Tob: There's only a couple of chapters left now :( I'm trying to drag it out so you get a bit more :D xxx

All the guest reviews, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Love and appreciate it xxx

This story has been the most challenging to write which has made it so enjoyable for me so to read the reviews makes me so happy. All your input definitely helped it become so much richer and when I look at my first story and then at this one, I feel how much I've been challenged as a writer for the better. I'm not much of a novelist, I do better as a dialogue writer, but this story has really pushed me to get creative, so thank you all for taking this crazy journey with me xoxoxoxox

Feel The Magic

All my thoughts just seem to settle on the breeze
When I'm lying wrapped up in your arms
The whole world just fades away
The only thing I hear
Is the beating of your heart

In a way I know my heart is waking up
As all the walls come tumbling down
I'm closer than I've ever felt before
And I know
And you know
There's no need for words right now

Kelly and Dylan arrived at his house after Steve's wedding.

She placed the bouquet down as he insisted she wait while he went to get a vase.

He came back from the kitchen and placed the flowers inside the vase. He then turned to look at her, beautiful in that purple gown.

As her phone went off, she grabbed it from her purse.

"...Text from Donna." She explained. "They just arrived home. Pam's staying with Delilah tonight."

Dylan nodded, "And James went with Tommy and Cam to the peach pit." He stared at her with those Dylan McKay eyes, knowing full well that they were going to be home alone for at least a couple of hours.

"Alright..." She tried to sound nonchalant but her coy smile got the better of her.

"So..." He leaned back against the wall, smirking at her - as cool, calm and collected on the outside as always

"So..." She inhaled, trying not to blush from his piercing gaze.

Before she could utter another word, they instantaneously came crashing into each other before he grabbed her and pulled her close.

His lips immediately found hers; they hungrily inhaled each other's kisses, not letting their lips part for a second.

The combination of moans and heavy inhalations smothered the air between them before their tongues finally massaged one another.

Their yearning to taste each other was satiated with each desperate, slobbery kiss.

His hand reached up to remove the clip that was holding her hair up, letting it flow down her back so he could entangle his fingers in it.

They continued to stumble over to his bed, as their lips latched onto each other's. Once they were in the room, her hands immediately reached up for his tie. She removed it over his head, forcing them out of their kiss. She let his tie fall to the floor. He stood there watching her as she reached to the side of her dress and began to unzip it. He gazed at her body as the dress fell to her ankles before quickly unbuttoning his shirt.

As they excitedly watched the other undress, it didn't take long for them to be nude. As soon as the last item of clothing was torn off, he rushed over to her, and they both fell into bed.

He slouched over her, putting a pillow under her head.

He gawked at her for a moment before leaning down so the tip of his nose would brush past hers.

"You're so fucking perfect." He whispered before she felt his open mouth press against her neck. He eagerly devoured her neck while digging his bulge into her. She let out satisfying moans as she felt his lips on her skin. She felt flutters when she heard him grunt with that sexy, growly voice of his, as he rubbed up against her.

His mouth continued to travel down from her neck to in between her breasts as she moaned out with pleasure. She could feel his breath on her breasts which only teased her more.

Her hands finally reached down to pull him back up. As he kissed his way back up to her chin, he nibbled on it before his tongue entered her mouth. After another series of desperate kisses in between heavy inhalations, his shaft finally slid inside her.

She gasped out with intense pleasure as she felt his throbbing member inside her.

He slowly made love to her. They both began to feel enchanted by their writhing bodies moving as one.

The sensation had her feeling like she was floating on air, as his quivering member thrusted inside her, his hands worshipped her body, and his lips continued to tantalize her with his titillating tongue on her neck.

He continued to plunge into her with force, and as he ravaged her all night long, she was so seduced at this point, she couldn't even remember her name

As steam surrounded them, she felt a buildup, feeling so aroused as the explosion was about to set off any minute. She screamed with pleasure and his blurry vision could see nothing but her body. He buried his head in her soft, silky skin, nuzzling into her as he felt the vibrations of her body. He was about to burst from the sensation of their synchronized passion.

As the fire inside them grew, they both finally felt the release. Pleasured by the sound of the woman he loves orgasming, he lifted his head up to watch her as he came as well.

She couldn't take her eyes off him. His gorgeous hair so effortlessly styled, his piercing eyes, sexy jawline and that half smirk of his made her heart skip a beat. He remained on top of her as they caught their breath, knowing that they didn't have to leave. They could stay here forever.

Finally, they could be themselves, and as they gazed into each other's eyes, he drawled: "I love you..."

"I love you more." She smiled as her fingers gently stroked the back of his neck.

"Not possible." He grinned before planting an aggressive kiss on her lips.

Kelly awoke, turning to a sleeping Dylan beside her. She watched him sleep for a bit, taking in the moment. It had been so long since they had woken up together.

She couldn't contain her happiness; they were finally together.

She finally got out of bed, and heard noise coming from the living room. She looked at her dress on the floor and knew she'd have to find something decent to wear since James was home.

She got up and searched through Dylan's closet, finding one of his blue shirts and black sweatpants.

She entered the living room and found Dylan's son on the couch, watching TV.

"Hi..." She breathed out as she slowly made her way towards him

"Hi." He said monotonously, after a quick glance.

She sat on the arm of the sofa, staring in the direction of the tv with no interest in what was on.

"I'm thinking of making eggs... you want some?" She began, thinking it was a good way to keep the interaction casual and make James feel at ease.

"Sure." He said politely before turning to face the kitchen, "The pan is-"

"-I remember" She jumped up as he pointed in the direction.

"Oh." James said curtly, realizing that she had been here before many times. "Right."

Kelly observed him as he continued to aimlessly stare into space.

"...I know what it's like, you know. That feeling you're feeling right now... " She paused. "When I was a kid, I watched men come out my mother's bedroom one too many times. Some would rush out the door, others would try to talk to me. The old father figure..."

James let out a sheepish sigh. "I know it's not like that. I know how much my dad loves you."

"I know but that doesn't make it easy." She huffed. James appreciated her understanding.

"Can I ask you something?" He began

"Sure," she smiled

"Something personal." He elaborated

"...Yeah," She let out a soft murmur

"How'd you get there?" He shrugged, "Pam says her and her grandmother are so close. How did you get to that place? I mean, when you and your mother didn't always see eye to eye?"

"We definitely didn't." Kelly laughed. "But I understand her better now. She understands me better."

"But you didn't always agree with the stuff she did in the past..."

"I still don't." Kelly shrugged

"So how'd you get past all that?"

Kelly let out a deep breath as she joined him on the couch.

"Well, you pay attention. Remember that your parents are human too. Notice when they try to change... You see, my mother did a lot of things I didn't like. But Erin's mother, she did great. So I don't dwell on what Jackie used to be. I pay attention to who she has become, and I love and appreciate the woman my sister and my daughter get to see."

James rested his head back, pondering that thought. Kelly watched him. From this angle, he looked so much like his dad.

"Look I know I didn't have to go through the stuff you did. Pam's told me a lot. And hearing that... yeah, I appreciate how much my dad shielded me. But, although it could have been worse, we both know what it's like to grow up with alcoholic parents."

"No." Kelly smiled. "What we both have are parents who defeated their addictions."

James turned to face her, and smiled at her appreciatively.

"...So, eggs?" She asked again in an upbeat tone.

And James nodded in response with a grin, "Eggs would be perfect."

Once Dylan woke up, he got dressed and began to head out to the kitchen. Once he exited, he stood there fore a moment as he watched Kelly and his son at the dining table, chattering away, laughing as they ate their eggs. He smiled to himself.

"Good morning!" She said once she got up and walked over to him. She planted a soft kiss on his lips. "I'm just gonna go shower."

He grinned at her as she walked off. He then joined his son at the table, helping himself to some eggs.

"She's great." James finally said, which made Dylan grin from ear to ear.

"I'm really glad you're getting along."

"You light up around her." James added. "I'm happy to see you happy... "

Dylan squeezed his son's shoulder. "Thanks, son."

"So, when you do decide to go for it, you have my blessing." James announced

"What?" Dylan asked with a mouthful. He cocked an eyebrow, confused.

"I saw the ring you've been hiding in your drawer."

"Hi Pam!" Dylan said as he opened the door.

"Hi..." She murmured anxiously as she walked in.

"Hey!" James came to greet her at the door.

"Hey. So.. how is it?" She asked as soon as Dylan was out of earshot

"It's been... alright." James said with an easygoing tone.

"Alright?" Pamela scoffed with a chuckle, "When you texted me about your dad wanting me to come for a family dinner, I thought you were kidding!"

"Relax." James laughed, "It's all good, really."

"Not awkward?" She asked

"Come on, let's go eat." He insisted, leading her to the dining table, "Your mum made pasta."

"So... Did you manage to go home yet?" Kelly asked as the four of them sat down to eat.

Pamela observed her mother. "I know what you're really asking..."

"What's she really asking?" James turned to face her

"My mum wants to know if I got accepted at California University."

"Did you?" He asked

Pamela pursed her lips as her eyes shifted from James' to her mother's "...yes!"

"Oh yes!" Kelly squealed with excitement

"That's great!" Dylan grinned with a nod

"Yeah... " Pamela sighed, "Now I just have to convince Tommy to come with me."

"Well, at least Cam will be there." Dylan suggested

"Yeah but it's different. He'll be in the year above me." She said before turning to James. "I'd love it you'd apply!"

"I don't know, Pam." James shrugged

"You're going to apply soon right? Otherwise you'll miss the deadline."

"I don't know yet." He huffed

"But you could take literature. Your favorite!" She insisted

"I can read literature for free at home without having to take the other classes." He remarked

"Jimmy doesn't have to go." Dylan shook his head, "I didn't go."

"Actually you dropped out." Kelly corrected and Dylan jokingly glared at her

"You don't want me to go, mum does." James eyed his father

"Well, it's your decision." Dylan shrugged

"Is it?" James sighed

"Look, you'll know when it feels right. You'll know where to go." Kelly assured James

"Funny, that's exactly what my mum said." James exhaled

"Well, she's right" Kelly breathed out, anxiously "...You know, I thought I didn't wanna go but then... I get this great apartment on the beach." She said before turning to her daughter, "The one I told you about with uncle David and Aunt Donna? Anyway, I get to CU and start taking psychology and it was perfect!"

"Whoa hey hey it was perfect when you lived with me." Dylan interjected smugly

"Well, that too." She smirked and she and Dylan shared a quick kiss which quickly turned into a full-on smooch.

"Oh god." Pamela whispered, trying not to laugh as she turned to James.

"You wanna go out?" James said as they both felt uncomfortable

"Yes!" She said before they hurried out.

Kelly and Dylan chuckled in between kisses as they embarrassed their kids.

"I'm meeting Tommy at the peach pit in a bit if you wanna join..." Pamela said as she and James sat in her car.

"Nah, you guys go ahead. Say hi for me!" He smiled at her.

"Well, you can always come crash at mine." Pamela suggested, "Looks like my mother's staying here again tonight."

"Thanks but I think I'll just go to my mother's." James assured

"Okay..." She politely nodded. "...You sure you're okay?"

"Hey listen... " He chuckled, "You got nothing to worry about. I'm happy for you and Tommy. Friends forever remember?" He grinned

She leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Thanks." She uttered as he got out the car. "Love ya!"

"Love ya too." He called back before shutting the car door.

The next morning, Dylan stared at Kelly sleeping beside him.

He then snuck the engagement ring under her pillow. As his hands slid out from underneath her pillow, her eyes fluttered open.

"Morning camper," He beamed at her.

"Hi..." She smiled sweetly as she stretched her arms out

"You look beautiful..." He whispered as his fingers traced her jawline

"Hmm you're not too hard on the eyes either." She grinned.

Suddenly, Dylan sat up

"What was that?" His eyes glued to the bed

"What?" She gasped worriedly

"There! Under your pillow."

"What?" She sat upright immediately, fearfully. "Don't tell me it's a bug!"

"I don't know..." He shrugged

"Well, check it!" She snapped impatiently. "Lift the pillow!"

"Alright, alright." Dylan agreed. He picked up her pillow, displaying the engagement ring underneath it. Her jaw dropped once she laid eyes on it. She then turned to face him and smiled

"Oh my god... " She said breathlessly, "Dylan..."

"Come here." He said as he held out his hand. She placed her hand in his and he kissed it.

She observed him as he took a deep breath and continued: "I've had this ring for almost 20 years. That's a choice. And I want you to wear it. I've always wanted you to wear my ring. Because after everything we've been through, there's still always magic between us. And because I believe that even when things get hard or we feel like giving up, two people can choose to commit every day. I choose to love you forever, and I don't want to wait for forever to start."

She gazed up at him in awe.

"So, Kelly Marlene Taylor." He smirked. "Marry me."

"You are crazy." She chuckled. "We've been back together a day!"

"You're right." He pretended to ponder, "We should wait. I mean, it's only been a couple of decades."

Kelly laughed. "No. You're right. I don't wanna wait."

"That's a yes?" He asked

"That's a yes!" She giddily chirped as he placed the ring on her finger.

'Cause I can feel you breathe
It's washing over me
Suddenly I'm melting into you
There's nothing left to prove
Baby all we need is just to be
Caught up in the touch
The slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

I can feel the magic floating in the air
Being with you gets me that way
