For those saying AU, that is the point of a crossover. These things don't actually happen at all. That is what FANFICTION is.
Hal and John let loose a torrent of energy blasts from their rings. The little green bullets of energy bounced of Bardock's aura like rubber bullets. Bardock flicked his wrists and out of it came two small energy balls that hit the Lanterns, resulting in small explosions the left the two disorientated. Both Supergirl and Powergirl flew in with their fists out, hoping to land a synchronised punch on him. He crossed his arms in front of his face and caught their hands as they moved in. Pulling on their arms, he caused the two to bump heads with each other and both yelped in pain. He sent both of them flying with a roundhouse kick before he turned to his left.
Wonder Woman had drawn her sword, and just as she was about to hack him, he lifted up an energy coated finger and stop the attack nonchalantly. Diana's eyes bugged out at his casual defence before she noticed him trying to uppercut her in the stomach. Just in time she lifted her shield and managed to block the blow. The impact of his fist sent her skidding backwards in the ground, her feet digging deep into the ground. She lifted her eyes over the rim of her shield, her blood pumping with excitement. Her shield was still vibrating from the punch, and small tingles were running down her spines. This was a battle worth the prowess of an Amazon!
Bardock flew towards her but his eyes flicked to the side and his stopped his flight path before moving back. And just in time as bolt of lightning struck the place he had previously occupied. As he righted himself, he sensed Marvel closing in. He lifted his right forearm to meet the devastating punch. Putting enough strength into the block he managed to negate the force of the punch which resulted in no shockwave. Taking hold of the moment he dug his left fist into Marvel's side. The hero let out a squeal of pain as he felt his insides being twisted before a blow right to his chest sent him shooting away past Captain Atom.
Atom watched as his ally flew past him and grit his teeth as he charged energy blasts from into his fists before firing. Bardock did the same from his fist and the two beams of energy collided. There was struggle for a moment before Bardock's one overpowered Atom's and said hero had to swerve aside and the stream of energy scraped past his skin. Hal formed a huge hammer with his ring and brought it down upon Bardock. Bardock flew up in the air, and punched straight through the hammer, grabbed him by the hand and twisted his arm into a lock. As he was about to break it, he saw Powergirl rushing towards him through. Quickly devising a strategy, he flipped Hal in the air and kicked him in the chest. Karen paused her flight and held out her arms as she caught Hal. Before she had a second to think Bardock suddenly appeared above them and jack-hammered them both into the ground just the way he did Darkseid.
Then he heard a sizzling sound and looked up to see Supergirl fire her heat vision at him. With no time to form a shield he lifted his arms and the beam singed his skin. As the attack stopped, he hissed in pain. Supergirl floated near him, a triumphant look on her face.
"Well, look at that. I hurt you. Not so invincible after all are you?" she questioned with a raised eyebrow.
Bardock looked up at her. True it stung as hell as this was purely concentrated heat. But there was one thing she didn't know about his kind. Pain was like a drug to a Saiyan. The more they felt it, the more they wanted it. And they only grow more powerful in the process.
"You know, that technique of yours is very helpful. And I'll admit it hurts a lot. But can you hold against this?" He opened his mouth as a large energy ball formed between his jaws. Supergirl's eyes widened before she turned and flew back. Bardock fired his Ki breath at her. She looked behind her as it caught up to her. Before it could engulf her, she took a sharp nosedive and the blast rushed past above her. Kara watched as it hit a mountain and blew a hole right threw it. There was an explosion, and the whole sky behind the mountain was filled with a green light. Bardock shimmered into view right in front of her.
"Focus!" he snapped before he chopped her shoulder. Kara went down squealing as she grasped her right shoulder, desperately trying to hold back the pain.
"Kara!" Superman gasped. Ignoring the pain in his chest, he crouched down as the ground under him cracked with his might before he shot off towards Bardock and dug his fists into Bardock's back, sending the Saiyan tumbling through the air. Righting himself, Bardock turned to see two smoking patches on his back. He shivered pain coursed throughout his nerves.
"It would seem that you've been holding back your true strength Kryptonian. This might be interesting here after all." he looked to see Superman charging his heat vision.
"Oh come on." Bardock was about to form a shield when an idea struck his head. He'd never tried it before but it was worth a shot. Lifting his head his eyes began glowing a shinning blue. Right as Clark fired so did Bardock, two streams of very concentrated Ki making contact with the heat rays. There was a large explosion on contact. Bardock smiled. This technique was useful, although it could fry his eyeballs if he wasn't careful. Perhaps the durability of his other transformations could make up for it. His Wrath form, although about as strong as a normal Ssj God if not stronger, couldn't take the heat. Thankfully, he was a master of efficient energy manipulation; he could find some way to overcome the issue of wasted energy in that heat.
The smoke suddenly burst apart, and out of it came Superman with a fist outstretched. Bardock caught it with his left hand, before he intercepted another from Marvel with his right. Pulling the two in, he grabbed their hair and smashed their foreheads together before flinging them down. Sensing a large amount of energy accumulating, he swung around to see Atom about to fire another energy beam. Bardock quickly fired a Ki blast. Atom suddenly smiled and flung his arms outwards allowing the energy to hit him in the chest. As he began absorbing it, his eyes widened upon the feel of the power entering. This kind of energy was unlike anything he'd ever felt before, so potent, so refreshing. Looking up, he expected to see a look of alarm on Bardock's face but was met with a bored stare.
"Using your opponents power against them isn't all that common in war." Bardock flatly stated. "It's usually a sign that you don't have much confidence in your own."
Atom scowled at the perceived insult. But his scowl suddenly turned to panic as the beam of energy suddenly intensified and his muscles began swelling up.
"If you want my energy, you can have it!"
Streams of blue energy began leaking out of Atom's eyes, nose, ears and mouth while he screamed, desperately tying to close the circuit. But all in vain, as there was suddenly a massive explosion. Out of the smoke, something dropped to the ground. The league saw Atom's body in the crater, all shrivelled and boned like a malnourished person. All his muscles had completely vanished and he let out a soft groan.
"Well that's a disappointment." The league looked up to see Bardock hovering above them, his eyes returned to their normal black colour. "It's become obvious to me that I didn't need to use that power on you at all. It was an interesting experience nonetheless. Go become stronger, and when you're all ready come back and fight me, If I'm still around that is."
Suddenly a golden glowing lasso caught on to him and drew tight around his torso, his arms pinned to his side.
"What is your real mission here?!" demanded Wonder Woman. Batman smirked slightly. The lasso of truth would definitely force something out of Bardock. Bardock himself was confused. Was this shiny rope suppose to do something to him?
"What exactly is this thing?"
"Answer the question? What is your mission? Who are the Time Patrol?" shouted Diana.
"I've told you already, that is confidential. Now leave me be, or I will take drastic measures!"
Diana's jaw dropped. Bardock was showing no signs of pain and he was speaking just as fine as he was before. This shouldn't be happening!
"How are you resisting Lady Hestia's lasso? It compels you to speak the truth!" Bardock raised an eyebrow.
"You really expect some crazy lady's magical tooth floss to make me speak, girl?"
The Justice League froze upon hearing that, for two reasons. One was that Diana's lasso was made by a goddess and yet it had no effect on Bardock. The other was that Bardock had insulted both Diana and her gods. While none among her comrades really liked the deities of Olympus, it was an unspoken rule that no one was to say anything bad about them while Diana was around. Diana herself felt herself fill up with fury.
"How dare you?! Hestia is a goddess of Olympus boy, and if you know what is best for you, you had better start respecting those better than you!"
Bardock up until now had a calm look on his face. But upon hearing what Diana had just said, his expression suddenly turned serious. Perhaps these nuisances were useful after all.
"Your gods are false Diana. They are merely arrogant, pompous common thieves with incestuous blood." Diana's face contorted into that of uncontrolled fury. Bardock lifted a hand unfazed by her glare and clasped the rope as a purple light shone from within his hand. The lasso suddenly lost its golden light and turned grey, right before it collapsed into dust. Diana's face suddenly became terrified.
That power...no...it can't be.
"LET ME SHOW YOU REAL POWER!" Bardock lifted has hands above his head and formed a giant planet crusher before he flung it down. The Kryptonians fired their heat vision in an effort to stop the giant ball while the lanterns used their rings. But it was no use as the ball kept on coming closer.
"Keep pushing! Don't give up!" screamed Clark. The pressure from the ball of energy was so intense, it began terraforming the land around them. Flash gulped as he saw the mountains surrounding them crumble and the ground they were standing on began cracking.
"It's no use! Lanterns, throw up a shield!" ordered Batman and they did so. Everyone covered their ears as the attack engulfed them and the view of the outside world disappeared. The Lanterns were gritting their teeth as both their shields were beginning to crack. Thy closed their eyes expecting death. Then suddenly all was quiet. With the shield dropped, everyone began to survey the area. They were all the middle of a massive crater, with parts of the ground burning red hot, bubbling molten rock with dark clouds above them.
And Bardock was nowhere in sight.
Flash shakily climbed to his feet. "I am never doing that again!"
"Everyone safe?" questioned Batman. Quickly doing a head count, he found that everyone was accounted for. Atom was beginning to recover his body mass, but he still couldn't so much as lift his head. Clark was still clutching his chest while Marvel was rubbing his side. Supergirl was rolling her shoulder while wincing with Powergirl checking her over. The Lanterns were rubbing their foreheads, no doubt in pain from all the concentration they put into that shield. Bruce glanced over to Diana and was taken aback by what he saw. She was just sitting on her legs, her arms limp while her eyes had a faraway look in them. Her face still carried that fearful look.
"Diana, what's wrong?" Everyone else glanced towards her and were also taken by surprise. Diana herself looked at Bruce and with shaky breath uttered one word.
"Destroyer..."
