Inside the Fishing Village, as Lloyd and Eleanor talked with Sorla, Kai pulls William to the side. "I want answers, and I want answers now!" The fire Ninja demanded.

"Wh, what's answers?" William asked with a squeak, scared of Kai's famous fire temper.

Nya looked up from the tracker to see the two, quickly standing up she tossed the tracker to an unexpected Jay, who fumbled with the device as Nya runs off.

"I want to know what's going on with you and my sister." Kai told William as the red Ninja folds his arms. "Talk to me!"

"Kai!" Nya hurries up to them, now standing by her brother. "Don't."

"Don't what?" He questioned.

"Don't kill me?" William offered hopefully, then gulped when Kai gave him an evil glare. Then eeped when Kai grabbed the front of his gi and pushed him to his knees.

"Talk!"

"It's my fault, big brother!" Nya grabs his arm, and he looks at her confused.

"What?"

"It's my fault." She repeated. "I've been too busy with being lazy, that I was ignoring Will." She explained.

Kai seemed to think about that. "Ok." He nodded, then turned to give a heated glare at William. "Then answer me this. When I had to make an emergency diaper run for Skylor. How come I saw you and Eleanor going to the same movie?"

The wind ninja gulps, as Kai grips harder on his gi.

"Well?" Kai demanded.

"Will?" Nya frowned at him.

"There's been a few times when I wanted to go do something with you Nya." William looks at her. "But you always said you were too busy, or you would say you were too tired. I wanted to see a movie that day, so did Eleanor." He explained, he was happy that Kai let him go, but Nya had a good grip on her brother.

Nya's bottom lip shook. "What happened?" She wanted to know this new information. "If I don't like what I hear, I'm letting Kai loose."

In response to that comment, Kai growled and took a step forwards, making William jerk backwards.

"Nothing happened!" William promised. "In fact, Eleanor felt so guilty cause she wasn't with Cole and I wasn't with you. Eleanor started crying and left five minutes into the movie." He explained. "She went to Cole in tears, and I got a black eye out of it."

Kai and Nya looked at each other, but before the siblings could say or do anything. Boma and Utaug came running in.

"Alarm, alarm! They're coming!"

The Ninja regroup as the elders group at as the two run into the village.

"Blizzard Samurai! On the march!" Utaug cried.

"Heading to our village! We saw them coming down the pass!" Boma explained.

"I heard them first, Boma's hearing isn't as good as m."-

"Don't start that again!" Boma yelled.

"Boma! Uthaug!" Sorla called as she walked up to the two. "Are you sure you saw this? You saw them?" She questioned, the two men exchange looks and nod. "Gather the elders. There's no time to lose!"

Within minutes, all the elders are gathered in Sorla's home around the fire. "What do we do?" One of them asked. "The pass is only a few hours away!"

"We have to hide." Another elder said. "We must abandon the village."

"And leave the fire fire behind? Are you mad?" Another asked.

"What choice do we have?" The first asked. "I say we hide in the village of the Formlings."

"I won't go there" The second elder refused. "Not after what happened. That place is cursed."

Soon the elders start to argue with each other.

Sorla started to get frustrated as she placed her head in her hands, before announcing. "We cannot abandon the fire! The Fire is life! We must protect it."

"I don't understand." Kai said. "Can't you just light another? You know, with matches? Or something?"

The elders start whispering again.

Eleanor leaned to Lloyd. "Why are they looking at Kai, like he suddenly sprouted two heads?" She asked the blonde.

"I don't know." He shook his head, and quickly noticed that the elders were now talking about the Ninja.

Sorla walked up to Kai, and turned to her people. "They are new to our realm. They do not know." She defended, she turned to Kai. "The winters have grown too cold. It is impossible to light a new fire. We have kept this fire going by adding wood every morning and every night." She puts another log into the fire. "It has burned for decades."

"I'm sorry, I didn't know." Kai apologized.

"The fire is life." She explained to him. "If the fire dies, so will we."

"What if we moved it somehow? Maybe we could transport it with torches?" Lloyd suggested.

Sorla shook her head. "The risk is too great. The Hearth Fire is the heart of our people. It keeps the darkness at bay and gives us hope. If the Fire goes out, our hope is lost. No! We must stay and protect it. We must fight."

"Then we will fight with you." Lloyd told her.

The elders thanked the Ninja.

"Go!" Sorla ordered the elders. "Prepare yourselves!"

Everyone soon left, along with the Ninja. Incept for Kai and Sorla.

She placed her hand on his shoulder. "Do not fear for us, Kai. All will be well.."

"I just wish I still had my powers. I'm the Master Of Fire! Or I was! I could've made a new fire like - like - like this!" He snaps his fingers.

"And now you cannot?"

"No. A snake woman named Aspheera stole my elemental powers." Kai spoke with hatred for Aspheera. "My daughter is suppose to inherit my elemental power. Now, if my power never comes back, she might have to inherit her mother's element. Right now my daughter is still a toddler."

Sorla chuckled. "Oh, do not worry, Kai." She smiled. "Elemental Power comes from within, like courage. Sometimes it wanes, sometimes it waxes, but it cannot be stolen."

Kai sighed heavily. "I'm pretty sure it's gone."

"What comes from within will grow again." Sorla patted his shoulder. "Give it time."

Soon the villagers prepare for battle. And it soon came to hours, and soon it was nightfall.

"Look out!" Lloyd yelled in warning as a number of arrows fly their way, everyone ducks, then he sees the Blizzard Samurai emerging from the shadows. "They're here! This is it!"

"They're so many!" Boma exclaimed as the General gives the signal to the Blizzard Samurai to attack.

"We can take them!" Lloyd told him.

"Yeah! Just get ready to bring it!" Cole added.

"Take what? Bring what?" Utaug asked, clearly confused.

""It!" You know, like, uh, let's rock!" Cole punches the air in front of him. "Thrown down! Brawl!" He explained.

"I don't get it." Utaug simply said.

Cole rolled his eyes. "Oh, never mind!" He pulls on his hood. "Just follow my lead." He activates his Earth Punch.

Eleanor stood near Sorla, sending blasts after blasts of her powers at the Blizzard Samurai, until the General of the Samurai rushes at Kai with an axe in hand.

"Kai!" Sorla yelled, wanting to warn him.

The General punches Kai so hard, knocking the red Ninja off the fortress and into the snow.

"Kai!" Eleanor cries as the General leaps at Kai.

"You dare defy the Ice Emperor?" The ice man yelled, before running to the red Ninja with his axe.

Luckily Kai quickly rolled away just before he would've been killed by the axe.

"You will obey or perish!" The General yelled as he ran at Kai again, before he could hurt Kai, the red Ninja was able to grab a spear and leap out of the way.

Kai held the spear up at the ready, but the General chopped the spear piece by piece, once it got to the metal spear, Kai threw it at the warrior's face, but of course it did nothing. He swung his axe down and Kai braced himself as he closed his eyes.

Metal on metal is quickly heard, and Kai opens his eyes to see Eleanor standing in front of him, holding her own weapon as she blocked the attack. "Ellie!"

An energy blast slammed into the General, sending him flying away from the two.

"Heads up!" Cole activates his Earth Punch, punching the General into a nearby building, and everyone surrounds him.

"It's over." Lloyd told the General. "You've lost."

The General grunted in defeat, until he saw a light and two young children had opened the door to Sorla's home, the girls quickly slam the door. The General turns to look at Sorla.

"You sheltered the newcomers. You should have known not to defy the Ice Emperor." The General makes his way to the roof.

"The fire! He's going after the fire!" Kai yelled, sprinting off with Eleanor right behind him.

"Stop him!" Nya cried.

The General destroys apart of the roof, before jumping down, just as the door bursts open, the General swings his axe for the ready.

"NO" Kai screamed as the General swung his axe, taking out the fire.

"You have won the battle. But without your Fire, you have lost the war." The General told them before he and Samurai leave.

Later, that night. The Ninja and the villagers had all gathered inside of Sorla's home. Each of them are wrapped in blankets as they feel the cold chilly and freezing air of the night.

Kai watched as a child snuggled up to his mother for warmth, some villagers fought over blankets, he watched as Cole pulled Eleanor into his lap and she snuggled into him for a little more warmth, she sneezed. "I'm sorry." He said as he looks at the dead fire.

"Big brother, it's not your fault." Nya said as she sitting next to him. "Please don't say it is." She soon sneezed.

"Listen to your sister, Kai." Sorla said. "She is right. It is not your fault."

"I just wish there was something I could do." Kai replied.

"You have done all you can." Sorla comforted. "Have you not?"

Kai closed his eyes briefly, before a villager sneezes, then both Eleanor and Nya sneeze at the same time.

Kai stood up, he drapes his blanket around his sister so she could have a little more warmth, and turns to the fire. Holding out both hands towards the fire, he tried to summon his elemental power. He groans as he continues to try. Finally spark started in the palm of his hand, then another spark hit the fire and it started to grow brighter and brighter.

Kai suddenly felt exhausted and he collapsed to his knees, Nya quickly reaches out to grab his arm as he sees some of the villagers throwing a few logs into the fire to make it bigger.

"Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker!" The villagers chanted, putting a smile on Kai's face.

"I did it." Kai breathed, and Nya hugged him.

"You sure did!"

"Just listen to them!" Lloyd said.

"Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker!" The villagers chanted cheerfully.
