Back in Prehistoria, Melody was still out collecting some branches and vines to help with the split for the mother dragon's wing. She had to wander a little further away than the dragon told her, as the grove of trees had few vines, probably from plant-eating dinosaurs passing through and fed on them.

"Okay, maybe just a few more." Melody said grabbing some sticks.

Then a rustle was heard close by as Melody gasped turning to the direction of it.

"H-Hello?" Melody called out.

Melody looked around trying to see what around, and here in Prehistoria, humans are prey. Chances are it could be the black predatory dinosaur from earlier. And Prehistoria is clearly a no man's land.

Just then, the young dragon walked out from the brush.

"Oh, it's you." Melody said relieved.

"Expecting something else?" He said.

"Kinda, but... nevermind." Melody said. "What are you doing out here?"

"Your mother didn't felt comfortable with you out here alone, so my mom sent me to help you." The young dragon said. "This is clearly a place where humans aren't in their domain incase you haven't noticed."

"I think I get the idea now." Melody said. "Anyway, I don't think we have been introduced properly."

"Yeah, I don't think have." The young dragon said. "What's your name?"

"I'm Melody." Melody introduced herself.

"Melody, huh?" The young dragon said. "That's a pretty name."

"Thanks. My mom picked it." Melody said. "What's yours?"

"My name's Draco." He introduced himself. "Follow me, I know this area a little better and know where to find some good vines."

Melody then started to follow Draco.

"Um, Draco?" Melody said.

"Yeah?" Draco said.

"When that dinosaur attacked us, why didn't you, you know... fly away?" Melody asked.

Draco then got uneasy and sighed.

"Actually, I... can't fly." Draco admitted. "Or breathe fire."

"What?" Melody blinked.

"I haven't flown at all in my entire life." Draco said. "But, I'm somewhat close to getting there. Look, we better hurry and get those materials before dark. And trust me, you don't wanna be out here at night."

They headed off as they soon found the grove of trees and gathered some vines.

At 6 years, Draco's wing musculature is fully developed. But untested.

Young dragons normally learn to fly when they become fully independent and old enough to fend for themselves, but with some unfortunate ones it becomes too sudden.

Draco's mother has become injured at a critical moment.

He may never get off the ground.

And that spells trouble for a dragon that can't fly.

If he is to survive, he must discover the power of flight on his own.

Meanwhile, Tip and Dash were still waiting on the beach for Ariel and Melody.

"I wonder what's taking them so long." Dash said.

"I hope they didn't get lost." Tip said.

Suddenly a rustle in the brush was heard close by as they turn to it.

"Uh... hello?" Tip said.

"What was that?" Dash said slightly nervously.

Then a bone-shivering growl was heard as they cling to each other.

"Dash?" Tip nervously said.

"Uh-huh?" Dash nervously replied.

"Was that your stomach?" Tip nervously asked.

"Unh-unh." Dash nervously shook his head.

More growling was heard as then they saw a shape in the shadows, and 2 menacing red eyes. Tip and Dash shivering like mad in fear as this creature to them is more terrifying than a shark. Then the shape in the shadow rose up high and then lets out a blood-curdling screech as the 2 screamed their heads off and took off into the water and flee like there was no tomorrow.

Then emerging from the shadows was the black scaled dinosaur from earlier as he watches them go and lightly snorted.

Unaware of what has happened, it was now night as they were all asleep, and Draco's mother now has a splint on her wounded wing.

As they slept, Melody then stirred as then Morgana's maniacal laugh echoed in her mind. And then suddenly Morgana laughing snatching Melody in her tentacle in the ice cave momentarily flashed, as well as her shooting the trident forming the ice wall over the cave trapping her.

Melody suddenly shot awake and quickly sat up breathing heavily.

She turned to her mother as Ariel was still asleep, she then turned to Draco sleeping next to his mother.

Finding that she couldn't go back to sleep, Melody quietly got up and sneaks away heading off somewhere.

But her sneak away hasn't gone unnoticed.

Melody wanders away from the crater, and soon came across a shallow stream of water. She kneels down and splashed some water on her face, and then she thought she saw Morgana's reflection on the water as she gasped and quickly turns to face her. But there was no sign of her, or anything close by, she then groaned uneasily.

It seems Morgana's return during the attack has left Melody slightly traumatized, and now it seems to be getting the better of her.

"How am I gonna get through this?" She asked herself.

"Melody?" A voice said.

Melody looked back and saw Draco's mother, Rhaegal who has saw her sneaking away and followed her.

"Are you alright, dear?" She asked.

"I-I'm fine." Melody said.

"I can see it in your eyes that you're not." Rhaegal said. "Something is troubling you, isn't it?"

Melody uneasily sighed." Okay. It's Morgana."

Rhaegal was slightly stunned. "So the stories are true. Morgana is real."

"I dealt with her firsthand, and has been a problem since I was small." Melody said.

"So it was you that day." Rhaegal said.

"Say again?" Melody frowned.

"You'd be surprise how things get around." Rhaegal said. "A little over 12 years ago, word was mentioned of a little baby that was threaten by the sea witch, Morgana. And then was never heard from again, but then 12 years later, she resurfaced again."

"I truly didn't know who she was till it was too late." Melody said. "I never meant to hurt anyone."

"Hey, we all make mistakes." Rhaegal said gently lifting Melody's chin with her tail. "And we learn from them to make sure nothing similar happens again."

"My mother told me I'm brave, but... right now I'm scared." Melody said knowing Morgana will turn up sooner or later.

"I understand." Rhaegal said. "When scared, you feel you have to run to get away from it. But sometimes, the best way to overcome a fear is to face it."

Melody lightly smiled.

"Come on." Rhaegal said. "Let's head back before your mother realizes you're gone."

They then begin to head back, unaware that a pair of light orange eyes were watching them. And then the creature lightly trills and turns away and silently heads off.

The next day, Melody and Draco were out looking for materials to help Rhaegal's wing from becoming infected.

And here, the smell of blood is a magnet for predators.

"So, remind me again what we're looking for?" Melody asked.

"There's some leaves close by that can help my mom's wing." Draco explained. "When made into a paste, it can be used to help with wounds."

Eventually, they found a bush with leaves they were looking for. They started gathering as much as they could, when they finally, Melody stepped back as she then felt she stepped into a hole.

She looked down and saw it wasn't a hole, but a footprint left from a predatory dinosaur.

Draco saw it as well, and he sniffs it as it was made a while ago. And whatever made it, is likely long gone.

They left the crater when the sun rose at first light, now it seems the daylight predators are beginning to stir.

They were soon almost done about to head back, but they then grabbed a few more vines for the split. They were by the beach, and Melody recognized the area as it was where they left Tip and Dash.

She went over to the shoreline, but saw no sign of them.

"Tip? Dash?" Melody called out.

"Looking for someone?" Draco asked.

"We left 2 of my friends here, yesterday." Melody said. "Tip and Dash. But I don't see them anywhere."

"Maybe something appeared that made them swam away." Draco said.

"I just hope they're okay." Melody said.

They were about to head back, when then Draco saw something that looked appetizing to him.

A salmon on the beach washed up and was near an old carcass.

Feeling hungry as he hasn't ate anything for over a day, he went over to it and grabs the salmon and swallowed it whole.

But Draco was unaware that his sophisticated flight system is about to be put to the test.

While he and Melody begin to head back, a more dangerous creature has picked up the scent of the carcass.

Just pass, brush was heard breaking as they looked and saw a large black shape emerging from the treeline.

The large black Carnotaur.

"Oh, no." Melody said.

The Carnotaur growled as he made his way to the carcass, Draco and Melody nervously backed away as the dinosaur went up to the carcass and sniffs it. And then turns to the 2 close by, realizing they were in trouble, Draco quickly helps Melody on his back as he quickly took off running as the Carnotaur watched them.

And given the choice, he'd prefer fresh meat.

Draco quickly made it pass the brush as he flees.

The Carnotaur then steps over the carcass and begins to chase after them.

And this time, his mother isn't there to save him.

The large Carnotaur closes with surprising speed.

The Carnotaur roared as he chased after the 2.

Draco's only hope of survival is to get airborne.

Draco ran as fast as his legs could carry him as Melody held on as the Carnotaur was right behind them.

Soon, the chase leads them to a grove of trees.

Cleverly, Draco heads for the trees. He knows the confined space will slow the Carnotaur down.

The Carnotaur snaps at the young dragon narrowly missing him as Draco made a sharp turn and he ran. And his body was now working overtime, his heart beating, and muscles pumping.

The Carnotaur roars as they were soon back out in the open.

But Draco actually knows this area and continues running as the Carnotaur was now gaining on them. But then Draco noticed a steep ledge ahead and heads for it, and the Carnotaur snaps near his tail.

At the last moment, he nears the ledge and then spreads his wings at last.

Draco quickly leaps off the ledge with his wings out as Melody screamed as the Carnotaur halts to a stop at the edge.

The Carnotaur growled as he looked around, and then nearby was Draco flying off as Melody held on.

The Carnotaur roars out and then snorted as he turns away and heads off.

And Draco flies off further away as Melody soon opened her eyes finally and realized they were in the air flying.

"Draco." Melody said. "You're flying!"

"I know!" Draco beamed. "It's amazing! Whoo-hoo!"

They continued flying through the air.

Draco has finally found his wings, and takes flight for the very first time in his life.

But if he is to stand a chance in the world, and is to live and fight another day. He must learn to master another legendary skill of his kind.

He must learn to breathe fire.

Shortly later, they were still in the air as they flew by a by leading to the ocean as Draco flew lower as his wing skims the surface.

They then flew by some rocks as Draco twirled through the air, and flew over the bay as a pod of Ichthyosaurs breached out of the water like dolphins. And they soon flew up and spun around a tall tree quickly as Melody got a little dizzy.

They soon flew over a river heading inland as Draco held Melody by her arm in his talons as he flew low enough for her feet to skim the surface as she laughed. And they flew pass 2 dueling Ankylosaurus as they snorted and growled at each other. The 2 dinosaurs watched them go and they soon turn back to each and growled out.

They soon flew by a herd of Pachyrhinosaurus drinking by the river's edge, and some feeding on the bank.

They then near a waterfall as Draco flew a bit higher, and then dives down as Melody held on.

They soon reached the bottom as Draco levels off through the layer of mist passing by a few pterosaurs and flies off.

"Whoo-hoo!" Melody cheered.

They soon flew over a high valley with a deep gorge as on the plateau was a large herd of dinosaurs feeding and other things. And Draco flew down flew as he soars just over the herd as it was made of Iguanodons, Parasaurolophus, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Brachiosaurus.

And Melody was amazed by the sight of the dinosaurs as it was one of the most beautiful things she has ever seen.

Draco flew over the herd several Parasaurolophus rushed by and other dinosaurs were grazing. And then they near 3 Brachiosaurus as one lifts it's head up as Draco twirled and dove straight under the tail of the other Brachiosaur. And they soon flew away from the herd and pass the edge of the cliff of a high valley.

At the crater, Ariel and Rhaegal were still waiting for Draco and Melody to return.

"I wonder what's taking so 2 so long." Ariel said.

"I know, they should've been back by now." Rhaegal said.

Then a nearby roar was heard as they looked and then saw Draco flying in and was beginning come in for a landing.

"Draco?" Rhaegal said stunned seeing her son flying.

Draco flapped his wings more as he descended, and soon lands on the ground and Melody hopped off him.

"Draco? You were flying?" Rhaegal said stunned.

"I told you I'd get there 1 day." Draco said.

"Oh, son, I'm so proud of you." Rhaegal said.

Then suddenly the ground shook as a tremor started and a nearby steam vent suddenly off, and the tremor soon ended.

"What was that?" Melody said.

"A tremor." Rhaegal said not liking this. "We should probably head out."

They begin to move away from the crater, as another threat has just awaken.

And somewhere behind the distant hills, a pillar of smoke billows into the air.

An hour later, they have wandered to a valley near the west coast.

And strangely, a stream of lava flowed by a hill as a few other tremors happened earlier. Ariel, Melody and Draco waited at a clearing as Rhaegal scouts the area.

Then a distant explosion was heard as Draco turns and saw something as he froze.

"Guys." Draco said.

Ariel and Melody turned to what he was staring at.

"Holy..." Ariel exclaimed.

Suddenly the side of a nearby mountain released an explosion as smoke spews. Revealing to be a volcano as then an explosion rips from it's cone.

A lavabomb soars through the air and then hits the ground behind a treeline.

"Run!" A voice yelled.

They then looked back and saw Rhaegal running out from the trees as then distant bellows were heard as trees jostled and Compsognathus flee.

"Run!" Rhaegal yelled.

They then start to panic.

"Run!" Rhaegal yelled as she ran.

Then suddenly rushing from the trees and smoke came a Pteranodon, 3 Gallimimus, 2 Stegosaurus, an Apatosaurus, 2 Ankylosaurus, Iguanodon and Triceratops running as fast as their legs can carry them.

Seeing the stampede, they quickly turn and ran down the hill as few Compsognathus flee.

"Run!" Rhaegal yelled as she caught up to them.

A Gallimimus squawked as it flees, and then quickly rushed by the group. And a second Gallimimus rushed between almost running into Draco.

They quickly ran through the forest keeping a step ahead of the stampede, but then a number of trees came crashing down as one narrowly missed Draco.

They soon made it out of the trees as then some came down as 2 Ankylosaurus, a Parasaurolophus, and 2 Apatosaurus burst out as one bellows out. And behind them, the volcano released another explosion.

The group ran as a lavabomb hits the ground near them and Compsognathus flee by them as Gallimimus rushed by as a lavabomb hits the ground. They then rushed towards 2 large logs as 2 Gallimimus and an Iguanodon leaped out them as a lavabomb struck the ground ahead.

Draco rushed over a log and got behind a large boulder as a Compsognathus rushed by. And Rhaegal hurries over one as Ariel and Melody joins them. The stampede continues as then a fleeing Apatosaurus tramples the log on the right as they turn to it as a Gallimimus leaps over near them. An Ankylosaurus and 2 Gallimimus rushed on the left as another Apatosaurus tramples through the log and bellows as it rushed off. The group held onto each other as 2 Gallimimus rushed on the right log, and then a Brachiosaurus tramples over another section of the log. On the left side, another Brachiosaurus flees as an Ankylosaurus rams through another section as a Gallimimus leaps over and nearly trips as it runs off. And then a Stegosaurus rams through another section on the right, and then a Triceratops rams through a section on the left. Ankylosaurus and 2 Gallimimus rushed by on the right as then an Apatosaurus tramples the last section of log, and then a Sinoceratops rams through the last remaining section of log on the right.

And the group was now only left with the boulder shielding them from the stampede of dinosaurs as they rushed by.

Suddenly a passing Stegosaurus bumps against the boulder as they were knocked a bit.

"Go! Go!" Rhaegal said.

Draco then helps Melody onto his back as 2 Gallimimus and an Ankylosaurus rushed by.

"Come on!" Rhaegal said.

Draco then froze as then a roar was heard as they looked and froze.

As near them was a Carnotaurus as it roars out.

They remained still as the Carnotaurus circles them, and softly growls watching them.

Then the Carnotaur roars out as it looked it had it's attention on something else. They looked back and saw a Sinonceratops as the Carnotaurus charges as it tries to run off, but the Carnotaur quickly caught Sinoceratops by the frill almost pulling it off it's feet. The Carnotaur bites on the frill again as the Sinoceratops pulls away and they turn to each other as a fight broke loose. The Sinoceratops then charges and slams it's frill against the Carnotaur's back.

The group watched as the Sinoceratops then shoves the Carnotaur off it's feet, and then flicked it's right foot and kicks the Sinoceratops in the face as it quickly got up. And then the Carnotaurus bites down on the Sinoceratops' left front leg as then fight got too close as Ariel and Rhagel got out of the way, but the Carnotaur bumps into Draco as he hits the ground along with Melody.

Melody groaned as she rubbed her head.

The Sinoceratops roared as the Carnotaurus lunges to strike, and then the Sinoceratops hooks it's nose under under the predator's right leg tossing it into the air. And then the Carnotaur hits the ground hard as the Sinoceratops quickly makes a run for it.

Draco soon got to his feet and shook his head as they then turn back to the Carnotaur. The Carnotaurus soon got back on it's feet and shook it's head, but then turns to the group. Rhaegal stood in front of Draco shielding him as Ariel held Melody behind her as the Carnotaur circled them and roared as there was nowhere to run.

The Carnotaurus then roars out and then charges, and then from nowhere like a freight train. A Tyrannosaurus charges with open jaws and clamps down on the Carnotaur's neck catching it by surprise, and then pulls and wrestled the smaller carnivore to the ground. The T. Rex then lets go and lifts her head up and lightly growled and jostled her head.

Ariel and Melody stared completely shocked of their sudden savior.

The Tyrannosaurus had a set of 3 scars on the right side of her jaw corner going to her neck and another 2 set on her shoulders. And she lifts up having her left foot on the Carnotaur's neck and lets out a thunderous roar as the side of the mountain rips open unleashing a massive eruption. Then suddenly the shockwave soars pass them with a thunderous blast sound and momentarily stuns her. The T. Rex soon recovers and then steps over the Carnotaur as her 7 ton mass then snaps it's neck like a toothpick. And then roars as she takes off shook her head as she leaves the immediate area as Rhaegal and her son soon followed, and Ariel and Melody turn back to the volcano.

The volcano releases another thunderous explosion as a large pyroclastic flow covers the mountain side. And more dinosaurs appeared fleeing from it, as a Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus and 2 Apatosaurus flee. And a Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Iguanodon and Ankylosaurus were near as they ran and 2 Pteranodons flew in the air.

"Melody!" Draco yelled.

Ariel and Melody quickly took off running as a lavabomb hits the ground and Melody nearly avoids the Stegosaurus. A Gallimimus then rushed by as they ran as well as the other dinosaurs and the 2 Pteranodons rushed by. Ariel looked back as the oncoming wave of ash and ran.

Soon a large stampede began as a Triceratops roared as it ran, and then a sprinting Allosaurus turns to a Gallimimus nearing it and the predator snaps at as it rushed off. Ariel was behind it as well as an Ankylosaurus, Sinoceratops and 2 Apatosaurus as 2 Parasaurolophus bumped into each other. The Allosaurus continues running as it growled, and nears Melody as a Gallimimus rushed and one of the Apatosaurs bellowed.

The Allosaurus then roars at her, and then suddenly a lavabomb struck the ground near it as Melody narrowly avoids getting hit. The Allosaur was thrown off it's feet and rolls across the ground several yard and came to a stop, and then quickly got up and ran. 2 Gallimimus narrowly ran each other as they peel off from each other, and then a Pteranodon was forced to fly lower as a lavabomb struck the ground in front of an Ankylosaurus as it avoids it. And another lavabomb hits the ground near 2 Gallimimus as ahead of them was the ocean.

But also ahead of them was a cliff with a sheer drop to the ocean below, and some dinosaurs stood on the edge and begin to head off in different directions. As well as the other dinosaurs nearing the edge as other continued running as a fleeing Carnotaurus avoids a lavabomb striking the ground.

Rhaegal and Draco continued running as well as Melody as she looked back as the ash flow was catching up to Ariel. She kept running as well as a Stygimoloch near her, and a Gallimimus rushed out of the ash as it starts to close in.

Melody looked back ahead and then suddenly saw the cliff edge right in front of her.

Draco manages to reach the edge and takes to the air, as Rhaegal and Melody were forced to jump over the edge. They fell down the cliff and soon hit the water near a Sinoceratops swimming up for air. Soon they both begin to swim up as a Stegosaurus and Gallimimus hit the water, and then an Ankylosaurus. Rhaegal and Melody reached the surface as a small fireball struck the Gallimimus on it's leg.

A Sinoceratops bellows in distress as it swims, and close by a Parasaurolophus and Ankylosaurus desperately try to climb up onto some rocks.

"Mom?" Melody called out looking for her mother. "Mom?!"

Then suddenly, Ariel rose up from the water gasping and then coughed.

"Mom!" Melody said.

"I'm okay." Ariel said swimming over to her.

After a long swim, they finally came across a flat beach by some volcanic vents as they crawled onto the beach and Draco landed.

Ariel and Melody lay flat on the sand coughing as Rhaegal starts to regain her strength.

Melody soon sat up. "I think that's all the excitement I want for today."

"I can agree with that." Ariel said.

They then laughed a bit and soon got as they and Rhaegal and Draco begin to head inland away from the volcano.

Though Melody could have sworn she thought she saw something in the brush close by, but soon shrugged it off and left.

However, the volcano was barely a threat of what is to come.

Many miles further north, a great glacier wall stretching for miles stood hundreds of feet high. And standing on the flat surface top was Slattern as he watches the distance, and then turns and looks back.

As there was a vast ocean of trapped water as the glacier was acting as a dam holding it.

And that was his plan.

He plans to flood Eric's Kingdom and wipeout everything and everyone for miles on the mainland. And unfortunately, Prehistoria is also in it's path.

Slattern is now becoming a threat to everything.

The T. Rex by the way, let's just say she will involved of leading to the defeat of 1 certain villain later on.

And here's something a bit unexpecting. I was looking up this Little Mermaid Wiki site, and when I got to Melody, I found that Melody's birthdate is July 8, 1854. Crazy right? I did thought she might have been born sometime in the summer, but I thought June might've been her birth-month.
