Zoro continue to walk on. He had things to do. Sanji followed without a word with Zoro. Zoro didn't wait for them to say anything, didn't even ask what they wanted.
They could hear them shouting for them to wait. Zoro didn't and Sanji followed. He couldn't, memories from before he met Luffy were flooding back and he didn't like it. Sanji didn't like the fast pace Zoro was walking, then he started printed, lastly he went into running just as he was breathing heavily. He knew what that meant, he was thinking about something he didn't like, like school.
Zoro stopped when they stood in front of a supermarket. He started to breath, let the oxygen in his lungs after running so fast. Sanji did too, having followed Zoro in circles a couple times, after a while they finally stopped in front of the supermarket.
Once he got his breath Zoro stepped inside. Sanji quickly follows. "Are you really not going to talk about them?" The blonde asks curiously.
"I don't want to. I don't think I can." Zoro says taking another deep breath.
"So what are we doing here?"
"Duh, what does it look like? I need groceries." Zoro says with a grin.
"Oh, what are you making for tonight?" Sanji asks intrigued.
"Miso soup." Zoro gives Sanji a smile as he grabs a small basket from the entrance.
"Miso soup?" Sanji asks. "What's that?"
"Soup." Zoro answers making Sanji grin as he roll his eyes.
"I know but tell me more about it?"
"Oh it's a Japanese dish. I thought you were a chef?" Zoro looks at Sanji.
"I want to be but at the Baratie we mainly make French quinine, along with other European dishes. We don't really do Asian dishes. Do you mind if I watch you cook it?" Sanji asks.
"Sure, would you like to try some too."
"Yeah." Sanji smiles, Zoro returns it, making Sanji blush.
Sanji made sure to remember all of the ingredients that Zoro picked up. This really interested him. He's seen Zoro cook yes, but the meals Zoro made were some he's heard of, spaghetti, hamburgers, fried chicken, salad, and others. This was a dish he's never heard of and his curiosity was eating at him.
As Zoro paid Sanji was trying to figure out how Zoro would cook the ingredients to make the miso soup. He looked up to see Zoro pull out a round green wallet? If that's what it is, it had a goofy face. He started laughing, it was a marimo wallet for the marimo. Zoro turned to him with a frown. "What are you laughing at?" He asks and he paid for the food, then put his wallet away and grabed the bags. Sanji followed Zoro out still laughing.
"Your wallet... was a marimo... just like you." Sanji says in between laughs before he laughed harder thinking about it again. He couldn't believe it. Zoro blushed and glared at him.
"It was a birthday gift from my older brother when I was little." Zoro explains.
"So it really is a marimo." Again Sanji bursts into laughter.
"Stop laughing." Zoro commands with a blush.
"I can't help it. I know I make fun of you with it but... I didn't expect this." Zoro gave Sanji a glare but it looked more like a pout. Then he walks away.
"No miso soup for you." Zoro says under his breath.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry." Sanji say wiping the tear that formed in his eye from laughing to hard. "Can I still have some soup?" Zoro didn't say anything just 'hmm' as he walked on.
The others stood around the front of the supermarket, they saw Zoro and Sanji walk in but they couldn't go in, it was rude to go in to not buy something. They wait for a while before they heard laughing. They turned to see Sanji laughing and an angry looking Zoro with a bag in his hand. They followed them but it seemed like they didn't notice the others.
They watched Sanji and Zoro. At first it was like normal, Sanji making fun at Zoro about a marimo or something. Zoro frowning and saying he's not getting something. But after sorrys were said Sanji and Zoro started talking, it was a lot different. It was like they've been friends for years, which they knew wasn't true, well not completely true. They've known each other for years but they've never been this close to each other, and no one have guess looking at them now. At first it was weird to see, Sanji and Zoro laughing with each other, playing around, smiling at each other.
Their relationship really did change in the last weeks.
They all stopped and stared at the house Zoro and Sanji entered. They knew it wasn't Sanji's, he lives with Zeff above the Baratie, so it has to be Zoros'.
"I thought Zoro lived in a run down apartment complex. This is too nice for him." Usopp says. The grass is green, the flowers are beautiful, the bricks of the wall are clean, so is the gate, everything is sparkling. Nothing like what they thought he would live in. They all opened the gate and walked the front path to the front door. Luffy rings the doorbell.
"You idiot we don't even know what to say yet!" Nami whispers shout, as she smacks his head.
They all gasp, when they hear the door opening. Sanji stood there surprised. "What are you all doing here?"
"We followed you?" Luffy says, that earns him another smack by Nami.
"Zoro doesn't want to see you." Sanji waves, shooing them away then closes the door.
They stood in silence for a while, staring at the door.
"Zoro doesn't want to see us? Does he hate us now?" Chopper asks, already starting to cry.
"I don't think he hates us, maybe he just doesn't want to see us." Robin says trying to cheer up Chopper.
"Will he want to see us again?" Chopper asks, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Maybe if we apologize." Robin says.
"And how do we do that?" Usopp asks.
"We know Zoro, I'm sure we can find a way." Luffy says with his signature smile. Nami just sighs.
"We should get out of here. We could come together tomorrow and think of ideas." Nami says. With that they take their leave.
Sanji closes the blinds seeing that they left. He goes to Zoro and tells him. Zoro looked afraid, Sanji didn't know why but he could tell he didn't want to see them. He told them that they followed them and that they left. Zoro looked relieved but he was quiet as he finished his miso soup.
Which Sanji had to say was delicious. He's never had anything like it before and Sanji told Zoro that, which lifted the mosshead mood.
