Sanji sat in his seat dazed. Sanji got the headmaster and head counselor to ask him for a favor. It was weird, they also seemed really desperate.
But he told them the truth. He hasn't talked to Zoro about school at all. He hasn't even mentioned to Zoro about the redemption video. How people now know who the real bad guy is. About how the others asked for him. He's missed.
Zoro might be traumatized. Every time he's reminded of school he starts to tremble with fear.
That did remind him of something, something he was suppose to do, he told Zoro he would do. He told the marimo that he was going to help him with his assignment that he hasn't done or turned in. That's all on him, he got so caught up in the fact that they are dating, what he told his boyfriend escaped his mind. This being brought up is actually good timing, he'll take this as a sign to talk to Zoro about it.
Sanji eyes found the face of the clock. It was almost time. Slowly and covertly he put things away. He would say he needed to get out of here fast but it is more want to get out of here fast than need. He is accepting that he has gotten really into Zoro now that they are dating, which sometimes blows his mind.
Sanji looks at the clock and counts the seconds. 3... 2... 1 *RING* In a flash Sanji slides his books that he needs and notes into his messenger bag. Along with everyone he bows with a 'thank you,' still standing, he grabs his bag and pushes his chair in before bolting out of class. Running right past his teacher. Not caring about the "Don't run in the hall!" being shouted at him. Everyone he past stopped to stare.
No one has seen Sanji run out of the school so fast, he always stayed to chat with the girls, or his club. Now that they thought about it Sanji hasn't stayed once for his club, he always leaves after school, never staying on campus to mingle with the others. It's very different now, he doesn't stay a minute longer than he needs to. Especially now, when everyone is going home, but linger to talk to friends. What could be so important?
The half the straw hat's look out the hallway as Sanji ran out, the other half saw him running to the front gate from the window they were at. "Looks like we missed another chance." Chopper says looking upset, he locked eyes with Luffy. The straw hat wearing boy looked down at his desk then at the desk behind him. It was getting lonely without the muscle head, he had no one to play with, no one strong enough to take a hit from him.
"He seemed more on a mission and happy than yesterday." Brook points out.
"What about the mysterious call from the counselor?" Usopp adds.
"We'll try again and again." Nami says trying to reassure Luffy and Chopper who stare at her with puppy dog eyes.
"Is it true that you are trying to get to Zoro too?" The group turn to see a timid looking girl with braids and round owl glasses standing in front of two others, her head facing the floor. The two behind her are the opposite. They gave off the 'I don't give a fuck' air around them, the lady on her right let her hair down while the male on her left has a fade but wore square glasses, looking like a hot nerd.
"Um... yes." Nami looks around as she answers with a small nod. The others in the room were staring.
"Then do you know how we can get into contact with Zoro?" The timid looking girls asks.
"No." Nami shakes her head. Hearing this the girl looks more upset than she already did.
"Why?" Robin asks.
"Well, I was wondering if you would give..." she turns to her friends who gave her a small bag they didn't notice they were holding, "this to Zoro. I feel really bad, I know what it's like to be bullied and ostracized, instead of being a bystander I could have helped but I didn't, even after he had helped me even though he didn't even know me." Oh, she must have been one of the ones that Zoro saved and helped in the redemption video. She fiddled with her hands, careful with the bags.
"I would save it. You can give it to Zoro yourself." Nami says. Her eyes light with happiness.
"Zoro is coming back?" She asks a little too loud, everyone got close to hear the news.
"No..." Nami says. "I don't know if he will but you might be able to see Zoro yourself outside of school. We all live in the same city so it could happen."
"Oh," she looks down at the floor, "ok. Well then," she turns with her friends who cheer her up. Saying she did good speaking for herself, for not backing down in the conversation and for starting the conversation herself.
"Maybe we should take your advice." Robin says. They all look at her, curious to what she means. "If we can't get Sanji to help us maybe we just try to find Zoro outside, I'm sure we'll be able to find him outside doing something."
"Yeah, maybe he's at the gym." Chopper says hopeful.
"That's if Sanji still doesn't want to talk to us." Nami warns.
"What if Zoro doesn't live in the city anymore? What if he moved?" Franky asks.
"If that's the case wouldn't Sanji be acting different? He seems to have gotten close to Zoro." Brook points out. They all nod with Brook's thinking. They hope that's the case. What would they do if Zoro did move?
"Isn't that like stalking?" Usopp points out which gets him a smack on the head. It not the same.
Or is it?
With sweat running down the side of his face, getting soaked into his hair, and his bangs getting clumped together Sanji made it. Just in time too. As he ran down the street Zoro's house is on he saw, with his 20/20 vision Zoro getting out of the house and locking the door. "ZORO!" he yells, a smile grows on his face when he saw Zoro jump in his own skin. Zoro whipped his head around looking for the person who called his name. His smile grew almost the same as Sanji when he saw the swirl that is his boyfriend's eyebrow, he also has 20/20 vision.
Zoro walked the few feet to the gate where Sanji ran to, bending over to catch a breath. "You actually made it." Zoro sounds astonished, it's understandable, getting here from school take a while, a lot of turns, for Zoro.
"Of course, I came to drop you off at work." Sanji raises his head to give Zoro a smile, the smile growing when he saw blood rise to Zoro's cheeks.
