It had been a brief couple of weeks since Jordan got the life changing news. She was pregnant. Pregnant at 14. By one of Adam's informants. She made Erin, Adam, Trudy and Will swear they wouldn't tell her father. This was something she had to do on her own. She just didn't have a clue on how to tell him because she knew regardless he was going to go through the roof.

She feared that her father would turn his back on her and she'd have to go through this alone. She had no idea how to tell him. God at times like this she wished her mom was here to help her. The teen had also been trying to avoid the few people she had told. They've been worried because she went radio silence and the last time she had it wasn't pretty.

One afternoon Jordan was home, she got bored and decided to straighten up the house and make her father dinner. The living room was cleaned and straightened up. She went to the kitchen and started making dinner. She had pulled out some chicken, mashed potatoes and vegetables. After seasoning the chicken she put it in the oven and started a pot of water for the potatoes and got the vegetables going.

As she cooked there had been a knock on the front door, she sighed and went to answer it. She had probably figured it was one of the others checking on her. She went to answer it and it had been Will, he carried a small brown bag in his hand. Opening the door she saw the redheaded Halstead.

"I'm fine Will, what are you doing here" Jordan spoke.

"You went radio silence on us again. You can't do that in your condition" Will replies.

"I need time to think. I don't know what I'm going to do yet"

"Your father will be a lot of help"

That made her bite her lip and stand awkwardly. Will had taken that as a huge hint.

"You haven't told him?"

"No. I don't know how to tell him, I can't go. Hey dad, how was your day? Oh by the way I'm pregnant at 14 by one of Adam's informants he will go insane"

"I'll help you tell him. Me and you together, we'll go over all your options"

Tears had prickled in her eyes. "I never meant for this to happen Will"

He pulled her in for a hug. "I know sweetheart. It's alright. You'll have all the help you need from us. You won't be alone in this"

"What if I tell my dad he'll turn his back on me?"

"Jordan, you know that'll never happen. Your father loves you no matter what. He'll know you didn't mean for this to happen. He will never turn his back on you, you have my word"

"I want my mom Will. I want her more than anything right now" She had let out a sob.

"Oh Jo, sweetheart. Everything will be alright" He held her tighter and placed his chin on her head.

Will knew from working in a hospital seeing adult expected mothers scared, nervous, that had been one thing. It was another for it to be a young teen. A scared child in an adult situation. Not knowing what to do. What the right choice is. Feeling as if whatever choice she makes could feel like the wrong one.

Jordan was one to hardly ever show her vulnerable side, her weaker side, that hadn't been her. She knew when she got like that people would do anything, say anything to get her to do what they wanted. She'd been showing it more now due to the hormones that were building and bubbling inside her.

"I don't know what the right or wrong decision is"

"It's very hard and complicated, the choice you make has to be the one that is the best for your child. If you feel you can't take of the baby, you have adoption and abortion. Adoption can be a beautiful thing. You'd be giving a childless couple a baby of their own, yes biologically it would be yours and Kyle's but once you two sign those papers that baby will no longer legally be yours. You won't have any kind of say. Abortion. That'll be your choice should you wanna do it. But you can always keep the baby Jo. You can do it"

"I can't be a mother, a real mother at 14. I'm just piecing everything back together trying to gain control of it again. Will what if..what if I hurt this baby? I never knew. What if I hurt it by my drinking or drug use?"

"We'll figure all that out later"

Jordan then remembered the food in the kitchen and ran back. She began stirring the vegetables making sure they don't stick. Reaching in the cabinet she grabbed the box of potato mix and dumped it in the water and stirred it up and then added milk. Will had followed her.

"I didn't know you can cook"

"I have very many hidden talents. Cooking happens to be one of them" She noticed the brown bag in his hand. "What do you have in that bag?"

He passed it to her. "Prenatals you're gonna need them"

"Prenatals?"

"Vitamins. They're to help the baby throughout the duration of the pregnancy"

"Will you didn't have to"

"I did. Everyday in pregnancy is very important Jordan. This is a month supply"

"I… Thank you Will"

"Anytime kiddo"

"Do I wanna know how you got those?"

"Besides me working in a hospital. I think we should leave it at that"

"I do think about the baby. If it's a boy or girl. Strangely enough, I already have names picked out if I wanna keep it"

"Oh yeah?"

"If it's a boy, Justin. Justin Henry. After my brother and dad. If it's a girl, Anna. After my mom"

"Those are some good strong names"

"I promise I will tell my dad. As soon as I find the right words"

"I'm sure you'll find them"

"Will, swear to me you won't tell anyone. Not even Jay. This is something I have to do"

"You have my word"

Soon the redhead Halstead had left, as Jordan was finishing cooking there was a frantic knock on her backdoor when she went to see who it was her eyes nearly bugged out of her head as she saw Kyle she went and opened the door pulling him in.

"Have you gone completely insane? If my dad had been here we'd be in a load of trouble" Jordan told him.

"Aren't we already in a load of trouble?"

She sent a small glare. "What are you doing here?"

"Who was the dude that was here?"

"Were you…Were you spying on me?"

"I wouldn't say spying I would say watching"

"You were spying. And don't worry about Will, he's harmless, he's the brother of one of my dad's detectives. He's also a doctor he just dropped by to see how I was doing and to bring me something"

"What'd he bring you?"

"Kyle, I'm not trying to be an ass or anything but. I'm not in the mood to see anyone right now"

"Have you thought about.. Ya know. The baby"

"I'm still thinking. I don't know if I can do it I'm a kid"

"I'm practically a kid too"

"I'm an actual kid. Just give me a couple of days alright. I'm still thinking about everything. I haven't even told my dad yet and if you keep popping around he's going to not only catch you but know something is up. I appreciate you wanting to be around and wanting to help I do, I just need time to think about all of it"

"I'll always be there for you two, whatever you need. I'm there. I already got a few leads on some jobs with Adam's help. As soon as I can I'll find a better place for me to live"

"Kyle, that's great. It's amazing. But you shouldn't do it just because I'm pregnant. You should also want to do it for yourself. We both have a lot to figure out and sort out before we come to a decision about this"

"That is a very good point, I feel obligated to do so. I'm also responsible for what happened, I am the adult and I let things get to far"

"No, I let things get too far. We were both drunk and high that night. We're both responsible and we both let it get that far. We're both at fault for it, one of us could have stopped it and neither of us did. Now we must face the consequences of our actions"

"All I ask is don't make a decision you'll later regret. You may think it's the right decision now but later down the road you may come to regret it"

"That's why I'm still thinking about it"

Before Kyle could say something as the front door was being opened, Jordan's eyes had gone wide. "That's probably my dad, outside"

She pulled him out the back door through the yard to the gate. "Just give me a couple of days to figure out something and let me tell my dad. Once I know what I'm gonna do I'll tell you"

"Call me?"

"I'm pretty sure I know how to find you, now go before my dad has both our asses"

Jordan watched as he ran, she ran her fingers through her hair smoothing it back as she went inside. When she got back inside it had been her father, she had tried to calm her heaving breathing down. Hank looked and saw his daughter coming in the back door.

"Hey sweetheart, why are you coming in the back door?" Hank asked.

"Theo popped by for a quick second. I told him I had dinner cooking. How was work?" Jordan replied.

"About the same. What's for dinner?"

"Nothing big, just some chicken, mashed potatoes, and vegetables"

When Hank turned and saw his daughter, she looked a little pale. Her morning sickness had been worse that morning thankfully Hank hadn't seen her when it happened. He walked over and felt her forehead.

"You don't look so good honey, you don't feel warm. Are you feeling alright?"

"I'm fine dad. It's nothing, I promise"

He glanced and saw her feet were swollen. "Jo, your feet are swollen"

"N-no they aren't"

"Honey yeah they are. I think it's time we get you some new shoes and toss your old ones" He looked back at her. "Are you sure you're alright? If something's bugging you, you can tell me. You know that"

"I promise I'm fine dad. Why don't we eat?"

Jordan made the plates and Hank saw the brown paper bag on the table. "Sweetheart what's this?"

The teen looked back and her eyes were about to pop. Shit. She forgot to put those away. "Will brought that. I told him I'd been having trouble with my monthly cycle. That's just something to help regulate it"

"If it's still acting up, I'll call and make you a doctor's appointment"

"Sounds good dad"

She went and took the bag and brought it up to her room and put it in her nightstand drawer. The entire time she felt her heart hammering in her chest, the anxiety skyrocketed in her body. Jordan didn't know how much longer she could keep this from her father, she felt at any moment she could explode and let it come out. Might as well rip off the band aid now, the sooner she told her father. Probably the better.

Taking her time she had slowly gone down to where her father was, she saw he had been eating. It wouldn't be for long. Time for the moment of truth. Taking a deep breath she went over to him and sat across from him.

"Dad, can we talk?"

"Of course sweetheart, what's going on"

"First please don't get mad. I've already taken full responsibility for my part of it"

"Sweetheart, what's going on? Whatever it is, you can tell me. Was it another fight at school?"

"At this moment I wish it was something like that. That bag you saw, it's not to help with my monthly cycle. They're prenatal vitamins. Will brought them for me" She swallowed hard, her throat tightening. Tears burning and stinging in her eyes.

"Why would you need unless… Jordan are you… are you…" Hank didn't finish, he couldn't get the word out.

She had then felt a tear fall from her eye. "I'm pregnant"
