Author-itis : Hiii I'm cold but here's an update! I couldn't write as much as I wanted to but I hope to make these longer in the future. Also, I hope you all are well and safe for the holidays

"... Hello to you too, Bulma... Now, is my husband here." a frustrated Chichi asked.

Bulma blinked "Uh... Yeah."

Chichi grumbled "May I come in?..."

Bulma narrowed her eyes "... Fine."

Bulma opened the door for her as Chichi made her way in.

Goku walked over to the girls "H-Hey, Chichi."

Chichi growled and grabbed his shirt "Don't you 'Hey Chichi' Me! You left me for two whole days!"

"I-I was just trying to get some training in, and Bulma said we could stay for a while so I thought we'd let you cool off while we were gone." Goku admitted

Chichi gripped his shirt tighter "Do you know how worried I've been about our baby boy?!"

Bulma fidgeted 'Its like she's ignoring everything he said!'

Goku waved his hands "He's fine, Chichi. I promise"

Chichi continued getting in his face and yelling "Like I believe that! Do you have any idea the journey I've been on looking for you two?! Yesterday I went all the way to Master Roshi's to look for you but you weren't there! It took me forever to get there and back! Who do you think has to pay for all that gas money huh?!"

"Okay! That's enough!" Bulma grabbed Chichi's hands and pushed her away from Goku. Chichi was stunned. "Stop yelling at the poor guy! He's done nothing but try and be nice to you and you still act like this!"

Chichi nearly burst with rage "The hell are you doing interfering in my marraige?!"

"I'm stopping you from yelling at a man who's as innocent as a child." Bulma replied coldly

Chichi got face to face with Bulma "This man has done nothing but train to fight for his entire life. So much so that he ignores his family! How could you defend that?!"

"I'd at least hear him out! He has his reasons Chichi! You need to listen to him!" Bulma yelled back, growing tired of Chichi's yelling.

Chichi started grinding her teeth "Don't try and act like you know anything about my relationship with him!"

"Well at least I know how Goku feels about all this! You don't even bother trying to understand him!" Bulma retorted

Chichi took a deep breath "... Try working on your own relationship before you mess with mine."

Bulma gasped lightly, as if she'd been shot by a bullet

Chichi sighed "I feel sorry for whoever falls for you..."

Bulma's lip quivered and she was about to cry. "Take that back" Bulma and Chichi looked at Goku "Take it back, Chichi."

Chichi put her hands to her head "Let's just go, Goku. I'm getting a headache"

"I said take it back!" Goku yelled, catching everyone off guard.

Chichi grew angrier "Why should I?!"

Goku had enough "Don't disrespect, Bulma. She gave me and Gohan a place to sleep, food to eat and-"

"Anyone can do that, Goku!" Chichi interrupted until Goku covered her mouth with his hand

"...and she's been very kind to us..." Goku finished.

Chichi just looked him dead in the eye like she'd been caught red-handed

"Bulma actually makes me feel like not everything I do is horrible. She doesn't get mad at me when I'm trying to save the planet and she actually listens to me when I have something important to say. I'm sorry but... Chichi, this is my life. I'm a warrior willing to protect those who can't defend themselves and Gohan is the exact same way."

*SMACK*

Chichi had slapped Goku across the face. While it didn't do much to him, it certainly hurt him inside.

"Don't you ever... EVER!... Lump my son in with you" Chichi said through her teeth.

"He's my son too, Chichi..." Goku stated calmly. "I'll be over at the house in an hour to pick up my stuff." He turned to Bulma "Mind if I stay here longer?"

Bulma was about to say yes sarcasticly but could see it in his eyes, he needed a straight answer. "Of course, Goku" she said softly. Hell, SHE was on the verge of tears. Seeing Goku like this so often was scary!

Goku nodded "Thank you..." He turned to Chichi "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings... But you've been hurting mine for a long time..." He then walked out of the building and flew off.

Chichi just watched him the entire time. "Get out." Bulma said, catching her attention.

"I've had about all I can take of you right now. Go home." Bulma said coldly, trying her hardest to still be respectful to her.

Chichi grumbled but decided to leave and take the hover car back home.

Bulma sighed "... Wonder where Goku went? I know if he left now he'd be there before an hour."

Gohan was walking around west city, taking in the sights and admiring the culture. Usually his clothes would make him stick out but Bulma's replacement clothes helped him fit in. He wore a blue tank top and black athletic shorts, fitting given his weirdly strong build.

He wound up going to a playground and at first he didn't really get it. It looked like a fancy version of the wildlife he used to play on before his training with Piccolo. Didn't mean he couldn't try it out though.

He ran over and saw all the kids playing on various playground equipment and decided to just jump right in on the slide.

He played for so long he lost track of time and before he knew it. He sensed his dad's energy nearby.

He looked near the exit of the playground and saw Goku with a less than cheerful look. He instantly stopped playing and went over to his dad. "Dad? Everything okay?"

Goku tried to smile for him "We need to go home" Gohan looked confused "I'll explain along the way."

Gohan nodded and followed his father to an area with no people before flying off to Mt Paozu.

Bulma was currently watching her father work on the gravity pod from the backyard and noticed two trails of energy blaze across the sky.

She was overwhelmed with emotions so much that she looked to anything for a distraction. "Hey, dad! Let me help you!" She yelled as she ran towards the pod.

While flying, Goku explained the situation to his son and Gohan sighed after hearing it all. All he wanted was for his nightmare to end. He wanted his parents to get along and show each other love... Yet that seemed nearly impossible.

Gohan then looked to his dad "So ... what's the plan dad?"

Goku looked doubtful in his decision but replied "... I think I'm gonna stay with Bulma for a while..." Gohan gasped lightly "I just... I feel so much better when I'm around her... " Goku looked at his son "You don't have to stay with me. But I do hope you continue training."

Gohan shook his head no "I'm... I'm gonna stay with you, dad."

Goku was a bit surprised that he was willing to split from Chichi so easily. "Are you sure? We won't be back home for a while.

Gohan then sighed 'Do I really wanna do this?...' he looked to his dad and could tell that he was struggling with what he wanted to do but he knew that saving the earth came first. "Yes... Mom's gonna be an obstacle when we train"

Goku chuckled lightly "Especially with your studies."

They shared a light laugh to break the awkward tension.

Once they arrived they took notice of the fact that Chichi wasn't there and went inside.

Goku went to his room and grabbed a bunch of his Gi's, his medicine from future trunks and other things, then stuffed them into a plastic bag. Gohan did the same and grabbed a few books so he could occasionally focus on his studies at his own leisure. Once they got all the things they needed together, they walked to the door and looked back at the house.

Gohan looked at his dad and surprisingly, Goku was smiling. Gohan wondered why, why after all this crazy stuff happens would he smile at this... Then he thought about it from his dad's perspective. For him it's just another adventure. For Gohan, it's was scary...

Gohan then felt his dad's hand on his shoulder "Gohan..."

Gohan looked up to his dad curiously

Goku smiled wider "Your focus on protecting the earth is incredible. I know this is a lot for you and I don't expect you to be okay with all of it, but I want you to know that I am incredibly proud of the man you're growing up to be."

Gohan's mental dam burst and tears formed at his eyes as he jumped up to and hugged his father. Goku smiled at his son, hugging him back to try and comfort him through this hard, confusing time.

Not too long after, the duo closed the front door and ascended into the sky. Gohan took one last look at the house before looking at his father who gave him a thumbs up. As long as Gohan had his dad, he'd be okay.

They then flew off in the direction of Capsule Corporation ready to start embracing a new daily routine.

Bulma was hard at work, looking over the blueprints of the gravity pod as her Dad kept trying to figure out what could possibly have been wrong.

"Maybe go take a break, Bulma. This issue is far from being resolved" Dr Briefs said.

Bulma sighed "You sure?... I was kinda hoping this could help distract me from what happened earlier"

Dr Briefs "You mean when Chichi came? I always forget how loud she is. I could hear her out here!"

Bulma chuckled at that "Yeah... Sorry about that. I was yelling too. Chichi... Started yelling at Goku for almost no reason, I got mad."

Dr Briefs hummed to himself "That's fine sweetie. We've handled worse" he smiled at the end of that statement.

Bulma smiled and walked into the house looking for something, anything to do. She didn't feel like working on any of her personal projects or inventions because her muscles still hurt a bit.

Bulma tapped her chin and walked into the kitchen to find Vegeta sitting at a table devouring food. All while Mrs Briefs patiently waited for him to finish so she could clean the dishes.

"Oh! Hi, Bulma!" Mrs Briefs greeted

Vegeta turned to look at her then scoffed and returned to his meal. Bulma sighed, deciding not to deal with Prince Pouty and went to make herself a sandwich "Hey, Mom. What's up?"

Mrs Bulma chuckled "Not much. You seem kinda bored, that's a shock."

Bulma grabbed her sandwich ingredients and placed them on the counter only to wince "Yeah. Guess I didn't think about it but my body's still going over some of the muscle growing pains from yesterday's workout."

"Tch, weak woman" Vegeta said under his breath, Bulma however, heard it loud and clear.

Bulma turned to look at him, making him do the same. They stared at each other in a minor hate mode before Bulma let out a sigh "Honestly Vegeta, You're not worth my time right now."

Bulma turned back to her sandwich as Vegeta's anger grew 'Not worth her time?! I'm the prince of all saiyans damnit! Show me some respect!' he thought to himself as he continued eating.

Once Bulma finished her first sandwich, she started thinking to herself 'You know... After all the crap that's happened with Goku and Gohan today. I think they'd be happy to come home to a sandwich or two'. And so she continued making two more sandwiches and took them to the living area where she didn't hear the front door open.

After setting them down, she finally sat herself down and immediately felt the minor, nagging pain in her legs "Ugh... At least I can watch my show now"

"Hey, don't continue without me!" Bulma looked behind the couch towards the door and say Goku and Gohan with bags of stuff smiling at her.

Bulma smiled at the sight of them "Hey guys. Are you okay?"

Both Saiyans nodded and Gohan replied "Mind if we watch the show with you?"

Bulma chuckled "Sure, why not. But organize your guys stuff first"

Father and son smiled to each other then went upstairs. After a hot minute they both came back and sat next to Bulma.

Bulma just smiled at them "By the way, I made you guys sandwiches... I know there's not much but-"

"Oh! Thanks!" Goku chuckled and grabbed one while Gohan grabbed the other.

Gohan then smiled at Bulma "Thank you, Bulma!"

Bulma smiled back at him and ruffled his hair "You're welcome, little guy"

Gohan chuckled as he turned his attention to the tv and ate.

Bulma then felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see a smiling Goku who spoke gently "Thank you so much, Bulma. I owe ya"

She blushed at his words, finding it hard to give him some of her own. "N-No problem, Goku"

Goku then grabbed the plate with only one sandwich left on it "Here. I'm sure you're hungry!"

Bulma's heart filled with warmth, seeing Goku happy again was the best thing she could hope for. After taking the sandwich, the three started watching the show. It wasn't super exciting, but Gohan pined for anything normal right now and Goku and Bulma wanted to be close to one another. Even if they didn't want to admit it to themselves.

After an hour or so, they didn't realize it but they had all snuggled up. Gohan leaned on Bulma and Bulma leaned her head onto Goku's shoulder. Goku took a moment to notice the domino effect of the people on the couch. It brought a big smile to his face, seeing Gohan and Bulma get along so well. Though he still was saddened about what happened with Chichi, he did his best to forget that happened.

After all, not since the days before Raditz arrival did he feel so close to family like he does now. But you know what... He took his arm and gently moved it to reach Bulma's other shoulder and gently hold it, deciding that no matter what, he'd remember to cherish what he has.

They laid like that all night. It was a wonderful sight... Especially to Bulma's parents who sneakingly took pictures.

Author-Thinking about clever names is hard : Soooo uh hey! It's been a while. Not gonna lie, this was really hard to make. Not for a technical reason but for... emotional reasons. The holidays are rough on me, I don't wanna go into why but I will say. Don't expect many updates until the holiday season has ended.

Anyway, may your holidays be filled with more than enough sweets that you end up coming down with a stomach problem and being able to tell your friend about it the next day and him or her going "...Duuuuuuude~"
