Chris: You take that back now!

Chris: (Huffing and puffing) Fine she doesn't own Va just the plot, take it back now
Me:Fine, I'll take it back. (whispering so he can't hear) not
Chapter 7 : Roller Coaster
P.S Sorry it took me longer to post guys its been a crazy few days enjoy.
Alberta's office is on the far side of campus in the same building as the Headmistress Office and all the meeting rooms. Her office is located on the very top floor right hand corner. I know the way, having spent a fair amount of time there since I turned four. Alberta has always been more of a mother figure than a teacher. I can't decide if that is going to make this harder or easier.I desperately want to grab Dimitris hand but I refrain until we're actually in her office.
"I was wondering when I would see you two, please have a seat." She doesn't even look up from her desk while gesturing to the chairs in front of her. "Belikov, I'm glad to see you feeling better."
"Thank you, it feels good to be back."
"Well, we obviously have a lot to talk about-" starting what I'm sure is a well rehearsed speech, but my big mouth just can't help but mutter "We have more to talk about than you know."
Jerking her head toward me, her eyes narrow. "What was that Hathaway?"
Sighing, I pull Mark's letter out and hand it to her " Just keep in my mind neither of us saw this until a few days didn't really think we had anything to worry about."
Slowly her eyes move across the paper taking in the words "I have a guess as to what this letter means but why don't you spell it out for me?" She looks as tired as I feel.
"I'm pregnant." mumbling and looking at my feet I brace myself.
Silence is the only thing that hits for a long moment "I don't know what I'm going to do with you two, or honestly how to deal with this, my plan was to send Belikov to court until after graduation, but now considering this new information that might not be the best idea. This complicates things… you aren't 18 yet Rose if the wrong person were to find out Dimtri would be in serious trouble. "
"I know but we don't have that long until graduation anyway right only three and a half months...I won't really be showing by then we can keep it on the downlow right? I don't want to lose Dimitri."
Alberta looks skeptically between us " I'm not going to report this.. In fact I'm going to pretend I don't know a thing about you two." all tension in the air drops out "Rose I'll get together with Dr.O and we'll come up with a suitable training schedule and we'll figure out what to do about trails. Take today off and figure out how you're going to keep this under wraps."
Thanking her we quickly head out of her office before she can change her mind.
The soft smell of the fire waffles to my nose as I snuggle closer to Dimitri, the fire that warms the cabin wouldn't do much if the space where even a little bigger but the fireplace is the perfect size to keep the room warm. Behind me Dimitri snores softly, tightening his arm around me protectively and I wonder if these next few months could go any slower. Once I graduate there won't be anything to stop us. We'll be safer when I turn 18 next week, but we won't be completely in the clear until I'm no longer his student. I know it weighs very heavy on him…. Having to figure out the balance of duty and family has been difficult. I know once we tell our parents it's going to become even more screwed than it already is, I'm so terrified that this little one will be rejected by everyone but its parents, the thought sends my hand to stroke my stomach in soft soothing circles. I never thought in a million years this is how my life would be heading. I have no idea what I'm doing. I've never been around babies before in my life., but I do know I already love this little bean with everything I have and I haven't even felt it move yet. So if I can give this little baby that much love. I can do all the other stuff like change the diapers and do the all nighters. I can juggle that with being a guardian as long as I have Dimitri to help me. Warm kisses scatter down my neck and I roll around to face him "How long have you been awake?
"Just a few minutes, how did you sleep?" his voice is so soft and relaxed it feels good to just be here for a while without any of our problems,
"After last night's activities I slept like a rock." winking I give him a suggestive kiss.
He's so full of love and life but I can see the strain in his face as well. "We should probably keep these cabin trips to a minimum until after your birthday. You know, it's risky to be here myila."
My eyes drop as I nod silently agreeing with him. I know he's right but lately after all the time away from each other we both had needed this. My birthday is only a week away. We can wait that long. Seeing the sadness cross my face his fingers find my chin and he pulls my face to his, his lips touching mine. "I have a little surprise for you. " he hops out of bed relieving his completely naked self , smiling. I take the chance to look him up and down admiring his wonderful body. " See something you like?" He teases me.
"Always Comrade, now get my surprise and bring your sweet ass back to bed."
Laughing, he pulls something out of his duster pocket hiding it behind his back. "Close your eyes, no peeking!" Once my eyes are closed he places something soft in my hands, it's small and made of a fluffy fabric "Okay you can open them."
A little onesie sits folded in my hands and I unwrap it to see what it says, its white with black letters and in big bold italics it says "Best Surprise Ever " my heart jumps to my throat, still clutching the onesie I throw my arms around Dimitri exposing my naked upper half. I manage to get out "I love you." before we both hear the clicking of the door and freeze. Him sitting 100% naked and my upper half fully exposed holding a baby onesie looking to the very astonished and angry looking Tasha Ozera.
Taking a little longer than I want to recover from the shock I pull the blanket up to my chest as Dimitri pulls on his pants, all the while Tasha stares gapping at us. "What.. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"
Dimitri tries to calm her down "Tasha lets go talk about this outside." he'a fully clothed now and trying to lead her to the door. She might have gone too if she hadn't spotted the onesie,
Her eyes are filled with more anger than before "WHAT IS THAT? IS THAT.. ARE YOU!?" She is screaming "DIMIKA SHE IS OBVIOUSLY CHEATING ON YOU! HOW CAN YOU STILL BE WITH HER!"
"Please Tasha , it's more complicated than that." He ushers to the door again and this time she follows leaving me alone to find my clothes, waiting for him to come back. I put out the fire and make the bed before sitting at the small table refolding the onesie until he comes back in. I can hear loud voices but not enough to make out the words and I know that this isn't going to end well. After what feels like forever he finally comes back looking worn and tired "She's very upset."
"What are you going to do?" my voice is barely audible looking toward him feeling very tired myself.
"I don't know Roza, she threatened to go to the authorities."
"It won't matter if I don't testify they can't make me talk and no one is going to believe this baby belongs to both of us… it's not supposed to be possible." it's supposed to be reassuring but really it just comes as a tremble.
"They can make you myila, it's not your choice. If they summon you and you refuse you could wind up in jail, I would rather have me there than you."
"No, this baby deserves both of us, what are we going to do?"
Taking my hand he kisses it softly "We'll figure it out I promise."
Looking at him I know he means it but I also know he has no ideas "I think it's time we told Abe."
