"I hope you're ready. It might be getting dark, but the fun and excitement still goes one." Marcy announced. "The last duel will be between Shun and Klaus." Shun was getting himself ready for his next duel. As he was, he had his suspicions about Klaus.

'I don't trust you, Klaus.' Shun thought. 'How is it a "skilled" duelist like yourself has never been known until now? You might claim you're from LID, but I checked the database when I had the chance. I checked around with other students and I could tell that the records and stats you had didn't exactly match with other LID students. Either way, I'm going to find out who you really are.'

Klaus

Klaus was getting himself ready for his duel against Shun. He's well aware of how fierce a duelist Shun really is. He's going to have to be careful.

'Shun is a great duelist.' Klaus thought. 'On top of that, he's pretty sharp. He might uncover that I'm really from Promin Academy, if he hasn't already or if he's suspicious. I better end this duel quickly.' Both of them were getting ready for this duel. It's going to be one of the more fierce ones.

The Arena

"No more waiting around!" Marcy announced. "The last duel of the first round is about to begin! Let's have it start now! Here's Klaus!" Klaus rode out on the runner. He's was given a lavender suit and wore a purple helmet as he rode out on a purple runner. He kept up the act as he waved out to the crowd and bowed to them. "Now, here's Shun!" Shun rode out as well as his suit, helmet, and runner were all navy blue. He didn't care one bit about the crowd.

"Hey, Shun. We're on the same team, but let's make this a great duel." Klaus said. All Shun did was glare right at him. "What's that look about?"

"We'll find out." Shun said. Klaus was already getting suspicious that Shun was on to him, but he had to try and keep his act.

"No more waiting around! Time to start the duel!" Marcy said. Both of them activated their runners. When they did, the countdown started. The last duel of the first round is about to start. Once the countdown reached zero, they both took off.

"Let's duel!" They both said as their duel was starting.

"If you don't mind, I think I'll make the first move." Klaus said as he reached for his cards. "I'm going to start by summoning Elemental Hero Lady Heat to the field!" He summoned out his monster as she flew out in a blaze of fire and had 1300atk points. "I'm also going to place one card facedown to end my turn! Since we have reached the end of this turn, Lady Heat's ability activates! You take damage for each Elemental Hero I have out. I might have only one, but you lose 200LP! Better than nothing!" Lady Heat threw fireballs at Shun and did some damage as his life points dropped to 3800.

"And just like that, Klaus has already begun the attacks!" Marcy said. "It might have been little damage, but he was right. It was better than nothing."

"It's my turn!" Shun said as he drew his card. "One way or another, I'm going to find the truth!"

"Excuse me?" Klaus said.

"I don't believe you are who you say you are." Shun said. "I'm going to find out the truth and expose you! This duel will tell me all that I need to know." Klaus didn't like the sound of that.

Yukin

Yukin and everyone else was watching the duel unfold. They all heard what Shun claimed and wondered what he was talking about?

"What does Shun mean?" Yukin said. He wanted to believe in his allies, but there wasn't much he could do. "I'm getting a bad feeling about this duel."

The Duel

'This isn't good. He's already suspicious of me.' Klaus thought. 'I better end this fast or I'm going to be in big trouble.'

"I'm going to start by summoning Battlize-Raptor: Jet Osprey!" Shun said as he summoned out his Osprey with it having 1700atk points. "I now activate Jet Osprey's ability! When it's summoned, I can summon another level four or lower Battlize-Raptor from my deck! I summon Battlize-Raptor: Strike Hawk!" Shun summoned out his hawk as it came out with 1600atk points.

"Strike Hawk?! You didn't summon a second osprey?" Klaus said as he found that very strange.

"We'll get to that soon enough." Shun said. "With Strike Hawk's ability, I can add a second Strike Hawk to my hand as backup." He took the second Strike Hawk, but had something else planned. "I now activate Mysteries Untold!"

"What does that do?!" Klaus said.

"You might not be around long enough to find out." Shun said. "Battlize-Raptor Jet Osprey, attack his "hero" now!" Jet Osprey flew at Lady Heat and smashed against her. She was destroyed and Klaus' life points dropped to 3600. "With her out of the way, Strike Hawk is attacking you directly!"

"Not quite! I play Hero Signal!" Klaus said as he activated his trap and a signal shined in the sky.

"Look at that! This duel might be seeing the light!" Marcy said.

"My trap allows me to summon a level four or lower Elemental Hero from my deck when one of my monsters is destroyed." Klaus said. "I'm summoning out Elemental Hero Woodsman in defense mode!" He summoned out his second monster, a man made of wood, with him having 2000def points.

"Klaus just made a good counter." Marcy said. "With that big woodsman in the way, Shun can't get to Klaus' life points. On top of that, it has a lot of defense points."

"You can't hide forever." Shun said. "For now, I end my turn."

'Strange. I wonder why he didn't xyz summon.' Klaus thought. 'It must have something to do with his Mysteries Untold. I better get rid of his two monsters before he can pull off whatever he's planning.' "It's my turn now!" He drew his next card and had something else readied. "I now activate Woodsman's ability! He allows me to take a certain spell card from my deck and add it to my hand."

"What certain spell?" Shun said.

"I think you might know." Klaus said as he showed it was Polymerization. "Next, I activate Polymerization! I'm going to fuse Elemental Hero Ice Edge with Elemental Hero Heat!" He took two heroes from his hand and began to fuse them together. "With heroes making a compromise, this monster shall rise! I fusion summon Elemental Hero Sunrise!" Klaus summoned out his new hero as it rose with 2500atk points. "Next, his special ability activates. When Sunrise is summoned, I can take Miracle Fusion from my deck and add it to my hand!" He drew the card and added it in.

"Not even a miracle will save you!" Shun said.

"We'll see about that. Sunrise has another ability." Klaus said. "My heroes gain 200atk points for each monster with different attributes." His monsters grew stronger as their attack points rose to 2900 and 1400. "Now, I'm going to switch Woodsman to attack mode!" He switched his monsters modes and was now ready for a fight. "Time for some battling fun! Sunrise, attack Strike Hawk!" His hero attacked as it took the blades on its arms and unleashed a series of rays. Shun's monster was destroyed and Shun's life points dropped to 2500. "Woodsman, your turn! Attack Jet Osprey!"

"What's this?! Why is Klaus attacking when his monster is weaker?!" Marcy questioned.

"Did I say Jet Osprey? How foolish of me." Klaus said. "Sunrise's second ability activates! Since another hero has declared an attack, he can destroy one card on the field!" Sunrise fired another ray and destroyed Jet Osprey. "That means that Woodsman is free to attack you directly!" Woodsman went on the attack as he smashed his fist against Shun and his life points dropped further to 1100.

"Shun is in real trouble now. How is he going to get out of this? The heroes always prevail in the end, but can Shun prove that wrong?" Marcy said.

"It's your turn, Shun. Good luck." Klaus said.

"You be careful not to mock me!" Shun said as he drew his next card. "Mysteries Untold now activates! If I didn't xyz summon last turn, I can now summon any xyz monster from my extra deck! I can even use any two monsters from my hand, field, or graveyard! Rise and take flight, Battlize-Raptor Burning Falcon!" He summoned out his monster again as it flew out with 1000atk points. "I can now take Strike Hawk and Jet Osprey in my graveyard and they become overlay units!" He took his two monsters and turned them to overlay units for his monster.

"This isn't good! I know what that does!" Klaus said. "This must be why he didn't xyz summon earlier. He was trying to bring this one out."

"You should be afraid!" Shun said. "I activate Burning Falcon's special ability! I use one overlay unit to destroy your Sunrise!" Burning Falcon took one units and had its feathered-drones come off. They all fired a series of lasers and destroyed Sunrise. "Burning Falcon also gains half of Sunrise's attack points! What's more is that without him, your Woodsman loses attack points!" A change in power occurred as his falcon's attack points increased to 2450 while Woodsman's dropped to 1000. "Now attack and destroy his only monster with Blaze Assault!" The drones lined up and they each fired a laser. Woodsman was destroyed with Klaus' life points dropping to 2150.

"That looked like a harsh blast!" Marcy said. "This Shun isn't messing around."

"That's only the beginning. For now, I end my turn." Shun said.

"My turn! I draw!" Klaus said as he drew his next card. "I summon Elemental Hero Blazeman to the field!" He summoned out a new fiery hero as it came out with 1200atk points. "When Blazeman is summoned, I can take Polymerization from my graveyard and add it to my hand!" He took Polymerization back to his hand, but it wasn't going to stay for long. "I now activate Polymerization and fuse Blazeman with Elemental Hero Shadow Mist!" He took his two heroes and fused them together. "This hero is the opposite of light, but he is also a chaotic blight! I fusion summon Elemental Hero Escuridao!" Klaus fusion summoned again. He summoned out a new monster of darkness with it having 2500atk points.

"Something tells me that monster is more fitting for him." Shun said.

...

Siri

"That is one scary monster! I'm guessing it's one of those DARK heroes." Marcy said for a pun. That aside, Siri watched the duel unfold. She watched Klaus' moves and was seeing something strange.

"The way Klaus is dueling... He's pushing with relentless attacks and fierce power." Siri said. "It's almost like... On no! Could he be...?!" It would seem that Siri is starting to see the truth.

The Duel

"Shadow Mist's ability now activates!" Klaus said. "I can now take an Elemental Hero from my deck and add it to my hand! I think the one I'll take is Ocean!" He said as he took another card. "There's more. Escuridao gains 100atk points for every hero in my graveyard. There's a total of seven. That means he gains 700atk points!" Escuridao's attack points increased to 3200. "Sorry, but this duel is over! Escuridao, attack his falcon Dark Diffusion!" His monster unleashed a stream of darkness. If this attack works, Shun will lose and the truth might never be uncovered.
