Rosie quietly observed the whole exchange from the back of her shop. She had an eye on Alastor's significant other for a while now. It was quite a surprise to find out her long time friend had a secret sweetheart.
It was uncanny, to say the least, that the calculated demon she knew him to be, would throw himself in the arms of a living woman and risk social bashing for a few moments of pleasure. Thank Lucifer, she died, or else he would probably be still making a fool out of himself on Earth's surface!
She knew sinners could be sentimental about their past, mortal life, but she never noticed such tendencies in Alastor. Oh, how blind she was. To her utter surprise he even admitted to her he was lying about his cannibalism. No wonder stag would avoid her dinner invitations at all cost.
For years she tried to set him up with many ladies of his era, but he seemed completely unfazed by their beauty and good manners. And they were not an easy pick, since Rosie firmly believed he shouldn't settle for any demon of at least kingpin status. She even starts to doubt, alongside with other demons, if he was into that stuff at all, so discovery that he indeed was would heat up the imagination of the young attractive succubus looking for sponsor. Now she knew the reason, it did make some sense. At least it would if she wasn't so… plain.
She even hoped that the overlord entered the Happy Hotel of the hair of Hell throne to court the princess. It was quite disappointing when it turned out he had no such intentions. Now, that would be a good match!
Granted, some would still accuse Alastor of misalliance, but at least that one would be in his favour. And one could argue that the spouses would be matched in the dark magic and powers.
A true shame, but she wouldn't dare to say it out loud.
While she could agree there was nothing much to her, and Al could do better, it was not her place to lecture him.
Those ladies however…. she would have to have a chat with Radio demon about the whole situation.
That meak cyclops wasn't even defending herself! Why would he let her alone out of the house when she is this unprepared? She even heard that this demon married to her friend was working as a maid, what a scandal!
He should be avere all actions of Niffty are reflecting on his good name! That woman already dragged her dear friend down enough, with not one but two cherubs children! At least one of them has become a sinner already. Rosie hoped Ton-Ton will be able to sin as fast as he grew older.
That succubus got a point saying he could revisit an idea of concubine.
She should absolutely warm him up to it. She knew that he back when he was a human wasn't raised to polygamy, but in Hell having a lover or two would be not just normal, but well suited. Alastor however was not so open to Hell's customs whenever she tried to bring it up.
Princess Charlotte was out of the question, since his status dropped and would not allow him to have a second bride that would simply dominate him, that ship sank. Ah, if only Charlotte met him first! Niffty could be ok, as a second, well, maybe third or forth concubine, but as a first wife? What a wasted potential!
What if no available proper lady would be interested in being placed below this unfitted legal wife?
He also needs to understand that his woman may get hurt outside the golden cage beginning this powerless! Rosie had no doubts that if it wasn't for Alastor, Niffty wouldn't survive in Hell even for those 2 years she's been here. The second life on Earth he had must have twisted his morals, if he was just letting mrs. Basco getting attacked.
She felt like this cyclops was in a desperate need of a friend like her! As overlord herself, and a true Hellborn, she could teach her how to behave. This would need a little sacrifice of her own status, but if he would change Niffty's attitude, Rosie could picture herself next to him… yes, that was a pleasant thought.
They could even elevate Radio Demon status by picking him right concubines, job usually suited for the first wife, but somehow She doubt Niffty would know how to do it for Al. What if she picked him an imp! Yuck! Mimzy seems like a good pick, since she was very much into Al. She even tried to match them before, when she didn't know the reasons for his long bachelor life.
Rosie was quite sure that with her in that family every demoness would be throwing herself under Alastor feets. She wouldn't let any of her actions disgrace such a gentleman as him.
And now their daughter was off to marry, she could help her too! Raising that second kid must be challenging, so they will be so grateful to her Alastor will be popping a question in no time!
Did I just write a chapter where I admitted that everybody in this AU wants a piece of venison ass? Yes. But I admit, I made Rosie obsessed with Alastor. She is not in love with him, but she won't let his status drop even if she would have to eliminate every "obstacle" in his way.
Is it 100% canon in the show itself? Yes. And you all know it.
The next chapter takes place after Daria's and Anthony's wedding from "Arachnophobia!", so I will probably post it when I get there.
