In The Sun Again
Dark times
Took us off our feet and let us fall.
We had enough to make it to the other side.
I'm not believing that it wasn't meant to be
I know that we can hold for brighter times.
In The Sun Again - NCT ft. Laura Brehm
Honoka stares out the window at the rain that has been pelting her home for the entire morning. She lets out a sigh at the sight of little water streams running down the window. From behind Marie Rose walks up and leans on her shoulder.
"You look down," Marie Rose tells her. "Are you okay?"
"It is just the weather," Honoka responds with her chin in her hands. "It is kind of depressing."
"It will pass," Maire Rose says, placing a kiss on Honoka's cheek. "We just need to find something to pass the time."
"Like what? Any suggestions."
"We could take a bath," the blonde responds. "That should cheer you up."
Honoka eyes move up and down Maire's petite body "Oh I bet it would," she says as a grin forms on her face.
"Hey now," Marie Rose says, looking out the window. "I meant to relax. You said it yourself that you were kind of depressed."
Honoka takes the blonde's hand. "Anything with you cheers me up."
Marie Rose gives the hand a squeeze. "That is why I am here."
"Alright then," Honoka says with a smile. "Let's go."
Honoka leads them through the house toward the bathroom. She closes the door behind them and watches as Marie Rose takes out the ties to free her blonde strands.
"You look so much different with your hair down." Honoka tells her.
"I feel different," Maire Rose replies, running her fingers through her hair. "I like it better tied."
Honoka begins to strip off her clothes. "I could wash it for you. I want to touch it."
"If you insist," Maire Rose replies as she also strips down. "Be my guest."
Maire Rose runs the water and they slip into the tub. They sit on opposite sides and face each other as they soak in the hot liquid.
"Feeling better Honoka?" Marie Rose asks.
"Yes." She slips down to her chin in the water. "This is nice."
"Good." Marie Rose grabs a bottle of shampoo from behind her and hands it to Honoka. "Here."
Honoka's light red eyes scan the label for a moment as Marie Rose turns her back and throws her now wet hair over her shoulders.
"Pink coconut?" Honoka reads aloud from the bottle.
"Yup. It made me think of you. "I can't wait to try it."
"Here we go," Honoka says with a grin as she squirts the contents of the bottle on her hand. She begins to gently rub it into the blonde's soft scalp. "This stuff smells pretty good."
Marie Rose lets out a soft hum. "This feels nice."
"I aim to please."
"Sounds like you are feeling better," Marie Rose tells her.
"Yes I am," Honoka responds. "This is fun." She takes a few strands in her hand. "You have such pretty hair."
"Why thank you. But I really like your color." She begins to blush. "Also your...you know."
Honoka leans into her with a grin. "You mean this Marie?"
Her heart rate rises from the pressure on her back. "Don't rub it in," she lets out.
Honoka takes the shower nozzle and begins to rinse out the shampoo. After she has finished, they switch places and Maire Rose takes the shampoo herself.
"Your turn," she says, squirting a bit in her hand.
"Go ahead," Honoka replies.
Marie Rose begins to work the shampoo in the salmon strands of fiber. She hums to herself as her fingers fell their way through Honoka's hair.
"Your hands truly are a gift," Honoka says with a smile on her face.
"They are my tools," Marie Rose responds. "And I like to work with them."
"Well you are doing a great job."
Maire Rose finishes scrubbing and rinses out the suds. They sit side by side in the tub and lean on one another.
"This was a good idea," Honoka says. "I feel a lot better."
"Good to hear," Marie Rose responds. "Glad I could help."
"We should get out soon." Honoka stares at her hands. "I am starting to feel like a raisin."
"Okay," Maire Rose responds as she stands in the tub. "Before we get stuck in here."
Honoka watches water drip from her girlfriend's petite body. She lets out a yelp and shields her eyes to try to calm herself.
"Are you okay Honoka?" Marie Rose asks with a grin. "Like what you see?"
Honoka takes a breath and rises to meet her gaze. She pulls the blonde close and their lips brush against each other. "Yes I do," Honoka breathes. "Yes I do."
Honoka reaches for a towel to dry them off. She wraps the white cloth around their bodies and begins to soak up the water.
"I can do it myself," Marie Rose says as their bodies press against each other.
"That's no fun," Honoka says as she takes another towel. She hands it over. "If you insist."
Marie Rose takes the second towel and dries herself off. After they have finished, they head for the bedroom to change into a set of comfortable sweats. Marie Rose glances over her shoulder out the window. "Looks like it is clearing up," she says.
They make their way for the kitchen to find a drink. Honoka opens the fridge and checks the contents. "Want some juice?" she asks.
"Sure," Marie Rose responds as she takes a seat at the table.
Honoka takes a couple cans from the fridge and closes the door. She walks over to the table and hands one to the blonde.
"Thank you," she responds as she takes the beverage. She opens the tab and takes a sip.
Honoka places her drink on the table and looks through the window over the sink. The sunshine begins to peek through the clouds as water droplets slide down the glass. Her face lights up with the sky as a grin forms on her lips.
"There is that smile," the blonde says, glancing at her girlfriend.
Honoka turns to face her. "Yes," she says. She takes the other girl's hand and leads her toward the front door. After throwing it open, they head outside the front porch to the sidewalk a few feet from the house. Honoka throws her hands toward the sky and lets out a laugh.
Marie Rose stands next to her and grins at her antics. Nice to see her back in a good mood, she thinks to herself as she watches Honoka dance in a puddle.
"Come here," Honoka says as she pulls the blonde close to her. Maire Rose leans in and the two lock into a kiss. They separate and Honoka's smile grows wider.
"Should we head back inside," Marie Rose asks.
Honoka looks up to the now blue sky. "Let's just enjoy the weather," she answers. "Now that we can."
