With that set, and Sanji apologizing to Sengoku in his head over and over again, the couple continue their trek to Zoro's work. Sanji is excited, he was curious to see where his boyfriend worked.
He could understand that his family most likely helped him get the job, so that begged the question what job was it?
It could be anything, from cashier to waiter? Maybe. Would Zoro be good at customer service? He always has a frown on his face. He looks at said man to see him not frowning, but he wasn't smiling either. Ok, so maybe he could work in customer service. But it's not about whether he could smile but more of how helpful he is? He could be nice yes, he's seen it, the whole school has but he would beat the crap out of the assholes. There are always asshole customers. Surely Zoro would get fired for that.
Maybe he's gotten lucky he hasn't meet any of those customers yet, but can he just take it and smile?
Yes, he can. Something like that wouldn't be as bad as the whole school being rude and mean.
Sanji then started to wonder if it would be weird to stay and watch Zoro work.
Maybe it would be. What would he be doing for almost three hours at... where ever Zoro worked?
Sanji looked around to see he's downtown. He's close to the Baratie. It's down the street! Where are they going?
The blonde continued to follow Zoro, going in a circle a couple times but didn't mention it, before they stopped in front of a small convenient store named Marine Time Convenience with the slogan 'get what you need fast and affordable' underneath the anchor logo and store name. He followed Zoro in and there stood someone in a sailor outfit working behind the counter. He turned to them, the sliding doors open with a chime, and smiles when he sees Zoro.
Sanji couldn't help but feel jealous and possessive of Zoro in that moment. But he restraint himself. He and Zoro are dating so why feel that?
He wanted to show others that Zoro is taken.
Sanji became amazed by himself, he has never felt like this, it could be because his past relationships they were both over affectionate with each other, correction he was but they never complained so he assumed it was okay to hold their hand, waist and wrap his arm around her shoulder. People knew immediately, obviously this is different. They walked side by side like equals.
It should be fine, he didn't need to. This was his co-worker, Zoro would either tell him or he could figure it out. He had nothing to worry about either, his co-worker doesn't like him, if he did then they might have started dated. Zoro would have gone for him, the co-worker most likely has treated Zoro more nice than he has, as much as that thought hurts, but Zoro is dating him so it's fine. He's treating Zoro better and will continue to do so.
"It's been forever. Glad to see your back. Feeling better?" He asks as he leans over the counter, a big smile across your face.
"Yeah." Zoro nods, "all healed."
"Well, Zephyr is waiting for you in the back." He points to the door leading to the back.
"Um..." Sanji interrupts, stopping Zoro from going on. "Quick question, do you also have an outfit like that?" Sanji points to the guy behind the counter who looks at the blonde surprised. He didn't notice Zoro walked in with something else.
Zoro looks at his co-worker then at Sanji, "yes. Why?" Zoro raises an eyebrow.
Sanji looks Zoro from head to toe, "no reason. Just curious." He ends the checking out at Zoro face and a smile. Zoro just shrugs it off and goes to talk to his manager.
The co-worker starts laughing, disrupting Sanji's fantasy, the blonde looks at him questioningly. What is so funny? Like he could read minds he answers, "sorry it's just... how long have you two been dating?" He asks wiping the tears that threatened to fall. What a good laugh. Sanji reals back shocked and making embarrassed gibberish noises.
"What? How?" Sanji's whole face turned red with those two words.
"Beside the way you looked at him just now?" The man says.
"I wasn't-"
"You looked like you wanted to fuck Zoro on the floor in our uniform just now." He says. Sanji's face got even more red, making him look like a lobster.
"Was not." Sanji says softly but the co-worker heard it and laughed again but softer this time.
"So... how long?" He asks after taking some deep breaths to calm himself.
"Two weeks and a half." The co-worker nods.
"Make sense. Zoro seemed happier today than he did the last day he was here. So what happened?"
"Not my place."
"To bad. Well, I could just ask Zoro myself. I was so curious, all the manager said was that something happened to Zoro and that he was injured. He seemed fine when I went to visit him?"
"You visited him?"
"Yeah, so he could give me back my manga." The man says.
"Oh, that was you." Sanji says remembering.
"You saw?"
"I was down the street."
"Well, it's good that he seems better. Oh right, my names Elliot." He says holding his hand out. Sanji takes it and they shake hands.
"Sanji."
"So are you going to be here the whole three hours Zoro works or are you heading home?" He gives the blonde a smirk, akin to one of Namis'.
"Just want to see Zoro in his uniform." Sanji says blushing again as he takes his phone out, ready to take pictures. "Plus I only came to walk Zoro to work. But I'll be back to pick him up." Sanji says making sure the camera is on and the settings are good.
"Are you worried Zoro will be swept of his feet by another man?" He teases but Sanji is serious with this, he didn't want what happened in the ally to happen again. It could be just his paranoia but he wants Zoro safe.
"Just don't want Zoro to go through that again." Elliot's goofy smile disappears.
"That serious huh. Well I'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious." Sanji gave Elliot a smile. At least he knew about them, and to watch out for Zoro.
One thing Sanji was not prepared for was how Zoro looked in a sailor outfit. A sailor top, navy blue pants that fit to his legs and converse. It was sexy but adorable at the same time. The hat really selling it. Sanji could help but laugh, as he took picture but he really wanted to ravish the man too but that's for later down the line.
