Alibi - Krewella
"Mask, bag, gloves." Kasumi checks over the supplies for their latest bank job with her partners in crime and siblings Hayate and Ayane. They have been pulling heists across the country for a number of years, always able to evade the authorities.
"Ryu just texted my burner," Hayate says, checking his phone. "He should be here any minute with the car." He checks it again. "And our hacker 'Maiden'."
Ayane slips a full clip into her black assault rifle. "Are we all going in one?"
"There will be enough room for all five of us."
"Just as long as it is fast," Kasumi replies.
"And dark," Ayane adds.
A few minutes later there is the sound of a high revving JDM outside. The three head out the door of their safe house where a black Evo X is parked just outside. Ryu rolls down the black tinted glass and lays an arm out the window.
"One getaway at your service," he says with a grin. He points his thumb inside. "And one hot hacker."
A dark haired girl leans over the center console. "Nice to meet you," she says.
Kasumi gives her a closer look and her eyes widen with surprise. "I know you," she says. "You were the one who wired a bunch of money from an offshore account of the Douglas family."
A wide grin forms on her face. "Guilty," she says. "Please. Call me Momiji."
"Shall we go." Ryu points to the rear seat. "Hop in."
They place the bags in the trunk and pile in the back seat. They go over the plan one last time as they make their way through the late night city streets over to the bank. Ryu pulls up to the curb and puts the car in park.
"Here we are," Ryu says. "Your up Maiden."
"On it," Momiji replies as she begins to type away on her laptop. After just a few short moments she gives a thumbs up. "Good to go."
Kasumi, Ayane, and Hayate lower their masks over their faces and exit the car. They march up the front door with guns in hand and bags over their shoulders. Ayane carries a small bag with tools for getting into the safe. She makes quick work of the locked front door.
"Open sesame," Ayane says with a grin as she slowly opens the glass entryway. The three quietly make their way inside the building. Once inside, they take a quick glance around the large lobby.
"This way," Hayate says with a low voice. He leads his sisters toward the back of the bank where the vault is located. "You're up again Ayane."
"On it." Ayane hands her gun over to Kasumi and walks up to the large metal door. She removes a drill from her bag and begins to create a hole in the door where the locking mechanism is located.
Kasumi watches Ayane closely as she works on unlocking the vault. The way her fingers move with intent. The copper haired girl begins to feel a heat rise up within her. She tries to calm herself with a long breath.
"Are you okay," Hayate asks her in a low voice. "You look stressed."
Kasumi shakes her head and gives him a small smile. "Just excited."
Their attention moves to the sound of a clunk as the tumblers shift positions. Ayane slowly swings open the door, revealing its contents. "Easy," she says.
Behind the door stacks of crisp cash lay in neat, separate groups. They quickly set to work filling their bags with as they can carry.
"Good thing we brought the big bags. There is a lot here." Hayate surveys the stacks. He flashes a grin at Kasumi. "Think you can carry it?"
Kasumi places another bundle in her bag. "Don't underestimate me," she says. "Remember I once had to carry gold bricks up five flights of stairs. While holding off a group of guards."
"Oh yeah in France," Ayane says as she recalls that night. "That was fun."
"For you," Hayate says. "I got shot."
"Don't be such a baby. It was just a flesh wound."
Kasumi throws her now loaded bag of cash on her back. "Are you ready?"
"Let's go," Ayane answers.
The trio quickly head for the exit. Hayate radios their getaway to be prepared. They carry their loot through the doors and into the night air. After throwing their bags in the trunk, they climb in the back of the car.
"That was quick," Ryu says as she puts the car in gear and pulls away from the curb. "No trouble?"
"Easy," Ayane answers after she removes her mask.
"And we got a good haul," Hayate adds.
Momiji quickly resets the security system. "Like you weren't even here."
They make their way back to the safehouse and Ryu pulls the car into the garage. He switches off the engine and there is a sigh of relief from the group. There is the sound of the trunk popping open that grabs their attention. Ryu opens his door and is the first to exit the car. "Good work," he says, rising to his feet.
"Yeah," Momiji adds. "I should ride along more often."
Ayane opens her door and steps out. "Though I am kind of disappointed I didn't get to shoot anything." She eyes her gun. "I didn't even take the safety off."
"We are just that good," Hayate tells her. "In and out."
Kasumi is the last to climb out of the back. She unzips her black jacket, revealing a black tank top. She watches as Ayane strolls out of the room After throwing her jacket on a nearby table, she heads out of the room after her.
Hayate removes a couple bags of cash from the trunk of the car. He begins handing them off to Ryu, who sets them on a large table. Momiji puts her computer away, then walks over to join them. "Looks like you guys did pretty good," she says as Ryu goes over their haul.
Ryu quickly flips through a bundle with a wide grin. "Pretty good is an understatement. We can each split quite a stack."
"This is where it is all worth it," Hayate says. He looks in the direction where Kasumi and Ayane recently walked out. "Where did they go?"
"I heard Kasumi tell her that she wanted to have a word," Momiji answers.
Meanwhile in a separate room a short walk from the others, Ayane flips a switch that covers the room in light. She leans against a rack of weapons and unzips her own jacket. Kasumi walks in after and takes a long breath.
"What is this about?" Ayane asks as she crosses her arms. "Something important?"
"Yeah," Kasumi responds as she turns around to face Ayane. "I have something to tell you." She pauses. "When I was watching you work on that lock earlier I felt something. Something that I am not sure I can explain. The way you were moving with focus and intent." Kasumi takes a step closer. "I felt something stir within me, and I want to confirm it to myself."
Ayane feels Kasumi's breath from the close proximity. She feels her pulse quicken. "Confirm what?"
"This."
Kasumi closes the remaining distance and pushes Ayane's body against the cold metal. Ayane's eyes widen in surprise as Kasumi brings their lips together. After a moment, she relaxes and returns the kiss. Ayane wraps her arms around her sister's slim waist. They pull apart and Ayane forms a smile as she lets out a breath.
"So this is from my skilled hands?" Ayane asks.
"That is how it started, yes."
Kasumi takes a step back as Ayane walks up beside her. "We should get back," Ayane says. "Before the others wonder what is taking so long." She turns to face Kasumi. "If you want," she says with a grin. "I can show you just how skilled my hands are."
"If you can crack the code."
"I always do."
