Sanji smiled on his way to school. The weekend was the best he's ever had. He and Zoro watched movies and hung out. It was nothing special, they just sat on the couch and watched movies. Zoro even showed the blond anime, more importantly Gintama. The series that Zoro had talked about to be his favorite.

After a few episodes Sanji started to understand the appeal. It's nothing like what you normally see on t.v. The characters were a little familiar but they weren't bad. There were some characters he found annoying but everyone has that one character they don't really like. He enjoyed it so much that he stayed the night and they watched almost two days worth of episodes.

That wasn't the only thing. He watched the man cook up close and got curious, really curious, about where Zoro learned to cook? He watched as Zoro cut, minced and prepared the food. The way he did everything was just like a certain man he knows well. Someone who guided him in the kitchen. The one who raised him.

The way Zoro cooked is like Zeff. So he asked, "Zoro where did you learn to cook?" Sanji looks at the precision which the green haired man's hands worked. Zoro hesitated as he slowed down.

"A chef did."

"Was it Zeff?"

"Yeah," he answers softly.

"How?"

"I don't think you want to know."

"Why not?"

"You always get upset when I tell you a story during our first year."

"I still want to know." Sanji declares. Zoro thinks about it. Sanji has really wanted to know more about him, asking questions, talking about things they like and other things. Really trying to get to know each other.

"I'll tell you but if you don't want to hear more then tell me, I'll stop." Zoro says. Sanji nods, he goes back to cooking. "I guess I should start from why I needed to learn. My father hired a housekeeper to make breakfast and dinner for me but she quit before her first day. My dad had been gone before I started high school so I wasn't eating well. Then... everything happened. After what happened with Brandon I couldn't walk and was a little disoriented, it took a really long time for me to get back home. I had wondered to the Baratie. Zeff took care of me a little. Gave me an actual meal and he interrogated me. I told him I didn't know how to cook and everything that I did cook came out really wrong. So he decided to teach me."

"How? When? Weren't you doing what Brandon told you to?" Sanji wondered, shocked to hear that he could have seen Zoro at the Baratie cooking with Zeff. He can't imagine it.

"Yeah, but it mostly happened during school. There were some times that I came late. He didn't really press for me to tell him anything. He just taught me to cook and that's it. The day he told me I've learned what I can is the last day I saw him."

"How long were the classes?" He asks

"A month maybe." Zoro moves over to the stove.

"How could I have not known?" Sanji asks himself, though, Zoro heard.

"I made sure to avoid you." Zoro says.

"Oh." That hurt but just a little. He can't do anything about it now. He had told Zoro to stay away from him.

What he should really have focus on is the fact that Zeff had taught Zoro how to cook. Explains why everything Zoro made was actually good. There is flavor, seasoning and cooked to perfection. He has Zeff to thank for that.

Before Sanji knew it, he is sitting on his desk waiting for school to start. He looks over to Zoro's desk. It seems so far now. In the two days they were together, they were so close that he could feel the heat roll of of Zoro like a heater, smell Zoro's shampoo and body wash and hear Zoro talk or laugh. How when Zoro laughed the blonde could feel it in his own bones.

It's scary how different this relationship is already.

He's enjoying it but at the same time it's scary. To think he would feel this way about Zoro.

He wished Zoro was here, so they can be together more. He understood that Zoro might not be ready to come back to school, doesn't know how long that would take, but he's not going to force the man. Unless his family wants it, then that's another story. If it comes to that he'll make sure he's there for Zoro, not like the first time. Though, he doesn't think he'll have a problem this time. Everyone has calmed down from the video reveal and is feeling bad for what they did. But no one knows anything about Zoro, not where he lives, or his phone number, anything so they can't tell him sorry or sent cards. The teachers aren't taking any either, no cards or letter and most certainly not telling anyone his address. For some reason he had a feeling Zeff needs more help at the restaurant again so he might not be able to see the marimo he's so fond of.

That thought brought him in a sour mood. He loved helping Zeff at the restaurants. He doesn't mind helping but now he wants to be with Zoro all the time. He found something better than helping at the restaurant. Now wanting to enjoy his youth.

It might actually be better this way. He might end up suffocating Zoro with his presence. But just a peek isn't that bad. Weather he needs to or not he'll help Zeff at the restaurant but not before he just sees Zoro real quick.

"He-hem." Sanji turns to the person who interrupted his thinking by clearing their throat loudly. To say he's shocked would be an understatement. He knew they are mad at him and Zoro, he didn't think they would talk to him so early. He thought a month or two more before they talk to him again, Zoro less.

"Yes." He says with a smile. He would never be rude to Nami and Robin, even now.

"Is... how is Zoro?"

"Better." He didn't want to be rude by not answering but he didn't think they deserve to know more. If they really cared they would see him themselves. Zoro already believes they aren't friends anymore.
