"We're going to have a different duel. It's Shiro vs. Drewsin." Marcy announced. No one understood the change in duelists, but none of them really questioned it. The audience was just excited they get to see another duel. "Here's Shiro!" Shiro rode out on his runner and drove up to the starting line. "Now, here comes Drewsin!" Drewsin took Ristly's place in the match. Drewsin was now in a black suit and helmet, but the sleeve was torn off for his cast. He rode out on a teal runner and pulled up next to Shiro.
"Sorry, Shiro. The kid is off limits." Drewsin said.
"It doesn't matter to me." Shiro said. "It doesn't matter what opponent I'm facing. The tournament itself is the ideal opportunity."
"Ideal opportunity? For what?" Drewsin said.
"You're about to see. I'm going to use this duel to show everyone." Shiro said as he activated his runner.
"Duel Mode activated."
"Those two are ready to go! Let's get going then!" Marcy said. The countdown started. Both of them got ready to go. Once the countdown reached zero, they both took off.
"Let's duel!" They both said as they had 4000LP.
"You can have the first move, Drewsin." Shiro said.
"How kind of you." Drewsin said as he reached for his cards. "I'm going to start this duel by activating Shadow Summoning! When I have no monsters in my graveyard, I can summon a rank four or lower xyz monster. I can even take the top two cars from my deck and use them as overlay units."
"You mean you can xyz summon without actually xyz summoning?!" Shiro said as he found that surprising.
"You could put it that way. I'm summoning out Shadow Raider Archer!" Drewsin said. He summoned out a black armored archer with a skeletal horse and had 2100atk points. "I can also take the top two cards from my deck and give them to my monster as overlay units." He took the two cards from his deck and they became overlay units for his archer.

Yukin
"That appears to be the strength of Drewsin's deck." Yukin said. "He doesn't have monsters in his deck except xyz monsters. He's found a way to really use it. Still, it doesn't matter who wins in the end." Yukin didn't like how this was going to turn out. He snapped out of his thoughts when he saw his deck glowing. He pulled out two cards and saw sapphire Serapho and Shadow Shudamin were glowing. "What's with these two?"

The Duel
"For my next move, I activate Shadow Raider Gathering!" Drewsin said. "This gives me a Shadow Raider Ride token for every open monster space on my field!" Drewsin was given four dark knights riding dark horses on the field and each one had 1200atk points. "I place one card facedown and that ends my turn!"
"What an opening!" Marcy said. "Not only did Drewsin pull out an xyz summon without any monsters, but he managed to get five monsters out!" That was a pretty impressive start. "Let's see how Shiro handle this."
"Me alone? No." Shiro said. "It's time for us all to rise up!"
"What are you talking about?" Drewsin said as he got everyone's attention.
"The time has come for this city to change! We nobodies have been pushed down and ridiculed by you higher-ups!" Shiro said. "It's time for that to change! If you higher-ups won't accept us, we'll rebel and rise up!"
"A rebellion?!" Drewsin said as all of them were surprised everyone.
"That's right." Shiro said. "I'm sick of the higher-ups acting like they're superior to us! They're like tyrants, but I'll be the one to take the lead to bring their reign down! I'm not fighting alone! This is for all of us who have been pushed down by them! It's our turn!" Shiro drew his card as he truly believed he was fighting for everyone. "I'll lead the charge by summoning Colonist Striker!" Colonist Striker flew out on the field with it being a humanoid bee with a spear in its hands and had 1500atk points. "This insect represents us nobodies. We've been pushed down and squashed by the higher-ups. Alone, we're not strong enough unless we come together. That's why I'm activating Colonist Colony! This allows me to summon another Colonist every turn!"
"I have a feeling this guy is really going to bug me." Drewsin said.
"Join the battle, Colonist Lasher!" Shiro said. He summoned a second humanoid bee with it having a whip with a stinger on the end and it had 1700atk points. "Time for battle! Colonist Striker, take out one of his Shadow Raider Ride tokens!" His striker flew at one of his monsters and had its spear ready to strike.
"Not so fast, Shiro! I'm activating my archer's ability!" Drewsin said. "By using one overlay unit, your monster loses 300atk points during battle!" One unit turned into an arrow as his archer pulled the string of his bow back and shot it. It hit the bee with its attack points dropping to 1200. "That means they'll both be destroyed."
"No they won't!" Shiro said. "Colonist Lasher's ability causes your monster to lose attack points as well when a fellow bee attacks!" His lasher whipped at the token and its attack points dropped to 800.
"In that case, I still have my trap!" Drewsin said. "I'm activating Darkness Fury! Every time a dark-attribute monster is destroyed, you're taking damage of 400!" Shiro's striker still managed to destroyed Drewsin's token with his life points dropping to 3600, but his trap blasted Shiro as his life points dropped to 3600 too.
"That won't keep me down!" Shiro said. "Colonist Lasher, your turn! Activate your ability and attack another token!" His lasher activated its ability again and knocked away another token's attack points to 800.
"I'll just use my archer's ability again to weaken the damage!" Drewsin said. His archer fired another arrow and hit Colonist Lasher's with it now having 1300atk points. Still, Drewsin's token was still destroyed with his life points dropping to 3100. "Darkness Fury now activates! You take damage again!" His trap blasted Shiro again as his life points dropped to 3200.
"It's a constant back and forth of counters and damage! This is getting good!" Marcy announced as people were getting into this duel.
"No matter how much damage you bring upon us, we won't break anymore!" Shiro said. "I place one card facedown to end our turn! The time has come! The time for us to rebel has come! It's time we take back the city and show those higher-ups that we're the stronger ones!" Shiro was trying to join people to help in his cause...and it was working. Some of the higher-ups were starting to get nervous.

Ryo
'Is Shiro right?' Ryo wondered as he watched the duel. 'Is a rebellion the answer? I know we've had it rough, but I'm not sure if this is the way to go. I know he never liked how things in the city worked, but I didn't think he would try something like this.' Ryo seems to be the only one not sure if this is the way and he's a nobody too.

Yukin
As for Yukin, he didn't understand what was going on with his cards. They were glowing and something was coming over him. He could feel something was different.
"What's going on?" Yukin questioned as he could feel the sensation duelists get in a duel. "It's as if I can feel the adrenaline, the wind... It's almost like I'm the one dueling. How can that be?" The same thing was happening to Huo, but he was so caught up in the duel and had much excitement that he didn't even notice.

The Duel
"I'm sorry, Shiro. I can't allow you to start a rebellion." Drewsin said.
"Is that so? Understand that I won't allow anyone to get in my way. It's happening and you can't stop it!" Shiro said as he was determined to go through with this. "You have no idea how hard we have it."
"You're right. I don't know what you've been through, but I do know how it feels to try and survive." Drewsin said for he knew fully well what that's like. "The problem is that this is your own city, not some invading army. My home was torn apart, but I'm not going to let you make the same mistake others have made. It's my turn!" He drew his card. Being more levelheaded, Drewsin knows he needs to stop this. "I'm going to start by activating Pot of Greed! This will allow me to draw two more cards!" Once he played that card, he drew two cards that could help him. He put them off for now. "Next, I'm activating Rank-Up Shadow Raider Tribute!"
"What is that?" Shiro questioned.
"This card allows me to rebuild the overlay network with an xyz monster and summon a monster that's two ranks higher!" Drewsin said. "However, I must release two Shadow Raiders to do that. That's why I'm going to release my last two tokens and rank-up my rank four Shadow Raider Archer! Go, rank-up xyz evolution!" He released his two tokens and the overlay network was built once again. His archer turned into dark energy and entered the vortex. "Watch as he flies through the night and brings chaos and mayhem! I summon rank six Shadow Raider Dragoon!" Drewsin summoned out a new menacing knight as it rode a black dragon. It also had 2400atk points.
"That is one mean looking dragon, if I do say." Marcy said.
"I'll give you a showing of what he can really do." Drewsin said. "I activate Dragoon's ability! I use his overlay unit to destroy your Colonist Lasher!" The overlay unit entered the mouth of the dragon and unleashed a blue flame. He blasted the bug and destroyed it. "With that out of the way, Dragoon can attack with full power! Attack Colonist Striker with Shadow Burn!" His raider flew in the air and came down at Colonist Striker. The dragon breathed flames against the bug with it flying down and the knight slashing a sword against the bug to finish it. It's destruction caused Shiro's life points to drop to 2300.
"Yikes! That is one hot dragon! Shiro certainly felt it!" Marcy said.
"It won't stop us!" Shiro called as he placed his face-down. "I now activate the Colonist Reinforcements! When a colonist is destroyed, this spell allows me to summon a copy of that monster from my deck! That's why I'm bringing out a second Colonist Striker!" He summoned out a second Colonist Striker on the field.
"I place two face-downs and end my turn!" Drewsin said. 'One of my face-downs is Shadow Raider Final attack. When this card is destroyed, it deals damage when I have a Shadow Raider on the field equal to its attack points. If I can keep Shadow Raider Dragoon on the field to use this card, he'll lose all his life points.' He thought.
"It's our turn!" Shiro said as he drew his next card. "The time has come for us to rise up! This victory will be the first, the stepping stone to our rebellion!"
"Do you honestly think you're going to win already?" Drewsin said.
"Just watch! Rise to the field, Colonist Clutch!" Shiro said as he summoned out a bee that has metal pinchers instead of a stinger with it also having 500atk points. "These two monsters will show what we can do when we come together and stand against those who wish to stand in our way! Colonist Clutch can have its level become the same as another insect as long as I drop that monster's attack points to zero!" His bee clutched to Colonist Striker. Even though Striker's attack points dropped to zero, Colonist Clutch's level went from one to four. "I now tune my level four Colonist Clutch with Colonist Striker!"
"Here it comes." Drewsin said as he readied himself. His first bee turned into four green circles with Striker becoming four stars. "Face those who threaten the colony! I synchro summon Colonist Jinbei the Lancer!" He summoned out a large humanoid bee in black armor and carried a large stinger on its arm. He also had 2800atk points. "Jinbei, attack his raider with Fierce Sting!" Jinbei flew right at Drewsin's monster. It pierced right through with Drewsin's life points dropping to 2700.
"My Darkness Fury is still in effect!" Drewsin said as his trap blasted Shiro again and his life points dropped to 1900.
"It doesn't matter! Jinbei is able to attack a second time!" Shiro said. "Jinbei, end this!" Jinbei flew at Drewsin and struck him with his stinger as his life points dropped to zero and his runner stopping.
"It's over and done! Drewsin is out and Shiro is still in!" Marcy announced with the crowd cheering.
"This is just the start! The time will come when we will win the city!" Shiro announced. The higher-ups are getting nervous while the nobodies are getting pumped. As for Drewsin, he pulled out the second card he had. It was Dust Tornado. With it, he could have destroyed his own trap and won the duel. Why didn't he?

Yukin
Yukin was somehow able to feel the duel go on. He barely understands what happened, but it left him with a strange feeling.
"That was weird." Yukin said. "Not only did I feel like I was dueling, but I could somehow feel that Drewsin was holding back. Why would he do that?" A lot of strange things are going on...and it's far from over.
