"What do you want with me?" Zoey said as she felt like she was in real trouble. She, Rishi, Nova, and Nene were surrounded by security officers. They were saying that Zoey has to come with them or else.

"We're not authorized any questions. Just come with us or we'll use force." Zoey didn't want to go with them. She knows this isn't good for her, but she doesn't see a way for her to get out of this.

"What about the other girls?"

"Bring them along. I'm sure scum like them did something wrong."

"That is so not fair. We didn't do anything." Nene said. "You can't just arrest us when we haven't done anything."

"It doesn't matter to the likes of them." Rishi said.

"Enough talk. Time to go." The girls had no choice. They had to do what the officers said. As they made their way down the bridge, a police car was ready to take them away. It looked like Zoey and the rest of the girls were goners. Just when they were about to be taken away, a series of attacks came out of nowhere and attacked the area. None of them were prepared for it, but none of the attacks hit the girls.

"Zoey! This way" Zoey looked to the side and was surprised to see Soto and was attacking with his Scarlet Despair.

"Soto?! What are you doing here?!" Zoey said as she wasn't sure she was really going to see him again.

"No time! Run for it! Let's get out of here!" Soto said. Zoey didn't understand what was going on, but she decided to take the opportunity to run. She had the other three come with her and they all made a run for it.

"Stop! Don't let them escape!" The officers tried to stop them, but Soto wasn't going to let them take Zoey away.

"Sorry, but I only allow a few stage volunteers to be my dance partners." Soto said. "Scarlet Despair, clear the stage!" His monster formed a series of energy attacks again and launched it around them to cover their tracks. Thanks to Soto, Zoey and the other girls were able to escape with Soto going with them, but Rojin and his men aren't done with them yet. Thanks to Soto saving them, the five of them put some distance between them and the security officers. They ducked down in the alleyways and kept their eyes open if security came back.

"I think we lost them." Nova said.

"I don't know who you are, but thanks for saving us back there." Nene said.

"I thought I was only rescuing Zoey, but I didn't expect to rescue four fair maidens at once." Soto said.

"Soto..." Zoey said as she wasn't sure how to feel about seeing him. "It's great that you saved us, but what are you doing here? I thought you were sent back to Promin Academy or something."

"It's a long story, Zoey." Soto said. "Bottom line is that I heard you were in trouble. When I heard that you were here, I came as fast I could."

"That's great, but..." Zoey said as she wasn't sure what to do about Soto. She knows about Promin Academy and that Soto was from there, but she doesn't know whose side he's really on. Soto can see that confusion.

"I'm guessing you know the truth about me." Soto said. "Zoey, I know I did some...bad things, but I'm here to help you. Yukin even tried convincing me to join you guys against Promin Academy. Believe me, Zoey." Zoey is aware of how evil and dangerous Promin Academy is, but she does believe in the friend that helped her before.

"Someone from Promin Academy actually wants to help? That's so unbelievable that it's almost laughable."

"Who's there?" Soto said. All of them looked into the shadows of the alleyway and they saw Drewsin was able to find them.

"Drewsin!" Zoey said as she was surprised to see him.

"Zoey, I'm glad you're safe. Now, get away from that creep from Promin." Drewsin said as he pointed right at Soto and had a lot of anger towards him. "I don't know what you're doing here, but there's no way I'm letting you near her."

"I remember you. We dueled, and you were with Yukin when he and I dueled." Soto said.

"That's right. That means I saw what you're really like." Drewsin said. "Step away from the girls or else."

"Wait, Drewsin. Soto just helped us." Zoey said. "If Soto didn't show up when he did, those nutty police officers would have taken us away. Soto says he's here to help us."

"You're not really going to believe that, are you?" Drewsin said as he had no doubt that Soto was actually playing her and the others. "Zoey, he lied to you and the others. I heard him admit that he was going to try and get you, Yukin, and the rest of your friends to join Promin Academy. Everything you knew about him was a lie."

"Hold on. I'm aware that Soto might have done some bad things, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person." Zoey said.

"No one in Promin Academy is good! Look at what happened to my home, my friends!" Drewsin said. "So many people were turn into cards! He's just as guilty as any of them! Don't believe a word he says, Zoey. He's just betray us and turn us all into cards the moment he gets a chance."

"Soto, tell him you're not going to do that anymore." Zoey said as she still tried to defend Soto. She wants to believe in the person that taught her fusion summoning, the friend who helped her. "Soto, if you really meant what you said, you'll stop what you're doing with Promin Academy." She was hoping he make the right decision, but it wasn't looking good. Soto held out his duel disk and looked ready for a fight.

"I knew it." Drewsin said.

"Soto, don't!" Zoey pleaded. She thought she was going to attack Drewsin, but he actually removed his duel disk. He placed it against the ground and slid it towards Drewsin. That wasn't a move they were expecting.

"What is this?" Drewsin questioned.

"I won't deny it. I did do some awful things when I was in Promin Academy." Soto said. "I thought dueling was about power, taking what you want, and crushing your opponents. However, I met Yukin and Zoey. Meeting them caused me to change how I saw things. Before I met them, I was a mere soldier that was just following orders because I was afraid of what might happen to me if I hadn't. That's how it works in Promin Academy. Promin really is a master manipulator that knows how to bring out the worst in people. Meeting Yukin and Zoey has showed me that dueling can be fun as just a game. It's not some sort of weapon used for war."

"Soto..." Zoey said as she was amazed he's making such a change.

"I'm sorry for what happened to your people." Soto apologized. "If you want revenge and want to turn me into a card, go ahead. I won't stop you. However, you need to get Zoey and these girls somewhere safe. Those officers are after them for some reason. Yukin's going to need some help, too." Soto is really atoning for the wrongs he did. Drewsin reached for Soto's duel disk and it seemed like he was really going to go through with it.

"Drewsin, please don't!" Zoey begged.

"You're lucky I'm not Shun." Drewsin said. "If I was him, I wouldn't have hesitated to turn you into a card." He tossed the duel disk back to Soto. "This doesn't mean I forgive you or fully trust you, but you are the first from Promin Academy to say such things. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, but you better blow this chance I'm giving you. I will make you regret it."

"I'll keep that in mind." Soto said.

"You can leave Zoey and the others with me." Drewsin said. "If Rojin is after Zoey, there aren't that many places to hide. The only place I can think of that's safe is the Underground Garbage. Rojin wouldn't think to look for Zoey down there."

"The Underground Garbage? That's where Shiro and the other losers were sent." Nene said.

"I'm not going down there." Nova said.

"But we have to. Plus, if this man is able to get us in, it must mean there's actually a way out." Rishi rationalized.

"Okay. I'm going to see if I can help Yukin out." Soto said as he was on his way.

"Soto, wait." Zoey said and got him to stop. She smiled when she saw what he's done. "Thank you. I knew you were a good person."

"Well, what kind of teacher would I be if I let my fusion student get in trouble." Soto said. Soto has made it clear he's on the same side as Yukin and the rest of the knights now. Now that he knows which side he really stands with, he isn't going to let anything happen to the friends he made.

Yukin

Yukin was able to escape from Rojin and get his runner back. Once he did that, he rode around the city in franticly. He knew he had to find Zoey and fast. As he tried his best to find her, he heard his duel disk alerting him of a message. He pulled over and answered it to see it was Soto.

"Yukin! I'm glad to see you were able to escape." Soto said.

"Soto! Where's Zoey?!" Yukin said. "Rojin is after her!"

"I know. Don't worry about her." Soto said. "I managed to get her out of there."

"Where is she now?" Yukin asked.

"She's safe. We ran into your buddy, Drewsin." Soto said. "He's taking her to the Underground Garbage. It's the only place Rojin won't think to look for her."

"That's good." Yukin said as he felt a huge relief wash over him. He knew as long as he was with Drewsin, she was safe. "It's crazy out there, Soto. I think Rojin is entering his endgame to take control of the city. He's already taken the Council and Renji hostage."

"From what I can understand, we can't let that happen." Soto said.

"You're right. We've got to do something to try and stop him." Yukin said.

"So what's the plan?" Soto asked.

"Now that I know Zoey is safe, I'm going to head back the arena. There's only one match left of the All Grand Prix, and Siri will be there. I'm worried Rojin might go after her next." Yukin said. "I'm in the semi-finals, so I've got to be there."

"You're going to keep dueling in that tournament? What about Rojin?" Soto questioned.

"I've got an idea." Yukin said. "It's crazy, but it's all I can think of to get a step ahead of Rojin. We've got to stop him while we still can."

"Okay. I'll trust you. I'll head to the arena myself in case you need anything." Soto said and ended the call. Yukin looked back to Rojin's main building. He and his friends have to do something that will change this city or else things are going to get worse, especially if Rojin manages to take control of it.

Rojin

"We've had one heck of a second round, but it's about to come to a close." Marcy announced as Rojin continued to watch the All Grand Prix. "The last duel is between Huo and Siri. We've got only one spot left in the semi-finals and it's going to go to one of them."

"And that someone will be Siri." Rojin said as he had another sneaky plan stored. "Once I have both Siri and Zoey, Promin himself will bend to my wishes. Nitro City will be mine and not even Promin Academy will take it from me."
