Sky Babylon Zone, Sol Realm. Chrono World

BGM-Transformers: Fall of Cybertron OST-Bee Rolls Out

A lone Quinjet carrying some of Earth's Mightiest flies through the ruins of a floating ancient city towards their target stationed high above them: Damocles Base, the orbital commander center of the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror. He has declared war, and launched an assault on Chrono World, and if the Avengers fail here, in this desperate counterstrike, the end result could be the fall of an entire planet and all of history.

Steve Rogers is in command of this squad, staring sternly at their target dead ahead. Modern Tails has his hands on the controls, believing in himself to pilot his friends to victory. Captain Marvel has constant sights on enemy radar, Spider-Man 2099 making sure energy readings are stable and maximum, while everyone else in their team ready themselves for the intense dangers that will show themselves shortly.

Inside his floating base, one of Kang's minions approaches him with urgent news of their impending arrival, "Lord Kang, an aircraft is approaching us at top speed!"

A viewscreen projects itself for Kang to take notice of the incoming Quinjet and immediately mocks it, "THIS is their assault? The Avengers have placed ALL their hopes on a single flying speck. Don't just sit there! Blow them out of the sky!"

Then boom, nearly all of Damocles' turrets unleash a massive frightening barrage of lasers that Tails quickly takes note of with a sweat. The two-tailed pilot shifts his ship into turbo, showing off an expert display of his piloting skills as he dodges all of the lasers thrown at them with incredible difficulty, with his friends hanging in for dear life.

"Their pilot is an expert." Kang commended the fox before ordering his troops, "Let's see how they can handle this. Mobilize Scarabs! Lead them to the sights of my Damocles Weapon!"

And in that instant, an endless horde of annoying Scarab Flier drones are all launched unleashing their own hell of lasers right at the Quinjet. Tails does his best flying past everything they got but even his piloting skills has their limits as they start to surround and delay them from reaching Kang.

"Enemy forces are everywhere!" Captain Marvel informed everyone.

"So, like, this seems to be going bad!" Grimm Reaper jokingly noted.

Suddenly their jet shakes from the constant explosive ruckus caused outside, causing Classic Knuckles to quip, "Really?! Don't want to backseat drive or anything, but you might want to consider shooting back!"

"Are our weapons ready?" asked Steve to Spidey.

"Online and max with Chaos power!" retorted Miguel, shooting a quick glance to the Chaos Emerald they're using as a power source before at the Captain to, "GO!"

The controls for their energy weapons unveil themselves to Cap as he immediately takes command to blow up all the drones blocking them to their main target. He does his best, unaware they are leading his forces to a trap in the form of Damocles charging up massive amounts of energy at the tip of the front. Just as the laser cannon fully charges, Carol noticed their sensors going nuts and horrifyingly shouts at Tails to, "MOVE, MOVE!" And the fox does at the very last second via a barrel roll, with their shields just being viciously scratched by the massive energy beam that flies off to hit a mountainside in the distance with enough explosive force to shake the entire timespace, radiating shockwaves that spread to this aerial warzone.

"Nice dodge, Tails!" Boom Sonic compliments his alternate reality buddy for saving their lives.

"Wish others caught in that blast radius was as fortunate. That looked to have wiped out 10% of this timespace!" Carol scowled, furious over the many lives that Kang wiped out in an instant.

Cap retorts, "All the more reason to do our job and stop Kang right now! His cannon is shielded like the rest of his ship. We'll need cover fire. Infinite!" He turns to the masked jackal behind him, "Create as many Replicas as you can imagine to clear us a path! Speed, strength, and something big to blind them!"

"I have some ideas." calmly said by Infinite.

With a simple gesture of his hand, the War Horseman warps virtual reality to create their own army of endless clones comprised of the speedy Metal Sonic, the cosmically-powerful Terrax the Tamer, and one massive Fin Fang Foom that roars out his fury upon being summoned, "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Kang's forces were left horrified by sudden appearance, with Princess Ravonna looking quite shocked, and Kang simply irritated. The Metal Sonics blitz through everything that is a threat faster than a blinking eye, with one penetrating through several with their V. Maximum Overdrive Attack. Several Terraxs slice through drones like butter with their axes, while others use their cosmic powers to rain meteors down on their foes. But none is as big of a threat, literally, as Fin Fang Foom unleashing massive fire breath that incinerates an army on its way to Damocles Base. Though his attack fails to weaken its shields, its flames are more than enough to blind its passengers long enough for the Avengers to a relatively safe area where they can proceed with their desperate assault.

With a head turn to his allies, Cap quickly gives them orders, "We're only going to get one chance at this, so let's do it right! Spectrum, Captain Marvel, Infinite, I want you outside pronto. Scarlet Witch, at the Chaos Emerald Reactor. Everyone else, keep your eyes open. Wait for my signal, and ATTACK!"

If this battle took place in space, the thunder of their combo attack would be heard worldwide, so great are the energies unleashed here. Captain Marvel, Infinite, and Spectrum all unleash their full powers alongside the Chaos-charged lasers of the Quinjet straight at Damocles Base. But even so, the target's forcefield holds, and Captain America finds himself gripping the fire-controls tightly, painfully, as Classic Knuckles scans the readouts for any sign of damage. Still nothing, which gets him scowling with anxiety.

"I can't seem to trap this ship in virtual reality!" Infinite snarled.

"Here, Infinite, Carol! Concentrate our power TOGETHER!" Spectrum shouted.

"Maybe we can create a harmonic pattern that'll disrupt the shield, shatter it! I'm on it!" retorted Carol, working together with the two to combine their powers into one powerful beam.

Spectrum instructs her partners to, "Pulse your blasts, set up a rhythm! I'll establish a counter-rhythm, and maybe…"

But, "No good, Cap!" The intense grunting of Scarlet Witch works with all her magic as her energies work in chaotic harmony with the Chaos Emerald, "I'm trying to reach out through the ship's repulsor-blast, tap into the forcefield with my Chaos Magic! But it keeps shifting in frequency, altering its energy structure! I can't…can't manage to engage it fully…!"

"Keep at it, Wanda!" Cap encouraged her to not give up, "Tony Stark's working on cracking the technology behind the field! He may come through for us at any moment! In the meantime, we can't let up, not for a SECOND! If we fail to break through…"

"Don't even SAY that, Cap!" Tails exclaimed at the soldier, "Somehow, some-WAY, we'll do it! We have to!"

Avengers Tower, Alien Realm.

And in a different timespace, on Chrono World, tense eyes follow every moment, every iota of feedback. Both in Avengers Tower, where the Wasp holds her breath, Modern Amy gulps in worry, Cia prays for their victory, and both Apocalypse and Nick Fury watch in stoic silence.

GUN Fortress

Same is happening at GUN Headquarters. "Yes sir, Flight S-1 is ready for launch. Acknowledged. Keep awaiting GO order…" said a GUN Agent, talking to someone on the phone in the same office as his Commander.

"C'mon, Cap! Go. GO." The GUN Commander mutters out his cheers, hoping the Super-Solider won't fail them in their darkest hour.

Back at the Sol Realm…

Even Mephiles the Dark has taken interest in this climatic showdown in the sky, having a front row seat on a pale skyway in Sky Babylon. "I must be honest, Kang. I am enjoying this show you're performing. Now…try to survive from this, Avengers." He eerily muttered.

Meanwhile during the high-stakes battle, "More, everyone, MORE!" Captain Marvel fiercely encourages her team to push themselves to their utmost and extreme limits as they all continue pounding on that forcefield, "Maybe I'm just kidding myself, but I think I feel something giving…!"

"I don't…don't think I can keep this up, much longer…" said Wanda, starting to feel exhausted from exerting so much energy.

"You CAN, Wanda! We know you can! DO IT!" Sonic cheers her on.

And finally, in the minute they need him the most, Tony Stark gets in contact with the strike team with some good news that might turn the tide, 'CAP! I think we've got something! A specific series of counter-modulations! It might work! I'm sending it up!'

'Just do it fast, Cap!' Modern Amy suddenly chimes in, 'The joint chiefs are getting antsy…'

And, Within Damocles Base, at the Operations Center…

"Absorbing exterior assault and resequencing. Shields temporarily weakened, but are now restored to full strength." announced a Kang Soldier to their whole crew.

Smiling at this good news, Ravonna fist-pumps the air saying, "Excellent. Just keep at it, men! Those attackers are hopeless! Nothing our automatic defense modules can't handle!"

"I wish that stayed true." said Kang, giving off a poker face while his hands fold with calm annoyance.

"What do you mean, My Kang? Surely they cannot destroy our barrier." The confused Ravonna replied.

Kang calmly explains to his wife, "Versatile as they are, even my automatic modules cannot anticipate everything. For example, those 'Hopeless Attackers' seem to have introduced a new series of sub-harmonic, variable-flux frequencies to their attack, and it looks as if…"

And to the utter shock of everyone but Kang himself, his forcefield have just been disabled by the combined power and smarts of the Avengers. "Yes. The Avengers have just broken through our shields. Not the desired result, wouldn't you say?" said the Chrono Conqueror.

"This is…impossible. None of them should possess ANY might to breach our defenses." Ravonna commented through her disbelief, right as that disbelief shifts into worry, "And now WE'RE the ones defenseless against THEIR army."

"Fear not, Ravonna. I will allow NONE to harm you." Kang vowed from the heart, "After all, it is a minor lapse, and easily fixed."

BGM-Mega Man Zero 4 OST-Ragnarok (Remastered)

And, with the simple push of a button, Kang activates his ship's stasis ray to hit the Quinjet, suspending it in midair. "What?!" Tails exclaimed through this surprise, as the stasis ray also blew a worrisome hole into the Quinjet while frying the ship's controls.

"Marvel, Spectrum, Infinite! We're HIT! Move in, get into Damocles Base! Now! NOW!" yelled Cap, while Grimm Reaper hurries to catch an exhausted Scarlet Witch from collapsing flat to the floor.

But Kang already knew of their plot and quickly hits those three heroes with painful stasis rays of their own. "W-Wish we could, Cap…B-But…some sort of stasis ray…!" said Spectrum, struggling to break free from Kang's unstoppable power.

Still, Kang doesn't stop with them. He turns his attention their Replica Army. And with another push of a button, he wipes them all out with the full frightening force of his ship's arsenal, with Fin Fang Foom getting the special missile treatment diving into the mouth. Secretly below them is Mephiles with a single comment on this sudden turn of events, "So…that is your limit." before walking away from the battlefield, leaving behind these foreboding words, "You deserved this fate."

And inside GUN HQ…

"I'm sorry, Madame Wasp." The GUN Commander has a somber holo-call with Wasp, with both of them having just witnessed the Avengers' defeat, "I know you're opposed to our plan, but…"

"I know, Commander Tower. I wish…I wish there was something I could say. God, I hope they're all right…" said Wasp, calmly worried for her friends' safety.

"So do I, ma'am. So do I." Tower closes his eyes for a bit, praying that this next plan of his won't fail like the Avengers. "Zavitz…" He then opens his eyes to grimly say, "Give the launch order."

And in moments, they launch. 75 of them, from three locations around Washington. They are Sentinels, originally created to combat rogue mutants, but more and more, they have become an important part of the federal government's contingency plans against supernormal threats. 75 Sentinels, each with the power to level a small city. And each with one programmed goal: Reach Kang, and neutralize him, at any cost.

At the Battlefield...

"GRRRRRRRRRRGGH!" Infinite growls out his fury as he tries, desperately tries with the full power of his Phantom Ruby, to break free from his stasis lock. He failed.

"C-Can't…Can't move…!" grunted Captain Marvel.

"Good afternoon, Avengers." Kang suddenly appears with a gloating smile to their faces as a giant holographic head, "My sensors inform me that there is a flight of Sentinels on the way. Sentinels. I wouldn't have thought you so foolish. Your government perhaps, but not you." His head is then seamlessly attached to the rest of his massive body, "YOU HAVE FACED ME BEFORE. YOU KNOW I AM A TIME-TRAVELER, AND HAVE BEEN ACTIVE, IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, IN TIME PERIODS RANGING FROM ANCIENT EGYPT TO THE FAR FUTURE. ONE OF THOSE TIME PERIODS WAS THE EARLY PART OF THE 20TH CENTURY. I WAS ACTIVE IN THE GUISE OF VICTOR TIMELY, SCIENTIST AND BUSINESSMAN, AND I HAD QUITE AN INFLUENCE OVER A THEN-DAWNING INDUSTRY. SPECIFICALLY, THE ROBOTICS INDUSTRY." He revealed, with himself noticing the Sentinels inbound, "I WAS NOT SO FOOLISH AS TO AVOID PLANTING SAFEGUARDS IN ALL THE TECHNOLOGY THAT DESCENDED FROM MY WORK. SAFEGUARDS, AND CONTROLS." Just one swift gesture, and the Sentinels change course, their programming overridden, to follow the commands of their new lord and master: Kang the Conqueror, "I 'REALLY' WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT THIS OF YOU, AVENGERS."

GUN HQ

"Wh-WHAT?! But…But…" Tower stands up in horrified surprise from watching his Sentinels fail him already. They were built to be Humanity's last hope, their final shot at ending this war, and Kang stopped it all with a simple wave of his hand. Now, after accidently giving that madman more power than he already has, the GUN Commander lowers his head in complete shame muttering, "What have we done…?"

Avengers Tower

"Cap…Cap warned them…!" muttered Wasp, as she and the others beside her also couldn't believe their eyes to have witnessed Kang easily turning the Sentinels to his side.

Sky Babylon

"I MUST ALSO REMIND YOU, AVENGERS." Kang continues to gloat at his heroic captives, "I DID SAY THAT IF OR MY FORCES WERE ENGAGED OTHER THAN ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE, THERE WOULD BE RETRIBUTION. AND I AM A MAN OF MY WORD. YOU HAVE ATTACKED MY COMMANDER CENTER. THUS, I WILL OBLITERATE YOURS."

He turns, opening a portal to the Alien Realm, and begins his tread measured and precise walk towards. But, before he leaves, "AH. I'M FORGETTING SOMETHING." he obliterates the Quinjet and the heroes in range with a single blast from his holo-hand, leaving nothing but their Chaos Emerald that he pulls to his grinning grasp. "THERE. COME ALONG, MY SENTINELS." And this time, when he turns away, he does not turn back again.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Suitable Opponent

"REPORT!" Nick Fury shouted for urgent updates on their increasingly grave situation.

Wasp interacts with her computer for those urgent updates and was quick to inform everyone, "Kang is heading for Washington D.C. with an army of Sentinels, and I've lost COMPLETE contact with Cap's team!"

"He's going to destroy the city! Has it been evacuated?!" asked by the frantic Cia.

"No! Not even the President! Nova Corps is trying to get their defenses up!" Wasp retorted.

Cia scowls, "Then we'll have to delay him as long as we can! Wasp, let's go! Fury, Apocalypse, coordinate our forces here!" She ordered before swiftly leaving the premise alongside Wasp.

"Amy!" Fury fiercely turns to their communications specialist with the stern orders of, "Get me everyone!"

"Everyone?" Amy reacted in shock to that order, "People are still fighting and recovering across-!"

"GET ME EVERYONE!" Fury repeated his orders with a furious, impatient yell that scared Amy into complying without argument as she realizes they are running out of time.

Washington D.C.

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Dark Gaia (Running)

Disaster reveals itself from a portal above the city in the form of the massive Kang and his legion of Sentinels converging. A fleet of GUN Fighter Jets are swiftly deployed to stop their advance, but just a simple, smiling gesture from Kang signals the Sentinels to grant them a swift end with lasers blasting through each and every scum of a jet. Members of the Nova Corps immediately appear to retaliate against the Sentinels as Kang finds himself blocked by their barrier that was just activated to protect the entire city from his assault. It didn't last. Kang simply commands his Damocles to unleash the firepower necessary to obliterate their defenses and numerous Nova Corpsmen in a single shot. Pleased to see nothing else stands between him and their destruction, Kang and his remaining robots march forward into the city, unaware of a portal forming near him that summons a new band of mighty resistance.

"YOU ARE 'NOT' GOING ANY FURTHER!"

A furious Cia flies out of the portal alongside her frantically-assembled team composed of Wasp, Thor, Silver, Sir Lancelot, NiGHTS, Lady Phoenix, and Warlord Skaar. Kang takes notice of their arrival with an unamused stare, but doesn't bother stopping them from destroying his Sentinels one by one.

Down below the battle, a small team comprised of Mayday Parker, Yang Xiao Long, Classic Sonic, and Strange 2099 arrived to help the millions of people evacuate the city before it is too late. "HURRY! GET TO SHELTER! Just IGNORE the giant hologram and his army of killer robots and you'll be fine!" shouted Mayday, doing her best to calm everyone from running around in a scared panic.

"How long will it take for that spell?" Yang hurriedly asks the Sorceress Supreme, who is in the middle of incanting a spell powerful enough to evacuate the entire city.

"Still need another few minutes! Evacuating an entire city isn't easy!" Strange retorted, focusing all her thoughts into her growing evacuation spell.

Inside the White House…

President Joe Biden stares somberly out the window over the devastation that is ruining his city by the second. Though the destruction is horrifying to look at, the President knows he must remain strong for the sake of his people fighting against this madness, "This cannot be the end…We cannot allow this to be the end."

Suddenly barging into his office is his Secret Service, with one of them quick to grab him saying, "Sir, transport is ready! We must go NOW!" while dragging him out of the building towards his escape helicopter.

Back in the city…

"FOR MIDGAAAAAAARRD!" Thor swoops through a Sentinel with lightning-fast fury as the Avengers continue to frantically throw everything they have at the several dozens remaining. Lady Phoenix burns the face off a Sentinel. Silver crushes one with powerful psychokinesis. While NiGHTS obliterates some with their Paraloops, Sir Lancelot warps in front of several and strikes them in furious succession. Cia freezes a squadron in time then lines them up, long enough for Skaar to smash them all with one earth-shaking punch. The shrunken Wasp flies into the smallest opening in a Sentinel's mouth, reaching the brain to pull wires and blast everything around the causes the robot to explode while she makes her escape.

One Sentinel manages to sneak attack Thor but was quickly taken down by the combined blasts of Cia and Silver. Kang notices his legion dwindling and decides to take matters into his own hands. Literally, as he conjures immense energy in the cup of his hands and uses it to start obliterating entire city blocks with single shots, with one nearby shot surprising Strange 2099 as it knocks her out cold just before she finished with her evacuation spell.

"STRAAAAANGE!" Yang yelled out in horror.

Classic Sonic quickly jumps to catch the unconscious sorceress and desperately tries to wake her up, "Wake up, WAKE UP! THE ENTIRE CITY'S DEPENDING ON US!" but to no avail, only increasing Sonic's worries that they may not be able to save the day this time.

"KAAAAAAAAAANG!" Lost to his own rage, Thor makes a mad tackle towards the chrono murderer, quickly forgetting he is tackling through a hologram that laughs at his efforts to stop him while he continues blasting chunks of Washington D.C.

Thor doesn't want to give up. He's too stubborn and angry to give up now. The Thunderer charges his spinning hammer to maximum power to try and do something, anything, that can harm the invincible hammer. "IT'S NO USE!" But Wasp flies to his face to try and convince him to stop, "He's a hologram! You'll just burn your energy! Instead…!" The Insect Avenger points him down to the President, who is now unable to escape thanks to a Sentinel head crushing his escape ride at the last moment.

Reluctantly, but convinced nonetheless, Thor flies down with Wasp to help the President escape. The Thunder God spins his hammer to open a portal to a safe place far away from the invasion, urging the President and his Secret Service to, "HURRY!" which they do. Soon after, everyone else from his team besides Silver meet up with them, as Thor also points them to escape, "GO! Cia, Phoenix, and I will cover you!"

Wasp was quick to argue, "What? NO! We gotta stick together!"

"This is no time to argue!" Thor retorted.

"He is right! We must leave to ensure your leader's safety! HURRY!" Lancelot supported Thor's decision.

And with her own great reluctance, a somber Wasp escape through the portal alongside members of her team, leaving behind Thor, Cia, and Phoenix to continue this desperate battle. All three fly back to the skies to confront the massive holographic conqueror for another round, yet Kang seems to have other plans in mind. "RETURNED TO CONTINUE STRUGGLING? ADMIRABLE, BUT POINTLESS…" He said as he forms a strange, futuristic green energy sphere cupped above his hands, "AS I AM NOW DONE PLAYING WITH YOU AND THIS CITY." Declared the Conqueror as he just drops the energy sphere high above the city.

Cia gasps at the bomb in total horror, "Oh no! NO!" before her squad flies at their most desperate speed in their only attempt to catch it before it hits the city.

Down below on the streets, and to their increasing worry, Yang's little team also take notice of the bomb that is moments away from crashing. "Thaaaaat doesn't look good." Mayday joked to calm her scared nerves of their impending doom.

At that last moment, Silver suddenly reappears behind them shouting, "TAKE COVER!" as he pushes his powers to their very limit, erecting a psychic barrier the size of a city block that shields himself, his friends, and the few dozen civilians in the area against the end.

BGM End

And just like that, just before Cia's team were close enough to stop it, boom. The bomb explodes in the middle of the city, right as Cia conjures shields for her team before they were blown across the city. The explosion was simply devastating. It spreads throughout the city, vaporizing millions of people that fear death to the very end. Windows shatter. Buildings collapse. Silver's shield nearly breaks as he lets out an agonizing, "AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGH…!" before a green light consumes them all.

As soon as the light dims, its revealed Silver's barrier held to the very end. The people he saved survived, at the cost of the psychic collapsing into unconsciousness after overexerting himself. "SILVER!" shouted by a very concerned Yang hurrying to check on him. Luckily he's still breathing, barely, and it might be a while until he wakes up again. Yang smiles down at him, "You did great. Get some rest." She told him sincerely.

"Y-Yang…" A very, very stunned Sonic just says a word that quickly gets her attention to focus on everything else besides Silver.

The lilac eyes of the Blonde Brawler widen to the extreme as she, Sonic, and Mayday are simply horrified to stare at the current state of Washington DC. The city, is no more. The Capital of the United States, now in ruins. Most of the buildings still stand, but the people? Every man, woman, and child, that weren't protected by Silver, were killed in the explosion. They had no chance, no hope of escape. They were dead in seconds.

Cia's team managed to survive with wounds that they stand up from. Standing over the countless bones and skeletons that used to have flesh a minute ago. One terrified look at the skeletons was enough for the Chronoan to be reminded of the destruction of her homeland, so much so that she lowers her head to sob to herself for failing to save this homeland.

Thor walks the streets for a bit, silent with disbelief at their failure. He grabs the skeleton head of what used to be a child, and that was it. That was his breaking point. The God of Thunder collapses down onto his knees, with the sky darkening, rain dropping, and the wind picking up because of his powers, he lets out one, heart-wrenching, emotional, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as a thunderstorm cackle above the city while tears stream down his sorrowful eyes.

Later…

No words could describe what is about to happen. After the storm cleared and the dust settles across the newly-destroyed Washington D.C., a quick meeting is taking place above the ashes on a single floating platform. Standing on one side are soldiers of the victorious Chronos Corps, with Kang and Ravonna standing before them with triumphant smiles. And standing on the other side are officials of the defeated United States Government, with the GUN Commander among others having their heads lowered in utmost shame.

Both sides stand between a podium holding a paper and a pen. With a solemn nod, Kang signals to the GUN Commander to approach it, which he does. And once he reached it, and with little hesitation, he signs the Article of Surrender, on behalf of the United States of Amerius.

BGM-Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) OST-Extras

KFX Here: A new chapter so soon, and one of my most darkest yet. It's official. The Avengers FAILED, and the United States has surrendered to Kang. The country didn't even fall during the Superior Empire War, not completely at least. All hope seems lost, and I'm looking forward to what happens next.
