Rojin ran everything that went on in the city. He was in charge of all the police and it seems like his methods keep everything under control.

"Chief Rojin, checking in with the newest inmates." Rojin received a report with images of Yukin and his friends being confirmed that they've been arrested. He looked over the faces, but he spotted Siri's.

"Hold on. Isn't that the girl from the other day?" Rojin questioned. He brought an image from when Huo dueled Officer Dungus and zoomed in on Zoey's face. They looked like the same girl, but he could tell they were different as well. "Interesting..." He reached for the computer to give orders. "Separate the girl from the rest of them." Rojin is stumbling upon something, but as long as they're in his city, they'll play by his rules.

...

Yukin

"Where are we going?" Sylvester said. "I hope this is another escort to a swanky hotel."

"We're in trouble with the police and we're wearing cuffs in the back of a cop car. You really think we're going to a hotel?" Ryo said like Sylvester was an idiot.

"This is crazy. We didn't even do anything wrong." Yukin said.

"They don't care. They'll look for any excuse just to lock us away." Shiro said. "If we don't play the way this city wants us to play, this sort of thing will happen a lot."

"I do hope Ristly is okay." Yukin said as he was concerned on what happened to him.

"You think he managed to escape?" Siri said.

"He's probably with the girls. I'm sure he's okay. We should be more concerned with what's going to happen to us." Ryo said. He had a point there. They soon arrived at a facility, a jail for all the troublemakers and such. Once they pulled inside, the police opened up the doors and had them all come out.

"Okay, newbies. Here's the deal. You're duel disks stay with us, but you can keep your decks." An officer said.

"Hold on. If we can't keep our duel disks, why can we keep our decks?" Yukin said as he found that very strange.

"You'll find out soon enough." The officer said. "Now start marching and get acquainted with your new home." They all had no choice except to deal with it. All of them started moving, but one officer stopped Siri.

"Not you. We have somewhere else in mind with you. Direct orders from the boss himself." The officer said. He grabbed Siri and pushed her in a different direction from the others.

"Hold on. What are you going to do with her?" Yukin said as he didn't like she was being separated from the group.

"Worry about yourself at the moment. Move!" An officer said as he pushed Yukin and forced him and the others to keep walking and separated Siri from the rest of them. Yukin and the others were inside and had a look around the place. There were prison cells everywhere and each one of these guys look like trouble. Yukin and his friends are going to have a rough time in here.

...

Zoey

While Yukin and his friends were having a rough time, Zoey and Huo were able to stay out of reach from the police.

"Here we are." Huo said as he pulled in front of a garage that was down in the slums. "Home sweet home."

"You live here?" Zoey questioned.

"Me and Rini did. Neither of us really knew our parents, but we always looked out for each other." Huo said. "This place isn't so bad. Plenty of space, few roaches, hardly any rats..." He tried selling it, but Zoey wasn't exactly comfortable. "Anyway, you can take Rini's half as long as you're here."

"Thanks. At least it's better than nothing, I suppose."

"You can even bother some of her clothes." Huo said. "You and she look about the same size. I'm saying that because that outfit stinks." He said it so bluntly that Zoey was a little embarrassed. "Those clothes would probably run off you if they could. At least since you and Rini are the same size, you don't need to watch the eats." He tried laughing it off as a joke, but Zoey didn't take it lightly as she grabbed a hold of him and started whacking him around.

"Who do you think you are?! If you talk to me like that again, you're going to be getting a lot worse! Got it?!" Zoey shouted to Huo after giving him a good whack.

"Yes, ma'am..." Huo said in a daze. Once the two of them got things settled, they moved inside with Huo working on his runner. He heard a door behind him and spotted Zoey coming out of the shower in some simple clothes now.

"That felt so nice." Zoey said.

"Woo! Looking good." Huo said as he appeared to be taking in the sight.

"Where are you looking?" Zoey said as she looked ready to give him another whack, but Huo quickly looked away. "So, what are you doing?"

"Keeping my runner running. I'm going to need it for when I enter the All Grand Prix." Huo said.

"You entered the tournament?" Zoey questioned.

"Yeah..." Huo said as he looked at a poster for the tournament. "Rini and I wanted to make it in one day. I promised her that I would and give it my best shot." Zoey was a little touched. Huo might be a little weird, blunt, and rash; on top of it all, he's a good guy. "Oh, I entered you in the tournament as well."

"What?!" Zoey said.

...

The Facility

Yukin and the others are trying their best to make the most of the situation. Of course, it's not easy being in jail. They just arrived and they already have work they need to do.

"Okay, inmates. The bathroom needs a cleaning and you all are the ones that are going to do that." An officer said as Yukin, his friends, and a few others were put in charge of cleaning the place.

"You must be joking. I don't even clean a dish." Sylvester said. "My father won't be having any of this."

"Sylvester, for once just shut up." Yukin said.

"Stop stalling. Grab a mop or a rag and get to cleaning." The officer said.

"Actually... I'm not feeling that well." One inmate said as he walked over. Yukin looked and saw him gave the officer a card. "I think I'm going to pass."

"Same here."

"Me too." The other random inmates gave a card to the officer as well and were able to get themselves out of cleaning. Yukin saw it and didn't really like it. He let them go easily and left Yukin with his friends.

"Anyone else?" The officer said implying that he wanted them to give up a card to get out of this. Yukin didn't like that at all. He walked over with the cop thinking he was handing over a card, but Yukin grabbed a mop instead. He did make sure that when he turned around, he "accidentally" hit the cop with the mop. After cleaning the bathroom, they went back to their jail cell.

"I can't believe they made us clean that. How did those other guys get out of it? I would have done the same." Sylvester said.

"I'm not sure that would be a good idea." Yukin said as he had a look outside. He saw people giving cards away in exchange for favors and such. "They're just giving their cards away. What's that about?"

"That's how it works around here. Cards are like money. The more rare a card is, the more value it holds." They heard a voice and Yukin recognized it.

"Wait. I know that voice. Siegrain?" Yukin said. From saying his name, Siegrain came out from behind the wall and stood in front of the cell.

"Hey, Yukin. Never thought I see you like this." Siegrain said.

"They got you too?" Yukin said.

"Not just him. Me too." Yukin looked to the other side and saw Klaus showed up as well.

"Klaus? What did they arrest you two for?" Yukin said.

"Not really sure. Apparently, you guys caused some trouble and they arrested us for being associated with you." Siegrain said. "The people around here are nuts."

"It didn't take long for us to figure out how things work around here." Klaus said. "We saw people trading away their cards to get the better end of the deal around here."

"It's not just us that are here either. Shun is here too." Siegrain said.

"Shun? Where is he?" Yukin asked.

"He didn't like how things ran around here either, but he was more physical with his opposition." Siegrain said. "In the short time that we've been here, he already got himself thrown in solitary confinement."

"Oh man. I can't believe this is really happening." Yukin said. "All of us are behind bars, and these people are just giving away their cards like it's nothing. What's wrong with these people?"

"That's what happens in a city where you can push others around and bribe them." Shiro said.

"Yukin, aren't you going to introduce us to your buddies here?" Ryo said.

"Siegrain and Klaus, meet Shiro and Ryo. They helped us out earlier before we got thrown in here." Yukin said.

"And look where that got us. You just had to do more charity work, Ryo." Shiro complained.

"So, let me get this straight. All we have to do is give them some of our cards and we can get the things we want?" Sylvester said. "Sounds good to me. Get me an officer and maybe I can get us room service."

"Where's your self-respect as a duelist?" Yukin said as he was against this himself. "Each card in our deck is a part of ourselves. They hold memories and more of all that we've been through. Giving them away like they're nothing is something no self-respecting duelist would do. I don't know what the deal is with this whole city, but I'm disgusted by it."

"I hear that. This place is not right in everyone's head." Siegrain said.

"But there doesn't appear to be anything we can do at the moment. We'll just have to sit tight until Renji or someone can get us out." Klaus said. Yukin hated it, but he knew Klaus was right. There's nothing they can do at the moment. Either way, Yukin isn't going to play by their rules. He's not giving away any of their cards. Someone further down had his eyes on them. This guy is someone who does play by these strange rules.

...

Later

It soon came time for dinner. The inmates were given slob, bread, and water as their meal. Yukin saw the guy ahead got a good portion of the food. When it came his turn, he hardly got much of anything.

"What's this? Did the pigs eat up all the slob?" Yukin said.

"You don't like it, too bad. OF course, I could cut you a sweet deal if you got something good in your deck." The worker said, but Yukin refused to give up anything. He just walked away from it. "Bit of advice kid! You're not going to make it very far in here if you don't get rid of a card!" Yukin didn't care. He just kept walking.

"Hello. I would like a medium rare steak with a Caesar salad on the side topped with Italian dressing." Sylvester ordered like it was a restaurant. He was given the same kind of food Yukin was given. Sylvester has never felt so down in the dumps. "Don't these people know who I am? My father will have their heads for this."

"Give it up already, Sylvester." Yukin said as he got annoyed with all his talking. "Do you not get your father's authority goes only as far as Merge City. In other words, your father being the mayor means nothing all the way out here. You're not going to be getting any special treatment. To these guys, you're just some complaining little brat."

"No... That can't be true..." Sylvester said as he didn't like the sound of that at all.

"Yukin! Over here!" Siegrain called as his friends got them a table. Yukin and Sylvester went on over to them. Some of the inmates thought Yukin and his friends were a joke, and they loved to play jokes. One held out his leg to try and trip him, but Yukin stopped just short so he wouldn't trip.

"You mind moving that leg?" Yukin said as he glared at the inmate. One glared back, but he moved his leg either way.

"Hey! Newbies!" They looked across the cafeteria and spotted a couple goons trying to get their attention. "Come with us. The big guy wants to talk to all of you."

"The big guy?" Ryo questioned.

"I've heard a few of these guys talk about someone they call that. I'm guessing they're talking about the inmate that seems to call the shots around here." Klaus said. Yukin and his friends walked over to see what this was about. When they got to him, they met a guy in his late thirties. He had a buzzcut of black hair and was wearing a green robe with sandals. What Sylvester didn't like was that he was eating food that looked like it came from a fancy restaurant.

"Hey! No fair! Where did he get good food like that!" Sylvester said.

"So, these are the new guys." The man said.

"You're the big guy? What do you want with us?" Yukin questioned.

"I'll be quick about it. Just leave me every card you have." The man said like it was nothing with the way he kept eating.

"What? You want us to give you our cards? Not happening." Yukin said. "Who are you anyway?"

"My name is Jirobo Toknetsu. I happen to be the one in charge of this place. Even the police bow to my will. Do you know why that is? It's because I have the cards to get me through. Just take a look here." He stoop up and opened his robe to show a variety of very rare cards that he can just give away. "Give me your cards and I promise you things will be a lot easier for you."

"Oh man. This guy has this system figured out and claimed it as his own." Siegrain said.

"You can just leave your cards on the table and I can promise you that things will go more smoothly for you around here." Jirobo said as he kept eating. None of them were quite sure what to do, but Yukin walked right over to him. Jirobo was expecting him to give up his cards, but what Yukin did was take Jirobo's food and threw it all against him. A lot of people were shocked that he had the guts to do that.

"Not a chance." Yukin said. "My cards are a part of who I am. They mean a lot to me. Every time I'm in a duel, I have faith in my deck and it comes through."

"Faith in your cards? What a naïve child you are." Jirobo said. "You be better off giving them to me. Believing in your cards won't get you anywhere. Now give them."

"I wouldn't give you a single Ojama." Yukin said. "There's only one way you're seeing any of my cards, and I think you know how." Jirobo saw where this was going indeed. He took a couple cards and tossed them to an officer.

"Bring me a couple duel disks." Jirobo said. A duel was about to happen and no one was going to miss that. The two of them got a duel disk and were ready to begin. "I'm going to show you how foolish you are to think your cards are more than just that."

"Quit your yapping. Let's get started." Yukin said as they both activated their duel disks.

"Let's duel!" Both said as they had 4000LP.

"I shall make the first move." Jirobo said. "I'll start by placing one card facedown. After that, I play the spell known as Card Diversity. This allows me to summon any monsters from my hand or deck as long as they have less than 1000atk points. I'll summon these two from my hand plus three more from my deck. I summon my Card-Guard Fiend, Fool, Moon, Emperor, and Chariot." He summoned out five plates designed like tarot cards with images of those five figures on it. Each one had 200atk points. "Now, we both take 200points of damage for every monster that was summoned. That means we lose 1000LP." Both of them got electrocuted from that ability and their life points dropped to 3000. "Now, I activate the spell card: Card-Guard Enrichment! This spell allows me to treat one my Card-Guards into a tuner monster!"

"A tuner monster?!" Yukin said. He could see what was going to happen from here.

"I tune my level two Card-Guard Fiend with the rest of my Card-Guards!" Jirobo said. One broke into two circles and surrounded the other four turning them into a series of stars. "Rain down the light to punish others! I synchro summon Card-Guard Lightning Shower!" He summoned out a man dressed in white Japanese garments and carried an umbrella with it having 3500atk points. "I end my turn and pass it to you."

"Not bad, but I'm not afraid." Yukin said. "I draw!" He drew his card, but that was what Jirobo wanted.

"Card-Guard Lightning Shower's effect activates! Since you drew a card and is now your standby phase, you take 1500points of damage!"

"1500?!" Yukin said. Jirobo's monster had light rain down on Yukin and his life points dropped by half.

"Whoa! With an ability like that, Yukin will be finished on his next turn!" Siegrain said.

"Your troubles are just beginning. I activate the Nothing Special continuous trap!" Jirobo said as he played his trap. "As long as this trap remains on the field, you can't special summon any monsters."

"No special summons?!" Klaus said.

"But that means he can't elemental summon!" Siegrain said.

"You were a fool to challenge me, a fool not to give up your cards." Jirobo said. "Now, you shall pay for your mistakes." Yukin's situations just keep getting worse and worse. Now, if he doesn't win this duel, he'll lose his deck and possibly his future.
