Sean and Rose walked for around half an hour, barely saying a word to each other. Both were still having a hard time comprehending what their parents had done. How could they? How could they ignore them, when they knew all they wanted was to spend time with them? Rose was feeling particularly betrayed as she had always felt the most neglected. They eventually came across a park with a playground. They sat on the swings and tried to remember the happy family times. Isabella had taken them to this park many times when they were left in her care while Phineas, Ferb and Vanessa worked. She found it allowed for easy supervision. Sean and Rose would go play with other children, while Isabella kept an eye on Terri and Kenny. This was also a place of fond memories with all their parents. They remembered Phineas and Ferb pushing them on the swings, as Isabella and Vanessa watched Terri and Kenny.

These full family moments became nearly non-existent about half a year after Kenny was born. It was then that Vanessa started gaining worldwide recognition and Flynn-Fletcher industries became one of the biggest companies in the world. Apart from Isabella, they started seeing a lot less of their parents. Vanessa was always away, while Phineas and Ferb were always at the office or away promoting inventions. Isabella was the one who drove them to school, made them breakfast, lunch and dinner and who turned up to important events. The only time they could count on for the whole family to be together was Christmas and Hanukkah. As Isabella is Jewish the family celebrated both. Phineas and Ferb also did their best to appear at birthdays and Vanessa always called even if she was overseas, but she hadn't been there for Rose or Kenny's birthday in years. In a way Sean and Rose did appreciate that Phineas, Ferb and Vanessa tried to be there during special days but was it so selfish of them to want them around more?

"I can't believe they've known this whole time and they still refused to spend time with us," said Sean.

"Well what do you expect? They've always been inventors first and fathers second," said Rose.

"Yeah, but I always hoped that we were the ones they cared about the most. They knew we wanted to spend time with them, but they obviously believed that showing our potential as inventors was more important," said Sean.

Rose then said something she often thought, but never said out load as she always held out hope it wasn't true.

"Let's face it Sean our parent's care more about their careers then us! We're always their second priority!"

"Agreed," said Sean angrily.

"Sean, Rosie," called a voice.

They looked behind them and saw Terri, with Kenny following.

"Sean you've got to come back and talk to Mummy and Daddy," pleaded Terri.

"I don't want to talk to them Terri, they've made it quite clear that I'm not important to them," said Sean.

"Big brother you are important to them," said Terri.

"Then why did they care more about me getting into inventing than actually spending time with me?" asked Sean.

"Sean it wasn't just to see how much you guys would achieve, they were also hoping you'd see the fun in inventing," said Terri.

"They could've invented with us. They could've personally shown us the joys of inventing by spending time with us, but clearly work's more important to them," said Sean.

Terri didn't know how to respond.

Meanwhile Kenny was pulling on his sister's arm in the hope she'd come home.

"I don't want to talk to our parents either Kenny," said Rose, slapping Kenny's arm away. "In fact, why do you care about what they have to say?"

Kenny tilted his head in confusion.

"They barely raised you. You've spent more time with Aunt Izzie and Granma Flynn then you have with either of our parents," said Rose. "Which raises another question. Why is Mum the only one you talk to?"

While Kenny was basically mute, often going months without uttering a single word, he would always speak to his mother when she asked him a question and she was the only person he would start a conversation with.

"You never speak to Aunt Izzie, the woman who basically raised you. You never speak to Dad who was at least there for you occasionally. And worst of all you never speak to me, the only person who's always been there for you, protected you and did their best to make you feel safe and loved when Mum and Dad were away," stated Rose. "The only person you speak to is a woman who's missed your last four birthdays!"

Kenny said nothing and his expression remained unchanged.

"WHY WILL YOU NOT TALK TO ME?" shouted Rose angrily.

Terri didn't like what this was doing to her family and knew she had to do something to fix it. She felt the best thing to do was get them home so they could all talk as a family.

"Sean, please, you and Rosie need to come home so we can work this out."

"I already told you Terri I don't want to talk to them. I don't care for what Uncle Ferb and Aunt Nessa have to say either," said Sean.

"Sean, I know they mislead you and I'm sorry for that. Believe me I wanted to tell you many times," said Terri.

Sean's head shot up.

"Wait, you knew as well?" asked Sean.

Terri had a feeling she should've chosen her words more carefully. It then dawned on Rose that she and Sean may have been the only people who didn't know about Phineas and Ferb's decision to keep them in the dark.

"What about you? Were you in on this?" asked Rose to Kenny who nodded.

"I can't believe this," said Sean.

"Sean, Rosie wait, I didn't know the whole time. I only found out after you and Rosie attempted to gain superpowers and you passed out after trying to mutate yourselves," confessed Terri.

"Terri, that was basically at the start of summer," said Rose. "Meaning you've been in on the scheme for ages."

"I only found out after I told Mummy and Auntie Nessa what happened," said Terri.

Sean then realised something.

"Why a minute did you snitch on us?"

"Um," said Terri.

"Well?" asked Sean.

"Yes."

"Terri how could you?" asked Rose.

"Two activities in and you sold us out. I trusted you Terri, how could you do this do us?" asked Sean.

That hit Terri hard. Sean and Rose then saw something they almost never saw. Terri became angry.

"WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?" yelled Terri. "You guys were unconscious and sick. Do you have any idea how that made me feel?"

Sean and Rose were shocked. Terri had NEVER been so angry in her life.

"After you guys passed out and developed fevers, I knew there were many things that could be wrong. You could've accidently mutated into giant monsters, or worse you could've died," stated Terri. "I know I come off as some happy, ditzy, bubbly moron, but I'm just as smart as you guys and you know it, so it wasn't hard for me to figure out what could've happened if you guys miscalculated. There were so many possible scenarios and all of them terrified me, because I could've lost the two people I care about the most."

"Terri I," started Sean, but Terri wasn't finished.

"I know you find me annoying, and I know you don't like it when I give you guys hugs in public, but I also know that deep down you care about me. So I ask you, what would you have done if you were in the same position?" asked Terri.

That was a difficult question for Sean and Rose. While they didn't know, they soon realised they probably would've done the same. Sean then did something that was usually done the other way round. He gave his sister a hug.

"Terri I'm sorry. I'm sorry we made you worry. I'm sorry if we hurt you," said Sean.

Terri embraced her brother.

"Please understand Sean, I know Rosie is your best friend and you're hers, but you guys are my best friends too and I love you both," said Terri.

Sean understood why Terri had done what she did and honestly, he couldn't blame her, and he wasn't mad at her.

"I love you too Terri. We both do," said Sean looking at Rose who nodded.

Rose then looked at Kenny who remained silent through this emotional episode.

"Well, do you have anything you want to add?" asked Rose.

Kenny said nothing.

"Who am I kidding of course you don't."

Kenny gestured her forward. Rose leaned closer and Kenny whispered something into her ear. Rose leaned back and looked at her brother.

"I can respect that," said Rose. "Come on guys let's go home."

Sean and Rose hopped of the swings and walked back to the Flynn residence with their younger siblings.

"Rose what did Kenny say to you?" asked Sean.

"I'll tell you later," said Rose.

Back at the house the parents and Meap were discussing what they needed to do to defeat Mitch. While they had managed to figure out that Mitch would attempt to eliminate Phineas and Ferb while they were children, they had been unable to figure out his whole plan. They hadn't even considered that Mitch might try and team up with his past self.

"Unfortunately, I can't go back. I'm too weak, I can't defeat Mitch in my current state," said Meap, who was still injured from the crash.

"Then one of us will have to go back," said Phineas. "I'll go."

"I'm not letting you go on your own," said Ferb. "We've been through everything together and that's not gonna stop now."

"Phineas if you're going, you're not leaving me behind," said Isabella.

Phineas knew this was an argument he was not going to win.

"You're not leaving me behind either. In my opinion if one of us goes, we all go," said Vanessa.

They all agreed.

"Wait, what about the kids?" asked Phineas.

"Leave them with your mother," said Vanessa.

"Oh, right," said Phineas.

Meap was about to interject about this plan when the kids came through the door. Sean and Rose stepped forward to face their fathers.

"Guys listen we're…" Phineas was at a loss for words.

"It's ok Dad we can talk about it later," said Sean.

"Besides I think we have more important things we need to deal with first," said Rose.

"That we do," said Ferb.

"Ok guys listen, we're gonna use your time machine to go back and stop Mitch. You're gonna stay with Granma and Grandpa Flynn-Fletcher until we get back. Understood?" asked Phineas.

While they were upset that they wouldn't get to travel back in time and that their parents were leaving, Sean, Rose, Kenny and Terri all felt this was for the best, as their parents knew the past better than they did and were more knowledgeable about how Mitch operated.

"No," said Meap. "It's too dangerous for you four to travel back in time, each of you have a younger version of yourself living in the past. If you run into them the consequences could be disastrous."

"Actually, we calculated the potential consequences that could arise from this," said Phineas pulling a whiteboard from off camera. "We predict at best our past selves could get a mild shock or at worst a chain reaction could happen that would destroy the universe."

"Are you really willing to take that chance?" asked Meap.

"Well considering Candace met her older self when she was 15 the best-case scenario seems more likely," said Ferb.

"Regardless, it is not you who must go back. It is them," said Meap pointing to the children.

"Wait, what?" asked Sean.
