Hi, I'm back. You probably would have had two or three more chapters by now but I really needed to take that revision break. And it payed off! I got the highest grade in my class! Now that I have a two week holiday, I can finally rest and start on the Origin story. By the way, I forgot to mention that Bardock is physically thirty years old. He was born a few years after Goku was sent to Earth.

I also want to say that I accepted a requested OC from someone. This new character will appear later on. On with the story then...

The group of heroes watched as they drew closer to the ship in a green bubble. They were nervous all of them, even the man with nerves of steel and the man of steel. This new opponent was something far worse than they had perceived. Infiltrating his ship wasn't exactly a friendly gesture.

"Why are we doing this again?" Flash asked in a quivering voice.

"We can't face him head on. That is pretty obvious by now. But the Anti-Life equation is aboard this ship. We must retrieve it." Batman said in a 'no-nonsense' tone. Superman raised his eyebrow at his friend.

"This is not like you Batman. You of all people wouldn't do something as reckless as sneaking into an enemy spaceship."

"Retrieving the equation takes priority over reason. If he escapes with it, we could all be doomed."

"Not to mention my family could be in here! Besides, if we see him again I will drive my blade through his foul heart!" snarled Wonder Woman, dried tear streaks still present on her face.

They had feared the worst after seeing the damage done to Themyscira. But after taking boom tubes there, they found signs that it may not be so. There blood stains, broken weapons, destroyed houses and other rubble everywhere but no sign of corpses or bodies. They found their answer when Karen spotted drag trails leading to the beach where they vanished. The strange spaceship very conveniently was hovering in space over the exact same spot.

Hal and John observed said vessel more closely, while their rings tried to identify the make and model. But nothing came up. This was foreign engineering undoubtedly, never seen before in any part of their universe.

"It looks a bit like a bug." Marvel scrunched his nose. "Something between that and a flying saucer."

They came to a tinted window. It was quite a dark glass and quite small but they could see bright lights inside and a floor.

"Can you phase us through J'onn?"

"One at a time."

Once they did so, the found themselves standing in a long metal corridor that seemed to curve round a bend. Those who walked used small footsteps while the other quietly hovered. It was so quiet in there, they could hear each other breathe.

"A bit anti-climactic. I've seen ships with way better interior designs." commented Flash.

"Quiet!" whispered Batman. "Bardock could be anywhere. Do you see him Superman?"

Clark tried to use his x-ray vision to find said alien. But he scrunched his eyes in confusion.

"That's weird. There's some sort of black metal lining the inside of these walls. I can't see beyond it."

"Lead?"

"No. Doesn't seem like it. Actually, it looks a lot like the metal Bardock's sword was made of."

They came round the bend to an arched doorway. A sensor must've been located nearby, for the metal doors slid open revealing a circular room. It was not too bright in there but not too dim either. There seem to be pictures hanging around this room, all mostly of Bardock at what seemed to be different times of his life, wearing different outfits in each. Underneath each portrait seemed to be pedestals of some sort. They were tall metallic pillars, with large bulbs emitting soft green light. Above each pedestal seemed to levitate different objects.

Naturally this peaked the heroes' interest, so they started having a look around. They did so mostly out of interest, but Batman looked around to gather as much information as possible. He came across one pedestal above which floated a ring. This ring appeared to be made out of a whitish metal. There was a blood red ruby set in it, but when Batman looked a little closer, he saw some black, wispy mist inside the ruby. Supergirl came to see it herself, and gasped at the piece of jewellery.

"It's so pretty." she whispered as she stuck out a hand to touch it.

"NO, DON'T-" Batman didn't get to finished what he was saying before the ring was covered in a green dome of what seemed to be mystic energy. As Kara's hand made contact, large shocks of green electricity ran up her arm. She quickly retracted her arm with a yelp and clutched her right hand. She could see the ripples still moving on her skin.

"-touch it." finished Batman in an annoyed tone.

"Are you alright?" Clark rushed up to his cousin.

"I'm fine. Just a little shock, that's all."

"You should know better than to go around touching stuff without precaution." Batman said in the same tone as before.

Supergirl huffed. She just wanted to touch the ring was all. It looked like a woman's ring, so naturally she was interested. Perhaps if she asked Bardock nicely... No. What was she thinking? He was an enemy of the League now. There was no way she could ask anything of him. And her shoulder was STILL aching.

But for some reason, she couldn't help but think they were doing something wrong. Deep in her heart she knew that Bardock was not the monster everyone else seemed to see him as. She had fought plenty of maniacal beings before, and Bardock just didn't give off the same vibes. He was quite reluctant to fight them in the beginning, even though he was clearly leagues above them in fighting power (See what I did there?...I'm sorry). Villains with that kind of strength would gladly accept a chance to crush a weaker opponent.

"I'm not a kid. Besides, it didn't do anything harmful to me. I'm a Kryptonian remember?"

"Well you just acted like a kid. And what if you weren't Kryptonian? You could be a fried corpse right now!" Batman reprimanded her harshly. Superman narrowed his eyes at the way Batman was talking to his cousin.

"Come on Batman. Nothing too bad happened. She knows not to touch anything now right?"

"One mistake is all that is needed for it to be the end sometimes. How do we know she didn't trigger some alarm system right now?"

They all listened intently. Those with super hearing strained their ears as heard as they could. Powergirl raised an eyebrow.

"It seems a bit fishy. It was too easy to get in this ship. And there doesn't seem to be an alarm system either."

"Be on your guard." Wonder Woman said. She herself was studying what seemed to be a suit of armour. It was made out of a very dark metal. The chest plate was complete with shoulder pads on it. There were thigh guards and boots similar to the ones they saw Bardock wearing. However the soles were line with that very same metal. Whatever this metal was, Bardock seemed to be very fond of it. Another thing she noticed was that where a helmet was supposed to be, instead there was mask. Made from the same metal, but there were two vertical slits for the eyes. A red lightning pattern was painted on the sides. It was clearly made to intimidate people.

But what caught her attention was what was lying on the gauntlet. It was long sword, just slightly longer than her own. The blade was of a silver colour, gleaming with wicked sharpness. The hilt appeared to be a made out of something like gold and it had vine-like patterns on it. The handle was made out polished... blue wood? At the end of the handle was a pink diamond embedded in the strange wood. Three of the same diamond was embedded in the blade near the hilt in a vertical line by order of smallest to largest.

Simply, it was a gorgeous sword. Diana was half-tempted to reach out and hold it. But she shook her head. This sword belonged to a man that had probably killed her entire family! Her heart still stung at the loss. Although she couldn't help but wonder...Was Bardock really a Destroyer? If he was, what happened to Moscoe? Did Bardock come to finish something Moscoe had not done long ago? Why would he target the island anyway? So many questions yet so few answers! Even if she didn't have her lasso, she would force the truth out of him whatever the cost.

"Hey guys, come look at this. Mister Destroyer seems to have a family." Flash waved his friends over to the centre-most pedestal. However this object was not floating. And altogether, it seemed a bit out of place in that room. For it was a wooden picture frame on a stand. Sure enough there was picture in it. There were quite a few noticeable faces in it.

To the left of the picture was a tall man in an orange gi and funny palm-tree-like hair. He sported the goofiest grin they had ever seen which was so wide, his molars were visible. With one arm, he was holding up a peace sign. His other arm was wrapped around a short woman in a Chinese dress, her hair tied up in a bun. She had one arm across the chest of the goofy man. Her other hand was rested on the head of a young boy that looked exactly like the goofy man. She had rather beautiful features, and her eyes were stern yet kind. The league deduced that these three were one family.

Next to them was a another man in a orange gi just like the goofy one. His hair was spiked upwards just like Bardock. But he had one large lock hung down the middle of his face. In front of him was a young woman with short black hair that was held back by a pink head band. In her arms was a baby girl in a pink onesie and a pacifier in her mouth. The word 'PAN' was written on the onesie which they decided must have been the baby's name. These three must be one family as well, likely related to the one before.

Next to them was a short bald man with no nose and six strange spots on his forehead. There was a tall woman behind him with bob cut blonde hair just like Karen's. Her eyes were an icy blue and she carried a emotionless expression. This was mirrored by a man in jeans and a white sweater with green sleeves. He had the same icy eyes but he had black hair. In the blonde's arms was a little toddler that had the same blonde hair but had no nose. Another family it seemed.

Next to them was a very short old man wearing a turtle shell? Next to him was taller bald man in green martial arts clothes. He seemed quite intimidating, mostly due to the third eye in the middle of his forehead. Next to him was a man with scruffy hair and scars on his face. Above them there was what seemed to be a floating child with a powdered face and red spots on his cheeks. He was dressed a bit like the three eyed man. Next to the child was a floating blue cat. The League were not as surprised as you would expect them to be. They were no strangers to absurd things.

To the right of the picture things seemed to get a bit weirder. There was a short man whose hair stood straight on end. On his face was a deep scowl and he stood with his arms folded, not making eye contact with the camera. From his shoulders was swinging another baby girl with blue hair in a pink onesie. Next to her was a blue haired woman in a lab coat and green fluffy slippers who must have been the baby's mother. In front of her was a short boy with blue eyes and mushroom cut lavender hair. He had a look of mischievousness on his face. Yet again another family it seemed.

Behind them was a tall man with darker skin and a scar on his left cheek. He was wearing a skin tight grey spandex on his upper body and he was very muscular. He was lot more broader than Bardock and he had scruffy black hair that hung down his back. Tied around his waist was some sort of green fur and he appeared to be the tallest person. Next to him was a green skinned girl with white hair and purple eyes. She kind of reminded everyone of Beast Boy.

Next to them was a tall green skinned man with antennae. He wore a white turban and some sort of cape with shoulder pads. Under that he wore a purple gi.

"Hey, he kinda looks like you J'onn." Martian Manhunter raised a questioning eyebrow before returning to the picture.

In the centre of the picture was the object of everybody's attention. There stood Bardock with a happy sile on his face as he gazed at the camera. His arm was around a shorter, blue skinned girl. She had purple eyes, and long, white, spiky hair that fell down to her calves and one large lock hanging right down the front of her face. There was a blue halo behind her head. She was well endowed and wore a red dress that was split under her bosom revealing her stomach. The dress had gold trimmings on it. She wore blue leggings and white high-heeled boots. She was definitely the most beautiful female in the picture, and perhaps the most beautiful female any of them had ever seen. In her arms was a baby wrapped in a white cloth. The baby had silver spiky hair, a light skin tone and big purple eyes. These must be Bardock's lover and child if it was possible.

However, Diana gasped at who was standing next to the couple. And the League seemed to see why. There was a large humanoid purple cat. He had an Egyptian-like headrest and there were gold bands around his neck, ankles and biceps. He wore blue gi pants and pointy brown boots. He himself had a devious feral smirk on his face. Standing beside him was a tall blue humanoid dressed in strange red clothing and pointed shoes with black tips. His hair was even stranger. White and standing on end curling at the top while the sides of his head was cut very short. In his hand was a funny looking sceptre. The obvious Angel had a blue halo around his neck. These two were definitely a Destroyer and his Angel.

Before anyone could comment, they all suddenly heard a hissing sound as they looked up to see a door open. In front of it was Batman motioning to them to follow him. They did so and found themselves in what was most definitely the control room of the entire place. They seemed to had entered it through a side door, as the could see a large set of sliding doors on one end. In the middle of the room were two control panels opposite each other. Both were shaped into a semi circle and lay opposite each other and they had holographic screens behind them. On the ceiling, there were screens circling the whole room with different maps, coordinates, an entire map of the ship itself and just about anything you'd see in a spaceship control room. Stationed next to the walls were large reclining couches, and everyone could see what appeared to be some beverage or coffee machines and vending machines near them.

The most notable feature was what lay at the end of the room opposite the large doors. It was a stairway that led to a large circular table. On either side of the stairway were doors that led to some other part of the ship. Assuming the table to be the centre control panel, Batman walked up the stairway to have a look. But it was not what he expected to see. The top of the table seemed to be made from a green glass. But nothing more.

"The anti life equation must be in this room somewhere. Start having a look around and see if you can find anything." he ordered.

The others began moving to do so when Supergirl suddenly hushed them and holding up her hand, she signalled everyone to be silent. Everyone watched as she listened attentively. Superman finally caught on to what she was hearing.

"There's footsteps headed this way!" he hissed.

"Find somewhere to hide. J'onn, put up a mental link between all of us. We can't fight him just yet." Batman ordered. Everyone obeyed. Flash. Batman and Marvel went to hide behind the large couches. The others flew up to hide behind the screens on the ceiling. And not a moment too soon as Bardock immediately entered through the large doors.

Something was different about him this time. He was a lot taller than the last time they'd seen him, about eight foot in height right now. He was wearing black gi pants and martial arts shoes. He now wore arm guards and a towel was wrapped around his neck. His skin was damp and everyone could immediately smell a nice fragrance that seemed to ooze off of him. But what made them stare in awe was the scars. Large, nasty yet noble looking battle scars littered his body. Some looked to have been from wounds so deep, there was no way he should have been alive right now. Batman took note of them. It seemed that Bardock didn't have total invulnerability after all.

They watched as he headed towards the staircase.

That's all for now. This chapter was originally longer but I cut it in half to make some amendments. You'll get the next one soon.
