Yukin was a little puzzled over what happened to him earlier. It was as if he could feel what was going on with Drewsin. That meant that he knew Drewsin held back on the last turn and let Shiro win.

'I don't get it. How could I tell what Drewsin was feeling in that duel? Why do I feel like he was holding back?' Yukin wondered as he stared at his two cards. 'What's the deal with these cards? Is there some connection between me and Drewsin?'

"That was a fun duel we just witnessed, but it's time we moved to the next match of the first round. We've got the lovely Zoey against the returning and mighty Jirobo!" Marcy announced.

"Zoey?!" Yukin said as that caused him to snap out of his thoughts. Siri was hoping for the best for Zoey. Huo was hoping all the advice he gave her really works.

The Arena

Zoey rode out on the field with her own pink and white runner. She drove up to the starting line. She was able to get use to the ride, but her mind kept focusing on Yukin.

'I know I should duel, but I can't shake this feeling that something is wrong with Yukin.' Zoey thought as she could just feel that Yukin wasn't feeling like himself. 'Maybe I can use this duel as a way to get through to him.' As for Jirobo, he drove up himself in a mustard-colored runner with him wearing the same colored outfit with a black helmet. Jirobo was having second thoughts when he saw this opponent.

'It's so sad that my opponent is a young lady. I hate to send her to the Underground Garbage, but I guess I don't have a choice.' Jirobo thought. "I'm sorry." The way he apologized like that made Zoey a little nervous.

"Why is he apologizing?" Zoey questioned.

"Jirobo has a history of being a famous duelist. It looks like he's trying to reclaim his position, but we'll see if Zoey has what it takes to beat him." Marcy said. The runners switched to their Duel Mode and the countdown started. When it reached zero, both runners just took off.

"Let's duel!" They both said with a little fear from the force. The duel started with them having 4000LP.

"Here goes nothing." Zoey said as she was making the first move. "I'll start this duel by summoning Flower Fairy Iris!" She started the duel by summoning her flower fairy. It flew out with her having 1300atk points. "Next, I'm going to activate Fairies Garden! As long as this spell remains on the field, my flower fairies gain an extra 600atk points until my next turn!" When she played that spell, Iris' attack points increased to 1900. "That ends my turn."

"Sounds like the arena is going to smell like lovely flowers." Marcy said.

"Not bad, but you're going to need more than that if you wish to defeat me. It's my turn!" Jirobo said. He drew his card, but he felt bad since for what the outcome might be. "I'll start my turn by summoning Card-Guard Chariot to the field!" He summoned his plate on the field with it having 200atk points. "When Chariot is summoned to the field, I can summon a tuner monster to the field. I summon Card-Guard Strength to the field!" He summoned out a second plate with it having 200atk points as well. "I'm not stopping there. When I have a Card-Guard tuner monster on the field, I am free to summon Card-Guard Empress!" He summoned out a third plate that had an empress on it with it having 200atk points as well. "I can now tune my level two Strength with my Empress and Chariot!" His strength plate broke into two circles and surrounded the two of them becoming stars. "Obtain my victory with a sudden surprise! I synchro summon Card-Guard Ace Hole!" He summoned out his warrior with it having 2000atk points.

"Impressive that he synchro summoned, but I do believe Ace Hole isn't able to attack on the turn it's summoned." Marcy said.

"That isn't really a problem. I activate the spell known as Card-Guard Turnover! This spell card grants a Card-Guard synchro monster an extra 300atk points for each monster that was used to synchro summon it!" Jirobo said and his monster's attack points rose to 2900.

"What good does that do when you can't attack?" Zoey questioned.

"Because it also nullifies Ace-Hole's abilities. That means he can attack." Jirobo said. That wasn't good for Zoey. "Ace Hole, attack Flower Fairy Iris with Twin Win Slash!" Ace Hole took it's two swords and slashed against Iris. She was destroyed with Zoey's life points dropping to 3000LP. "That ends my turn."

"Zoey had a strong start, but Jirobo countered it." Marcy said.

"That was a pretty good move, but I'm not going to let you win so easily." Zoey said as she treated this like a regular game. "It's my turn now!" She drew her card and got herself ready for what she has planned. "Iris' ability activates! She was sent to the graveyard because of battle. On the next turn after that happens, I can take one of my fairies and add it to my hand! I'll go with Flower Fairy Princess Lotus!" She took the card from her deck and added it to her hand. "There's more! When I have no monsters on the field, I can summon Lotus without a tribute!" She summoned out a bigger fairy wearing a dress designed like a lotus flower with flowing white hair. She also had 2300atk points.

"Zoey is summoning out another beautiful flower, but will it wilt at the wrath of Jirobo?" Marcy said.

"Lotus has another ability! When she is summoned to the field, I can take another card from my deck and add it to my hand!" Zoey said as she already chose the card. "The card I chose is Polymerization!"

"Polymerization?! Does that mean you're about to fusion summon?!" Jirobo said.

"You better believe it!" Zoey said. "I'm fusing Flower Fairy Rose with Flower Fairy Princess Aubrieta!" She took her two monsters in her hand and began to merge them together. "Watch as the beauty of an aubrieta and a rose merge and make this deal close! I fusion summon Flower Fairy Princess Azalea!" She summoned out Azalea as she came out with 2500atk points. "When Azalea is summoned, her special ability activates! All cards in your graveyard are banished! After that, she gains 200atk points for each card while your monster loses that amount!" Azalea used her powers and banished the three cards Jirobo had. When that happened, her power increases to 3100 while Ace Hole's dropped to 2300. "Next, I'm activating Fairies Garden to give both of my monsters extra power!" When she activated her spell, their attack points increased to 3700 and 2900. "Time for some battle fun! Azalea, attack with Spring Flurry!"

"Not so fast! By sending my equip spell to the graveyard, Ace Hole can't be destroyed in battle!" Jirobo said as he discarded the card.

"That just means you're taking more damage!" Zoey said. Without that spell, Ace Hole's attack points dropped down to 1400. The attack of petals and wind blasted Jirobo's monster and hit Jirobo with his life points dropping to 1700. "Lotus, your turn with Silver Breeze!" Lotus attacked next with a blast of wind and white petals. The attack hit and Jirobo lost even more life points with them dropping to 200. The crowd was not just impressed with her dueling, but they thought her monsters looked beautiful while they were doing it.

"Jirobo has taken a big hit, but he surely must have something planned if he wants to keep that monster around." Marcy said.

"I don't know what you're up to, but I guess I'll find out soon enough." Zoey said. "It's your turn now. Since it's the end of my turn, Azalea's attack points drop to normal." Azalea's attack points dropped to 3100 and it was the end of her turn.

"My turn!" Jirobo said as he drew his next card. It's a card that will give him the edge, but he doesn't like that Zoey has to lose. "I summon Card-Guard Fool to the field!" He summoned another plate with it having 200atk points. "Next, I'm activating Card-Guard Enrichment! This spell allows me to use my Card-Guard as a tuner monster. Now, I can tune my level two Card-Guard Fool with my level six Card-Guard Ace Hole!" His plate broke into two green circles and surrounded his warrior and broke into six stars with a beam shooting through. "Rise and bring my victory! I synchro summon Card-Guard Royal Flush!" He summoned out a samurai-like warrior dressed in red and black. It also had 3000atk points. "I'm sorry for this! Royal Flush destroy Flower Fairy Princess Lotus! Crimson Black Slash!" His warrior drew a sword with red and black energy swirling around it. It came down at her monster and destroyed it with Zoey's life points dropping to 2900.

"Is that all you got?" Zoey said.

"I'm afraid not. Royal Flush's ability activates. After it destroys a monster, it can destroy one more." Jirobo said. "After that, you take damage equal to it's original attack points! Destroy her Azalea!" Royal Flush attacked Azalea and destroyed her. When that happened, Zoey's life points took a hit again as they dropped down to 400.

"This duel is almost tied up! We might have a winner soon enough!" Marcy said.

"That was a pretty good move!" Zoey said as she was smiling. Jirobo thought that was rather strange.

"You enjoyed that?" Jirobo questioned.

"Of course. It was a nice combo." Zoey said.

"Why do you seem happy?" Jirobo said.

"This is suppose to be just a game." Zoey said. "You see, I have this friend and I just know he's going through a hard time. I want him to remind him why he started dueling. He wants to uphold what his father taught him, and to find answers. I want him to know that I'll be there for him no matter what happens. That's why I duel. I duel for him. We have friends and family waiting for us back home that I'm sure they would love to see us again. When we get home, it will be just like how it was. No matter what happens, I want him to know that I'll be there for him." Yukin could hear her and knew she was talking about him. Jirobo was rather touched by what she just said. Soon enough, he started putting the pieces together.

'Wait a minute. Could she be the friend that Yukin is looking for?' Jirobo wondered.

"It's my turn now! I draw!" Zoey said as she put all her faith in this one turn. "I activate Aubrieta's ability! By returning her from my graveyard to my deck, I can summon two Flower Fairies from my graveyard!" She said as she took her card back. "Come out Flower Fairy Rose and Iris!" She summoned out her two fairies as they came out with 1400 and 1300atk points. "Next, I activate Mystical Space Typhoon! With this, I'm destroying Fairies Garden!"

"You're destroying your own spell?!" Jirobo said. A twister came around and destroyed Zoey's spell.

"It's so I can activate its second effect! By removing it from my graveyard, I can fusion summon!" Zoey said. "I fuse Rose and Iris!" The two of them began to fuse together. "With an iris and a rose, a beautiful melody will be composed! I fusion summon Flower Fairy Princess Bellflower!" Zoey fusion summoned her ace monster as it came out with 1000atk points.

"How can that monster stop my Royal Flush?" Jirobo said.

"She'll help me win this duel! When she's in battle, she can't be destroyed and you take all the damage!" Zoey said.

"I take the damage?!" Jirobo said.

"This is over! Bellflower, attack with Harmonious Wave!" Zoey said. Bellflower unleashed a powerful wave that blasted against Royal Flush. Jirobo was the one that took all the damage as the last of his life points dropped to zero.

"It's over and done! Zoey is our winner!" Marcy announced with everyone loving how the duel went. The two of them pulled over to speak.

"Thank you for the duel." Zoey said.

"It was a pleasure to duel you. Yukin is lucky to have a friend like you." Jirobo said.

"You know Yukin?!" Zoey said with surprise.

"Yes. I'm sure your message got through." Jirobo said.

"I really hope so." Zoey said as she had hoped Yukin is much better now. Jirobo was starting to see something else as he leaned closer to her.

"I'm guessing this Yukin is more than a friend." Jirobo said. Zoey's face started to blush when he said that. She just had to smack him for that.

"Now, I'm sorry." Zoey said.

Yukin

Zoey's message managed to get to Yukin. He could tell that she was going to help him through anything they go through. It did make him feel better.

"Thanks, Zoey." Yukin said. It was time for him to buckle down and get serious. Especially with now.

"We'll be moving to the next duel! We've got Yukin returning against Officer Dungus!" Marcy announced. It was now Yukin's time to duel and he isn't going to lose this time.

Officer Dungus

"Do you understand, Officer Dungus?" Rojin said as he was speaking to him over their communication system.

"Yes, sir." Officer Dungus said.

"Your last duel against this Huo did not do you well." Rojin said. "Defeat this Yukin and you'll be back on the force." Rojin seems to have an interest in Yukin. He's trying to see if Yukin is a nuisance that should be eliminated or something that he can use.

"Don't worry, sir. This Yukin is going down. He'll wish he never came here." Officer Dungus said. As fun as the last duel was, this one is going to get serious.
