Chapter 5: Ars Magna
The fake alchemist is rolling on the ground after the punch that Kotaru and Touma delivered to the fake alchemist face. As soon as he stopped rolling on the ground, he cursed, "Ku, damn…In other words, if there's so much gold they can't dodge, they'll be powerless. Ha. I have 1982 pieces of material in here and naturally, it'll be more than enough to be rid of them."
Aureolus get himself on all three on the ground as he went insane, "HAHA! DESTROY DESTROY! DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY! THAT'S RIGHT! I CAN'T DIE! THERE'S STILL DEEP BLOOD AND ALL SORTS OF RESEARCH MATERIALS THAT'RE INCOMPLETE! HOW COULD I DIE! NO, THERE'RE MORE! THERE ARE STILL 50,000 HUMAN SPECIMENS IN THE WORLD WORTH RESEARCHING! HAHA! IT'S JUST A PITY THAT THE BOY MUST DIE BEFORE I GET TO UNDERSTAND THE SECRETS OF HIS BODY!"
Fortunately, the alchemist had placed the cram school students on the back of the coin and now he simply had to gather these materials. Once done, all that remained was the trivial matter of piercing Limen Magna through them. Giving it consideration, Stiyl had destroyed the core of the Gregorian Chant replica, the tool that allowed him to manipulate the students' actions.
"Despite of everything, everyone who dare to oppose me-" the fake alchemist word cutted off by a footstep behind him. He turned around and saw the group of boys stood menacingly ten meters away from the alchemist.
"What-what's going on?" The alchemist asked, truly shocked that some people could push him this far.
"Simple alchemist, you've already gone too far." Kotaru answered as his blue eyes glow in the dark.
"You
"Your inhuman action has to be stopped there." Xiao swing his hand in front of his face and equiped the adepti mask he always used to release his power.
"You people won't stop me!" The alchemist tried ti attack again by throw 2 golden darts in anxiety and fear. One towards Touma and the other towards Xiao. Touma has already sprint towards the alchemist before the fake alchemist has throw the dart, he crouched like a spider in response and somehow dodge the dart while Xiao just swing himself to the right, dodging the dart as the dart went past him and leaped himself above Aureolus.
The alchemist gotten more nervous as he prepared 6 darts in an instant and throw the dart towards the boy's face. Since Touna got nowhere to run, he blocked the darts using his right hand that is ready to do an uppercut towards Aureolus, shattering the dart and chain in the same stroke.
"Wait!" With a stunned, twisted expression, Aureolus roared in an attempt to fire the next dart. However, before it could happen, Kamijou's fist had found its way to the alchemist's face. Then, without slowing down, despite the one-head difference in height, Kamijou smashed his forehead into Aureolus' jaw.
Having taken two direct strikes to the head, Aureolus stumbled to the floor. He attempted to roll away but Kamijou did not allow. He stamped heavily onto the gold prosthetic and maneuvered his foot to remove it. With the sound of crushing fruit, the wound, which was given makeshift treatment, ripped.
GYYYYAAAAAAAAH!" Aureolus screamed in pain and tried to shot another Limen Magna at Kamijou, who was about to sit on the alchemist.
For made it worse, he failed to launched the dart as the Alchemist just got punched in the face really hard by Xiao who is hanging on the ceiling for a second, waiting for the right oppoturnity to give the best attack towards the alchemist.
Not only that, Touma used his left hand to grab the golden chain in order to keep it intact. It seemed he had not considered that the slightest mistake would have turned him into gold.
He twisted his left hand and tied the golden chain to his arm. Once Limen Magna was completely sealed, Kamijou looked down upon the alchemist. He used the golden chain and wrapped the golden chain on the alchemist's neck which made the alchemist beg to spared him as he's getting chocked.
"Touma, stop!" Aether said to him.
"Kamijou-senpai! That's already too far!" Kotaru also told him to stop.
'It hurts... IT HURTS!' The alchemist screamed internally.
As for the girls, they were shocked and stunned to see what Xiao and Touma just do to the alchemist, but their shocked expression got replaced by worrying the fact that Touma, who's a gentle soul that always willing to help everyone has become ruthless imposing, and without mercy, attacking the magician. They never wanted to saw the boy that they know turned into someone like this because the boy has proceed himself to chocked the alchemist
"Kamijou-senpai... Stop." Uiharu called his name with both her hands on her mouth, worried that the anger inside the boy has overwhelmed him and thinking that Touma will proceed himself to kill the alchemist. Kuroko and Mikoto put one of their hand on their mouth as well has the same mindset as Uiharu right now, especially for Mikoto. She knows Touma so well that ever since he joined judgement cuz of Kotaru's report that got readed by Yomikawa-sensei and made Touma joined, she really felt horrified to see Touma like this and she only could pray that Touma didn't kill the alchemist.
"Hey Kamijou..." Mikoto began to talk, "Please stop.. this isn't like you at all, the usual idiot i know won't even do this, the usual idiot eho always jumps in to helped people out and won't do something like killing so please...stop what you're doing right now."
Mikoto words somehow reach Touma, he realised what he's gonna do to the alchemist and he immediately stopped and let go of the chain wordlessly. The group saw the alchemist crawled away into the depths of the dark corridor. Touma decide to turned around and head back to the group that's with him.
"Sorry, i got carried away." Touma apologized.
Aether shook his head as he saying, "Don't worry, i might gonna recklessly do the same if i were you."
"I never wanted to see that side of you again, Kamijou-san." Kuroko admitted.
"Same, i preffer Kamijou-senpai who always helped people everytime someone need helps." Uiharu agreed.
"And most importantly, that's the only idiot that i know." Mikoto said.
"Well it's thank's to you Misaka," Touma said in a sweet tone, "You're the one who manage to stop me from killing him. And you also call me by my name for the first time."
Indeed, Mikoto never called Touma by his name because Mikoto always call him using the term idiot due to being called biri-biri.
"D-don't think about it you idiot." Mikoto retorted with a blush on her face.
"Oh cmon, back to calling me that again?" Touma groaned. "Such misfortune."
Everyone can't help but chuckled at Touma, slumped by the sudden change of Mikoto calling Touma using the idiot term again. The chuckle stop when xiao began to talk.
"Anyway, our job is finally over right?" Xiao asked, "If so, then i would like to go back to my world again."
"Ah yeah that reminds me, how did you get here Xiao?" Aether asked.
"I've used your serenetia teapot as the catalyst to get into this world." Xiao answered.
"Serenetia teapot?" The group asked in confusion.
"I'll tell you guys about it later." Aether said, "Anyway, we better get himegami out of here."
"That Aureolus was fake." Himegami said to the group
"WHAT?"
"We just saw that Xiao and Kamijou-senpai just beat the heck out of him, just how is he a fake Aureolus?" Kotaru asked.
"It's simple, The real one wouldn't kill so indiscriminately." Himrgami answered, "The real body has many needles to stab with. The ones without needles are definitely fake, not to mention the real one isn't that weak."
"Why would he need to stab himself with the needles?" Aether asked.
"I can't answer that," Himegami replied calmly, "The real one is only interested in what he wants. I don't think he'd stop you if you went home."
"Hold on," Touma interrupted, "You're coming with me aren't you? Since he wants you, why would he let us go?"
"Why?"
"Why, what?" Touma asked back.
"The question isn't 'why can't he let us go'. It's 'why should I go with you?'"
"What do you mean by that Himegami?" Hondo asked.
"Because there is something that he aims and need to do it and both of our goals can't be achieved without the alchemy itself."
"I'll explain it to Aureolus for you if you want to leave this battlefield." Kamijou could not consent. He did not understand the burden she bore. He did not know how to save her. He did not know what to do.
"Tell me something." He asked because he did not know. "If you don't want to attract vampires, why were you eating outside when we first met?"
"That's because he needs the vampire and with me being inside this school, i can't attract one." Himegami answered.
"So what you're saying is that this place is your hideout for hiding from the vampires?" Kotaru summarised.
"That's right, anyway do you guys know how vampire looks like?" Himegami asked again.
"Thats..." Aether wanted to answer, but he got cutted off by himegami.
"There's nothing different between them and nornal humans." Himegami revealed, "Just like us, they could laugh, and also work with others as well. My blood could attract them because it smells good for them. Attract, gather, and murder them."
Himegami looked down as she continued, "I've kept continue doing this with no reason, killing those vampires without exception."
"So you forced yourself to do all of that am i right?" Xiao asked for confirmation.
"That's right. Academy City researches powers. I thought I could come here to analyze the secrets of my powers. If I knew its source I could get rid of it. However, I couldn't find a way to be rid of it." Himegami said. "I don't want to kill anyone. I'd decided that..." Himegami stopped for a few second.
"I'd rather to kill myself." Himegami finished. "But that also not affect with both me and Aureolus goal becaude we had an agreement to use this power to save someone and not to kill someone."
"That's really wrong." Touma denied, "If he's like what you said, then i won't allowed him to continue more further than this."
Touma clutch his right hand into a first and continued, "Because if it keeps going, then there's no going back again."
"Everyone, i saw someone's approaching all of you from behind!" Uiharu warned.
The group turned around stared at the dark corridor which they heard some footstep getting closer.
"One question, what will be late if i keep doing what i'm foing right now?" The voice asked from the dark corridor.
"Is he?" Touma asked.
Himegami nodded in response as Kotaru answered, "No doubt about it."
"Calm down, you don't need to worry. I will get closer to you."
Suddenly the man appeared in front of Touma which made eveeyone jumped back in response with the other group draw out their weapons whilr hondo strengthened his fist.
"Did he just teleported?!" Mikoto asked.
"He just appeared instantly just like that, but teleportation doesn't really look like that." Kuroko replied. As a level 4 teleporter, she have experienced the power of teleportation so she know how it looks like, but for what aureolus just did, that's not a normal teleportation.
"Damn you!" Touma throw a punch at him.
"You won't get closer to me." The alchemist said.
And suddenly the man appeared a few meters away from Touma and dodge his punch.
"He did it again!" Mikoto said in suprise.
"Damn it!" Touma throw another punch and it did the same.
"How did..." Touma was about to ask, but he didn't finished as Kotaru, Hondo, Xiao, and Arther charge towards the alchemist.
"All of you won't get closer to me." The alchemist said.
The group keep themselves throw out so many attack towards the green haired man, but they never succeed as the alchemist keep appeared a few meters away from them.
After they stopped, the group breathed heavily due to their exhaustion by attacking the alchemist. Kotaru then asked, "How in the world we are not able to hit this guy for once?"
"I don't know myself, he even manage to dodge all of my attacks." Xiao replied in a serious tone.
"It's like he's one place one second and another place in the next." Uiharu cried over the communicator.
"I find what all of you lacking," the man mocked, "Now it's time to go."
"NO!" Himegami yelled as she get in front of the boys.
"When you pushing and come to shove, you'll just relying on the power of your deep blood, which implies that you don't wish to give up." The man smirked at Himegami, "then what made both of us different?"
"Of course it's different!" Himegami replied easily, "These guys doesn't even know the use of deep blood itself and they came here to safe the person that they just met. Just what is your true intention Aureolus Izzard?"
"This guy is the real one?" Mikoto asked.
"Is your true intention was to satisfied yourself by killing normal people?" Himegami demanded, "If that's true, then our agreement stops here. I have the will of killing myself after all."
"This is important, i can't afford myself to waste any more time." The alchemist conceded.
"Tch" Touma clicked his tounge.
"Don't worry boys, i don't have any intention to kill you." The man proceed to stab his neck with a needle before pulling it out again.
"You boys will forget everything that has transpired here."
"What just happened?" Mikoto yelled in panic.
"Everyone just dissapeared from the camera for some reason." Uiharu replied as she staring at the camera.
"Uiharu, use the tracker to find out where they are now." Kuroko demanded.
"I got it!" Uiharu cheered out, "They're in a park just a few blocks from here."
"Thank godness." Mikoto said in relieve.
"Okay, time to go there in a flash." Kuroko said before she grabbed onto Uiharu and Mikoto's shoulder and start to do a teleport hops until the girls have found that Touma and Stiyl sitting on the swings while Kotaru, Hondo, and Aether leaning their back at the swing's pole and Xiao just standing at the ground, looking at the sky.
"Everyone!" The girls cried in relief.
"Oh hey girls." Touma greeted, wasn't sure how to respond.
"Are you okay?" Uiharu asked.
"Peachy." Touma replied, "For some reason, me, Stiyl, and everyone here were doing something so important right now."
"Wait, you guys forgot what happened before?" Mikoto asked.
"That's true, i don't even know what all of us doing before." Kotaru replied, "But for some reason i felt like it's so important. What about you Hondo? Remember anything?"
"Nope, not at all "
"How about you Xiao? Is there something that comes on your mind?" Aether asked.
"It's kinda faint, but for some reason the word vampires keep appealing on my head but i don't know why." Xiao answered.
"Man, kinda sucks we forget what we're doing." Touna said as he rubbing his head with his right hand.
Suddenly a glass breaking sound heard, continued with the memories come back to his head. He continued with looked past the girls and towards the Misawa cram school. Touma immediately stand up from the swing and said, "Hey Hikari, Kowada, Aether, Xiao, could you come here for a second?"
"What is it Kamijou-senpai?" Kotaru asked as the group approach Touma.
The next thing is Touma proceed to touch the other's head and the memories flooding back to their head. The boys continued by subconsciously looked at the school just like Touma did when he remembered what happened.
"Hey, there is something that i want to show you," Touma said to Stiyl, "This is a trick to made you felt better."
"Kamijou-san?" Kuroko asked confusedly.
"Oriental Charm is Kanzaki specialty." Stiyl explained, "i'll ask about that to her later."
"Just close your eyes and stick out your tounge." Touma insisted.
"Eh?" Everyone confused by this, but Xiao immediately realised what Touma's trying to pull off and decide to watch. Hondo also realised what Touma's aim and decide to pull out the camera to prepare for the best moment.
"Just do it like this." Touma set an example to Stiyl.
Stiyl just followed what Touma just told Stiyl to do. He pulled out the cigarette from his mouth and stick out his tounge just to humor the boy. Stiyl didn't know that hr has just stepped into the worst landmine he ever faced.
Touma nodded to Kotaru, which made Kotaru realised what Touma trying to do, so he gave him a nod as well before both of them charge at Stiyl full speed.
"THIS IS FOR USING US AS A DECOY SO YOU COULD RUN AWAY YOU SCAREDY CAT!" Touma and Kotaru yelled.
Kotaru and Touma proceed to throw a powerfull uppercut and launched him off the ground a couple of centimeters. The sound of shattering glass was heard upon impact, releasing Stiyl from whatever supernatural power was affecting him up until then. Hondo also capture the moment at the right timing and took the photo as well. After Stiyl reach the ground, he was about to argued about what Kotaru and Touma just do, but he stopped after he remember what happened.
"That punch was 'burning him out'." Aether said jokingly.
"That was entertaining for some reason." Xiao admitted.
"Now you remember what happened?" Touma asked.
"I did." Stiyl answered as he get back up, "Hurry up! We have to move."
Touma and Stiyl started to run followed by Kotaru, Hondo, Aether, and Xiao but they stopped when he noticed that the girls have been laughing so hard.
""You girls enjoy the little attraction we gave?" Kotaru asked.
"Yeah ehehe, we did." Uiharu said between the giggles.
"I can't believe you two just pulled that off out of nowhere." Mikoto admitted.
"Kamijou-san and Hikari-san really got Stiyl really good there." Kuroko explained.
Stiyl sighed before he said, "Typical Middle schoolers."
"Like you're one to talk you 14 years old boy." Hondo fired back.
"HE'S 14?!" Kotaru asked in shock.
"He is indeed is 14 years old Hikari-san," Uiharu confirmed with a giggle, "We just find out about it when we're waiting for you having a sweet time with Saten-san."
The group dash to Misawa Cram School and find out that there's seven armored man holding their sword upwards in front of the building, a bright red light shined to the top of their sword.
"Aren't those the corpse we find earlier?" Kotaru asked.
"They're the surviving knights of the Roman Catholic Church," Stiyl deduced before he noted, "Those are also the real gregorian choir, not like the replica we faced inside this building."
"I thought they need 3.333 people to make it work, so how come 7 people could made it work?" Kuroko asked.
"I think the rest of them offering up prayer in the vatican." Stiyl explained, "It's gonna be an Magic Bombardment."
"A magic bombardment?!" The group repeated in shock.
"What do you mean by a bombardment?" Xiao asked.
"That." Stiyl said, pointing to the sky.
The group saw a red cloud swirled above the school with a red lightning soaring on the clouds. It looks like a mini frightening red thunderstorm above the school.
"Himegami is still inside there, not to forget the other student was inside there as well." Touma cried out as he watch the knights doing their things.
Suddenly a red lightning which apparently manage to rival Mikoto's lightning strike that made the whole district 8 went lights out for a day struck the building, cracked every single window and collapse the building. Suddenly the building has stopped on their way falling to the ground and slowly turning backwards as if someone reset time just now.
"It's going back up!" Touma, Hondo, and Aether said in unison.
"Ars Magna," Stiyl explained, "That's Aureolus true power, and that is what we're gonna face against."
Soon, the building finished fixing itself to normal like nothing happened.
"Everyone!" A voice called out.
Turning to the right, they saw Ruiko, Paimon, and Amber dashing towards them with Amber holding sphinx, Paimon holding out something looks like a white robe, and Ruiko with a grocery shop.
"Ruiko-chan?" Kotaru said, suprised by her arrival.
"Paimon-san?" Aether said in suprised.
"Amber-san?" Mikoto said in suprised.
"What are you three doing here?" Kuroko asked.
"This is bad news!" Paimon said in worried as she catch her breath after flying so fast.
"We were buying some food since index has eaten all the food on my fridge." Ruiko said while still catching her breath as well.
"And when three of us went on our way back to the dorm.." Amber explained and got cut off by Paimon.
"We found Sphinx with this!" Paimon finished as she show the hood on her right hand.
Kotaru and Touma eyes widened as they realised what it was, "That's..." Kotaru want to say something but Touma finishwd his sentence.
"Damn it, this is Index robes." Touma cursed.
"That means she's inside this school now!" Uiharu conceded in shock.
Everyone has their eyes drawn towards the top of the building. The stake just got higher when they also realised the Alchemist is inside the building as well.
Not wanting to waste any time, Kotaru began to run towards the building but he got stopped by Xiao who hold onto his left arm.
"Let go of me!" Kotaru demanded.
"Look, i know you want to helped her, but do you have any idea where to go after you get inside?" Xiao asked.
"I don't," Kotaru answered, "But i can't just let myself waste another time just standing here."
"Oi Kotaru, calm down would you?" Hondo said to his best friend, "just take a deep breath and released them to calm down. I know you want to help her, but we have to clear our thoughts first to made it better okay?"
Kotaru start to get calmer, he took a few deep breaths before he said, "Thanks Hondo, sorry that i can't calm down after that."
"Don't worry Kotaru-kun, in fact, me, amber-san, and Paimon-san should be the onr to be blamed because three of us didn't made sure index to stay at the dorm." Ruiko said feeling guilty.
"Don't worry, it's none of your fault." Aether said reassuringly, "There's the time when unexpected things happened, it's only how are we gonna defeat the unexpected and how the outcomes gonna be."
"It sounds like you have some experience with it, Aether-san." Kuroko noted.
"Sort of, ehe." Aether said, rubbing his head.
"EHE TTE NANDAYO!" Paimon yelled.
"Okay enough talking, no time need to be wasted now." Stiyl said as he began to enter the school.
"Oi, wait up!" Touma said, cstching up with Stiyl.
The boys also followed Touma from behind while the girls decide to watch from Uiharu laptop.
After the group enter the building, Stiyl mentioned the group that the barrier that separate them has been taken down so it's a good idea to use the elevator to get onto the next floor rather than use the ladders since it would took a long time just like before.
"You know, i think it's a good idea that you girls decide to watch from outside and provide support from outside." Kotaru admitted.
"Why's that?" Paimon asked.
"To made it easier, this Alchemist has a power to made everything he said went to reality," Kuroko explained, "We just saw everyone tried to attack him, but he keep dodging their attacks without even trying to move at all."
"Not to mention that he just made everyone forget what they were doing and teleported them outside the building," Mikoto added, "He also manage to went past Kamijou imagine breaker which could negate anything that is supernatural so we can't stand a chance against him."
"Don't worry girls, no matter how strong his power really was, we'll make sure to safe index no matter what happened." Touma promised.
"You better will." Mikoto said to him, making sure he keep his promise.
After they reach a certain floor, they followed Stiyl from behind. He seems to know where to go after this.
"I know where Aureolus was hiding actually," Stiyl admitted, "Just follow me and we will find him."
"You sure about that?" Aether asked.
"You really have any idea where this bastard is hiding now?" Touma asked skeptically.
"I do," Stiyl answered, "What? Do you think i would just wander through the hallways of this building if I had no clue where I was going."
"I wonder if there is some kind of set back with Aureolus Ars magna." Kotaru wondered.
"I was thinking the same." Hondo agreed, "If stiyl Innocentius could be summoned by using the runes, then there should be a set back to his ars magna as well."
"That's true, i could summon innocentius with my runes..." Stiyl stopped mid sentence as he stopped from his track.
"What now?" Touma asked, didn't like with Stiyl stopped from his track.
"Dammit, why i didn't realised it sooner?" Stiyl yelled at himself, throwing his cigarette on the ground, confusing everyone else listening, "He's been in hiding for three years now! There are some developments he wouldn't know about."
"What are you talking about?" Touma asked.
He didn't get any answer as Stiyl suddenly took off. The group started to chase Stiyl from behind, make sure they didn't got left behind.
"All of you got any idea what happened?" Uihsru asked.
"Not really," the boys except Kotaru answered.
"Now i think about it..." Kotaru began to wonder, "Didn't Himegami said that Aureolus need a vampires to save someone right?"
"Yeah, is there something odd about it Hikari-san?" Uiharu asked
"Actually yeah, just think about it, I feel like with Aureolus decide to hide himself hiding for 3 years, combined with index inside here that means..." Kotaru began to think about the posibility and his eyes widened as he realised what the alchemist goal was, "That means Aureolus real goal was to save Index?!"
"What?!" The group yelled in shock.
"How does using vampire could safe index and why did he decide to do that?" Paimon asked.
"Apparently Vampires originally are supposed to be immortal," Mikoto mentioned, "before all of us met Aether-san, Amber-san, and Paimon-san, Index has to go through a daily year memory erasure because of her grimoires that took over her brain which could have killed her, but turns out that therr is some kind of spell that made it looks like Index would die because of the grimoires and all of us manage to save her."
"So that means Aureolus want to made Index become iortal by transformed her into a vampire?!" Paimon summarized.
"That is what i thought he's doing." Kotaru agree.
"But even so," Touma cutted off, "What the alchemist doing has went too far."
"You're right." Aether agree, remember the time when Ei want to achieve the eternity as her goal because the loss of someone she really cared about.
After turning to the next corner, the group enter the room with the moonlight could be set putting on. The boys quickly run next to Stiyl and now facing Aureolus and Himegami along with Index sleeping on the desk with the alchemist watch over her. Touma want to rush in to get index but stiyl use his hand to block his way.
"I have some bad news to tell you alchemist," Stiyl said calmly, "Your plan will never be succeeded."
"I see that you realised what's my true intention really are." The alchemist replied, "But I expect that you howl at your own impedance when achieve what I mean to do."
"A year ago, I would have done anything to see your plan succeed," Stiyl answered back with a smile before returning to a serious expression, "But I tell again, nothing you do now will help you to saver her. There is nothing you can do for Index."
"That's true alchemist," Kotaru joined in, "There is something that you haven't know about index."
"And what would that be, boy?"
"Simple, Index has already been saved without you even know." Kotaru answered.
The alchemist eyes widened as he processing what he just heard, he repeated, "Index has...been safed?!"
"That's right" Stiyl replied, "Three years ago you have become her partner, last year was me and this year is this boy in front of you who manage to finished the work that you never able to do. If you decide not to betray the roman catholic church and not decide to hide for three years, you would have known this."
"I-Impossible.." the man said in disbelieve, "He's just a normal human, not an alchemist or a magician as well. Just what did he do to save her?"
"About that," kotaru started to explain, "Apparently he has a power called Imagine Breaker that is located in his right hand, which is a power that is above anything else."
"Wait, if that's true then that means..."
"That's right," Stiyl confirmed, "Your efforts are in vain Aureolus, but don't worry about it because Index is really happy with his new partner."
Aureolus take a step back and lean on the desk, shocked from this revelation. He has been hiding for three years to find a way to safe index by transformed her into a vampire because of the grimoires inside her head, but everything has shattered after he found out that Touma has achieved what he's aiming.
"Touma..." Index called his name which made everyone looked at her.
"Tou...ma..." Index called his name again.
"I'm here index." Touma yelled in response.
"Is Index gonna be okay?" Amber asked.
"She's talking on her sleep just now." Paimon noted.
"Touma..." Index called his name one more time again.
Suddenly, a stomach grumble sound was heard.
"I'm hungry.." Index said on her sleep.
"Bweh?!" Almost everyone lost their balance due to the unexpected words came out from Index.
"Apple..." Index continued to talk on her sleep, "An apple from Aomori..."
Suddenly they heard someone chuckling, turns out Stiyl was the ine who's chuckling. "What a timing."
Suddenly Kotaru and Hondo fall to the ground, laughing because of Index said something they didn't expected.
"HAHAHAHA, of all things that could happened to her, she's just sleeping and begging for food instead of getting herself in danger." Kotaru said amused.
"That's true, i thought that someone tried to mess with her grimoires again, but turns out she's enjoying her peaceful nap." Hondo agreed.
The group of student also laugh at this, even Xiao who's haven't laugh can't help but chuckled at this situation as well, it was really comedic that even Xiao manage to laugh.
"I can't believe this." Mikoto giggled.
"That's true," Kuroko agreed, "She's just sleeping, desperately begging for food in her sleep."
"At least we know that she's safe." Paimon said in relieve.
"Man, now i felt really better about it." Ruiko added, happy that she didn't made a mess that much.
"And the best thing is that we also got the whole thing recorded." Uiharu added.
However, all the laughing stopped when everyone heard the sounds of more maniacal laughing, like some mad man about to go on a rampage. Everyone saw that Aureolus waa the ine eho's laughing.
"Fall to the floor, Intruder!" The alchemist yelled.
Suddenly everyone inside the room fall to the floor forcefully by whatever pushing them to the floor.
"Everyone!" The girls cried in worry.
"So... Heavy..." Kotaru complained.
"All of you have stomped my feelings! You also have laughed at my hard work!" Aureolus said as he stabbed himself with a large pins before he throw it to the ground, "Very well, you will pay for this humiliation! You will pay with your pathetic lives!"
"Wait!" Himegami yelled, standing in between both alchemist and the intruders.
"Himegami... Dont..." Touma warned as he struggled.
"Dammit!" Xiao cursed as he also struggled to get up as well, "I never faced anything this powerful before, just how strong Ars magna really is."
"Kamijou-senpai, you have to get up now!" Uiharu begged, "Everyone seems can't to get themselves up from the floor and Aureolus intented to hurt since he didn't need her anymore."
"I'm on it." Touma replied.
"How did he get across Kamijou-san's right hand?" Ruiko asked, "I thought his right hand could negate it."
"We don't know about that as well," Kuroko replied, "But we have a bigger problem right now."
"Hurry up! Get up!" Mikoto yelled.
"You're not helping at all, biri-biri!" Touma yelled back.
Touma decide to bite his right hand finger, but unfortunately at the same time, Aureolus has just used the needles and stab it to his neck before he demand himegami to died. Touma rushed to Himegami before her body falls to the ground.
"Himegami..." Touma whispered as he tried to wake her up.
"Is she okay?" Uiharu asked in concerned.
Her existence is no longer necessary," Aureolus gloated with a laugh, "And as you can see, I even kept my promise to her. As she wished, I have set the girl free from the misfortune of her sweet blood."
"Damn you!" Xiao tried to push his limits as he put on his mask and a black and green aura swirled around him.
"Your power is sealed for a solid hours." The alchemist said.
Suddenly Xiao aura vanished and he fall to rhe floor again since his power got sealed.
"I swear i will get you, you inhuman mortal." Xiao said in anger.
"Is there something we could at least do?" Hondo asked.
"I can't even get up at all." Aether said, still struggled.
Suddenly, they heard Himegami coughing and breathing again which made everyone relieved.
"Impossible!" The alchemist said in disbelieve, "You somehow negated my Ars Magna? Himegami Aisa should have already been dead, what does your right hand possessed to be able to erase ars magna?"
"Stop your deranged babbling! You've clearly been defeated, it's time to give up!" Touma declared as he stood up, Himegami in his arms, "But, if insist on believing that you can manipulate reality, then I'll just shatter that fucked up illusion of yours!"
Touma set himegami to the floor right beside Kotaru and Aether before he dash towards the alchemist, Uiharu warned Touma to be careful since Aureolus could manipulate reality and they haven't seen anything more to Aureolus power.
Aureolus pull another needle and stabbed himself before he gave a simple comand "You will choke to death." After he said that, Touma stumbled at the sudden lack of oxygen, falling to his hands and knees. In spite of the pain, Touma reached his right hand to his neck. With a single touch, Imagine Breaker worked its anti-magic, releasing Touma form the super natural choke hold.
"Electrocute to death." Suddenly a high amount of electricity charge towards Touma and blocked it.
"Nice try, but i've faced a way more worse electricity attack that could create a large damage area on a daily basis." Touma mocked.
"I'll take that as a compliment." Mikoto and Kotaru complimented as an electromaster.
"Crushed to death!" The alchemist demand again.
A car suddenly appeared on top of Touma and fall towards him, but Touma scretched his right hand upwards and blocked the falling car and vanished.
"So, it is true. Your hand is the genuine article. It has consistently cancelled out my Ars Magna attacks," the alchemist observed, "In which case, I just need to use an attack that your hand can not touch and there for cannot nullify."
He pukled out another needle and stabbed himself again before he saying, "In my hand a gun will appear and it is loaded with magic bullets, any one of which can carry your death. The bullets will travel faster than the human eye can see. The shooting will now commence."
A gun appeared just like what the alchemist said, and the alchemist shoot right past Touma's head in a high amount of speed which made Touma stunned.
"Did you think I'd let you die so easily?" the alchemist taunted, "I want to see you squirm a bit longer."
"I think i'm in trouble." Touma whispered.
"Magnify previous order! Ten pistols with simultaneous fire!"
On the Aureolus's command, the single pistol became two sets of five pistols. Each set of five was connected to a single pistol and were all controlled by a single trigger. seeing this, Kotaru immediately transformed into his 8 wings wind form and immediately scretch his arm, created a shield in front of Touma, manage to reflect the bullets, but the impact made Touma knocked back.
"He's not alone here!" Kotaru yelled.
"Oh i will be pleasured by toying with you as well, A spear will stab through your arm."
Suddenly a spear appeared from above charge towards Kotaru's right arm and it went through Kotaru's right arm and made him screamed in pain.
"Kotaru/Kotaru-kun!" Hondo and Ruiko cried in worry.
Touma immediately reach his right hand towards the spear that struck Kotaru's right hand which left a big wound on his right hand.
"Well, what do you know," Stiyl interrupted, "you really can seem to use your words to manipulate reality in whatever way you wish."
"Obviously," Aureolus boasted, "Ars Magna is the strongest power an alchemist can possess. I can do anything Wi-"
"Oh, really," Stiyl cut Aureolus off, "If so, what could you possibly need Deep Blood for? Why would you need her to attract vampires for you? Couldn't you just create them without using her? All it would take was a few words from you, right? So, why didn't you do it, alchemist? Why didn't you create vampires using you're Ars Magna? For that matter, why would you even need them at all?"
"Into the air, you meddling sorcerer!" Aureolus commanded, his voice seething with rage.
On command, Stiyl was lifted high into the air and everyone could see it.
"Stiyl!" Touma cried out.
"I wonder if you really could made everything happen with only your words." Stiyl continued, didn't care what happened to him right now.
"Your skin will be torn from your body!" the alchemist yelled.
On cue, Stiyl's skin was instantly ripped away. With his skin gone, Stiyl's internal organs were all visible. His heart continued to beat and he was by all indications alive, his muscles, bones, blood vessels, and other organs close to the surface were exposed. the sight is disgusting that Touma have to hold his vomit as for Kotaru told the girls to look away, he didn't see how Stiyl looks like, but he could tell that it's disgusting. The girls is in no better condition cuz Kotaru too late to warned the girls and they have to change the camera to make sure they didn't see the sight of Stiyl Skinless body.
Touma soon manage to collect himself and think rationally. Stiyl was trying to tell him something. That was obvious from all the hypothetical questions he was posing. Touma thought back to what Stiyl had said regarding Aureolus's elaborate plan. If Ars Magna was truly all-powerful, why even have the elaborate plan? Not only that, there were inconsistencies when it came to Ars Magna's interactions with Imagine Breaker. Prior to knowing of its existence, the alchemist had no issue bypassing it. Touma was teleported outside the school not too long ago, something that even the Level 4 Teleporter Kuroko couldn't do. Then there were events like Touma being forced to the floor or choking. Imagine Breaker was attached to him, so it should have negated anything supernatural being directly applied to his body unless isolated from his right hand, just like with teleportation. At that moment, Touma realized that Ars Magna is not absolute and could be undermined, and he knew just how to do it. A new plan in hand, Touma got on his feet to face Aureolus one more time.
"I'm bored with this game. I believe I'll switch weapons," the alchemist declared, "I'll destroy you with a sword instead. Obviously, the source of your self-assurance is your right hand, which is your only weapon. It's clear my first course of action is to chop off your right arm. For this last attack, my spinning sword will sever your arm!"
The ten pistol transformed into ine pistol with a sword as an ammo. He shoot the sword and it cut Touma's right arm and a blood splatter out from it which have get into Kotaru, Hondo, and Aether's face and also block everyone's camera so everyone can't see.
"TOUMA!"
"KAMIJOU-SENPAI!"
"KAMIJOU-SAN!"
"KAMIJOU!"
"Touma's right hand just got sliced off by that alchemist!" Paimon said in shock.
"This is bad! Uiharu, could you hack the surveilance camera?" Kuroko demanded.
"I'm trying but all the camera has been out of order due to the last crossfire." Uiharu explained.
"Damn it! We have to go help them now!" Ruiko said, get up from her seat and start to the building.
"I'm coming with you Saten-san." Mikoto followed her.
Kuroko immediately teleported in front of them blocking their way followed by Amber and Paimon blocked their way as well.
"Shirai-san, Amber-san, and Paimon-san?!" Ruiko said to them.
"Kuroko, get out of the way!" Mikoto demanded.
"Please calm down." Paimon begged
"I'm sorry but i can't allow you to go Onee-sama, even for you too Saten-san." Kuroko said, "I know that both of you want to help them but there is more at stake here then just our friends wellbeing."
"But that idiot right hand has been cut off, not to mention that everyone can't do anything at all." Mikoto fired back.
"Not only that, Kotaru-kun's right hand has been stabbed by a spear too so there's no way i would just stand around doing nothing at all." Ruiko reasoned.
"Please calm down Misaka, Saten." Amber said, try to calm Mikoto and Ruiko, "You have to believe in them."
"Uiharu, help us out here." Paimon begged.
But they didn't hear Uiharu respond to them, instead, they noticed Uiharu has a face that looks like she's facing something's terrifying right now.
"Uiharu-san, what happened?" Mikoto asked.
"K-Kamijou-S-S-Senpai...something's wrong with him, he just laugh like a maniac." Uiharu said while watching the footage even though she's scared.

The girls immediately went to watch the camera footage from Uiharu's laptop. True to Uiharu words, they saw Touma started to walked closer toward Aureolus and the girls watch Touma with a stunned expression.
"Kotaru, What happened to Touma?" Aether asked.
"I don't know, i never seen him like this before." Kotaru replied, didn't know what happened to Touma.
"Everyone, for some reason, i got a bad feeling about this." Xiao said in worried, "The way he acts right now made me feel like something big is coming from him."
Aureolus attempted to cut Touma's head off with the same sword pistol he used the chop off his arm. However, the blade somehow curved and missed Touma completely. When the attack failed, he tried again, this time with the same ten pistol combination as before. Once again, the blades curved around Touma, not even scratching him. In a final attempt to end the boy, the alchemist ordered the creation of infinite executioner's blades to dismember Touma's body. The blades all appeared suspended in the air above Touma before suddenly falling upon him. However, the blades never hit their mark as they were instantly destroyed, the oddest part being that the sound of Imagine Breaker rang out as they did.
"Hey alchemist," Touma said in a very scary tone, "Did you really think you could destroy imagine breaker just with that pathetic attack?"
"W-what is going on?" Paimon become paled.
"Why is Kamijou-san acting like this? This isn't him at all." Kuroko asked in fear.
"I swear to god, he looks like somrone who's being possesed just now." Hondo pointed out.
In his attempts to defend himself, Aureolus dropped his supply of needles and struggled to recollect all of them. During this time, Touma only got closer to his prey.
"You can't fight back without those eh? Can't get your weird thoughts off eh?" Touma deduced, "What's wrong? Try to say it. Try to made your words go into happen to reality now."
"What if Imagine breaker is a power to seal something that is really dangerous?" Ruiko suggested.
"T-that might be one of the possibility." Amber agreed.
"S-STAY AWAAAY!" Aureolus begged in panic as he stumbled away and hid underneath the coffee table near the desk.
"D-don't be ridiculous, Saten-san." Mikoto replied, felt like to denied it.
But Mikoto can't help but think that is possible since she know how Touma really was, a gentle soul who always help people no matter what happened, but the boy they saw right now isn't like him at all which made Mikoto felt her legs weakened.
By the time Aureolous mustered up the courage to get out from under the coffee table, Stiyl had somehow healed and collected Index in his arms. At the same time, Touma was only a few steps away from him. Not only that, Aether, Kotaru, Hondo, and Xiao manage to get back up from their can't stand up struggle.
"You can't win at all, Alchemist," Touma said which made Aureolus facing Touma again, "Because your power isn't to turn your words into reality, but your real power was to turn your thoughts INTO REALITY!"
Suddenly a Dragon head emerge from Touma's right hand and let out a insanely loud and menacingly roar and shocked everyone inside and outside the battle room. The dragon charge towards the alchemist and the dragon's head lunged at Aureolus, swallowing him whole as he screamed for his life. As soon as the dragon's head's powerful jaws clamped down, the resulting shockwave knocked the last camera out of order, cutting off the girl's video feed.
Aether, Kotaru, and Hondo is all three on the ground, shocked by the insane shock from the effect of what just happened. Xiao also shocked from what just happened, but he still hold himself stand up.
"Was that...a dragon?" Hondo asked while he's breathing heavily.
"That sure is a dragon," Aether replied, "I've seen a dragon before, but i never seen a dragon that was this terrifying." Aether can't help but remembered the time he saw dvalin for the first time, he seen a dragon that is terrifying but not as terrifying as this one.
"That monster power...is above anything else, it's even way stronger than morax." Xiao can't hrlp but made the difference of power between Morax as a dragon and the dragon that's come from Touma's hand.
As for the girls outside, all of them has their knees on the ground while paimon has knocked out from the shock of the dragon. They felt fear, shock, terror, and any other feeling into one after what they just witnessed.
"What in the world...was that?" Mikoto whispered.
On the next day, the group has arrived at a certain hospital. After the eventful mission last night, Touma has got sent into his usual hospital after he got his right hand cut off. On the night after the mission and after sent Touma into the hospital, Kotaru decide to tell Aether and Amber about their room on the next day because he's exhausted to do that so he told Aether that he could sleep on his dorm for that night while for amber, he asked Uiharu to share a room with her for that night as well. As for Xiao, he decide to go back home after his job is done here and Aether saying tha ks to him before he went back inside the Serenetia pot Aether has and teleport back into tevyat. For a moment, Ruiko was accompanying Index, saying that they would be a bit late due to a run in with a certain acquaintance while the group decide to enter Touma's hospital room.
Apparently they were suprised to see Stiyl is inside, sitting down near him while he's cutting out some apple.
"Hey guys." Touma greeted with waving his left arm.
"I'm not trying to get all cozy, or anything," Stiyl clarified as he worked on the apple, "I just figured I check on Imagine Breaker here."
"That's awfully nice of you." Mikoto commented.
"Just like a tsundere." Kotaru and Hondo pointed out.
"Of course, you all are probably more concerned with a certain other incident that occurred last night," Stiyl noted, "My guess would be that dragon that came out of Kamijou's arm."
Everyone subconsciously stare at Touma's right arm because of what stiyl said.
"It's nothing," Stiyl insisted, "just the manifestation of terror Aureolus felt at the time."
"What happened to Aureolus Izzard by the way?" Paimon asked.
"Well, he seems to have lost his memories and magical abilities," Stiyl explained, "I didn't want his death on my consciences, so I gave him a new identity and snuck him past the Knights of the Roman Catholic Church."
"Is that so?" Uiharu mused.
"Good for him." Aether said in relieve.
"Anyway, Misawa Prep School is being shut down," Stiyl added, "I was going to thank all of you, but it seems a bit absurd, now that I think about it. All you really did was get Aureolus to bring the school down on himself."
"And all of that because of my acting skill." Touma said proudly.
"Wait, everything what happened to you after your arm got cutted off was just an act?" Mikoto asked in shock.
"That's right." Touma replied, "What? Did you honestly think I was some sort of psychopathic maniac that reveled in the fear and suffering of my opponents?"
"Actually, yeah." Kuroko admitted, "I don't even know you could act."
"You really did made it like you're being possesed by a ghost or something." Amber explained.
"I admit, i thought there is another side of you that all of us never know about." Kotaru admitted, "I really got scared by your act last night, not gonna lie."
"But still, that was really good acring Touma." Aether praised, "Apparently because that guy could manipulate reality with his thought, you just have to made him can't think straight which is why you acted like a crazy psychopat which is smart."
"Thanks Aether, i appreciate it." Touma thanked Aether.
Suddenly they heard Index running down the halls of the hospital, with Ruiko begging her to slow down. In response, Stiyl left his freshly cut plate of apples in Touma's lap and jumped out the window. He would prefer to not meet Index directly for the time being. He have become her friends again after her memory loss, but he decide to meet up another time when it's possible. Instead, he requested to tell Index that he just left due to have some important things to do so he can't met with Index.
"Touma!" Index yelled sternly as she entered the room and climbed on his lap, "I know what you were up too!"
"Eh?" Everyone asked in worry.
"That's right, I know you risked you life in a fight to save Aisa and all of you were involved," Index replied.
"Aisa?" Touma asked, "Oh, you mean that freaky psudo-magician girl?"
"How did you know about that Index?" Mikoto asked.
"Well, it was really obvius right?" Index replied, helping herself to Touma's apple slices.
"That was rude," Himegami said as she came around the corner of the room, "I'm no freak."
"Kamijou-san." Ruiko added as she come around the corner as well, "You really have no tack at all huh?"
"Oh, hey Himegami," Touma greeted awkwardly, "I didn't expect to see you here with Index."
"I don't really wanted her to come," Index clarified, "But she's so stubborn, desperately want to thank you for saving her."
"Why did you do it?" Himegami asked, "Why did you help me? You could have died for some stranger. I'm just some girl you met at a fast-food restaurant."
"Like i said before, i don't need a reason to help someone." Touma rrplied nonchalantly, made everyone except Aether, Paimon, and Amber.
"Of course he says that," Mikoto said, putting her head in her hand.
"That's Kamijou-senpai for you." Uiharu said giggle.
"The real Kamijou-senpai would say that words everytime someone asked that." Kotaru commented.
"Kamijou and Aether sure look alike when it comes on helping people." Amber pointed out.
"Do we really look alike?" Aether asked.
"Yes you are Aether." Amber answered, "i've known you for a year so i know what you really like. You have saved Mondstad from the terror of Stormterror, you also beat Osial, the ancient god which has been defeated by Rex Lapis and lastly you stopped the everlasting Vision decree hunt that contains a never ended war."
"Damn, no wonder you are really strong." Kotaru complimented.
"Haha, thanks." Aether said, embarrassed by their praised.
"Hey, Touma," Index interrupted, "After a lot of discussion, it looks like the church has decided to take in Aisa."
"The question whether the real church or your walking church, i can never tell with you." Touma asked jokingly.
Touma never got a clear answer as a cat inturpted the conversation. Climbing out of Index's robes, Sphinx made his precence known and jumped onto Touma's face. After swiping at him for a bit, Sphinx ran off, leaving Index to try to catch him before he caused too much trouble.
"Sphinx, where are you going?" Index cried, chasing her cat.
"You can't bring a pet to the hospital." Touma yelled in anger.
"I thought you have decide to left him in the dorm." Ruiko yelled, chased her roomate.
Aether full sprint chase the cat and ran past Ruiko and Index since he could boosted himself with electricity power to run faster and immediately grabbed the calico cat in an instant.
"Nice catch Aether." Hondo give a thumbs up.
"Thanks." Aether replied before he gave Sphinx to index.
"Don't do that again Sphinx." Index said in a lecture tone.
"Oh yeah Kotaru, could you show me, Paimon, and Amber our room?" Aether reminded.
"Oh yeah, i forgot that i haven't show you three your dorm." Kotaru facepalmed, he turned To Mikoto and kuroko and asked for their help, "Hey Misaka, Shirai, could you two escort Aether and Amber to their dorm room which is right beside Kamijou-senpai's room?"
"Why do you asked us to do it?" Mikoto asked.
"Yeah, why don't you do it?" Kuroko asked as well.
"I'm just feeling a bit tired today," Kotaru reasoned, "i still felt the adrenaline from last night so could you do it for me?"
"Well..." Mikoto thinking sbout it first before she answered, "Okay, i guess we could help you about that."
"Yeah, you can go home and rest because you deserve it." Kuroko agreed.
"Thanks you two." Kotaru thanked Mikoto and Kuroko.
"Want me to carry you home, Kotaru-kun?" Ruiko offered.
Kotaru nodded and said, "Oh sure, i love to."
"I think i want to stay here with Touma." Index said, chewing on the apple.
"Okay then, see you everyone." Kotaru said before he and Ruiko leave the hospital room and went towards Kotaru's dorm.
"Okay, let's go to your new dorm now, shall we?"
"Yeah." The tevyat people said in unison.
"See you later Index, Idiot." Mikoto said to Touma and Index.
"See you later guys." Touma said goodbye as well
Kotaru and Ruiko have walked for a few minutes after leaving the hospital. Kotaru began to thinking the time he went on the infiltration mission.
"Man, last night really sure is tiring." Kotaru said.
"Thay's true, you have to go on an infiltration mission to save Himegami-san and you got your arm stabbed with a spear." Ruiko said in concern.
"Yeah, but at least i'm okay right now sinve i could heal my wounds." Kotaru said reassuringly.
Ruiko gave him a smile and replied, "That's true, at least all of you got out safe and sound now."
"That's true." Kotaru agreed.
Suddenly his stomach grumbled really loud which made Ruiko able to heard it as well. Kotaru blushed in response and Ruiko giggled for what just happened.
"Oh yeah, i haven't eat anything from last night." Kotaru realised.
"Want me to cook for you after we arrived?" Ruiko asked.
"Hmmm maybe not today," Kotaru rejected, "I kinda want to buy some fresh bread from the bakery today."
"Oh... okay then." Ruiko replied sadly.
Kotaru noticed that Ruiko feeling sad after what he just said, so he squeezed her hand and told Ruiko, "Don't worry Ruiko-chan, i'll ask you to cook for me another time okay?" He liked Ruiko's cooking for him, but he didn't want Ruiko be the one who always cook for him.
Ruiko cheered a bit, she gave him a happy smile and replied, "Okay Kotaru kun, you better promised."
Kotaru gave her a nod, "Don't worry, i will."
Kotaru then looked to the left and stopped when he saw a bakery that he never see ever since he enter Academy City.
"What's wrong?" Ruiko asked.
"Furukawa's Bakery?" Kotaru read out loud, "I never see this place before, wanna come inside?"
"Yeah sure, i never know there's a bakery here as well so it's worth it to give it a try." Ruiko agreed.
I'm not dead guys, i'm just tired of doing some works IRL and soo busy with it. Anyway, i finally finished this chapter. The next chapter will be different because the next chapter will include Clannad character.
