Chapter 4 Father's day

Vergil opened his eyes seeing his other twin brothers are asleep. He looked at the clock and smiled. He immediately went to Tatsumi side and shook him.

"Verge...what?"Tatsumi groaned

"It's time."Vergil told him making Tatsumi to stretch his arms. "Where's Dante?"

Vergil and Tatsumi looked at Dante's empty bed but they could hear his snore. Both of them looked under the bed seeing him asleep.

"Well that is a first to see him"said Tatsumi as he grab a camera and picture Dantes sleeping form making Vergil giggled.

"Oh this is gold"Vergil muttered

Dante groaned as he heard a snapping sound making Tatsumi and Vergil to hide the camera.They grab Dante's leg and slide him to them.

"Yo that hurts."Dante replied as his ass was sore but as he continue to rub his eyes. "Aw man...you two woke up than me"

"We couldn't find you but still your snore continue to reach us."Tatsumi snuck out his tongue.

"Your so unfair."Dante said with a smile.

"Come on...Mom and Dad are asleep. We still have a surprise to make."Vergil told them as they snuck out from their room and went to the kitchen.

"Bark!!!"

"Morning Ace."the three chorused as their puppy was wagging its tail at them.

Both of them gathered some ingredients. Dante grab some flour,while Vergil grab some eggs and Tatsumi grab a cookbook.

"Hey what are we going to make?"Dante asked

"Hmmm maybe a cake would do. We need to surprised them as well."said Tatsumi as he opened his bag and gave some money to Vergil.

"What are these? These are a lot of money."said Vergil

"After we finished the cake. We have to go to town to buy some ice cream and some pizza Incase Dante would be missing some Pizza."said Tatsumi

"Oh cool idea. We still have to buy gifts as well."Vergil added

"Hey we have to finished this cake."Dante added as they began to bake a cake.

After they make a cake and make a frosting. The three went to town and went to buy some gifts for their father. They bought some ice cream,pizza and gift wrapped presents till they went back to their home. They saw their mother with a cheerful smile.

"Mother"the three greeted Eva

"Oh my boys...good morning."Eva kissed her children.

"Mom we went to town to buy presents for Dad."said Dante

"I know Sweetie...besides we planned this."said Eva

"Is Dad awake?"Vergil was alarmed in case Sparda was awake.

"Your father is still asleep and I see you three have gathered what we needed to surprised him."Eva told them

""Whew that was close"said Tatsumi

"Now we are going to surprised him."Eva told them as they gathered their stuff and went to the door.

Sparda woke up. He felt lighted all of the sudden. Stretching his arms as he felt the empty space beside him. Eva was nowhere in sight. He smiled as he remember that he had to wake the boys from their beds but first he had to go to the study to grab some things he needed to discuss. After taking a bath and grab some clothes from the closet,he went to his study only to be surprised by his family.

"Surprised. Happy father's day"Vergil Dante and Tatsumi yelled.

"Happy father's day my love"Eva greeted him.

Sparda realized that today was Father's day. He forgot to checked the calendar but he smiled seeing his family already organized everything even they are on his study. Ace was barking happily greeting his master all the way. He looked at the food that was organized. Cakes,Pizza and some sweets and Ice cream.

"We baked the cake and went to buy some gifts"said Dante

"I could see that"said Sparda as he embraced his family.

Sparda was happy that his family greeted him as Father's day. He was happy for having a beautiful loving family. A lovely wife. Three triplets who were trouble and a loyal dog who followed his master's orders.

After spending the entire Father's day. Sparda watched Dante and Vergil went to their room. He wondered where his youngest son was. He figured that Tatsumi went to his study room. Sparda opened the door and saw Tatsumi looking at the picture of their family. Sparda chuckle due to Tatsumi pouted,he can't blame him because the three did their hard work.

"Tatsumi...what's wrong?"Sparda asked as he went to his son.

"Hi Dad...um...nothing.Its just something in my mind."said Tatsumi

"Well if you had problems you can talk to me."said Sparda as he begin to position on his desk.

"Maybe."said Tatsumi

Sparda chuckle. Among the three Vergil was the father figure to the three but Tatsumi was curious all of the sudden.

"Tatsumi...Your mother and your brothers are my precious treasure that I ever had. Even I went to missions I never stopped thinking about both of you. One day of a time it may not be easy but there will also hardship to be there."said Sparda

"Dad...what happens if something happens to us?"Tatsumi asked

"Then I won't forgive myself if something happens to you both. I want both of you to be strong and rely on each other."said Sparda.

Tatsumi immediately went to his father's warm embraced and remained there. Sparda continue to hymn a lullaby but to his surprised Tatsumi was already asleep. Sparda carried his son's to their rooms and put him to bed with the others. He smiled as he kissed their foreheads.

"I love you both my son's."said Sparda as he exit his room only to see Eva smirked.

"I seen to remember that when they were three you went to guard them."Eva teased him making him laugh.

"I may be but there are times that I would give them the rightfully time. Why are you still up?"Sparda asked

"Well...I was at the kitchen with Ace and I was wondering one thing."Eva said with a smile making Sparda tilted his head.

God he really loved this woman.

"I guess another portrait will be good. And Ace will be on the portrait."said Sparda.

12 years later.

A lone cloaked figure walked past towards the crowds and saw the sign of the building. Devil May Cry shop. The cloaked figure sighed as ,he reach to the doorknob but he stopped as he saw two identical twins coming back. The cloaked figure immediately hide behind the alley and heard their talk.

"It's father's day all over again."said Dante as he carried something.

"I know what you mean Dante. We have to greet father."said Vergil as he began to looked gloomy,so was Dante.

"I miss Tatsumi. If he was alive...he would probably remind us or you two would slid me down from my bed."said Dante

"Father missed him as well Dante...I miss our brother too. "said Vergil

"Verge...I miss our brother so much."Dante began to cry but Vergil wiped his tears

"I miss him too Dante."said Vergil.

As both brothers enter the shop. The cloak figure emerge from the alleys and removed his hood revealing to be their long lost brother Tatsumi. As the door closed Tatsumi stepped out and sighed sadly

"Happy father's day Father."Tatsumi said as he raised his hood back and left the street into a flash.
