"It's time we get started with the All Grand Prix! We've waited long enough!" Marcy said. "It's time we started with the first duel of the tournament! We've got Ryo going against Siegrain!" Everyone was excited for the first round of the tournament to begin. As for Jordan, he was watching the duels from the top of a tower in his own private room near the stadium. Siegrain was a little anxious as he changed into an ocean-blue suit with his runner looking as blue as the sky.
"Okay... You learned how to drive a boat when you were a kid. How hard can this thing be?" Siegrain said.
"Here come our first duelists! We've got...Siegrain!" Marcy said. Siegrain tried his best to ride the runner as he came out and rode on the field. "Next, from the lower parts of Nitro City, we've got Ryo!" Ryo rode out on his runner as well. He was taking this more serious and was all set to go.
"Listen, Siegrain. I'm not going to go easy on you just because you're friends with Yukin." Ryo said.
"Wouldn't want you to." Siegrain said. The two of them were set and ready to go.
"Duel Mode activated." Both of their runners switched functions and they were able to duel now.
...
Outside
"Come on! Hurry!" Nova said as she, Nene, and Rishi hurried to the tournament. "Ryo is dueling in the first match and I don't want to miss it."
"We know. We don't want to miss it either, but how are we going to get inside." Nene said. "I doubt they're going to let us in when we can't pay for it." The girls wanted to go inside and see the duel happen, but there didn't appear to be a way inside. Nova and Nene didn't know what to do until they heard Rishi clear her throat and saw she found a way.
"The backdoor is just as effective as the front." Rishi said as she was able to get back open. Worked for both of them. The girls kept an eye open for security and hurried inside so they don't miss Ryo's duel.

The Arena
"The duels are about to start, the motors are revving, and we all don't want to wait any longer!" Marcy said. "Time to start the action!" The countdown started with the boys ready to go. As the countdown reached zero, the two of them drove off.
"Let's duel!" Both of them said and the first duel of the tournament was about to start. They were both given 4000LP and ready to start.
"I'll make the first move." Siegrain said as he reached for his cards. "I'll start by summoning Deepsea Blowfish to the field!" He summoned out his blowfish to the field as it swam out with 300atk points. "I now activate Deepsea Blowfish's special ability! By sacrificing it, I can deal 300points of damage!" His blowfish inflated until it popped and shot needles with them hitting Ryo and his life points dropped to 3700.
"Look at that! It's only the first turn and Siegrain has already found a way to deal damage to Ryo!" Marcy said.
"After my Deepsea Blowfish is sent to the graveyard from its own ability, I can summon the other two to the field." Siegrain said. His other two blowfish came out on the field with them both having 300atk points as well. "I can't use their abilities this turn, but at least I've taken the lead. I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"Siegrain has already taken the initiative by summoning two monsters and dealing damage on the first turn." Marcy said. "How is Ryo going to respond to this?" Ryo was getting ready to draw his first card.
"Ryo!" Ryo heard his name. He looked to the stands and saw the girls found a way in and were cheering for him.
"The girls are here?" Ryo said. "Well, I can't lose now. It's my turn!" He said as he drew his card. "I'm going to start by summoning Switch Witch to the field!" He summoned out a cute witch with blonde hair, but had 0atk points.
"A monster with zero attack points? What are you going to do with that?" Siegrain questioned.
"You'll find out soon enough." Ryo said. "Next, I'm activating Witch Detection! This spell card allows me to summon another spellcaster to the field as long as it's a witch."
"You use a witch deck?" Siegrain said.
"Got a problem with that?!" Ryo said, but Siegrain kept quiet. "I'm now summoning out Charm Witch to the field." He summoned out a second cute witch with short purple hair with her having 600atk points. "Time you fell victim to the trick of the witch."
"The what?" Siegrain questioned.
"Let me show you. I'm activating Charm Witch's special ability! She can allow me to take control of one monster!" Ryo said. His witch blew a kiss with a little heart flying over. It hit one of Siegrain's fish and allowed him to control it as it went over to him.
"Look at that! Ryo took Siegrain's own monster!" Marcy said.
"And I think I'll use it's ability against you to take out your own life points!" Ryo said. The blowfish inflated and popped, but Siegrain was the one that took damage this time as his life points dropped to 3700. "Next, I'm going to have Switch Witch attack your second blowfish!"
"What?! Your witch is weaker than my monster!" Siegrain said.
"Not after I use her power! Switch Witch can cause our monsters to switch attack attack points!" Ryo said. Switch Witch blew a heart at the second blowfish. When that one hit, their attack points switched with Switch Witch having more power. "Attack!" Switch Witch pulled out a broom and flew at the blowfish. It ended up being destroyed with Siegrain's life points dropping to 3400. "Charm Witch, your turn!" Charm Witch pulled out a broom as well. She flew at Siegrain and kicked him with his life points dropping to 2800.
"Ryo as taken control of this duel! Talk about a girl power!" Marcy said.
"I'll place one card facedown and end my turn." Ryo said.
"It's my turn! I draw!" Siegrain said as he drew his next card, but he was in a predicament. 'With those witches abilities, this is a problem. He can take control of one of my monsters or switch their attack points. Which one do I take out?' He wondered as he wasn't sure which move was the right one.
"Siegrain sure is taking his time. What move is he going to make?" Marcy said. Siegrain looked over the cards he had in his hand and tried to find a way around this.
'Wait! Switch Witch's ability only works on my monster's attack points! I just need to get rid of Charm Witch first!' Siegrain thought as he thinks he might have found something. "I'm going to start by summoning my Deepsea Turtle to the field!" He summoned out a blue sea turtle with it having 800atk points. "Now, my turtle is going to attack that Charm Witch!" His turtle spun around and smashed itself against Charm Witch and took her out with Ryo's life points dropping to 3500. "Now I can activate my trap! I play Deepsea Rage! When a Deepsea monster destroys your monster, this trap card deals an additional 300points of damage!" His trap blasted Ryo with water and his life points dropped down to 3200. "It also allows me to take one water attribute monster in my deck and add it to my hand! I think I'll take my Deepsea Remora!" He took the card and add it to his hand.
"All that just for one card?" Ryo said. "You need to do better than that."
"Well, I do have a little defense." Siegrain said. "Deepsea Turtle allows me to switch a water attribute monster into defense mode, including himself." His turtle switched to defense mode with it having 2000def points. "With him in defense mode, you can't use Switch Witch's ability. She might have 300atk points now, but she'll only have 800 if she uses it."
"It sounds like Siegrain has found a way around Ryo's strategy. What is Ryo going to do now?" Marcy called. Ryo could see he was in a tough situation now.
"Ryo!" Ryo looked to the side and saw the girls were still cheering for them. Siegrain looked and spotted them.
"Hey, who are those girls? Friends of yours?" Siegrain questioned.
"Yeah. We look out for each other." Ryo said as he remembered it all well. "Where I come from, it's rough, but I learned looking out for each other helps us." Ryo remembers how he met each one of them. Rishi was out in the cold rain, Nova was starving, and Nene nearly in trouble with security. Ryo helped each one of them out. "In the slums, we nobodies have to take care of each other or else we can't survive. That's how I at least see it. I helped those girls out and we've been together ever since."
"Really? You're quite the guy." Siegrain said.
"You have no idea." Ryo said. "I'm a nice guy, but I'm a fierce duelist. Just watch. I draw!" Ryo drew his next card and it was just the card he wanted. "I'm summoning Witch's Familiar to the field!" A shadow appeared on the field and it jumped out with it taking the form of a black cat and had 100atk points. "Witch's Familiar ability now activates! I can now summon a witch from my graveyard or my hand!"
"Oh man! Are you going to summon out Charm Witch?!" Siegrain said.
"Nope. I'm summoning a different witch. I summon Retrospect Witch!" Ryo summoned out a third cute witch with her having teal hair and had 400atk points. "I now tune my level one Witch's Familiar with my level four Switch Witch and my level three Retrospect Witch!" His cat turned into a green circle and surrounded the two witches as they turned into stars with a beam shooting through. "Charm your way to victory! I synchro summon Witch Charmer!" He summoned out a man dressed in black with a cape and gloves and wore a witch's hat with him having 2400atk points.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Siegrain said.
"And the bad news just keeps coming." Ryo said. "I activate the spell known as Magic Allurement! When I have a spellcaster on the field, this spell switches the battle position of all your monsters." His turtle switched modes again and was back in attack mode. "I now activate my trap: Witch Revival! This trap allows me to summon two of my witches in my graveyard to defense mode just as long I negate their special abilities! Charm Witch and Switch Witch, come back!" Ryo brought the witches back with them having 600 and 0def points. "Next comes Witch Charmer's ability. He gains an additional 300atk points for each witch on the field."
"Oh boy." Siegrain said as he knew where this was going. Witch Charmer's attack points increased to 3000.
"Witch Charmer, attack that turtle!" Ryo said. Witch Charmer attack his turtle by unleashing a powerful blast of wind from his cape. It blasted Siegrain's turtle and destroyed it with his life points dropping to 600.
"Uh oh! Looks like Siegrain could be in real trouble now!" Marcy said.
"It's your turn now. Make your final move." Ryo said.
"You got it!" Siegrain said as he drew his next card and it was a card that could change this whole duel around. "Perfect. First, I'm going to activate Reeling Release! This spell card allows me to bring back Deepsea Blowfish!" One of his blowfish came back on the field. "That also allows me to special summon Deepsea Remora!" Siegrain summoned out his remora with it having 200atk points. "I now activate Star Increase!"
"What does that do?" Ryo questioned.
"When I have two monsters that are the same level, this increases their levels by one!" Siegrain said. "Now they're both level four! With that done, I can now overlay my Deepsea Blowfish with my Deepsea Remora!" A vortex opened up with the two fishes becoming blue energy and came together. "Watch as he rises from the sea, the one who rules over the mighty ocean! I xyz summon Neptunian Ruler!" Siegrain summoned out his ace monster as it came out with 2400atk points. "I'm also equipping him with Xyz Unit!"
"You mean it's a spell?!" Ryo said.
"That's right. It increases his attack points by 200 for each rank. Since my Neptunian Ruler is rank four, it gains 800atk points." Siegrain said as his ruler's attack points increased to 3200. "I now activate Neptunian Ruler's ability! By using one overlay unit, all water attribute monsters gain an additional 200atk points!" Neptunian Ruler used one of its units and now had 3400atk points. "Time to take out that charmer of yours. Attack with Waves of Neptune!" His monster was getting ready to attack.
"Pretty good, Siegrain. Just not good enough." Ryo said. "I activate Retrospect Witch's ability! By returning her from my graveyard to my deck, your monster loses 1000atk points!" Once he placed the card back in his deck, a dark aura formed around Neptunian Ruler with his attack points dropping to 2400. It was too late to call off the attack. Witch Charmer reflected the attack and blasted Neptunian Ruler with its own attack and caused Siegrain to lose all his life points.
"It's all over! Ryo is our first winner!" Marcy announced.
"He did it!" Nova said as all the girls were happy for him.
"Hey! How did you three get in here?!" They saw security found them and they had to make a run for it.

The Council
The council watched the duel unfolded and saw how Siegrain lost. They weren't all that impressive.
"Not that great for one of your knights." Maribel said. "He didn't even use that elemental summoning."
"That's because all of Siegrain's monsters are water. Elemental summoning requires monsters of different attributes." Renji said. "The tournament is just starting. Wait and see." The tournament has just begun. There is still much to see.

The Arena
Both of them came to a stop. It was a great duel that they both enjoyed. Ryo walked over to Siegrain and held out his hand.
"Nice duel." Ryo said. Siegrain reached out and shook it.
"It was a great duel." Siegrain said. "I thought I had you with my combo, but you pulled a fast one on me with that last card of yours. You got some serious skill with those witches. Best of luck." The two of them parted this as friends, but loosing is a problem in the city. What's going to happen to Siegrain now?
