Sanji sat by himself in the cafeteria as he look down at his phone. He was nervous but he wanted to. He wanted to talk to Zoro but he didn't know if he should. He knew he's being ridiculous. There is no reason he can't but he doesn't want to spook Zoro away. He doesn't want it to end as fast as it started. Not that it started fast but he didn't want it to end. He really loved Zoro. That made his face turn red. He had told Zoro he loved him more than once.

He looked at his phone as he ate the chicken cutlet bowl. If he's said 'I love you' more than once and Zoro didn't seem to mind then there shouldn't be a big deal if he texts him. He'll text him eventually so why not start now? Hey, just checking in. Are you ok? Have you eaten lunch yet? Sanji text. He reads it over and over again making sure there's no mistakes and that there's nothing else he needs to add. That should be good. It's casual but intimate. He hopes it is.

He set his phone down and continues to eat. His leg thumping as a nervous tick. It was only one second and he's already nervous and eagerly waiting for Zoro's reply.

What if he ignores it?

What if something bad happened and he doesn't see it?

What if a meteor hit is house while he was replying?

Ok, now he's really exaggerating but he is worried about not getting a reply. He hears his phone chime and has never moved his hand as fast as he did right then, not even while he cooks. He looks really happy. He 'tsks' when he sees who it is and frowns. It was Zeff telling him that he'll need to work after school. Disappointed he text 'ok' back. He really thought it was Zoro. That made his mood sour. He's just thinking about it too much. His phone chimes again. He looks at it and his eyes widen. It's Zoro!

I'm fine. My ass is still sore but it's gotten better thanks to Law. I'm about to start eating lunch. Thanks for making it. Sanji smiles. He's doesn't remember ever talking to him like this so this is new. Plus he's happy Zoro answered.

It was my pleasure. I wasn't sure you would be able to cook with your ass hurting. What did Law say? Are you ok? Sanji asks worried.

He just did some tests and is going to sent some medicine to make sure I don't catch anything.

Ok. Make sure to keep me up dated. Also I didn't know you were an otaku. He send with a shit eating grin, already able to imagine the face Zoro is going to make when he sees it. And he's right. When Zoro read it his face to red and he looked embarrassed, not that anyone would see it.

Where did you learn that word? Zoro asks.

The internet. When did you get into manga? Zoro looked at the text. What should he tell him? He's not going to lie but should he just divert the conversation. But Sanji will remember and ask again, or until he tells him. With this he wouldn't see his face, how embarrassed he is.

I got into it years ago. I was bored with book and comics. Tired of the book Robin would give me or the comics Usopp gave me so while wandering the store I saw some manga. I asked and they gave me some to read. It was different and interesting. Next thing I knew I was hooked. Reading the lasted updates of Gintama and looking for new ones to read or anime to watch. Zoro was glad he didn't tell him this face to face. Sanji looked at the paragraph of the text. He wished Zoro had told him this face to face. This would be the longest Zoro had ever talked to him. Well besides last night.

Gintama? And anime? Sanji wonders.

Looks like you didn't do as much research as I thought you did. Gintama the name of the manga. It's weird but funny, it has a good story and good characters but there's a lot. I love it though. Anime is just manga animated. There isn't one style to it but it's easy to tell when something is an anime. And not every anime has a manga, the same could be said backwards. Sanji looks at the new paragraph that Zoro texted him. He's never gotten Zoro to talk to him as much as he has now. It's kind of amazing.

Is it that good? I'll have to check it out. Is there a character you like? Sanji asks. This is going to be new but he's kind of excited about it.

It's really good. If you want to check it out I have almost all the manga volumes for you to read or if you want to watch it I have the anime in blue-ray. But I would recommend reading it so you don't have to deal with fillers. All the characters are good but I do really like a couple. The main character is my favorite, just like everyone else. He's a samurai but they live in a time where samurais are no longer needed so now he and his two friends do odd jobs to make rent. Zoro then went on and on about this character. Sanji smiled.

It kind of sounds like you have a crush on him. Sanji sends as a tease. He waits for a second but there is no answer. He's not serious!, Sanji thinks to himself. Really, you have a crush on a animated character, a fictional character? He takes a bite of his food that's almost done. His phone chimes on the table next to his tray. He reaches for it and reads the text almost choking on his food.

K-k-kind of. Sanji reaches for his drink. He almost died on his food. He stares at those two words. Kind of? How do you kind of have a crush on a fake character. Thinking about it's like having a crush on a celebrity so it's not that weird but this character is a cartoon.

Is he better than me?

I don't think I should answer that.

Hey! What's good about him?

Were you not listening to me before? He seems really strong. Can you imagine sparring against him? And the way he's drawn isn't so bad. He kind of acts like someone we know but I really like his strength. Sanji sighs. Of course that's what the muscle head looks for when having a crush. Strength. But maybe that's why he started to like Sanji, for his strength. Sanji looks at the time and sees lunch is about to end. He sure took his time to eat. Well he was eating alone so he didn't have to worry about Luffy taking his food and could eat at his leisure.

It's almost the end of lunch so talk you later. You should eat. Bye. Sanji reluctantly sends. He didn't want to say bye but he's at school and didn't want to break the rules of the school. Well not all of them. He puts his phone in his blazer pocket and finishes up his food. As he's getting ready to put his things away the screens on the cafeteria turned on. Sanji didn't like this.
