Hi. I'd like to clarify that I didn't intend this to be Justice league Unlimited specifically. I messed up somewhere but any characters you find here that don't belong to it, pls don't comment. Its been many years since I was a Justice League fanboy so I can't remember all parts of the franchise. I'm also gonna add stuff in from the extended multiverse as well as Dark soooo...yeah, just thought I'd clear that up. Like I hinted in my profile, I don't always stick to one train.

I'll stop waffling now.

Enjoy!

Seated around a large table in the Watchtower were the core members of the Justice League. This consisted of Batman, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern (John, not Hal), Wonder Woman, and Flash. The rest of their comrades were either sleeping or recovering mentally from their most recent battle. As you might have guessed, the topic at hand was of course Bardock, whose name they had not yet found out. He clearly possessed a strength they had never seen or heard of before. They way he toyed with Darkseid in just a few seconds showed as not even Superman could perform such a feat no matter how much sunbathing he did. And from their perspective, Bardock had not even been breathing heavy after the fight. So taking that into consideration ,just how powerful could he be?

"My biggest concern is what to do with him." stated Batman. "He's far too powerful to be left wandering around Earth unsupervised. And we are not even certain of his name, let alone his motives."

"You're right. I've run his abilities through the database, and nothing came up. He must be from an unknown race." commented Green Lantern. After consulting fellow Lanterns and having them check through the logs even on Oa, the results came up negative. It began to slowly creep into his mind that the Guardians' words were not always trustworthy completely.

"I didn't get the chance to use my X-ray vision on him. It's a shame we don't have much more to go on." said Superman. "It's been six hours since we've last seen him. And there's not a trace of him anywhere. Anyway, I'm grateful for his help against Darkseid."

"As am I. There's no telling what would be happening now had he not intervened." Wonder Woman ran her fingers through her hair.

"If only we knew the location of Anti-Life. Then we could secure it." said the Martian.

"We're getting off topic!" snapped the bat. "Until we discover why he's here, he cannot be given free reigns to do as he pleases. We must at the very least bring him here and detain him."

"Come on Bruce. Just give the kid some leeway, will ya? He saved our butts after all." Flash put in his thoughts. He was usually the relaxed one of the group and he wasn't all that bothered by the newcomer. Sure his power was kind of freaky but the guy didn't seem hostile.

"You're missing the point Barry. He's most definitely stronger than the Kryptonians with what he did to Darkseid. And considering you weren't able to see him attack Steppenwolf implies that he could very well be faster than you as well."

"Someone with that kind of power cannot be allowed to walk free unless we can be sure of his intentions. I agree with Bruce here. The risks are too great." said Green Lantern.

"If we could find him, I can look into his mind. That should give us the answers we need." said J'onn.

"Whatever we do, let us proceed carefully and on good terms. I can't imagine the consequences if we end up making an enemy of him." Diana stated. But deep inside, her blood was racing. Any fool could see that the boy was a trained warrior and her Amazon origins were kicking in. The Amazons were the greatest warrior race out there, and right now she was dying to test her own strength against him. This encounter could take her to new heights and he was likely good with a sword too. That just made things more exciting.

Batman looked down at the file he created. All the boys abilities were listed and all that was left now was a name, race and weakness; the last one being his main goal. If things went south, they needed an advantage over him. However painful it was to admit, it was certain beyond a doubt that this lone warrior could potentially defeat them all.

"All right then. We're going to look for him. Superman you go to-"

An alarm suddenly went off, and red lights started flashing.

"J'onn?"

"There was just some some sort of earthquake in Iceland just now. It's stopped all of a sudden."

"Pull up a satellite image."

Bardock had been flying for a long time. According to his report, the place should be somewhere near here. His thought drifting back to the group he'd encountered a few hours earlier, he had no doubt they'd be on his tail. As regrettable as it was, he didn't have time to waste. He liked getting a job done as quickly as possible before having cosy chats with anyone. It was just the way he worked. Anyway, missions assigned to Time Patrollers were not something to be lazy with. They affected history and existence altogether, so it was best that they were made first priority.

Finally he came upon a mountain range encircling a large flatland with a mouth in the peaks that lead to the sea. This was the place alright. Landing, Bardock took a capsule out of his pocket, clicked the top and tossed it. When the smoke receded, before him was large battleship. He'd hijacked it from the Frieza Force after a run-in with them. Fortunately it was a large royal battleship and after a few modifications, it became his space home. From inside his coat, he pulled a smartwatch and snapped it on his wrist. At the click of a button, the ship came to life and lifted off the ground. From its belly, a panel slid open and green lights began flashing from inside the revealed space.

Bardock then looked towards the ground. Kneeling down he picked up a handful of earth and lowly let it fall between his fingers. His senses were tingling. Standing back up, he pulled his sword out of its scabbard. The dark blade gleamed wickedly in the sun. Channelling his Ki into it, he watched as red, vein-like patterns began appearing all over it as it filled with his power. The wonders of a Katchin sword infused with Divine Energy. Lifting it above his head, he brought it down on the ground. As he did so, the ground shook as the whole tectonic plate quivered with the blow. Fires began spreading outward from where he was standing and when he straightened, he saw that the fire had etched a very complex pattern in the ground. The lines glowed red-orange and the entire ground was blackened.

Bingo.

Here before him was the 'Ultimate Weapon'. The Anti-Life Equation.

"Alright Juno. Commence the scan and erasure."

''Affirmative.'' came a robotic woman's voice from his watch. The green lights under his ship shout out a scanning laser began to scan the equation. As it did so, the equation was slowly rubbed out of existence. Right as it finished, he clicked another button on his watch and the ship reverted back to capsule form. Catching it as it fell, he placed it back in his pocket.

He then felt a few powerful energies approach him before he heard the thud of a few feet behind him. Turning around he found three Kryptonians, Captain Marvel, Martian Manhunter, the two Green Lanterns, Wonder Woman, and Captain Atom. The Bat cruise landed behind them and out of it came Flash and Batman. All immediately began walking to him.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of being visited by Earth's defenders?" Bardock asked in a bored tone.

"You're coming with us." Batman stated flatly.

Bardock raised an eyebrow as he sheathed his sword. This one seemed to have an attitude problem.

"I have no obligation to go with you anywhere."

"Please understand. We are tasked with protecting Earth from all danger. While we are thankful for your help with Darkseid, you are still unknown to us." Clark tried to reason with him. At his side was Kara nodding, while at the same time checking him out head to toe. Bardock meanwhile carried on.

"That imbecile. Too bad I couldn't kill that idiot. His darn ships were in the way."

"Kill! You mean you don't mind killing your enemy." questioned Powergirl eyes wide. Bardock shook his head. "You can't just murder people!"

Bardock gave her a 'Are you stupid?' look.

"There is no such thing as murder on the battlefield. Even you should know that."

"What's your name?" Batman interrupted. At the same time he mentally told J'onn to probe the boy's mind.

J'onn tried so, but he just couldn't find a way in. It was as there was a steel wall covering the boy's mind.

'I cant. He's got some sort of mental barrier up. He's surprisingly well disciplined in the mind.'

'Damn it. Keep trying.'

'You know it's rude to enter a person's mind without their permission.'

Both jumped as they simultaneously heard the voice in their head and they looked towards Bardock who was smirking at them.

"My name is Bardock."

"Burdock?" A tick mark appeared on Bardock's forehead. Every single time!

"Bardock! Not Burdock. And I would advise you to leave me be. I have a mission to complete."

"What race are you working for?" Batman tried to get his race out. Once he had the name, he could run it through the database and hopefully he would have everything he needed.

"My race is none that you've heard of. Anyway, I don't work for them. I'm a member of the Time Patrol."

"Who are they?"

"I'm afraid that is confidential. For you mortals, the mere knowledge of it's existence is sufficient."

"Mortals?" questioned Captain Atom. Batman had told him that this boy utilised some sort of energy manipulation to fight. Should it come to that, Atom was tasked with draining Bardock's energy and weaken him to a point where the others could apprehend him.

"You heard me. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way."

As Bardock turned to leave, a sudden green glowing bubble encompassed him. Turning back he saw Lantern (Hal) with his ring hand out, a beam of energy connecting the bubble to the ring. He sighed in exasperation. Could they not just let him do his job?

"What does the Anti-life equation have to do with your mission?" asked Batman. They had tried to intercept the strange ship and stop it from escaping with the equation but then it just disappeared in a puff of smoke. No doubt Bardock had it.

"I already told you, that is confidential. Now if you would please let me go. I have places to be."

"Sorry Bardock but we cannot let you do that. We don't know if you mean well or not for us or our planet. If you do not come willingly, we'll have to take you by force Questions need to be answered." Superman apologised.

Bardock had kept a neutral face up until now. Upon hearing the Kryptonian's words, he narrowed his eyes and lifted a hand. He flicked the barrier with his middle finger and the cage shattered into pieces. Everyone took a jump back while baffled. Even Superman needed to give one of Lantern's barriers a few good punches to break it, and Bardock had completely obliterated it with a mere flick! Bardock raised an eyebrow at them in a questioning way.

"I would advise you to think carefully about this Justice League. You all witnessed what I did to the Apokaliptian filth in mere seconds. Are you willing to make an enemy of me? Is that really a risk you want to take?"

The League narrowed their eyes. It was true what he was saying. But his secrecy with his motives worried them. Especially considering he now had the Anti-life Equation. He could perform all manners of atrocities with it. Although he was undeniably more powerful than any of them, they at least had an advantage in number. Plus their heaviest hitters were among them, all fully recovered and energised thanks to whatever magic he used six hours prior. And with Captain Atom there to drain the energy he wielded, they should have a very good chance in this battle. Motives good or not, they had to be sure. And if he didn't come peacefully then they would have to use force.

"Yes. I'm sorry Bardock." Superman shot off towards him and aimed a right jab towards Bardock's heart. Having seen this clearly, Bardock leapt to his right, and as the fist went past him, he hooked Superman's arm with his left. As Kal-El struggled in the grip, Bardock pulled back his right fist and looked him in the eye.

"This isn't personal. I'm just doing my job."

With those words Bardock punched Clark right in the middle of his chest. He did so with so much force that the sound of the impact resonated throughout the landscape. At the same time, the Justice League watched as a transparent shockwave burst out of Clark's back. And as his back was to them, they felt the wind of the shockwave blow in their faces. The girls had to keep their skirts down while they winced at the attack Superman just took. Clark himself had never experienced so much pain in his life. Spitting out his whole life worth's of saliva, he fell to the ground clutching his chest as his organs shrieked with pain. So this was Darkseid was up against. No wonder he had lost so quickly.

"Remember, I gave you a chance to walk away." The League looked to see Bardock with an apologetic look on his face. "You called the fight and now you must deliver."

Bardock himself grabbed Clarks cape and swung the wheezing alien back at his companions. He then sunk into a battle stance as a white glow emanated from his body before his base aura sprung to life. Something was different this time though. His eyes up until now were a pupil-less black where as now they were a wild orange with pupils. There was something terrifying about them.

The air once again became heavy, and the Earth started trembling, as if in fear of what was to come next. Diana unsheathed her sword, Flash set his legs apart ready to run, Marvel and Atom's hands began crackling with energy and the two female Kryptonians clenched their fists, although Supergirl felt really reluctant to enter this fight. Batman and Martian Manhunter took their arms out of their capes and sunk into stances of their own. The two lanterns stuck out their rings to and began charging energy blasts.

"Show me what you've got ."
