Meanwhile
After the Grizzlies 3rd elimination in a row, Grace walked up to the Mess Hall. Finding Brian waiting there for her, both waved at each other before Grace went over to him. Thinking back to a few hours ago.
(After the Trivia challenge)
Grace entered the communal washroom, running into Brian who was walking from the right hall which has the Boy symbol on it. "Hey Grace." Brian greeted, his hair dripping with water and he wore only a towel around his waist.
"Hey man." she lowly returned.
Brian frowned as he noticed her bummed out state, "Is everything alright?"
Grace sighed, "As alright as you can when you're going into your third straight elimination on a team with very little morale."
Brian tries to be reassuring, "Hey, many other TD teams don't do so well at first. You guys' first win should be very soon."
"Maybe." she shrugged.
"Hey, why don't you meet me at the mess hall after the elimination? Boost that low morale you feel you have?" Brian suggested.
Grace hummed in thought, "If you think it will help, sure."
"Sweet, see you then." Brian walks past her, Grace watched him go. Glad she has someone she can talk to at this camp. She walks to the girl's side of the showers, as she sets up to shower she hears a voice.
"Oooo, someone's gotta a hot date with a hotter guy." She turns to see Uma exiting one of the showers.
"Oh no, its not a date." Grace tells her, but the light blush on her face might tell a different story. Also because she was staring at a hot naked girl. "We're just gonna hang out."
Uma chuckled at her reaction before she takes a towel and dries herself off, "That's how it always starts, 'hanging out' turns into smooching, smooching turns into a one way trip to Bonetown. A place I'm very familiar with."
"I can tell." Grace looks away.
"I could give you some pointers if things get spicy." Uma offered.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm good." Grace affirms her.
"Okay, but the offer still stands just in case." Uma says before she spanks Grace just as she was leaving, drawing an 'eep' out of the chillaxer.
"Hey, you're still-"
"I KNOW!" Grace decided not to question Uma and her rather unique decisions.
(flashback ends)
Currently Brian and Grace were now seen watching some horror movies in the mess hall on the projector that was used during the yarn documentary portion of the Awakethon, with a big thing of popcorn in between them as they sat on the floor.
Currently they were watching Jaws: The Revenge, laughing at the stupidity of its plot. "I swear the writing team behind this sequel just pulled some random things from hat and tossed it into a blender." Brian commented.
"The same can be said for most horror sequels." Grace replies.
"So true." Brain laughed, Grace lets out a small chuckle as well. "Feeling better."
"Yeah, a little." she tells him, "Thanks Bry."
"Like my dad always says, nothing brightens a mood than making fun of shitty horror movies." he then reaches for a some popcorn, only for his hand to brush against Grace's who was also looking for some popcorn. Both of them pull their hands back and look away from each other with faces that could rival Knuckles the Echidna's fur in terms of redness.
"... So..."
"... So..."
The two slowly turned to each other, not knowing what to do. They never been so flustered around anyone else before, or ever. "You... um... wanttogoaxthrowingwithmetomorrowafterthechallenge?" Grace quickly lets out as she hides her face in her in her shirt.
Brian replaying what she asked in super slow motion, smiles as he pulls her far out from hiding "Dude."
Grace lets out a small chuckle, "Dude." before the two locked lips.
Over by the lake, we see Orion pacing on the dock muttering to himself. "I mean sure she's really pretty and stuff, but do I really think of her like that? I mean she spent the first year after we met making fun of me and my sister, I mean sure we've shared a few dances at her rich people parties before, and maybe that wasn't the first time she's kissed me. But those other kisses just lead to- GAAAAAH! Man I don't know what to do, I mean-"
"Orion."
The male twin jumped and screamed at the intrusion, before calming down seeing that it was the girl she that's been on his mind all day. Krystal just had enough in her to comment "You wanna try that again sounding like your own gender?"
Orion sighs, not having the right mind frame to quip back.
Krystal turns off her snark and asks, "So, what are you doing out here?"
"Just... thinking of ... stuff." he heads to the edge of the dock, the rich girl following after him. Both of them sat down with their legs hanging over the ledge. The light from the moon reflecting off the lake's surface "Krystal."
"Yeah."
"What are we?" Orion questioned.
"Huh?" she asked.
"What are we?" Orion repeated, "Are we friends, are we enemies, are we people who argue in front of people but behind close doors we make out like crazy? Because after 3 years of this, I don't even know anymore." his tone had a mix of confusion.
"Orion-"
"I mean one week your looking down on us like dirt, the next week you're all buddy buddy with us, a cycle of rinse and repeat. And just a month before this show you made the decision to choose your wealth over me and Maybelle." he sighed. "I just finally want answers. Do you like me or hate me?"
Krystal looked down at her reflection in the water, "I never said I hated you."
"Uh yeah you have, like several dozen times." he told her, "I still have the birthday card where you wrote, 'Happy Birthday, I hate you yah low class nerd!'"
"That was before I-" she stopped herself, looking away as she gripped the sides of her dress.
"Before what?" Orion asked.
Krystal grimaced before she stood up "Look, lets just forget it. I'll see you in the morning." she then left.
Orion watched her leave, now even more confused than before. "I wish I knew what was wrong with her."
"Clearly she likes you." Orion jumped before seeing Ryo's head popping out of the lake. "But she's conflicted on how to act on it because of you two's troubled history and her abusive parents warped concept of romance."
"How do you know that?" Orion questions.
Ryo pulls himself up on the dock, "I've looked into a few cases regarding her father's company. Also I installed my own cameras in the confessional, I hear a lot about everyone. Including hers about you."
"Gosh... what should I do?" Orion asked him.
"For now, I'd just be there for her. Rich people can buy anything they want, but what they can't buy is a real friend. And that's what she needs."
Orion thought well about his words, "Okay, thanks Ryo. By the way, did you find anything?" he pointed at the lake.
"Not much, other than this." Ryo handed him a photo, Orion looked at it and found it depicted a group of campers, three counselors, and other camp staff members. A sign says 'Camp Diamond Lake, Year of 1980'. Off to the side, next to who he presumed was the head chef was a small boy with a semi deformed face.
"This boy," he pointed to said boy, "is the same boy that reportedly drowned in the articles I read about this camp."
Ryo then added, "I also read somewhere that a year after that took place, two counselors were found dead."
"Should we inform the others?" Orion questioned.
"Not till we've found definitive proof, otherwise they'll think we're just paranoid teens."
"Good point." Orion confirmed, "Its getting pretty late, we should get to bed."
"Agreed." the two then headed to the boy's cabin, "By the way, I'd steer clear of Uma. She's apparently chosen you or Brian as her new 'past time'."
Orion eyes widened, "I'm just gonna go to bed now." he then ran the rest of the way to the cabin.
