It's been a very hot moment! New computer had me scratching my head on how I'm going to do this! I'm not going to go into a rant. I do enough of that at work for the past two weeks.

Flashback

"COLE!" Eleanor screamed as she jerked and bolted up in bed. As she sat in bed in the king size bed, she looked around franticly. The bathroom door quickly opened as Cole rushed out, completely wet and a towel around his waist as he tried to hold it in place.

"What? What?" He asked in panic, struggling with the towel. "What happened? What's wrong?" He looked around the still dark room.

"It … it's nothing." Eleanor said with a sigh, she quickly wiped her tears off her cheeks. Cole frowns as he walks further into the room.

"Ellie?" He reaches for a pair of boxers from the clean laundry basket that sat on a stuffy chair, and pulled them on. "What's wrong?" He walks over to his side of the bed and turns to her. She wouldn't look at him. "Ellie?"

"Ok." She breathed, before taking a shaky breath and finally turned to face him. "As you know I haven't been able to sleep for months." She starts.

"And you won't talk to me about it."

Eleanor pushed the blankets off her and climbed out of bed. "It's hard to talk about."

"Ok. Now I'm getting worried." Cole watched her. "What are y."- He's cut off when she suddenly turned jumping into him and started to cry.

"I've been having these nightmares ever since you fell into the darkness." She explained as she hugged his waist and shook with sobs.

"Ellie." Cole whispered as he held her, feeling her tears on his bare chest.

"I'm sorry." She choked. "It's true."

"Let the subject breath, Ellie." Cole whispered. "Please."

She took a few deep breaths. "After you fell into the Darkness, that was the old you. You're not the same Cole I remember."

"I don't understand."

"Because after you came back, you became a different Cole."

"That's causing you nightmares?"

"Yes!" She cried, pulling away and turning around so her back is to him. "You proved it! You're not you anymore." Her tears stained her cheeks. "All you wanna do is be lazy and beat Jay's high level on a video game."

Cole is quiet for a long time, looking down at his lap as he let all that sink in, feeling guilty.

"I don't want this Cole." Eleanor whispered, closing her eyes against her tears as the tears continued to slide down her cheeks.

"Ellie." He whispered, moving forward and wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into him. "I'm sorry." He hugged her close. "I'm so sorry."

"Is that why you're leaving with the Ninja tomorrow?"

"After our embarrassing defeat against Master Wu." Cole nods. "We have to hone into our Ninja skills somehow."

End of flashback

The flashback faded when Eleanor pushed open the door to the Noodle House. "Skylor!" She called as she rushed in. "What's happening? It's chaos outside!"

"I'm sorry." Rainn apologized. "I asked for Skylor to call you." She said nervously, playing with her left sleeve, and the two looked at her with a frown.

"Rainn, what's wrong?" Eleanor asked, just before the door of the Noodle House burst open to reveal Clutch Powers running in, causing the three women to look at him.

"Emergency!" He yelled, with his arms in the air. "The Ninja!" He slid to a stop as he looked around. "Wait a minute." He took in the annoyed look of Skylar, and Eleanor as Rainn just looked at him. "This isn't the police station."

"You want Elm Street, One Eye!" Eleanor told him, still annoyed. "This is Grant Street!"

Powers huffed. "Well, excuse me. Not my fault it's chaos outside." He then did a double take. "Whoa!" He rushes up to her, at the same time taking her hand. "Hello!" He said in a flirty way.

"Powers, you really have a death wish." She struggled against him. "Get off me!"

"Oh, come on." He said, still holding her. "I'm an adventures guy." He smiles. "Say, why don't you and me go to the Explore's Club." He tries to move Eleanor. "Give you a tour."

"I hope you kissed your mother goodbye." Skylor said as she enjoyed what was gonna happen.

Powers looked at her confused. "Why?" He then screamed when Eleanor grabs his arm and throws him over her shoulder, he cried as he's thrown and is slammed into the wall near the front door.

"You can take that as a 'no'." Rainn laughed. "Or a 'hell no'."

Powers peeled himself off the wall. "How hard is it for a girl who walks out of a play.-" He yelps and quickly ducks when a crystal shard is thrown over his head and shatters when it hit the wall above him. "Ok! I can take the hint!" He turns, just as the front door bursts open and the door slammed into him, pinning him between the door and the wall.

"Rainn!" Jay cried as he rushes in. "Thank the First Spinjitzu Master!" He cried as he runs up to her and hugs her tightly and kisses her cheek.

"Hey!" Eleanor laughed, watching the two. "You're back!"

"Yes!" Jay smiles. "And we're on a mission too!"

"Mission? But you just back." Skylar said with a frown.

"But our city!" Eleanor whines. "It's in flames."

"We're not abandoning her." Jay told her while behind him, Powers climbs out from behind the door with a groan. "We just have to head back underground." Jay fiinished simply.

The door burst open again, and Powers is again slammed into the wall as Cole plows in.

"Ellie!" The black Ninja runs over to her, grabs her and kisses her with passion.

"Cole!" Jay complained. "We are on a mission here!"

Cole breaks his kiss with Eleanor.

"Wow. What'd I do to deserve that?" She asked with a smile and her hands on his chest as she looked up at him.

"Everything, Ellie!" He hugs her, just as Kai hurried in, and again the door slammed into Powers, making him groan and fall to the floor before he crawls out of the Noodle House.

"Skylor!" Kai walked further in, he walked up to the counter and walked around it. He kissed her cheek, before he grabbed a liquir bottle.

"Kai!" The red head snatched it out of his hands. "That's the hard stuff!"

"I know." He tried to grab it from her.

"But Jay just said that you guys were on a mission." Rainn said nervously, watching Kai who was now sulking.

"My power got stolen again." Kai huffed as he jumped onto the counter to sit on the smooth surface.

Skylor, Eleanor and Rainn gasped. "What happened?" Skylor asked.

"After Clutch Powers took us deeper into the pyramid, we found Aspheera's prison." Cole explained. "And we accidentally unleashed her."

"When we told her we didn't know what she was talking about, she blasted Lloyd." Jay picked up. "So we blasted her, but seconds after seeing Kai's powers."-

"She stole them!" Kai cut in with a snap. "I was knocked out cold, when I woke up, we were back with our vehicles and PIXAL was taking the cuffs off us."

"How did she steal your element?" Skylor asked him, her hands on his thighs.

"Magic. It's that staff that she has."

A loud noise is quickly heard from nearby and the building soon shook, causing everyone to wince.

"We better go find Skales." Jay said. "Or Lloyd is gonna use us as moving targets and Master Wu will give us a whole new lecture!"

Cole lifts the lid to a manhole, and the Ninja jump in. Jay immediately pulls out a flashlight and turns it on. He and Eleanor are quick to wrinkle their noses from the smell.

"Why does Skales have to live in a sewer?" Jay complained. "Doesn't the smell both him? It smells like Cole's socks."

"Hey!" An offended Cole, exclaimed.

The team started to walk down the tunnels. "Why'd it have to be the sewers?" Eleanor whined as she walked between Cole and Kai. "I'm never gonna look at a drain the same way again!"

The Ninja continued down the tunnels. When squeaking is heard and a rat comes out from a corner, Eleanor screams and runs into to a different tunnel. Cole called out to her as he ran after her. Kai, and Jay quickly ran after their friends.

The team finally approaches three tunnels with Serpentine symbols written on the top. "Aw, great." Cole complained. "I don't suppose either of you know how to read Serpentine."

"As if."

"Nope."

"Not me."

"Aw, we should have brought Zane." Cold huffed.

"We might as well flip a coin." Kai suggested.

"Oh, what's the difference. Which tunnel was it again?" Jay asked.

"I say we go back." Cole said, taking Eleanor's hand and started to turn around. "And."- He then screamed as a blade is pointed at him. Eleanor hugs Cole's arm as three Hyponobrai surround the Ninja.

The four Ninja are pushed in front of a door very roughly, and the side of Eleanor's head bangs against the door and she falls into Jay, who catches her.

"Hey! Watch it!" Cole yelled.

"Yeah, we're friends with Skales, you know." Jay said.

"And he's not gonna be happy when he hears you were shoving us around." Kai added. Just as the door opens and Skales slithered out, making Eleanor jump and rapidly shake his arm.

"Uh, Kai." Her voice shook as she continued to shake him as Skales is now behind the Ninja.

"Is that what we are?" The Serpentine questioned, causing Kai to jump and turn around. "Friends?"

"Uh, s-sure are we, right pal?" Kai asked as Eleanor hugged his arm tightly.

"Every time you come down here, it's because someone is trying to destroy the surface world." Skales replied.

Cole chuckled sheepishly at the comment.

"We're here because someone is attacking the surface world and we need your help." Eleanor told the Serpentine, who looked at her and she tried to hide behind Kai more.

"We need to know about Aspheera and the Treacherous Deceiver." Kai told him.

"Aspheera is a part of our history, but the other name … Treacherous Deceiver. This I have never heard." Skales said. "But there is one who may know. Follow me."

The Ninja follow Skales through the doors to see the biggest library ever made. "Whoa!" The Ninja breathed.

"In case you don't remember, this is Acidicus." Skales reintroduced. "He runs our library. He loves books. They wish to know about Aspheera and the Treacherous Deceiver." He turns to the elder snake. "They wish to know about the history about Aspheera and the Treacherous Deceiver."

"Aspheera, who tried to overthrow King Mambo the Fifth and the Treacherous Deceiver, who betrayed her. Yes, I know this tale." Acidicus spoke in a very raspy voice as he picked up a book. "In the time of the First Spinjitzu Master, there was a truce between humans and Serpentine. Humans were forbidden to enter the valley of Serpentine, and the Serpentine were forbidden from human lands. But one whimful child disobeyed the law. A boy went along the Serpentine and was caught. He would have been punished but he was rescued by a Serpentine girl. The girl and the boy became friends. But the boy was evil and corrupted the Serpentine girl. He turned her against her own king and was betrayed by the boy."

The Ninja saw a picture in the book of a scroll illuminating above the girl, who was lying on the ground.

"Hey." Cole points at the picture. "Does that look familiar to anyone?"

"That's the scroll Aspheera stole from the museum." Kai said.

"It is the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu." Acidicus told them.

"Oh, boy. I think I just realized who the Treacherous Deceiver is." Jay said, making his friends look at him.

"You do?" Eleanor asked.

"Who?"

"Yeah! Spit it out."

"Ugh, think about it. Who's like, super, super, super old, and is treacherous enough to befriend a snake and then betray her?"

Cole and Kai have blank looks, before it dawns on them. "Garmadon!" They realize in union.

The team quickly head to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, they quickly find Wu in his room. "There's an evil Serpentine sorceress called Aspheera attacking the city!" Jay cried after they burst in without knocking.

"Aspheera?" Wu asks.

"Yeah! Garmadon betrayed her and locked her in a pyramid for thousands of years." Kai added.

"And she is ticked off! She's not gonna stop until she finds him.' Jay finished.

Wu sighed. "She is not looking for Garmadon. She is looking … for me." He master turns to face his students.
