Dylan held Kelly's hand as they rushed over to his car. Once they were seated, they shared a quick glance and smiled at each other before he turned the key in the ignition.

"Where are we going?" She asked

"Home." He winked.

He parked the car at paradise cove and they began to head down to the beach.

She breathed in the fresh air. He was right, she thought. This feels like home.

She watched him kick off his shoes and socks and walk into the water to dip his feet. She smiled to herself before following in his footsteps.

"It's freezing." She gasped before rushing back to land after dipping in a toe.

"It is winter." He joked. She shook her head defiantly. "Come on." He chuckled, "I'll keep you warm."

But she remained in the same spot.

"Fine. Suit yourself." He shrugged before bending down to splash water at her.

"Dylan!" She squealed trying to dodge the splashes of water but as she attempted to step back, he grabbed her arm and pulled her back in.

She could feel the waves brushing past her ankles, and the wind in her hair, but suddenly she didn't feel so cold anymore. He made sure her red coat was closed, before looking at his watch to check the time. He looked back up and caught her gaze on him.

"1 minute." He whispered as he pulled her towards him.

His hand reached up and she felt his fingers brush her hair out of her face. And he began to count down.

"...3, 2, 1." He drawled. "Happy new year, Kel." His lips brushed against hers. It only took a couple of soft kisses on his part to get her engulfed in the kiss. She finally pulled away, and made sure her coat was still closed.

"Why'd you bring me here?" She asked.

"Figured if we remembered the good old days, it will bring us luck this year."

"The good old days... They weren't so good." she defied

"We both know better than that." He smirked.

Dylan and Kelly drove up to paradise cove.

"See, I told you we'd still have fun." She insisted as they got out of the speedster that was freshly washed at the car wash. Dylan shot her a stern look, teasingly. Still moping about their trip to Joshua Tree getting postponed.

"Come on, I thought we were past that at the car wash." She sighed

"We are." Dylan paused, "I just really wanted us to get away for a bit. From all the college stuff."

"We will."

"It won't be the same."

"No..." She huffed, "So, let's make it better." She smirked. He eyed her suspiciously. He knew what that cheeky smile meant. His lips then curled into a half smirk.

"What did you have in mind?" He asked and she glanced around before moving toward the sea.

"Well... We can build a fire right here." She said as she took off her denim shorts and dropped them in the same spot.

"I'm burning a fire all right." He grinned.

"And..." She moved a little closer to him, and took off her blue tee shirt. "Place the blanket... here." She said as she dropped her tee shirt on the sand.

She then made her way into the water. "What do you say?" She smiled, standing there in her underwear and bra.

"Did I mention, I'm starting to grow fond of you sorority girls." He joked before taking off his tee shirt and jeans to join her in his boxers.

As they frolicked in the water, splashing around before he held her close to him, they jumped up at the sight of light coming from a flashlight.

"Someone's here." She whispered.

"Guards." He presumed. "Come on," He encouraged, grabbing her hand and running out of the water. They quickly grabbed their clothes on the sand and rushed over to the car in hysterics. They continued to giggle as they sat in the car until Dylan stopped abruptly and gazed at her. Noticing his gaze on her made her stop laughing too. He then pulled her in for a kiss. Eagerly speeding up the pace, he deepened the kiss as he leaned his body forward.

With a breathless sigh, he quickly jumped into the backseat and encouraged her to join him. Pulling her by the hand, she crawled over and sat on his lap. His hands rested on her hips as she began to unhook her bra. He admired her breasts, stunned at her beauty before she her lifted her body up on her knees for him to embrace in between her legs. He breathed out slowly, about to bite on the waistband of her underwear but then paced himself. She leaned her body forward, closer to him, and he closed his eyes. His nose became smushed onto her lower abdomen before he began to turn his head away.

"Come on." She moaned out. He then shushed her, as he reached his hand up to cup the back of her neck and bring her back down. She lowered back down to sit on his lap. She kissed him once more. Enjoying the taste of her, he embraced the kiss.

As they shared desperate kisses, she hummed soft moans, which only excited him more. So, he tried to pull away again.

"Mmm, mm." He moaned as he finally tore his lips away. "Kel, someone will hear." He whispered.

"Who cares." She smiled sweetly. He gazed at her smile, trying to control his urges.

He shook his head, almost to warn himself to behave. "It's illegal to have sex in a car in public." He warned her.

They then spotted the flashlight again, which prompted him to quickly swing her around and lay her down on the backseat. He hovered over her, lying on top of her.

He shushed her once more as they hoped to remain unseen. They couldn't hear anything other than each other's breaths, which were growing unsteady by the minute. His eyes locked with hers. He exhaled as the tip of his nose accidentally brushed across hers. He could feel her supple breasts smushed under his chest. She could feel his budge digging into her. He couldn't hold it in anymore as he looked at her with insatiable desire. His lips parted, he almost drooled over her. He then closed his mouth and swallowed a gulp.

"Fuck it." He stated in a growly whisper before pulling down his boxers and pulling her underwear to the side, tearing it a little in the process. He entered her.

"Don't. Make. A sound." He urged. As he slowly made love to her, they attempted to keep their heavy, muffled moans under their breaths. As she struggled to keep quiet, he lifted up his hand and covered her mouth. He continued to thrust into her as they both began to feel the vibrations of the pending explosion. Their hot and sweaty writhing bodies had them forgetting where they were. His jaw dropped as he rested his lips on his knuckles of the hand that's covering her mouth. As they begin to climax, he became stunned by the orgasm that encompassed his body before they both finally felt the release.

After several moments of trying to catch their breath, he finally pulled his shaft out of her, and untwisted her underwear for her. He then pulled up his boxers.

He exhaled slowly and reached down, rummaging through their clothes on the floor. Once he handed her hers, he began to put on his own clothes.

"Dylan." She said abruptly. He turned to see what she was pointing at. The security guard with the flashlight was heading towards them.

They both jumped into the front seats and Dylan started the car. As they heard him yell over to them, they rushed out of there, racing down the street until they were out of the guard's sight.

They both began to laugh again once they were free.

"You're a bad influence." He teased

"It was temporary insanity." She sighed

"Well, what's the point of life if you can't swing from chandeliers every now and then." He grinned

"So..." She began, "You still upset about Joshua Tree?" She teased

"If you catch me brooding again, I give you permission to slap me."

"Hmm... been there, done that." She sighed "Besides... You'd like it too much."

He shook his head, laughing.

"I remember... " Kelly chuckled coyly and Dylan shot her a half smirk.

"One day... " He began, now adopting a more serious tone. "I hope you feel as alive as you made me feel every time we came here."

Kelly exhaled in response. She then turned to look over at the water, listening to the sound of the waves, as yet another Paradise Cove memory popped into her head.

"Who ordered a pizza?" She said, standing behind him.

"Hi." He smiled as soon as he heard her voice. He stood up to greet her.

"Hi," She grinned.

"Of all the beaches in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine." He gazed at her. She smiled coyly before she plopped down onto the sand. He followed suit, not taking his eyes off of her.

"Wow, it's so beautiful." She beamed up at the sky, "I can see why you come here."

Dylan glanced around the area and sighed.

"People like us, we've never really had a safe place to call home." He began, "This has been it for me... Something about being surrounded by nothing but the sound of the waves is calming." He turned to face her again, " ...I wanna share it with you."

Kelly now glanced at him, and smiled coyly before uttering a quiet "Thanks..."

"No, thank you." He corrected

"For what?" She cocked an eyebrow.

He paused for a moment, eyeing her with a sharp gaze. "...I could never do what you do. I couldn't compartmentalize my life. Whenever my home was up in flames, it's all I could think about... And people are always saying 'talk it out' but I can't. That's when I need a drink to quiet my mind. But you... no matter what is going on in your home, you don't carry it with you... And this summer, you did that for me."

"I didn't do anything." She said softly

"Yeah, you did." He drawled. "You didn't push me to talk; you helped me let go, have fun enjoying a natural high. Whether it was at the beach, playing volleyball or riding jet skis, you took me out of my head. You got me to be present in the little moments that often pass you by."

"I'm glad." She smiled, truly touched by his words. They both realized, there's a reason they suddenly feel so connected. It was the first time they both felt understood.

"...That's why I was hoping you'd show tonight." He said softly, "If this is the last time we get to be alone like this, I don't wanna let the moment pass us by."

"So let's make the moment last." She shot him a half smile before looking up at the sky once more. "Did you see that?" She chortled, "It's a shooting star!"

Admiring her enthusiasm, he couldn't help but smile at her. "You saw that?" He gushed

He watched her, noticing the twinkle in her eyes. As he stared at her, he began rubbing her back.

"You know what they say about shooting stars... you can't share 'em with a friend."

She finally turned to face him.

"Well, I guess they weren't talking about us." She admitted. Exchanging a heartfelt smile, he pulled her into his arms, where she rested comfortably. With his arms wrapped around her, hugging her tightly, he kissed the top of her head. And they both closed their eyes in serenity.

After resting his chin on her head, he looked down and brushed her hair out of her face. He began to trail kisses on her forehead, down to the tip of her nose until he reached her lips. After a peck or two, he gazed into her eyes, waiting for her response. She leaned her head up and opened her mouth for him to deepen the kiss.

The longing kiss had him yearning to immerse himself in the girl he was falling in love with. He lowered his back down, pulling her on top of him. As one hand reached up to cup the back of her head, his fingers getting tangled up in her hair, the other hand reached down to her derriere.

Consumed with their amorous embrace, Dylan rolled them over to climb on top of her. Eagerly kissing her, she attempted to turn away but his lips followed hers, desperate to touch.

"Dylan, we can't." She finally spoke after finally, successfully turning her head away to the side.

"I'm sorry." Dylan replied breathlessly. After a chorus of deep inhalations, Dylan's urges got the better of him as his lips crashed onto hers once more.

After stealing another passionate kiss, with his forehead resting on hers, Kelly then reached her hand up to his neck, her thumb and index finger cupping his chin, as she held him at arm's length, pushing a reluctant Dylan back.

"I want to but I can't." She insisted. He nodded as he caught his breath, sitting upright. She finally sat upright too.

"It's okay." He breathed out. "We don't have to do anything. I'm just happy being with you." He whispered, observing the way her fringe fell on her forehead.

Kelly sighed as she looked up at the sky once more, noticing one of the shooting stars that passed every 2 minutes. "...It really takes your breath away, doesn't it?"

"Yeah... " He agreed, not taking his eyes off her. She turned to face him and blushed once she caught his gaze on her.

They both smiled at each other.

"Come here." He soothed after sliding into his sleeping bag. She got in there with him. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him. "You okay?" He asked, "Warm enough?"

"Yeah," She breathed out. "Perfect." She beamed up at him.

Dylan kissed her head once more, wishing it didn't have to end. But instead of getting stuck in his head, he followed her example, and stayed in the moment, making it last for as long as they could.

Kelly still felt a tingling sensation every time she remembered that memory. It was the most magical night.

"...You've made me feel alive many times, Dylan." She finally breathed out. "...That's why it hurts so much when you leave."

She got up and began walking back to the car.

The car ride home was silent as he drove her home. Dylan parked the car outside Kelly's house. Unable to rehash anymore of this anguish, she shook her head and took off her seatbelt.

"Kelly." He said firmly. She opened the car door. He exhaled sharply before grabbing her arm and pulling her back.

She turned to face him, closing the door as she was pulled back onto the seat. "What?" She said with an exasperated sigh.

Dylan exhaled slowly, remembering exactly what he sought out to do, what he was inspired to do.

"You may wanna live in fear for the rest of your life but I don't. We've both made a lot of bad choices. It's time we make the right one... I choose you. I want you. I've always wanted you." He assured, "...But I'm not chasing you forever. It's time you finally make a decision."

Kelly looked up at him, shocked

"You've got until Saturday."

"That's the day of Steve's wedding..." She crinkled her forehead but he ignored her.

"If you choose me, I'll be waiting at the top of the BelAge hotel by the pool at 12." He said firmly, "If you're not there... I'll take that as your answer. And we'll be over for good."

"Dylan-" She objected

"-I mean it. If you still can't choose me, I'm done."
