As always I own nothing Stephine Meyers owns twilight and all characters I just thought up the idea and I'm borrowing the characters because they are perfect for this.

She had pale skin almost as pale as mine but currently, it was flushed from her ordeal, she looked at me with deep brown eyes that were staring wide they seemed a bit big for her face, her nose was small and her lips were pink and bowed her hair was long chocolate waves.

"I'm fine." She spoke softly but her hands were shaking.

I grabbed them without thinking.

"You're shaking come on," I said then letting go of her right hand grasping the left in my right I led her slowly out of the ally.

Once out in the opened into a more populated area.

I stopped for a moment.

A 24hr cafe nearby she needed to relax or she'll go into shock.

I started to walk my beef stop was so quick it might not have been even noticed by her.

"Where are you taking me?" she stuttered out as we neared the cafe.

"Here." I gestured to the cafe.

I turned to look at her.

She shivered as the wind blow and wiped her hair into her face.

I lifted my left hand pushing her hair out of her face.

She shivered again as she looked at me.

I realized I was too cold for her it was me of course it was I was making her cold.

I let go of her hand and was upset with the lake of heat I missed the connection instantly.

She wrapped her arms around herself and I noticed she had on a thin t-shirt and jeans.

I took my jack off and offered it to her.

I then held the cafe door open for her.

She looked at me with curiosity.

"I won't hurt you," I said.

She walked in.

"Sit where you like." A man yelled from the kitchen.

Causing her to jump beside me.

The man poking his head out from the opening in the wall over the counter and waved his hand around.

I gestured at the booth in the back.

"Why here?"

"Cause you need to eat or drink something or you'll go into shock. Or oh damn it, we should have called the cops." I blinked. I couldn't believe I didn't think about it.

"No NO I'm fine."

she looked really scared then.

"Are you like a runaway or?"

"What no...no." She laughed

"What can I get you?"

The waitress came up then she was in light jeans and a white and orange top that was uniform didn't look good with her tanned orange skin and she even pained her lips a dark orange.

'oh momma he's gorgeous. he couldn't possibly be with her.'

I looked at the girl in front of me and realize I don't even know her name.

She soon looks at me and I nodded to her.

"Coke."

"Two cokes," I said.

The waitress walked off.

"I'm sorry I was rude I'm Edward. " I said

"Bella." She looked hesitant.

I pushed the menu to her.

"I'm fine."

"It's on me," I said

"I can buy my own I'm not homeless or on the run. I go to college here," she stated insulted

I smirked she was feisty.

"I didn't mean to insult you I'm sorry I was just making sure you're, okay I mean you were just attacked."

"I'm good at blocking out bad things," she said slowly.

"How did you find me anyway?"

I frowned.

The waitress was back then she put the cokes down and looked at me.

"What can I get you?" Anything you want my number my address.

I winced and looked to Bella.

She glanced at the menu.

"Eggs benedict."

The waitress scribbled it down then turned fully to me again and smiled.

"And you?"

"Fine, thanks."

"Okay let me know if you change your mind."

"She's so rude." Bella huffed

she was glaring at the waitress.

"I won't leave her a good tip," I smirked.

"You didn't answer my question?"

"What?" I asked

"How did you find me?"

"I was across the other ally."

"Why?"

"I just left a bar and needed air so I went for a walk."

"Your drunk?"

"No." I laughed " I'm the designated driver I hate clubs and bars but my siblings begged me to go to watch them." I frowned

I looked at the time on my watch.

it was a bit after 1am.

"If you have to go it's fine."

"No, they saw me leaving and knew I wasn't coming back. I'm sure they'll be fine."

"You should check though." She said.

I nodded.

I took out my phone and sent a quick text to Rosalie she would be the only one that would check her phone if to just check her makeup.

'Whatever.' Was her reply I rolled my eyes.

I put my phone away and looked up at the beautiful girl that was looking at me with wide eyes.

I wonder what she's thinking.

Then I noticed.

nothing.

I tried harder. I got nothing I could hear the cook, the waitress that was thinking inappropriate thoughts about me but her it...it was like she wasn't there it was just nothing no ringing and no pictures.

I...I couldn't hear her not a whisper.

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Yes, I'm... Are you okay?" She shouldn't be asking me how I am it was I that was almost... I stopped and tried to force the memory of those vile thoughts.

"I am fine, You looked confused." She said

"I just I just didn't notice before," I said without thinking.

"What?" She asked her head tilted to the side a bit.

I stared at her. She looked so beautiful.

Beautiful?

Yes, she looked at me with such an open expression so soft.

'He can't be into her I mean really?'

The thoughts of the waitress reminded me she was waiting for an answer.

"You... well you are beautiful," I said honestly.

her whole face turned red in a delicious way.

I inhaled deeply her scent smelled of strawberries and freesias it was so good but I wasn't hungry.

I tilted my head to the side, she didn't smell like food she just smelled good.

A perfume maybe?

"What were you doing in dark ally anyway its dangerous alone."

"I was walking home from the library I left later than usual and decided to take a shortcut."

I shook my head.

"You were out alone."

"I'm stronger than you," I stated.

"I had mace I would..." She trailed off and I notice her handshake again.

"Maybe if there was one of them," I said gently.

She nodded "Thank you for saving me."

"Your welcome."

I pushed her drink closer to her.

"Drink."

She finished it quickly I slid the other coke to her.

She smiled and to a couple of sips.

She shivered slightly and she pulled her left arm under the table and wrapped it around her middle.

"Are you Cold?"

"It's just the Coke."
"It could also be a sign of you going into shock."

"Really I'm fine um I'm okay."

"After what happened whether you block it out or not it is like it didn't phase you."

"I..." She looked at me her Chocolate eyes seemed to just freeze me in place. "I feel safe with you."

I smiled I felt a warmth envelop me.
