Hello everyone! This is the start of a new chapter! Chapter 14! I hope everyone will enjoy this chapter! Without further ado, let's start!

Normal POV

The next morning in school, Aichi had been escorted by Kai to the gates before waving him off. He then settled at his desk to wait for Naoki so that he could have a chance to speak to him. However, Naoki had arrived just as the bell rang and the Sensei had already entered the class before Aichi could say anything.

" Morning. Starting today, we've got a new student in our class. Come in." The Sensei called

Aichi curiously looked over to the door after hearing the commotion and excitement in his classmates' thoughts as his eyes widened slightly while the student wrote her name down.

" Kourin... san...?"

" I'm Kourin Tatsunagi. This is my first day at Miyaji Academy. It's a pleasure to meet everyone." Kourin greeted, bowing as the class continued with their commotion

" Quiet, people! Quiet! Tatsunagi, your seat is over there." The Sensei pointed out a seat behind Aichi

" Okay."

Kourin walked over to her seat as Aichi just continued glancing at her with his widened eyes.

" It's been awhile, Aichi Sendou." Kourin greeted

" Y... Yeah, it's been awhile, Kourin-san." Aichi greeted

Kourin sat at the seat behind him as he took notice of his classmates staring or glaring at him as he sweat dropped, turning his head away to look outside the window, ignoring their whispers and assumptions.

" Please let this day be over soon..." Aichi thought

Yeesh. Why did Takuto have to send me here?

" ... I see. Takuto-kun sent her to school... But then what about the other two...?" Aichi thought

He continued pondering until the bell rang. He was immediately surrounded by some of the guys, asking to be introduced to Kourin, once again missing his chance to talk to Naoki when he left the classroom for lunch. Even after school ended, he could not speak to Naoki and just left.

" What's wrong?" Kai ask, noticing his dejected expression

" You won't believe what happened... I couldn't even speak to Ishida-kun because I got bombarded by my classmates." Aichi sighed

" Bombarded? What for?" Kai ask

" Kourin-san suddenly appeared in my class and we greeted each other. Now there's going to be a rumor that'll assume who we are to each other." Aichi explained

" You mean the idol from Ultra Rare? Now that's rare." Kai said

" Yeah..."

" So what do you want to do? You can just transfer to Hitsue and join the Cardfight Club there. We can also be able to hang out more." Kai said

" ... No. I made this decision myself and I want to see it to the end." Aichi said

" Alright then."

As soon as they arrived in Card Capital, Aichi had told the news about Kourin's transfer to his class. This enraged Morikawa as he tried to go after him unsuccessfully after being stopped by Kamui. The two started arguing while Aichi pondered about Izaki's words about how Miyaji didn't have a Cardfight Club and thought back to Kai's words again before finally making a decision for the next day.

" You want to form a Cardfight Club?" Kai ask

" Yeah."

Kai looked at the posters Aichi made in his arms before patting his head.

" You're getting braver, love. Do your best. And if you ever need my presence..." Kai said as he pointed to the scent bottle pin Aichi hid in his shirt, " ... you know where to find it."

" Yeah, thank you."

They did their usual send off as Aichi went up to his classroom to leave his bag under his desk before making his way to the school gates to hand out his posters, hiding the fact that he was nervous doing it in front of so many students passing by him. However, his attempts were either rejected or ignored as he kept trying until someone finally took a poster out of his hand.

" Oh, thank you... Kourin-san?" Aichi exclaimed

" Cardfight Club? You intend to form it yourself?" Kourin ask

" Yes, I thought I could give it a try..." Aichi replied

" Isn't it hard making a club?" Kourin ask

" I think it's not only the matter of gathering the members, but also getting approval from the Student Council and school." Aichi explained

" How many people do you have?" Kourin ask

" Just me for now. I'm just thinking that if I do my best and not give up, I might be able to get some members." Aichi said

" Huh... I'll join." Kourin said

" Huh?"

" I'm saying that I'll join the Cardfight Club." Kourin declared as she started walking away

At her announcement, the students that had been trailing after her decided to ask Aichi to join the club, however Kourin quickly stopped them.

" Only those who are serious about participating in the Cardfight Club can be admitted!" Kourin said

" Of course I'm serious!"

" I'm totally serious!"

" Fine. If you beat either of the current members, Aichi or me, we'll know you're serious, and let you join. You're okay with that, aren't you, Aichi Sendou?" Kourin ask

Aichi blinked and silently agreed with the conditions as they proceeded to the cafeteria where many students and fans of Kourin had gathered to try their luck. Aichi won against two of the students that went up against him while Kourin won all of hers as well.

" None of them won, huh?" Kourin ask

" No..."

" It can't be helped. We'll just start the club with just the two of us." Kourin said

" Wait a second!" They turned to the voice to see Naoki walking up to them, " I wanna join the Cardfight Club."

" Ishida-kun... So you were interested in Vanguard, weren't you?" Aichi ask

" Yeah... A little."

" Fine. If you beat me, we'll let you in." Kourin said

" Of course. That's the idea." Naoki said, bringing out his deck

They both stood theur Vanguards as Aichi watched the match silently as Naoki finally blurted out about Aichi's bullied past in Miyaji and had been sorry about not being there to help when he could have. With those honest feelings, he won his match and was able to join the club. This pattern continued into the next day when another classmate, Shingo Komoi, had challenged Naoki to a cardfight, surprising them when he had the deck and successfully beating Naoki to join the club.

" And you know, everyone got surprised that he was actually my stalker." Aichi told this to Kai

They were in the park to have some quiet to themselves after a day of school as Kai dropped his water in surprise at what Aichi said.

" But he isn't a bad person. It was admiration on his part and he never dared to approach me since I felt like an idol to him that was unapproachable or something." Aichi assured

" And he's now in your club? God, that's going to be terrible." Kai sighed

" No, it isn't. At least he's devoted to the club for now. I don't see an issue." Aichi said

" Aichi. He stalked you in school premises. Okay, maybe he's pretty innocent but what if it's an even worse stalker? I can't have that happening." Kai said

" You're such a worrywart. I can handle it myself in school." Aichi pouted

" You've been stopping Zenki and Goki from helping you out when you get bothered." Kai said

" No, I didn't. Those students were merely teasing and I can't have those two rampage on them." Aichi said

" You're such a softie sometimes, you know that? At least you seem to be having fun now." Kai said

" Yes, but still... we just need one more member for the club... One more and the club can be official." Aichi said

" Good luck."

" Thank you."

This proved to be difficult in the next few days as the American Football Club had challenged their club the next day, apparently having been told to by the Student Council. Rumors were also circulating that the Student Council were also watching the club in order to keep it from forming as well. However, there had also been another rumor going around that Aichi had been unaware about until the day after the challenge issued by the Football Club.

" Where did Naoki-kun and Shingo-kun go...?" Aichi wondered as he looked around the school, " ... Maybe they already headed to the clubroom... I knew I should've finished up my class duties earlier..."

He finally arrived at their tentative clubroom and was already close to opening it fully when he heard voices speaking inside.

" I don't get why you two can still be around that kid. He's nothing but bad luck."

Aichi froze midway opening the door as he continued listening in on the conversation.

" What do you mean?! Sendou-kun is the most kindest person everyone's ever known! He's not bad luck!" Shingo protested

" Yeah!"

" Haven't you even heard about why he even transferred away from here in elementary? He's Creepy Kid!"

" Creepy Kid...?" Naoki repeated

" Yeah! That guy is like, a creepy kid with psychic powers or something! That's why everyone wants to stay away from him! It's as if he knows everyone's thoughts and all that and he always says it out loud when we don't want to!"

" I only know that he was bullied!" Naoki exclaimed

" That's exactly the reason he was bullied! So don't get yourself involved with him, nothing good will come out of it if you do! He's a misfortune to everyone! You see now?! He's trying to form an impossible club and you guys are just getting your times wasted! It'll never form!"

" What?!"

" Isn't it true? Look, hasn't he seem like he knows everything about you and stuff when you don't say things out loud?"

At that question, his two friends went silent.

" ... Well, he..." Naoki started

" There had been two or three times... But he always brushes off the reasons." Shingo said

" There! That's Creepy Kid right there! He's going to cause you guys misfortune, so just hear us out for once as classmates! With this rumor, he'll never be accepted by anyone ever again!"

" Aichi... A misfortune...?" Naoki muttered

" But if that's true then..." Shingo added

" Aichi?"

Aichi flinched as Kourin, who'd came to the club after some idol activities, showed up and approached him.

" What are you doing out here?" Kourin ask

Kourin then noticed Aichi's shadowed expression as she also overheard the small bit of conversation at the other sidd of the door.

" Yeah, Sendou is a total misfortune! You should never get involved with him ever again!"

" After this, he'll just be back to being Creepy Kid and everyone will just avoid him like they always did in the past!"

She gasped and slid the door open swiftly.

" What is this talk?!" Kourin exclaimed

" K-Kourin-chan!"

" T-This is... We were just..."

" Aichi is a what now? Don't tell me the two of you really believe this nonsense?!" Kourin exclaimed

" But we're just speaking the truth! We heard from some people that he was misfortunate enough to lose his father because of his creepiness!" The student exclaimed

" What?!"

Aichi didn't care to hear the rest as he stepped back and quickly walked away from the door. He hastily walked towards the gates, ignoring the faded voices of his friends calling out to him as he finally bumped into Kai.

" Aichi?"

" ... I want to leave..." Aichi muttered

" Huh?"

" Please... Take me away from here..." Aichi muttered, grabbing Kai's jacket

Kai looked up to see Naoki and the others running towards them as he nodded down at Aichi and started pulling him away from the gates.

" Hey, wait!" Naoki called

" Aichi!"

" ... Pretend you never met me... The tentative club will be disbanded from today onwards..." Aichi said

" Wha?! Wait, just let us explain!" Naoki exclaimed

However, they were immediately stopped by Kai's glare as he narrowed his eyes.

" Take one step forward or talk again and I will knock the living daylights out of you. Don't even start having any thoughts." Kai warned

" Toshiki Kai! Just let Aichi hear them out!" Kourin exclaimed

" He doesn't want to."

Before they could say more, Kai had already taken Aichi away from their listening range as he decided to bring him to his apartment to allow him some space for his thoughts.

" Aichi?"

" ... 'Creepy Kid' came back again... I guess those past demons will always be around to haunt my life... They're right, I am a misfortune... I'm trying to do the impossible by forming a club that shouldn't exist in such a school... They should never have been involved with me..." Aichi said

" You're not, Aichi. You still have me and the others at Card Capital, your mother and sister. We all love you, Aichi." Kai said

" But I..."

" Who cares about those past demons anyway? Take a rest, Aichi. You'll feel better by tomorrow. I'll have your mother call you in sick tomorrow too, so you don't have to face those people." Kai said

Kai caressed Aichi's head and laid him down on his pillow, waiting for him to fall asleep before calling Shizuka to inform her about his stay over at his apartment.

" I think he might have overheard a topic about his past in elementary school. He seems really upset now and just wants to stay away for now. I barely convinced him to stop thinking and take a rest." Kai said

" I see... Thank you, Kai-kun. I'll call in sick for him tomorrow then. He was so happy about having new friends, but this just had to happen..." Shizuka sighed

" Yeah... I was thinking if he would like to transfer schools again. He has more friends back in Hitsue and he can stay away from those rumors in Miyaji. He might feel better afterwards." Kai suggested

" I know, but I'll respect his wishes if he still wants to remain at Miyaji." Shizuka said

" Yeah, me too. I just... don't want to see him this broken again." Kai said

" Me too, Kai-kun. Please take care of him." Shizuka said

" I will."

Kai hung the call up and went into the kitchen to make some dinner. At the corner of his eyes, he noticed Zenki and Goki appearing in front of the bed in guarding positions again while Shamash sat behind Aichi.

" You three are upset too, huh? I guess that makes all of us. I'm upset too." Kai said

Ophy appeared around him as he looked at him cooking.

" Do you really think his friends at Miyaji would actually believe the rumors? I mean, the rumors hold some truth, that's why it upsetted him in the first place." Ophy said

" I don't think so, but maybe in his heart, he wants them to believe it. So that they'll stay further away from him from now on." Kai said

" So you're just gonna let him go back to his old self where he avoids the problem? That'll just mean that he'll shut out people again." Ophy said

" I know, Ophy. It's just... hard to see him hurting like this again." Kai said

" Well, I guess we'll deal with it when we need to." Ophy said

Kai nodded as he continued cooking. Once he set the plates on the table, he woke Aichi up for dinner and they ate in silence. Kai looked up from his plate and saw Aichi only taking small bites out of his food and sighed, setting his utensils down and walking to his side.

" You'll get hungry if you dont eat properly." Kai said

" But I don't feel like eating..." Aichi said

" You still have to. I'll even feed you if I have to." Kai said

Aichi sighed and took slightly bigger bites of his food as Kai smiled a little on relief.

" I'll be back after school tomorrow to take care of you. Just take as much rest as you want until then." Kai said

" Okay..."

The next morning, Kai woke up and made himself a quick breakfast, kissing the still sleeping Aichi on the cheek before leaving for school. Once he arrived, Miwa had came up to him hesitantly.

" Hey, buddy... I heard what happened over at Miyaji from Nee-chan. Past demons came back, huh?" Miwa ask

" In a way."

" How is he?" Miwa ask

" I don't know. He wasn't in much of a mood to talk the entire night so we just went to sleep." Kai replied

" Oh..."

Miwa had found out about their relationship a few days after their incident with Keijin and had been teasing Kai about it whenever he sees him in school. But he knew the mood Kai was in currently wasn't suited for any jokes so he kept his mouth shut about it for the day.

" I asked Shizuka-san to call him in sick today so that he can have a good rest without thinking too much." Kai said

" That definitely sounds like a good idea, considering how he must've felt yesterday." Miwa said

" If he still wants to continue to stay there, then it's fine by me as long as no one hurts him again." Kai said

" ... I've only met the other two once. I don't know about them much but they seem like loyal guys." Miwa said

" Who knows."

Miwa sighed as classes started and they studied for the day.
