Rojin kept an eye on everything that went on in the city. That includes what happens in his prison. He was already aware of the duel that happened between Yukin and Jirobo.
"Elemental summoning... Interesting." Rojin said. "This boy could be useful in the future, but I doubt he would willingly work with me. Now... As for the girl..." He took a look at solitary confinement with Shun and Siri alone. He was more interested in Siri. He brought up images of Siri's face as well as Zoey's face from that night. "These two girls look similar, but different at the same time." Rojin appears to be taking an interest in Yukin and his friends. As he arranged the chess pieces on his board, he came up with a plan. "Let's try getting the pawns pass the rooks and knights." Whatever Rojin is planning, it might not be good for Yukin and his friends.

The Facility
Yukin and his friends were trying to make the most of their situation in the facility. After Yukin won his duel against Jirobo, things have gotten better for them. The inmates are treating them nicer and Yukin managed to change Jirobo's ways. Jirobo was actually giving back all the cards he ever took from the inmates.
"Here. Take it back." Jirobo said as he handed them some cards.
"Hold on. I thought those cards were as good as money around here." Sylvester said. "You're just giving them away now?"
"Yes. Yukin had me see the truth after I lost our duel." Jirobo said. "I have no need to hold on to these cards. I'm giving them back to the ones I took, and if they aren't here anymore, I'll find those who would like to have them."
"Really? In that case, I'll take the best cards you have." Sylvester said as he held out his hands, but Siegrain grabbed him by the ear and dragged him away.
"No cards for you, Sylvester. They're for the needy, not the greedy." Siegrain said. Either way, things are getting better around here. However, Yukin wasn't really enjoying it and he's the one that caused the change. He just sat to the side and was thinking of what he was going to do.
"Yukin?" Yukin snapped out of his thoughts when he saw Ryo coming over to him. "You okay?"
"Just thinking." Yukin said.
"Still thinking about that friend of yours?" Ryo said. Yukin didn't say anything, but Ryo was right. He was still thinking Zoey was okay out there. "Speaking of friends, look who is here." Yukin looked up and saw Shun and Siri joining the others.
"Siri! Shun!" Yukin said as he went over to the two of them. "You two okay?"
"Yeah. It wasn't so bad." Siri said.
"So, you and some of the others got here too." Shun said.
"Yeah, but I'm glad to see you're both okay." Yukin said.
"Glad to see they weren't too rough on you guys." Ryo said as he came over.
"Shun, this is Ryo..." Yukin introduced.
"I know. Siri told me all about what has been going on since we got here, and I frankly don't care." Shun said. "All I care about is getting out of here and get to Promin Academy. I knew coming here was a waste of time." Shun walked past them.
"Sorry about him. He can be a bit of a grouch." Yukin said.
"You don't say." Ryo said.
"Ryo!" Ryo looked and saw an old buddy of his.
"Johnny! Good to see you again!" Ryo said.
"Yeah. I've been meaning to talk to you, but I didn't get the chance." Johnny said. Johnny looked to the side and spotted Siri. "Hey, it's you." Siri looked at him with confusion because she's never seen him before. "You're that girl who was putting up posters about this Promin Academy with this other guy. Although, I thought you had different hair than that. I should have known the police would lock you up for disturbing the peace or thinking you're some crazy person."
"What?!" Yukin said as he had an idea of who that was. "Did that girl have pink hair?"
"Why don't you ask her? She's standing right behind you." Johnny said.
"Zoey! It had to have been her!" Siri said. "So she really is out in the city, and she's trying to warn people about Promin Academy."
"Okay, I'm getting a little confused. You guys keep talking about this Promin Academy. Is it really as bad as you say?" Ryo asked.
"It's actually a lot worse when you see it in person." Siri said.
"That's it. We can't wait around anymore and waiting for someone or something to let us out." Yukin said. "We're breaking out of here." Yukin can't wait to be free. He's got to get out there and find Zoey before it's too late.
...
Zoey
Speaking of Zoey, she was working on a little something herself. Huo signed her up for the tournament with him. As part of the tournament, she was trying to learn how to ride a duel runner. It was hardly going well. Her last practice caused her to fly off the runner.
"Watch it. That's my baby." Huo said. "The tournament will lend you a runner to use, it might be on autopilot, but you still got to learn how to use one of these."
"Easy for you to say!" Zoey called. "The only good thing about this is that I look cute in this outfit you gave me." She was wearing a white and pink runner suit, but that's the only part of all this she likes. "You were the one who signed me up for this tournament in the first place!"
"I just figured you would like to do something fun while you're here." Huo said. "Now, get back on the runner, and try not to scratch it."
"As soon as I figure out how this thing works, I'm running you over with it!" Zoey shouted. Zoey's doing fine so far, but that all will change. It's only a matter of time, but will it be from Promin Academy or Rojin?
...
The Facility
Yukin needs to get out of the facility before anything really happens. Of course, escape is easier said than done. There doesn't appear to be any exits. He talked to Ryo and see if he knew a way to get out.
"What do you think?" Yukin asked.
"I don't know. Most people would like to get out of here." Ryo said. "Some of these guys probably are innocent and are being corrupted because of the ludicrous system this city runs by. The problem is that escape will be difficult."
"There must be a way out of here." Yukin said. Ryo thought it over.
"There is one way." Ryo said as he showed him. "Shiro and I have been talking. We were already thinking of a way to get out of here." Ryo showed him the inside of their prison cell and was pointing to the ventilation shaft. "The ventilation system is big enough for us to slip in and get out of here. We just pop these babies open and make our way through there."
"Sounds good." Yukin said.
"Yeah, but there's a problem. There are cameras everywhere." Ryo said. "If we try and get out through there, they'll catch us easily."
"So we need some sort of distraction. Something that will keep their eyes off us." Yukin said.
"Yeah, but there's nothing we can do. There's going to be someone watching the cameras the whole time." Ryo said.
"Well, I can't wait around for too long." Yukin said. "I'm going to tell the others what you told me. Maybe they can think of something that can help. We need to get out of here as soon as possible." Yukin's on the track to something, but there are still a few pieces needed. He regrouped with the others and told them what Ryo told them. "What do you guys think?"
"Sounds it could be a good way to get out of here, but how are we going to pull it off?" Siegrain said.
"We need something to distract the cops. There are cameras everywhere, but we need something that will keep their eyes off us." Yukin said.
"What about a dueling marathon?" Klaus said. "If we can get all the inmates dueling, all the eyes will be on that."
"Good idea." Jirobo said. "I still have plenty of rare cards. I could toss them into the air and turn it into a free-for-all. Even the officers here would try to get their hands on some rare cards."
"Good, but not good enough. We need to do something about the cameras." Siri said. "If only we could cause a power outage. That would cause the cameras to stop working."
"But how are we going to cause that?" Sylvester said. "None of us will be able to get to whatever causes power."
"It's called a power box or a generator." Siegrain said. "Shun and Siri, you were separated from the rest of us. Did you two ever see anything that might be able to help?
"Afraid not. Not a lot to see when you're in a room all by yourself." Shun said.
"There must be something we can do." Yukin said as he tried to think of some way to get out.
"I hate to say it, but Renji and Drewsin might be our only chance of getting out of here." Siegrain said. "They're still out there. Maybe there's something they can do. If only we can get in contact with them."
"I doubt there's anything they can do." Yukin said. "From what I understand on how this city works, we're guilty even if we're proven innocent. The people known as the higher-ups think little of those who they consider trash. That's probably what we are. There's got to be something we're missing." All of them tried to think of how they're going to get out of this. All of a sudden, the lights went out. There wasn't a single light anywhere. All of them were confused and wondering what this was going on.
"What is this?" Sylvester said. Yukin looked around and could see Ryo in the dark waving at him and telling him this could be their chance.
"Come on!" Yukin said as he showed the way and all of them hurried. Thinking there was no time to lose, Ryo took the chance with Shiro.
"Ryo, are you sure about this? We have a better chance of getting out with just the two of us?" Shiro asked.
"I'm sure. Yukin and his friends seem cool." Ryo said. "Now just help me up." He climbed on Shiro's shoulders and tried to get the vent open.
"Ryo! Did you do this?!" Yukin said as they all joined him in the cell.
"No, but I'm taking it." Ryo said as he was able to pull the vent off. "Let's go. We probably don't have much time." Ryo climbed into the vent. Yukin and the others soon followed. None of them know what happened to the power, but they were taking the chance to escape while they can.
"Ryo, do you even know where we're going?" Yukin said as they all tried sticking together in the vents.
"No worries. Just keep following me." Ryo said as he kept showing the way. They all made their way through the vents and they hurried as fast as they could before the power came back on. Luckily, Ryo was able to find a way out. He kicked against the vent and knocked it out of place. "Home free!" Ryo jumped out with Yukin following. The others soon followed as well.
"We're out!" Yukin said.
"We better get going before they catch us." Ryo said.
"Too late." A series of lights came on and shined against them. They all looked and saw officers already caught him with Rojin there. "Nice try, but you don't escape that easily."
"Oh man. Not him." Shiro said.
"What gives? Who is that guy?" Yukin said.
"Commander Rojin. He runs everything around here." Ryo said.
"It was a good effort, but I now have you right where I want you." Rojin said. Rojin put them all in cuffs, but he didn't take them back inside.
...
The Council Building
Rather than bringing them back inside the facility, Rojin brought the nine of them to the Council Building. This was rather strange to all of them.
"The council building? What are we doing back here?" Siegrain questioned.
"I'm not sure. Just keep your eyes open for anything suspicious." Yukin said.
"I highly suggest all be on your best behavior here. You are in the presence of the honorable council." Rojin said.
"Thank you, Commander Rojin." They all looked up at the top of a set of chairs to see five people. At the top was one man that looked like he was form Paris, one from Japan with him wearing a red kimono, an elderly lady dressed in blue, a man wearing a green suit with long wavy black hair, and the last one was an elderly man dressed in all white with a purple tunic.
"It's an honored to be here, as usual." Rojin said. "Let me introduce you commoners to the council. On the left, we have Monsieur Pier and Takato-sama. On the right, we have Lady Maribel and Sir Tensen. In the middle, we have the high councilmember: Senator Palice."
"So, these are the folks we've been here about." Palice said as he look at all of them. "I must say that it's nice to meet all of you."
"No reason to be so formal." Maribel said. "They're criminals, delinquents, and much more. Commander Rojin, was it really necessary for you to shut off the power in your own prison?"
"What?!" Yukin said as they were all shocked to hear that. "That was you?! Why would you do that?"
"To have the pawns think they got pass the rooks and the knights only to stumble into a trap." Rojin said. "I cut off the power to see what you all would do. It was a way to get your attention." That's what he claims, but Yukin was having doubts.
"Well, you got it. So what do you want?" Yukin said.
"Regardless of why you're here, you're here now." Someone said as the doors opened up. All of them looked to see Renji with Ristly and Drewsin.
"Renji!" Yukin said.
"We have much to talk about, councilmen." Renji said. Yukin and his friends might have gotten out of the prison, but now they can focus on the real reason as to why they're here.
