1..? When they have the opportunity to push me further? Nilam wondered, as the dragon powered up, before immediately rushing forward. And they're attacking immediately? She thought, before seeing Conroe still behind them. Not to mention since they guarded, they didn't get a chance to use Conroe to guarantee a perfect guard or stride fodder... "No guard..!" She declared, as the dragon let out a slash.

She said, as the quick shield in her hand disintegrated, as she held up a card that manifested in her hand. "Soar! Black wings of revenge! Let none stand in your way! Ride!" Nilam called out, as an aura of darkness engulfed her vanguard, before changing form, as a cloaked individual with angelic black wings and a hood appeared, holding out two blades. "Avenger Soul, Reaper Angel! Imaginary Gift: Force 2! In addition, Skill card, Online." She added, holding out the marker. "Then, I release the generation zone."
"Alright, let's see what you've got!" Percy said with a grin.
"With pleasure. Generation Stride!" Nilam declared, as the reaper angel suddenly vanished, before a rather eldritch being appeared in his place. "Blood Avenger Soul, Dimension Deity...The stride skill isn't much use right now, so I'll go ahead and call." she said, tossing cards. "Void Phoenix. Mystery Demon. Necro Lord." She declared, as the three cards filled up the front row, and the non-center back row spot. "Then, Dimension Deity's effect." she added, flipping another copy of it up. "Drive plus 1. In exchange, my opponent chooses one of my rear guards and retires it." They started.
"But wait, retiring your rear guards isn't a bonus..!" Percy started.
"Nor will it be their choice." Nilam added, pointing forward. "Necro Lord's effect. My opponent's choice of rear guards by my card effects are irrelevant...So I declare that you choose Void Phoenix." they declared, as a ray of flames started to fly at them, only for the phoenix to remain standing.
"What..?" Percy asked. "Why didn't it retire?"
"Void Phoenix's effect. My effects that would retire it don't retire it...but still activate my Vengeance effects." Nilam said, holding her hand out, as the purple aura suddenly engulfed all of her units. "While Dimension Deity is in vengeance, add 15000 Power." she added. "Let's go...With a boost from Void Lancer, Void Phoenix attacks your vanguard. While he's in vengeance, Generation Break 2. His attack can't be guarded by just one unit." She declared.
"No guard, then..!" The fighter said, taking a hit.

"3 damage...They rode Overlord first...Their plan is to..!" Adrian started, before the fighter held their hand out.
"Dragnal's effect activates!" They declared, counterblasting twice as overlord left the soul. "Two damage to your vanguard, and your trigger effects are nullified!" they called out, as two spheres of flames flew out towards the angel, blowing up on contact, as Adrian had to speed up to get out of the way, while Nilam seemed to let out a yelp of pain from the recoil as is.
"Are you alright?" Adrian asked, as the top two cards were already in the damage zone.
"It's no big deal." Nilam said, coughing a bit, before taking out a card, and tossing it. "Complete Guard..! Avenger Soul, Void Paladin..!" she said, discarding a card as well.
"No...NO!" The fighter started, as a strange aura started enveloping them.
"What the hell is that..?!" Percy asked.
"Twin Drive..! I won't lose...I WON'T LOSE!" They called out, before the top two cards one by one appeared with a glow.

"...I release the Generation Zone!" She declared, as a dragon held up by strings appeared. "Puppet Dragon! Their effect activates!" Nilam added, soulblasting. "I superior call Void Falcon from the drop zone as a guardian, add 5000 Shield!" she added, tossing the card. "In addition, guard with a Void Phoenix, and Intercept with the one on the field!" She declared, as the three birds joined the dragon to stop out the attack.
"...My turn is over..." The fighter said, as the aura was still there.
"Then it's time we finished this." Nilam declared, drawing. "I release the Generation Zone." She said, tossing a card, before reaper angel vanished again, before a large skeletal being appeared. "Blood Avenger Soul, Skull King. Stride Skill." She added, counterblasting and soulblasting. "I choose Bellicosity. From my deck, I superior call an Avenger Soul with the same grade." she said, before tossing a card. "I superior call Undread Dragon. In addition, the rear guard I chose retires." she added, pointing a finger gun at Bellicosity, who suddenly disintegrated. "In addition, when Undread Dragon is placed, I can retire Void Lancer. I move him behind the vanguard. Vengeance"
"Whoa...She picked now to make her move? But they've got at least two complete guards in their hand...Not to mention can safely no guard one of the rear guards..." Percy noted.

"What..?" The fighter asked, seemingly shocked. "They were already in vengeance...but now you've given them a critical..?!"
"In addition, call. Avenger Soul, Bloody Apparition. His effect activates." Nilam added, as the red mist being suddenly blew up. "I draw one card."
"Retiring a rear guard to draw a card? Isn't that even- Wait a goddamn minute." Percy realized.
"Exactly. She just retired a rear guard by a card effect." Adrian noted, as the back row rear guards suddenly engulfed in a purple aura, as well as the skull king. "Now all of her rear guards are in vengeance."
"In addition, I call Mystery Demon behind my last rear guard." Nilam added. "Now...With a boost from Mystery Demon, Undread Dragon attacks your vanguard!" she called out.
"In that case...Generation Guard!" The fighter said, as a phoenix suddenly clawed away at the dragon. "Denial Griffin!"
"Useless. Necro Lord's effect. When a rear guard is retired during my turn, I can pay a cost to revive it." Nilam declared, counterblasting. "In addition, Undread Dragon and Necro Lord receive 5000 Power."
"Retiring them won't even get rid of them..?!" Percy asked, surprised.
"No...It's like a spirit of revenge, always coming back." Adrian noted.
"Now, Necro Lord attacks your vanguard!" Nilam declared.
"Complete Guard..!" The fighter said, worriedly, as they were starting to struggle to stay steady on their vehicle.
"Skull King!" Nilam declared, holding their hand out.
"Tch..! I'll endure it! I'll absolutely endure it! COMPLETE GUARD!" The fighter called out.
"...And with that, you've dug your grave." Nilam said, narrowing her eyes and speaking in a colder tone. "Triple drive." She added, before the top 3 cards revealed themselves.

"I give the effects to Necro Lord." Nilam declared.
"What did you say..?" The fighter asked, slightly surprised.
"At the end of the battle Skull King attacked while in vengeance..! Generation Break 4!" Nilam then said, soulblasting while dropping two cards from her hand. "All rear guards that are in Vengeance stand!" She declared, as her entire board of rear guards stood back up. "In addition, because a rear guard behind my vanguard stood, I reveal a Critical or Stand trigger from my hand, and activate its effect!" She declared, showing Void Paladin to the fighter, who seemed more than a little shocked.
"No...No no no..." The fighter started.
"I give the power to Undread Dragon, and the critical to Necro Lord." Nilam declared. "Undread Dragon attacks."
"C-Complete Guard..!" The fighter started, before seeing Necro Lord let out a blast. "No..! NO!" They started, before the impact blew up on the road, as the vehicle seemed to tip over, as the aura started to slowly fade while the group was getting away.
"Damn! For a principal's daughter, you're pretty good!" Percy commented.
"So, I believe now you understand that this arrangement of working together is in our favor." Nilam said. "In that case...I look forward to working with you, Cipher, and you as well, Silver Battler."
...As much as I hate to admit it, Nilam's calculating, tactical and clearly knows what she's doing. Fine, I'll keep her around until we can get to the root of this problem. Adrian thought to himself while driving.
