You know him well, the rising star of the circuit, the Silver Battler himself!" He said, as the crowd cheered, while a gray haired boy, whos eyes are orange, and wearing a "battle" suit, as if he were about to pilot a mecha suit.
1.5 million...That's just enough for her operation. They thought to themself, solemnly. But still, I'm gonna make sure it's a straight fight, the whole way through!
"And his opponent for the night, you know him well! And if you've seen him, you've probably been banned before! Give it up for the infamous...CIPHER!" The man called out, as Adrian walked up onto the arena as well.
"So, you're the infamous Cipher, eh? Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pumped. You better not hold back, got it?" The boy asked, grinning. "Let's do this!" He said, as his field immediately appeared.
"There's no way this isn't Percy." Pip commented, Adrian glancing over at him.
"Yeah." He agreed while checking his starting hand, narrowing his eyes at one card, before putting others back, as the boy seemed to perk up.
"Oh? So you know me. That's neat." Percy commented. "Let's go then, Cipher! Stand up, Vanguard!" he called out, as a small mecha appeared. "Extreme Rush Battler, Petit Ace!"
"...Stand up, my, vanguard." Adrian declared, as the small mage appeared, looked at all of the crowd staring at her, and immediately covered her face in embarrassment. "Astral Dragon Mage."
"In that case, allow me to get this fight underway!" Percy declared, drawing. "Ride!" he called out while discarding a card, before leaping up into the air, and landing inside the unit he rode, piloting it. "Extreme Rush Battler, Kendhol "SWIFT"! Petit moves back, and my turn is over!"
"Nova Grapplers, huh? You better get ready to get attacked a lot." Pip said, having turned into the device on Adrian's hand again.
"I know." Adrian said, drawing. Still, I disabled the rigging on my deck. I don't like using underhanded tactics as is. Still, I shouldn't try to raise any suspicion about it...At least not yet. He thought, before looking down at his device. "Pip. Do a background check on Percy." He instructed. "I'll be fine without you."
"If you say so...Don't lose too quickly without me, Cipher." Pip said, vanishing, as Adrian tossed up a card that disintegrated. "I ride from the ride deck. Astral Dragon, Spectral Codebreaker Dragon. Astral Dragon Mage moves back, I receive a quick shield ticket, and with a boost, attacks your vanguard."

"It's here! Star Nova!" A crowdgoer cheered.

"You mean cooler, right?" A third one asked.
"I release the generation zone!" Adrian added, holding out a card that disintegrated in his hand, as the vortex engulfed Star Nova again, as they came out in their other form. "With a pulse of unknown energy, A new hero rises, and shines light on this world of darkness! Generation Stride!" He called out, as the dragon let out a roar as well. "Astral Dragon Code, World Star Nova! Stride Skill!" He added, counterblasting and soulblasting. "From my deck, I superior call Cipher Beast, add 5000 Power!" He called out, as the beast appeared. "In addition, when a grade 3 or greater vanguard with Star Nova in its card name is placed, Astral Dragon Mage's effect!" He called out, as the small girl let out a sigh of relief as she vanished into the soul. "From the top 5 cards of my deck, I add Moon Hacker Dragon to my hand!" He said, as he tapped the card, as the other 4 vanished. "Then, I call that Moon Hacker Dragon." he added, as the dragon appeared behind Cipher Beast.

"Cipher Beast's effect activates." Adrian added, counterblasting and soulblasting again. "I draw one card, and Cipher Beast gets an additional 10000 power."
"Huh? But then you won't have enough for World Star Nova's effect." Percy commented, looking at a screen, almost disappointed.
"You think I'd make such a careless move?" Adrian asked, before tossing a card. "I call Cosmos Cobalt Dragon, and his effect activates." he said, moving them to the soul. "I put Astral Dragon Mage into my hand, and counter charge." he declared. "In addition, call. Spectral Codebreak Dragon. World Star Nova's effect." he declared, counterblasting and flipping another copy up. "I draw one card, and because I have two or more rear guards with Firewall, get an additional drive. Then, because I gained drive by this ability, Cipher Beast gets resist until the end of the turn." They added, as a blue aura engulfed Cipher Beast. "Battle! Cipher Beast attacks your Vanguard with a boost from Moon Hacker Dragon!"

"When Cipher Beast's attack hits, I counter charge." Adrian declared. "Then, Moon Hacker Dragon's effect. He moves to the soul, and I counter charge again. World Star Nova attacks your vanguard."

When Extreme Gunner is used as the stride cost, I can superior call him! Then, Stride Skill!" He added, counterblasting and soulblasting. "Malyaki and Extreme Gunner get an additional skill! Then, they get 5000 Power until the end of the turn! Then, Call! Golshachi! Victor's effect activates!" He added, flipping another copy of it. "My vanguard acquires two skills! Now here we go, because I'm not holding anything back!" He declared.

"Then, I guard!" He added, as Astral Dragon Mage flew in, and covered her face in embarrassment again when she realized the fight was still being intently watched.

"What..?!" Percy asked, shocked, before taking a deep breath. "No, it's fine...You have 1 card left in your hand, and all 4 of your complete guards are in the drop zone now...I can do this! Golshachi!" He called out, as Adrian's drop zone took on a multicolored glow. "What..?"

"Right, right, so! Turns out his sister Susie Courbin's in the hospital." Pip started, as Adrian's eyes slightly widened, before looking up at the clearly ready to accept defeat Victor, with Percy inside.

"Yeah. Coronary artery disease, she doesn't have long to live, and the procedure to save her life is way too expensive. She'd need a whole heart transplant." Pip said.
So that's why he's so desperate to win this fight...And that bastard was willing to scam him out of all of that money to save his sister..! Adrian thought, enraged. In that case...Percy, just hold on, I'll make this right! He thought, before drawing, and looking at what he drew. Looks like you agree. He thought. "...Ride! One more time, Astral Dragon, Star Nova." he called out, as the dragon let out a roar.

"Imaginary Gift: Force 2." Adrian added, tossing it to a front row rear guard circle. "Then, I activate my skill, Encryption Crash." He added. "I draw one card, my vanguard acquires a skill, and because I have 2 or less rear guards, I superior call Blade Mistress from my deck." he said, as the woman showed up, giving a sympathetic look to Percy.
"What're you doing..?" Percy asked.
"The right thing." Adrian said, before pointing forward. "Blade Mistress attacks your vanguard. Her Firewall Hack allows her to also attack Golshachi." he said, as the attack connected.

No way...The little brat actually won...That's it, I have to go to plan B! They said pushing a button on a screen, as Percy suddenly vanished.
"What the..?! That cheat removed his hacker software to glitch him outside!" Pip said, annoyed.
"I wasn't expecting him to play fair...Which is why the higher ups should be there any minute." Adrian said, as the crowd seemed to gasp, as Adrian vanished as well.
"Cipher..! I should've known..!" The man said, agitated, before seeing people already infiltrating. "No...Not like this...NOT LIKE THIS!"
"Man...To think you were such a softie the whole time!" Pip said. "Threw a whole fight just to try and help, even though the guy weaseled out in the end...But still, if he's gonna run off or have the money confiscated due to being dirty money, how's he gonna help his sister?" He asked, as Adrian was back in the real world at night with his hood up, walking into the hospital building.
"...The internet is a vast weapon, but it can also be used for good. Those hackers' money was being gambled on to continue a fight ring and promote selfish enabling habits. They won't miss it." Adrian said, staring through the room door as Percy was on the ground...crying tears of joy.
"You mean it?! She can get the operation?!" Percy asked the nurse, who seemed shocked by his attitude.
"U-Um...Yes...A stranger donated the money for her operation. It was quite strange, really..." The nurse told him.
"You hear that, Susie..?! You're gonna make it!" Percy said, holding the young girl's hand, as she smiled at him. "Did...Did the donor give their name?" He asked.
"Well, not really...All they left was "Cipher"." The nurse told Percy, who perked up.
"Cipher..?!" He asked, before seemingly putting two and two together. "So...Cipher saved me...and you, Sis." Percy said, still tearing up from joy. "I...I don't think I can ever repay the guy, I don't even know if I'll even get a chance to thank him..."
"Aww...You really are a softie!" Pip commented to Adrian, who simply smiled, closed his eyes, and walked out of the building.
