The third duel of the second round has begun with it being Shun and Ryo. Ryo's taken the lead as he has Witch Charmer with 2400atk points, two face-downs, and all his life points. However, it could all change rather quickly. Shun has 3200LP, but he just summoned out his signature monster: Battlize-Raptor: Mach Falcon.
"Shun may have pulled out an xyz summon, but that big birdy doesn't appear that strong." Marcy said.
"I activate Mach Falcon's special ability!" Shun said as his monster took one overlay unit. "By using one overlay unit, my falcon gains attack points equal to all of your monster's attack points!" His falcon absorbed some power from Witch Charmer and its attack points increased to 2500. "Mach Falcon, destroy Witch Charmer with Blazing Mach Strike!" Mach Falcon ignited flames and flew at Witch Charmer.
"That bird's cooking. That charmer is about to get burned." Marcy announced.
"I play my trap: Kiss of the Charmer!" Ryo said.
"You've got to be kidding." Shun said as he couldn't believe a card was actually named that.
"I know. The name doesn't sound great, but the effects are worth it." Ryo said. "This trap equips to Witch Charmer. Now, Witch Charmer can copy the effects of a witch in my graveyard. I choose Invisible Witch! Now, he can't be destroyed in battle!" Mach Flacon swooped in and smashed against Witch Charmer, but it managed to survive the attack with Ryo's life points dropping down to 3900. "I guess your big bad birdy isn't that bad."
"Wrong again. Mach Falcon is capable of attacking every monster on your field!" Shun said.
"Are you serious?!" Ryo said as he wasn't expecting that.
"If your Witch Charmer can't be destroyed, I'll just keep attacking until your life points drop to nothing!" Shun said as his Mach Falcon came back around and was going in for another attack.
"In that case, I'm activating my second trap! Go, Dispersion Wave!" Ryo said as his second trap activated. 'I was hoping to use this for later, but it's all I can do to make sure I don't lose.' "By returning one monster from my extra deck back to where it came from, I can summon one of the monsters that was used to summon it from the graveyard!" With the power of the trap, Witch Charmer went back to Ryo's extra deck and he summoned out a monster. "I'm bringing out Invisible Witch in defense mode!" His witch flew out on the field with her having 1000def points. "As an added bonus, I can draw one card!" He drew another card, but there was more. "Go ahead and attack some more if you want, but since my witch is in defense mode, I won't be taking any damage."
"Mach Falcon, stop your attack!" Shun said as the attack was called off.
"Looks like Shun's attack has been stopped. That's actually good. It would have been a long series of attacks." Marcy said.
"I place one card facedown and end my turn!" Shun said.

Yukin
When Yukin was captured, he was taken to Rojin. The two of them were watching together, but Yukin was watching himself around Rojin.
"I had a feeling it wouldn't work like that. It would have been too settled." Rojin said.
"Just you wait. Shun's just getting started." Yukin said as he knows what Shun is like. As they watched the duel go on, Yukin looked to the screen as the two of them were about to pass a bridge. Yukin noticed Zoey on the bridge with the girls. Rojin noticed himself as well, but didn't say anything.

The Duel
Shun and Ryo rode towards the bridge the girls were on. They zipped right by with the girls feeling the force generated from them. It was like a strong a strong just of wind.
"Those two are really pouring it on out there." Zoey said.
"I just hope Ryo is going to be okay." Rishi said as all the girls were feeling the same. Zoey knew what Shun was like and is hoping he doesn't take it too far.
"It's my turn!" Ryo said as he drew Charm Witch. "I'm summoning Charm Witch to the field!" He summoned out his purple-head with her having 600atk points. "Now I'm using her special ability! I can now control one of your monsters until the end of the turn!" She blew a kiss with a heart landing on Shun's falcon and it switched to his side. "Once I switch Invisible Witch to attack mode, you're getting hit by all three monsters!" His witch switched to attack mode with her having 1100atk points. All three monsters attacked Shun at once until all his life points dropped to 1400.
"That's what I call a trifecta of attacks!" Marcy announced.
"If you're expecting to get your falcon back, don't bother." Ryo said. "I activate my Arcane Library spell! When I have two witches on the field, plus a third monster, I can return them all to the deck." All three monsters returned to the deck and that meant that Shun's falcon is back in the extra deck. "Thanks to that, I get to draw until I'm holding five cards!" He drew some cards until he was now holding five cards.
"Not only did Ryo managed to attack with three monsters, but he got rid of Shun's monster and got a fresh new hand! That's not too shabby." Marcy announced.
"I place two cards facedown and end my turn!" Ryo said.
"You might have some skill, but I won't be defeated until I reach my goal!" Shun said.
"What goal? Does it have something to do with Promin Academy?" Ryo asked.
"Yes. They took everything from me! I won't be defeated until they're destroyed!" Shun declared. Seeing that rage and anger had Ryo think of Shiro and his feelings towards the higher-ups. It was as if Ryo was realizing how strong Shiro's hatred was towards them and he didn't like any of what he saw at all. It looks like Shun is heading down the same way as him. "It's my turn!" Shun drew his next card and readied himself. "I'm going to start by playing my trap! I play Rank-Up Destructive Force!"
"That doesn't sound too good." Ryo said.
"It's not, for you!" Shun said. "This trap allows me to send one xyz monster in my extra deck to my graveyard so that I can summon one that's one rank higher! I send Burning Falcon to the graveyard to summon Battlize-Raptor Rebellious Eagle!" Shun summoned out his eagle as it flew out with 2000atk points.
'I remember that beast from his last duel.' Ryo thought. 'It needs overlay units to drain my monster's attack points or make itself stronger. It doesn't have any overlay units now, so did he summon the monster just for its power? Well, it doesn't matter. I still have Switch Witch in my hand. Once I play her, I can switch the attack points and deal the final blow.'
"I now activate the equip spell: Raptor's Coating!" Shun said with a coating formed around his eagle. "As long as my eagle is equipped with this card, my eagle is immune to all card effects!"
"Are you kidding me?!" Ryo said.
"I never joke around! Attack! Strike him down!" Shun ordered. His eagle had electricity course through it and fired a powerful blast. Ryo got hit pretty hard by the attack as his life points dropped to 1900. That one attack did put some insight into Ryo.
'Oh man. This guy really isn't messing around.' Ryo thought. 'He'll take down anyone that gets in his way. Is Shiro just like that? Were we wrong? Man, I can't tell who the bad guys are anymore.'
"I place one face-down and end my turn!" Shun said.
'I don't know which side is right, but I do know that if these guys secretly are working with Rojin, I have to stop them.' Ryo thought as he tried his best to keep his focus on the duel. "It's my turn!" He drew his next card and got ready for this. "I'm going to start by playing my Monster Reincarnation spell! By discarding one card, I can take a monster in my graveyard and add it to my hand!" He discarded one monster and grabbed another. "The monster I pick is Witch's Familiar, and I'm summoning it!" He summoned out his cat again as it came out with 100atk points. "I now activate my cat's special ability! When this cat is normal summoned, I can bring out a witch to come and play. When the cat isn't away, the witch will play. I'm summoning Telepath Witch!" He summoned out another witch with her having green hair in a braid and glasses. She also had 300atk points. "Next, I'm activating the card I discarded. My most powerful witch: Memory Witch! By banishing a card from my graveyard, I can summon her from the graveyard!" One more witch came when he banished Monster Reincarnation. He summoned another witch with her hair color strawberry blonde and she also had 1500atk points.
"Summon all the witches you want. No spell is going to save you!" Shun said.
"Boy, you really need to chill." Ryo said. As the two of them were riding, the bridge was coming up again with the girls spotting them.
"Here they come!" Nene said.
"They might not be strong apart, but they can be together once I tune Witch's Familiar with my level two Telepath Witch and my level five Memory Witch!" Ryo said. The synchro sequence started again as he summon his monster. "I synchro summon Witch Charmer!" He summoned out Witch Charmer again as it flew out with 2400atk points. Just as the summoning happened, they passed under the bridge with the light from the synchro summoning and the force hitting the girls.
"Those two should try to cool it." Nene said.
"They really know how to go all-out." Zoey said.
"Wait." Rishi said as she looked around. "Where did Nova go?"
"Now to pluck that bird's wings!" Ryo said as he was getting ready to attack.
"Stop the duel! We have to stop!" Shun said.
"Scared? Now I'm really going to attack." Ryo said. "First, I'm activating my face-down: Witch Revival! With this I'm bringing back both Telepath Witch and Memory Witch! They both lose their abilities, but they'll help out." Both of his witches came back having 300def points and 1500def points. "What's more, for each witch on the field, Witch Charmer gains 300atk points." With two witches, Witch Charmer's strength increases to 3000.
"Listen! We have to stop!" Shun said.
"Not while my monster is stronger! Witch Charmer, attack!" Ryo ordered with Witch Charmer going on the attack.
"I activate Raptor Flag!" Shun said as he played his trap. "When my Battlize-Raptor is being attack, this trap stops it!" A soundwave emitted from the trap and stopped the attack before it happened. "Listen, we have to stop just for a moment! Just look on your monster's back!"
"My monster's back?" Ryo questioned. He looked at Witch Charmer's back and the problem was that Nova was hanging on for dear life. "Nova!"
"Ryo, help me!" Nova called.
"Oh my! This is a serious problem! Somehow, a young girl got on the back of Ryo's monster!" Marcy announced. Others could see it and it looked like a scary moment. If Nova lets go at the speed their going, she could get seriously hurt.
"Hold on, Nova! I'll find a way to get you down!" Ryo said.
"I can't hold on much longer!" Nova said as her grip was slipping. She couldn't hold on any longer and fell off. Everyone was terrified on what was going to happen to her, but Shun acted fast. He jumped off his runner and landed on his eagle.
"Go, Rebellious Eagle!" Shun ordered. His bird flew in and got under Nova with Shun able to catch her. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah... Thanks..." Nova said as she was impressed with the save, as was everyone else. "You can just circle back around. My friends are there." Ryo was amazed that Shun actually saved Nova. It had him rethinking things. Shun and Ryo made their way back around to the bridge where the girls were waving their hands for Nova. When Shun came over, he dropped Nova off with them.
"Nova, are you okay?!" Nene asked.
"Yeah. That guy actually saved me. I guess he really isn't a jerk." Nova said. Shun was carried back to his runner and jumped back on while it was moving.
"Shun, thanks for doing that." Ryo said.
"No problem." Shun said.
'He can't be the enemy.' Ryo thought. 'No one who works for the higher-ups would save a nobody.' "I guess you're not really a bad guy."
"What do you mean?" Shun asked.
"I thought you didn't care what happened as long as you got what you wanted." Ryo said. "I don't know what happened between you and this Promin Academy, but I know you had it rough. I thought you were similar to Shiro, but maybe not. You and your friends are really just trying to help in your own way."
"My friends?" Shun said.
"Yukin and those other guys." Ryo said. "I can see that you guys are just fighting to save everyone." When Ryo mentioned that, it had Shun realize something.
'He's right.' Shun thought. 'Up until now, I only fought to save Brui and bring Promin Academy down for good. That's all I really cared about. However, saving that girl just now had me remember something. I use to duel just for the thrill of the competition, and I'm not only one affected. There are others out there that have suffered like me. I have to fight to save them, not just Brui. I've been dueling for revenge when I should have for the right reasons. That's what Yukin has been trying to tell me.'
"Well, you might have saved her, but I'm still winning. For now, I end my turn." Ryo said.
"It's my turn!" Shun said as he drew his next card as he saw things differently. 'Yukin, you've been trying to say that dueling is about fun and forming bonds. Drewsin, you nearly lost sight of that yourself, but you found it. It's now time I do the same. It's time I duel with the bonds I tried to hide.' "I'm summoning Battlize-Raptor: Torpedo Harrier!" He summoned out a second harrier to the field with 1000atk points. "Here goes. Time to try out this new monster. I fuse the forces of wind with the forces of darkness!"
"Say what?!" Ryo said as he wasn't expecting that. Wind came around his harrier and darkness came around his eagle. Shun's taking a page from Yukin's book now.
"I elemental summon a night attribute! I summon Battliez-Raptor: Steal Vulture!" Shun summoned out a brand new massive monster. It was a vulture-like monster with it designed like a stealth jet. "Ryo, this monster will be what takes you down!"
