime declared.

The battle begins with a single slam from the Quake Wispdroid that shakes the entire ground with the power of an iron ball, generating shockwaves that blow away all the non-flying combatants. Rider leads his fellow Corpsmen to battle against that Wispdroid, firing energy beams in all directions from the air to try and pin it down. But its defenses are also insanely tough, enduring the punishment long enough to knock down several with a thrown boulder. Boom Sonic speeds in, using his Enerbeam to briefly tie up the robot so he may charge up a Spin Dash. The split-second the Wispdroid broke free, it was smashed into the air by the hedgehog so Rider could destroy it with a charged energy punch that also frees the Gray Wisp trapped within.

"Think you can match wings with me? Just try to keep up." Sam taunts the Eagle Wispdroid as they clash speedy wings across the sky. It's Captain Falcon versus the Crimson Eagle, with the former barrel rolling from the latter's hurled feathers before countering with bullets that are also evaded. The Wispdroid goes for a blazing tackle that Sam narrowly dodge, appearing behind to try and shoot its wings, only for the robot to surprise him with incredible speeds that land a solid blow on the Avenger. "Some speed. Let's see if it's enough to dodge this!" Sam hurls his shield to ricochet off the terrain with speeds so tricky to keep track of even for an android. The shield finally strikes the bot in the back, sending it flying to a dropkick from Sam himself so he could send it towards Blake's direction. She throws her ribbon to tie it up, then yanks it towards Adam so he could decapitate it with a single deadly slash that didn't kill the Crimson Wisp inside.

"Sir! All defense terminals have been disabled!" announced a Nova Centurion to his Prime Commander.

"Good. That will make it easier to reach the Canyon." said Rider, before touching his ear comm to contact another team leader also raiding the planet, "Shadow! What's your team's status? Have you slowed down Kang's harvesting plans?"

Elsewhere on the planet…

Explosions erupt inside a massive factory that Kang's using to convert thousands of captured Wisps into their Nega counterparts with negative energy for his operations, with one explosion that Modern Shadow the Hedgehog jumps away from. "Almost! But Black Doom's trying to slow us down!" The hedgehog responded to Nova's contact.

Smoke from the explosion is swiftly dispersed by the aforementioned Alien Overlord bursting with Sol Power. Hyde Kido, Agent Venom, and Mario are part of this strike force against them, each of them unleashing a swift strike one at a time at Black Doom, with of their attacks simply passing through him with no damage before he counters with a calm fire wave that knocks them back to Shadow.

"Damn! Our attacks are just passing through!" cursed Hyde.

"Normal attacks won't have any effect on his body. Watch his movements. Aim for a weak point. Figure out what kind of attack he's going to try, then counter with a serious blow." said Shadow, using his battle experience with Black Doom to give good advice to his teammates. "Venom, we'll go on the offensive. Kido, keep your distance."

"Roger." acknowledged Flash, before he and Hyde leap to their respective positions.

"Mario, defend Spider-Man while he shuts down this factory." Shadow ordered the plumber.

"Cool! Multitask has never been my strong suit!" quipped Amazing Spider-Man from nearby, using his suit's Spider-Arms to fend off hordes of enemies while his other hands focus on interacting with a computer system.

Mario rushes to Spidey's aid, bouncing off the heads of their enemies with his incredible jumps before slamming his hammer on a Wispdroid that nearly struck the webslinger. Swiftly, the Jumpman unveils his brand-new Arm Blaster, standing in the defense of his friend as he uses his new weapon to shoot down each and every goon that's trying to kill them.

Meanwhile, "Take this!" Sol Black Doom summoned and hurls flaming meteors at the dark duo of Shadow and Venom with deadly precision. The twin heroes manage to dodge every strike with swift speed and sharp senses, even avoiding his energy boomerang attack before Venom blinds the alien with webbing, right before hurling a curled-up Shadow at his face then blitzing him with claw slashes.

Mere seconds before he is hit again, Black Doom warps away whilst leaving behind an illusion for Venom to hit, leaving him vulnerable for a surprise fire blast that immobilizes the soldier for a while. Shadow takes on his alien father next, entering a high-speed teleporting clash with collisions that quake the area, from the ground to the sky. The Black Hedgehog loses the clash and would've taken a serious hit if Hyde didn't come to his rescue with a spiraling ring of dark energy that knocks back the alien demon.

"Nearly done! Just a few more seconds…" exclaimed Spider-Man as he nearly finishes deactivating the factory, something that Black Doom heard and won't allow.

"Not so fast. CHAOS CONTROL!" The Alien Overlord freezes time for everyone and everything except for himself. He then warps to Peter's location and charges up an energy blast with the deadly intent to kill him, "I will not allow an insect to interrupt our plans."

"Nor will I allow you to interrupt ours." Suddenly said by the voice of a certain Black Hedgehog that surprises Black Doom as he was supposed to be frozen in time. Shadow anticipated this and subtly used Chaos Control himself to free himself from Black Doom's, having entered his Chaos Boost Mode to kick his creator away from Spider-Man. "Chaos Cannon!" He unveils his new technique, firing a powerful energy beam that not only really hurts, but freezes Black Doom within a dark blue barrier. With him immobilized, his Chaos Control is stopped and time resumes in time for the heroes to deliver the finishing blows.

"Pale Bringer!" shouts Hyde, bursting with extreme sound-breaking speed to stab the frozen alien overlord, hitting him into the air with an upward slash of explosive dark energy, allowing Venom to defeat him with a ground-shaking Venom Fang.

BGM-Sonic Colors OST-Stage Clear

"Finish!" Spider-Man exclaimed. At that moment, the webslinger was successful in shutting down the entire factory. All systems have powered down freeing the Wisps, with those corrupted turning back to normal. All the small, colorful alien critters speak in their native tongue thanking the heroes for freeing them, most dancing to their freedom while a White Wisp gives Mario an embracing hug. "That should slow down Kang's harvesting plans, for now anyway." Spidey gives a smile to his plumber partner, before sharing a fist-bump with a White Wisp.

Back with Black Doom, the defeated Black Arms Leader lies on the ground before the triumphant trio of Shadow, Venom, and Hyde standing. He's out of breath and left with little power, using some to look at his disobedient son dead in the eye to say, "Your power seems to have increased a bit…"

"You brought this upon yourself the day you helped create me." Shadow mocked.

"This isn't over yet, Shadow…The Black Arms will rise again, in the New Era…Stronger than ever before…with you as my most obedient servant…" Black Doom declared what his plans are in the new world Kang will forge in Solaris' flames.

At that moment, Shadow charges up a Chaos Spear that will end his father once more. "I decide my own destiny. The future has no room for you. Stay buried in the past where you belong." He fires the bolt, but at the last second, Black Doom teleported away from it to parts unknown.

"He got away, the coward." Hyde insulted the cowardice alien.

"Forget about him." said Spider-Man, as he and Mario approach the rest of their team, "Noticed some disturbing data about some business going down deep below Mother's Canyon while shutting down this factory. Not sure what it is yet, but there's more to this than just Kang capturing aliens for their rainbows."

"You hear that, Nova?" asked Shadow.

'Sounds like all the big business is happening at the Canyon. Your team investigate underground, while mine check topside and check if Mother Wisp is okay.' Nova ordered.

Shadow nods, "Roger. Let's get moving." He declared as he leads his team out of the factory.

Domain of Light, Remnant Realm

A golden pillar of light softly hits a plain pathway that calls down the godly group consisting of Cia, Apocalypse, Palutena, and Chip. With just a glance they can tell they have arrived at the sacred meeting place in this timespace: The Domain of Light, a valley filled with golden flowers with a pool of water and a golden tree at the center.

"Is this the meeting point?" asked a curious Apocalypse.

"Yes. The home of my Remnant counterpart." Palutena replied.

"So, who are we meeting?" wondered Chip.

Cia doesn't speak. She's too focused on leaves suddenly blown from the tree and encircle above the fountain. And from it is a golden naked being with a crown of antlers that surprise the group. It is the God of Light, one of the two God Brothers of Remnant, alive in this timespace as he rises from the pool to walk forward to his guests. "I thank you for coming in such short notice." said the God Brother.

The Chronoan Sorceress respectively bows to the god as she formally speaks, "Lord Light of Remnant. So, you too were caught in the time merger. Happy to see you are well. Please tell us: Why have you summoned us to your sacred realm?"

BGM-Mega Man Zero 3 OST-Curse of Vile (Remastered Ver.)

"To ask of you to surrender in peace." Light answered bluntly.

That sudden answer came as a shock to the Chronoan and his two godly counterparts as they thought he would offer his assistance during these dire times. Apocalypse remains composed, yet sternly suspicious of this supposed God of Light radiating such an ominous ulterior motive. "I…I don't understand." said Cia, rightfully confused by his words.

"You have failed your duties as a Time Keeper. You have allowed mortals to tamper with time to the point of it shattering to this fragmented form we're in." Light explained calmly.

"It is only Kang that has disrupted the timestream for a selfish purpose. The Avengers have been helping me restore it by preventing Solaris' resurrection." argued Cia.

"Preventing his resurrection will further doom the timestream to an improper state." Light refuted.

Palutena steps in to join this argument, "You've been deceived! Solaris HUNGERS for the end of time! For the end of all life! You feel the same as I that as paragons of virtue and life, we cannot allow such evil to vanquish them!"

"I abide my father's will." Light calmly revealed.

And just like that, Palutena is taken aback from the shock of that simple statement. Not just her, but also Cia and Chip. All three of them couldn't believe their ears, what they just heard from the God that was supposed to be an ally. "…You were begotten by Solaris." Palutena realized with such stunned surprise that she's still having a hard time to accept right away.

"As is my brother. The darkness to my light." Light said.

"So, that part of the story is true." Apocalypse finally joins the conversation with a confusing claim.

"You knew about this?" Cia turned to him for an answer.

"Recently, from the Book of Infinity. It spoke of two dragons created by Solaris long ago, one of Light and one of Darkness. Inspired by the Heralds of Galactus, these creatures seek out timelines for him to consume. The two brothers competed endlessly for their father's affection, until one day he suddenly vanished." answered Apocalypse, before looking at his allies saying, "I'm sure you know why." to imply Solaris vanished after his fateful battle with the Hedgehogs.

"No way! So, this guy and his brother were evil all along?" questioned the surprised Chip.

"We are neither good nor evil. Simply act to keep the balance." Light intervened.

"How can there be balance if the entire universe is destroyed?" Cia retorted, starting to drop the formalities to express her frustration with the deity.

"Before creation comes destruction. Solaris is the Omega and the Alpha. To bring forth paradise, there must be ruin." Light replied.

"His ideal of a paradise is a world without mortals?" Palutena frowned sternly at that ideal.

The calm Light God explains their reasonings, "Humanity has dominated the cosmos in many timelines. They have evolved into supernatural, power-hungry lifeforms that have repeatedly clashed with the forces of light and darkness, and possess the potential that have overcame the Six Powers of Infinity and splintered my father. I have heard of my future from Lord Mephiles. Of how my brother and I were mercilessly struck down by that woman who refused to understand the balance and helped upset it even more by instigating the Convergence of Worlds."

Apocalypse scoffs, "So you are simply afraid of mankind's power, which is why you are going through such extreme measures to wipe them out." He said to mock the God, who simply shoots a silent glare at the mutant.

"You got it all wrong! You just haven't hanged out with humanity more, know how lovely they are!" Chip argued with his Remnant counterpart, recalling his world adventure with Sonic and the amazing bond they formed.

"You are simply noting the worst aspects of humanity. They possess a fascinating kindness that balances their sick cruelty. Wasn't that the reason you agreed to create Remnant with your brother?" asked Palutena to her counterpart.

"In truth, it was our father that suggested the idea. As an experiment to study and test humanity's potential." Light revealed, "In the end, the results were unexpected thanks to…unknown variables."

"Want to share with the class?" Cia demanded clarification on their results, but Light silently refused with a look-a-way, "Solaris was born to be a teacher, wasn't he? A guide towards a peaceful future. Yet despised sharing and ventured to be a selfish destroyer of time, creating PAWNS with no free will and relish in manipulating those he deems beneath him!" He insults the God Brother.

"Watch your tone, sister." Light sternly warns her.

"DO NOT CALL ME THAT!" Cia shouted as she vents out her angry, "Chronoans were created by Solaris, yes, but we REFUSED to be his tools of destruction! And when he deemed us a 'failure', he allowed THIS guy to bring war to us…" She points to the glancing Apocalypse, "The perfect excuse for our God to eliminate us, simply because we said 'no'. I'm sure he manipulated Remnant the same way! You have NO RIGHT to use us as your playthings, to decide our own destinies, and we will make sure you won't succeed."

"Five of the seven Chaos Emeralds are ours. Planet Wisp nears destruction. The Nexus of Magic has been located. The unfathomable might of the Chronos Corps will keep your forces at bay, while my father awaits his rebirth." said Light as he turns his back to the heroes and walks away.

"Do NOT underestimate the Avengers." Cia fiercely warns him.

"The Unknown…Universe's Greatest Threat. You are right to have been fond of those mortals. They were good souls. I only hoped you and the other gods sided with us." Light said genuinely and cryptically without turning to say that directly to them. In an instant, he transforms into his dragon form and flies off to the unknown, leaving the heroes angrily aware that the God Brothers are back and have become their enemy.

Back on Planet Wisp…

Nova's Group have managed to get past the blockade and made it to the habitat of Mother Wisp: Mother's Canyon. They don't know what Kang wants in the area or how far his control over Hyper-go-on energy goes, but they expect resistance may be heavy so they stay on their guard as they venture out of a cave. Moments after rushing out, All-New Captain America spot something big and pink nearby as he exclaims, "Guys, over there!" to his teammates.

Everyone rushes to a weakened Mother Wisp lying on the ground while surrounded by several of her children that have been worried about her. "It's the Mother of all Wisps. Is she okay?" asked a concerned Boom Sonic.

"Molly?" Nova Prime turned to his young and kind, orange-haired female Nova Corpsman by the name of Molly to be doctor for a bit.

Molly checks up on the Mother Wisp, kneeling down to scan her wounds, and while she does, her helmet translate the words the Mother is telling her. "She'll be fine. Just needs rest. Some of her energy was drained. According to her, she was fighting a robot to prevent it from harming the heart." She informs her teammates.

"Heart? What does that mean?" questioned Adam Taurus, while looking unconcerned about the Mother Wisp's condition.

BGM-Sonic Colors OST-Hyper-go-on Surge

Though weakened, Mother Wisp still has the strength to point the heroes to the right direction, towards a nearby cliffside. As they approach, the heroes notice two massive robotic tentacles clinging onto something below. Once they arrived at the cliffside, they were surprised to see the tentacles belonged to an equally massive robot resembling a negative, demonic version of Mother Wisp that expresses the villainous purple-and-green colors of Kang, energized by vast amounts of Hyper-go-on. This new Avatar of Cosmic hovers above an extensive lake surrounded by waterfalls, using its tentacles to absorb energy deep beneath a massive hole in the lake.

A horrified Blake wonders, "Is that…?"

"It's Kang's robot, using Hyper-go-on to harvest the very CORE of the planet!" Rich noted, "Planet Wisp isn't a very big planet. At this rate, he'll suck it dry. We have to break his connection before it's too late!"

BGM-Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection OST-Crash

"All fliers, with me! We're taking that thing head-on! Everyone else, stay and protect Mother Wisp!" ordered Sam as he flaunts out his wings to take flight alongside the Novas.

"Ha! As if." retorts a smirking Sonic, quickly leaping onto Rich's back before he fled far, "Not everyday I fight an alien robot."

"You Sonics just NEVER listen to anyone!" scowled Rich.

It's Captain America, Sonic, and the Nova Corps banded together as they fly towards the deadly Avatar of Cosmic to purge it from Planet Wisp. Moments before confronting it, Sam shouts, "Tentacles off the planet, Kang!" before focusing his firepower on a weakpoint powering a tentacle, forcing it off the core.

As he nears the other tentacle, Sonic jumps off Nova to run across it at blistering speeds towards its weakpoint. Cyan Lasers, Orange Rockets, and an annoying number of explosive Black Bombs really try their hardest slowing the hedgehog down until the Novas combine their own cosmic power to blast its giant eye appendage, stunning it long enough for Sonic to strike the weakpoint with Spin Attack that bounces him out to the air and towards the large, scary gaping mouth of the robot. The frightened hedgehog desperately tries to fly himself away from the mouth, to his embarrassing failure, only to be saved at the last blitzing second by Cap.

"And this is why you should follow orders." Sam scolded him.

"To miss this piece of fun?" snarked the smirking Sonic.

As the mighty heroes continue on the offensive, unleashing incredible attacks all-around that don't appear to be doing much, Kang finally decides to gloat to them through his Avatar, "Avengers and the Nova Corps. I am impressed by your ability to survive thus far. My conquest of this cosmic nexus is at hand, for this Hyper-go-on Energy create a matrix that no cosmic power can escape. Thus the knowledge and techniques of your little alien friends ensures your own destruction."

"And the destruction of the entire PLANET!" Nova shouted while beaming intense energy that barely flinches the machine.

"It won't be missed, for I can easily recreate it into my liking with this energy." Kang retorted so eerily calm, "BEHOLD my avatar of cosmic power!" He announced while seamlessly repairing the damage to his tentacles with his newfound power, "Your futile struggle against me ends now…" And before setting his malicious sights on the lonely Blake and Adam watching the fight from the cliffside, "Starting with you."

With a single colorful blast from its eye, the Cosmic Avatar Mech obliterates the cliffside the Faunus and Mother Wisp were on and has them falling to their demise. "GUYS!" Sonic shouted in his horror, reaching out to them while latching onto a Nova.

Screaming for their lives, the Faunus were moments away from crashing into the watery grave. But their lives were saved by the Mother Wisp, having regained enough strength to conjure a massive pink energy platform for them to safely land on. Blake sighs in relief from the rescue, turning to give a smiling wave at their alien rescuer alongside a, "Thanks." that is kindly accepted.

Mother Wisp isn't the only one that has decided to help. Dozens of her brave little children are seen flying into the battlefield to lend their power to anyone that needs it, as they want to be of use in saving their own home. "Sir! The Wisps! They want to help!" exclaimed Molly while in the company of a Pink Wisp.

"As long as they're careful, I'm not arguing!" Nova quipped.

So it was decided that the best way to win was to fight color power with color power, with each hero using a unique Wisp to turn the tide against the Avatar of Cosmic. Such as the Nova Officers, empowered by White Wisps to strengthen their connection to the Nova Force and scorch the mech with a relentless bombardment from their Nova Beams. Nova Prime using a Rocket Wisp to blast towards the mech like a superhuman rocket, smashing it into a large mountain in an explosion of color that stuns it. Captain America using an Eagle Wisp to enlarge his wings, bombarding the stunned robot with explosive crimson feathers that pins it down until it had enough and evaded them. With a monstrous roar, the Avatar fires a deadly swarm of energy blasts from its mouth that slows down all but Sonic significantly, with the Boom Hedgehog using a Laser Wisp to zigzag off the blasts at lightning speed until he pierces through the monstrous machine.

To even the odds, Kang summons an army of Wispdroids to fend off the heroes as he prepares some powerful attacks, even summon some droids to keep the two Faunus below company and prevent them from backing up their friends. It's been a long time since Blake and Adam worked together by their lonesome, and despite loathing each other now, the separation hasn't dull their teamwork in the slightest. Two robots come up behind Blake, but she jumps backwards and uses a Lightning Wisp-enhanced Gambol Shroud to split them both at the chest. She leaps forward to cover Adam's back as he slices at several advancing robots with the berserk power of the Frenzy Wisp, using Blush to fire at robots as Blake backflips to evade another robot.

"Convinced now, Blake? Or still harboring paranoid fantasies that I'm here to ruin your life?" asked Adam during the amidst of this chaotic battle.

"You'll need to WORK to regain my trust, Adam. For now, let's focus on stopping Kang." Blake shoots him a stern glance while they fight. But as soon as the Wispdroids are destroyed, Sonic comes crashing between his animal pals, with a concerned Blake rushing to check on him, "Sonic, are you okay?"

"I'm good…" grunted Sonic as he stands back up with painful scratches covering his body. He looks back at the Avatar of Cosmic and notice something strange about it, "So is that robot. We've been hitting it with everything and barely slowed it down. In fact, it seems to be getting stronger!"

"It is. Look down at that hole. Notice the streams of energy?" Adam points his allies to the colorful energy streams that is being sucked by the Cosmic Avatar from the gaping hole in the lake, "Something down there is helping it feed it. Whatever it is it needs to be destroyed." Adam proclaimed.

'Leave that to us.' Shadow suddenly chimes into the conversation through their comms.

Blake silently gasps in surprise from his sudden call, "Shadow!"

Meanwhile…

Deep below Mother's Canyon is a large, secret underground laboratory that is the source of the disturbing data Spider-Man discovered earlier. It's all thanks to a massive mechanical machine that's pillared in the center and connected to the planet's core, truly responsible for stealing its energy and sending it wirelessly to the Avatar of Cosmic. Too bad, Kang's operations have been discovered and are ending right now as Shadow's team raids the lab.

Two Kang Soldiers rush to strike Shadow, only for the hedgehog to casually teleport away at the last second so each could be webbed by Spider-Man and Agent Venom. "And his more cheery friends here to save the day!" Peter quips from where Blake left off in the conversation, as the webslingers yank the goons towards Mario and Hyde to finish off in a simultaneous fashion.

Shadow quickly spots the harvester machine and informs his allies, "This machine is responsible for siphoning energy off the planet. Destroying it will liberate Planet Wisp from Kang's control and weaken his robot."

"That won't accidently blow up the planet, right?" questioned Hyde.

"It would." Peter casually answered, much to the surprise of the high-schooler.

"What?! Then do something smart! You're the smart one!" Hyde retorted.

"I'm also the 'amazing one', 'spectacular one', and 'funny one'." quips the Webhead as he kicks a Kang Soldier away to interact with his computer console that controls the harvester, "Just gotta reverse the energy flow to restore the planet, then we can safely dismantle this baby." It took seconds for Peter to hack into the system and completely reverse the energy flow, returning the energy back to its rightful owner. Once that's finished, the machine shuts down so it may no longer threaten the planet's core. "Finished. Go nuts." Peter allowed his friends. And wasting no time, the heroes lay waste on the machine with powerful blows that quickly prove too much for it to handle until it collapses into pieces that'll take forever to reassemble.

Back above…

The Avatar of Cosmic was holding its own against its enemies until it shockingly realized it lost the support of the planet. "What's this? I've lost access to the planet's core! NO-!" shouted a furious Kang until his robot's giant eye was pierced by a drilling attack from All-New Captain America using a Drill Wisp.

"He's all yours, Nova!" Sam calls him out to finish the job.

Nova stands before his fellow Novas in their last confrontation against the Avatar of Cosmic. With its support lost and its energy levels dropping, this is their best shot at finishing it off. "NOVA CORPS, LIGHT IT UP!" Rich shouted, with each Nova empowering themselves with a Wisp that maximizes their powers to the utmost limit. "FEEL THE COMBINED FORCE OF NOVA AND WISP!" And with that, the Nova Corps and Wisps combine their powers into one insanely powerful, and beautifully colorful, energy beam that shoots into the Avatar's mouth and explodes.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAaaaagh…" That was final death cry of the Avatar of Cosmic as it explodes from the inside out. Its massive body burst into chunks that scatter across the air, with all falling into the depths of the ocean so it could never be rebuilt and torture the planet again.

BGM-Sonic Colors OST-Free from Nega-Wisp Factory

All the heroes and Wisps gather on solid ground, with those from Shadow's team teleporting in to celebrate the liberation of Planet Wisp together. "We did it!" exclaimed by a happy Spider-Man.

"Booyah! Planet Wisp is saved!" Agent Venom expressed with a victorious double fist-pump.

"For like the third time." quipped Nova before sharing a high-five with the web-warriors.

While the Wisps happily fly around in celebration, Shadow walks up to Sam saying, "That's another 'Nexus of Knowledge' we prevented Kang from getting his hands on."

"Except he did, just not for long. Who knows if he salvaged any of it? If he did, let's just hope it's not enough for his Project." Sam said while nervously rubbing the back of his head.

"The faster we shut it down, the better." Shadow replied.

A smiling Sonic agrees with that plan, "I like that." before noticing Mother Wisp descending to the heroes to tell them something that they obviously don't understand without a translator, "What did she say?"

"She's thanking us for saving her world." Molly translated for her friends, "And wants to help us take down Kang so nothing like this happens again to any other world."

Nova smiles, "We accept your offer. Our Alliance needs to grow stronger if we're going to stop him, meaning we all need to come together no matter how big or small you are." He said, which is nodded in agreement by Mother Wisp, "Let's check in with HQ to see if anyone else needs saving. And if we're lucky enough, has intel on Kang's next big target."

BGM-Breath of Fire III OST-Dragon Slayer

"So those two were sleeper agents this whole time?"

That question was asked by Nick Fury attending a meeting with Cia's group after they returned from their unsettling encounter with the now villainous God Brother of Light. Sersi's with them too but hasn't said much. Just sitting next to Cia as she listens to what Apocalypse has to say to the former Director, "Yes. Both created by Solaris for the simple task of pleasing him. Now they're acting in fear of humanity growing too powerful and seeks their complete extinction."

"Surprised he let you walk away." Fury stoically crosses his arms while eyeing the mutant overlord.

Apocalypse grins, "That God prefers to fight with words before action. A mistake that I will surely make certain he regrets."

"I wouldn't underestimate either brother." Palutena chimed in, "Both are powerful enough to threaten planets. Now that they've aligned with the Chronos Corps, we need to exercise extreme caution." She warned the group, something that Fury acknowledges with a silent nod.

"Are you okay, Cia?" asked by Sersi comforting her shoulder, noticing her best friend hasn't been herself since her return from the Domain of Light. She's been looking annoyed with herself, feeling gloom and really just not in a good mood altogether.

"I'm fine. Just…have a lot on my mind." Cia replied with an annoyed glance. Having had her fill of meetings for one day, the time sorceress decides to get up and walk away. "I'm going to continue figuring out Kang's next move. Contact me if something happens." She told everyone while exiting the room, didn't even bother to glance a goodbye to anyone, just left with stoicism that raises some visible concerns from everyone but Fury and Apocalypse.

'Cia…' Fury did, however, expresses his concern for her in his thoughts.

The Time Sorceress walks down a hallway alone, and that's okay as she needs some time to cool off and think over recent mysteries and revelations. She flashbacks to happy memories of her childhood, how she once prayed to the God Flame at its altar, and how she and her family celebrated a festival in honor of their Sun God. To think, even back then, Solaris was manipulating them. Fooling generations of Chronoans into believing he was their benevolent guardian. This harsh truth wounds Cia down to her heart, filling her soul with a complex combination of rage, confusion, and sadness that she desperately wants resolved right away.

'To think, since the beginning of our history, we've been played for fools. Fooled by accursed flames from another world. We were born, but for a different purpose. Were we really destined to be destroyers? Did denying that fate is what REALLY caused our destruction? Of my family…My friends…My…My life…?' Cia stops by a window to spend a moment to stare out mindlessly with eyes of depression, 'I am supposed to know all of time, of past and future, and yet, I do not know the answer. What is my destiny? Who am I? A destroyer, or a protector…?' Her mindless focus then glares at a faraway star that reminds her of the God Flame, 'One thing I know of: My destiny ties with Solaris. And no matter what it is, I will make certain BOTH our destines meet an end.' She then continues her walk, now with a mindset of making sure Solaris dies alongside herself.

KFX Here: Secrets revealed! And just to be clear, it was the God Brothers that had that secret meeting with Mephiles in Issue 1 of this Act 3. One more "Nexus of Knowledge" to protect. What will it be? What else will we learn? The answers will come and I hope to deliver.
