Zeff is old not blind. He saw the way his son acted. Seemed more happy recently. After a certain day. He had come home in a rush after his night away and gone to school before he could ask anything but when he got home he went straight to work, only to take a break and start texting someone who made him smile and laugh in less than a minute. Seconds after making him smile.

It would seem the boy has gotten himself a new lover. Everyone was shocked because his past girlfriends never got him to act like that. He always looked like he had to text her, they didn't know about what, never seeing the text but he wasn't happy. They all knew it. They could all see it. It started to worry them a bit. How could his life go if he keeps it up like that?

Already this person is different and more special.

They can't wait to meet her.

Zeff caught Sanji giggling like a girl on more than one occasion. He had sneaked glances but never seen anything. Just normal texts. He's just talking with her but he seems to really like it.

"Sanji has been... different." Patty says.

"Someone got a girlfriend." Carne teases

"He did?" Patty asks looking at Zeff.

"I don't know." Zeff gruffs.

"He has a girlfriend." Carne teases, but confident in his tease, more than sure it's true.

"Maybe. This is different, don't say a word." Zeff warns them. He knows Sanji. He doesn't talk to girls not in the normal sense. He praises them but he doesn't talk to them, he doesn't talk to them like neighbors or friends do, he talks to them like all females are celebrities, like they're gods. He's seen Sanji text his girlfriend, he's never reacted to a text like this. Just looking to see who text him would have Sanji smile like a mad man. Almost every time he got a chance he would be on his phone. It seems like he was really in love with her. She is obviously special, she's not like the others. She is special and Zeff can't wait to meet her.

It doesn't look like it would be anytime soon though. It doesn't seems like he's trying to keep this a secret. If it is a secret then he's not hiding it well but he does seem to not want to tell them. Sanji just wants to be with her if he's to guess. But he hasn't been with her, he's been working at the restaurant after school everyday. He'll wait until Sanji feels comfortable enough to bring her here. It would be new. Sanji has never brought his past girlfriends here, he only knew about break ups because of his upset mood after. Even after that Sanji didn't tell them anything just that he had somehow messed up.

Sanji ran out the restaurant as fast as he could. He had finished his work for the day so he ran as fast as he could. Sent a quick message to Zoro that he's on his way. The cook couldn't be any more excited. After a whole week of only being able to text him messages he's finally gotten time to see him again. They talked in the morning and every free time they had. He's been waiting for some free time to go over to Zoros'. It wasn't all bad working after school but he wished he could be with Zoro more.

Sanji ran without taking a break (besides stopping to look both sides of the street before crossing and pausing to wait for a red light to turn green) by the time he made it to Zoro's house he was breathing heavily. He stood in front of the door studying it, feeling like it's been months since he last seen it. Sanji reaches into his pocket, digging out a key.

When Bonney came with her brother to arrest some student she took him to the side to talk to him. She had given him a spare key to the house. He hasn't been able to use it till now. He slipped the key in the lock and turned it, hearing the click sound of the lock unlocking. He opens the door, locks it behind him, puts the key back in his pocket, takes his shoes off then walks in. The chef wanted to shout his presence but he was curious on where and what Zoro is doing. Sanji walked silently until he hears a sniffle coming from the living room.

He didn't know what he would find but he didn't think he would see Zoro laying on his back on the couch, tissues on the coffee table and one of his legs resting on the knee of the other. He was very relaxed as he read his manga. Sanji sneaked closer and peaked to see Zoro really invested in reading. The story must have been sad because he saw the marimos' eyebrows furrows up and tears in his eyes. Sanji smiled as he saw Zoro turn the page and he gasped. Now this was interesting. "Is it that interesting?" Sanji asked. He laughed out loud as he saw Zoro jump in his skin, eyes widen and Zoro staring at him.

He didn't think he would see Sanji. "Cook? How did you get in?" Zoro asks sitting up. He doesn't remember unlocking the door. "I thought you were working?" Zoro asks.

"Didn't you get my text. I told you I was on my way." Zoro just shook his head.

"I left my phone upstairs in my room." He explains as he grabs a tissue and wipes his eyes. "How did you get in? I swear I locked the door." Zoro looks at Sanji.

"Bonney gave me key, so I can watch you more easily." Sanji chuckles at Zoro upset face. "I know you don't want to be watched over like a child but she just wants to make sure you are safe. Plus I can come in when I want to be with you." Sanji smiles at Zoro's blush, red a little himself too. Sanji sits on the couch. "So what are you reading that made you cry?" Sanji never thought Zoro's eyes would shine the way they did when he talked about sword fighting when talking about this. Zoro scoots closer.

"I'm reading a manga called Fruits Basket. It's sad but the story is really good. And the characters are funny." Zoro went into depth about what it's about. The cook didn't think he would see Zoro read or watch anything with romance. He enjoyed watching and listening to Zoro talk for hours about this one story. He like seeing new sides to Zoro.
