Towards the end of November, Virgil had taken one of the family jets to New York. He had a few meetings to attend for his current Tracy Incorporated project. He was also planning to go Christmas Shopping for his family and the other residents of Tracy Island. As he walked out the door of a coffee shop, a to-go cup in his hands, he bumped into a young woman with auburn hair tied in a braid. Unfortunately, this resulted in him dropping his coffee. She had insisted on buying him another coffee to replace the one she had caused him to drop. They had ended up sitting down together for a bit and talking. He found out her name was Evelyn Kingsley, but everyone called her Evie as she hated the name Evelyn. She was English, which her accent gave away, and had come to New York for a holiday. She had a degree in Accountancy and worked in HR for her local water company. Her hobbies included walking, reading, and cross-stitch.
He had left the coffee shop with her phone number, and the promise of dinner the following night.
After that dinner, they had kept in touch with each other and he would often visit her in England. When they officially began dating around New Year, he had admitted who his dad was.
Now it was time to reveal the biggest secret. What the Tracy family did.

Evie had met them at the hotel near the airport. They were wanting an early start. Virgil could tell she was nervous, but she soon began to relax around his dad. His dad seemed to like her too.
Landing on Tracy Island, he took Evie to find the rest of the family. Scott was sat on the floor in the sitting room, playing with his son Nate and John's son Tyler. Pippa was sat reading a novel. Gordon was in the pool. Alan and Tin-Tin were curled up together in the hammock. Onaha and Hope, Scott's wife, could be heard in the kitchen. Kyrano could be seen tending the plants. They found Brains, Fermat and Lou, John's wife, in the workshop. John was up on Five, Evie was told he was away for work.

The next day, shortly after lunch, Virgil took Evie down to the silo for Thunderbird Two. She had been surprised and told him she needed a while to get her head around it. Hope, Pippa, and Lou had found her sat on the beach a couple of hours later.
"Not easy to find out, is it" Hope said, sitting next to her. Lou and Pippa sat too. Evie shook her head.
"Come on, let's get Tin-Tin, and we'll have a girls' night" Lou said. "We can watch movies, I have some face masks and nail polish, we can raid the kitchen for some chocolate, and wine for those that can drink." Hope was still breastfeeding Nate. The one-year-old was mainly on solid food now but Hope still fed him in the morning and at bed time.
Half an hour later, all in pyjamas, the girls kicked the boys out sitting room. Onaha had prepared some snacks for them. They had invited the older woman to join them but she had declined. Each of the girls, except Tin-Tin, had explained how they had found out. Hope had found out when the alarm went off the morning after she had arrived on the island. Lou had been taken to the office, where John had called Scott, who was on Five at the time. Pippa had been taken to the Round House to watch Thunderbird Three take off.
The girls ended up camping out in the sitting room, only waking up when Scott, as the first of the guys to wake that morning, came through on his way to the kitchen to make coffee, handing Nate to Hope so she could feed him. The girls slowly dispersed. Evie walked back to Virgil's room and went in.
"Hey, you OK?" he asked, sitting up.
"I'm sorry I freaked out on you yesterday. It was a lot to find out. I just needed time to get my head around it. Get used to the idea that I am dating a Thunderbird, that you put yourself in danger to help others" she told him, sitting on the bed.
"It's ok, I get why you reacted like that. Am I forgiven?" She nodded and Virgil pulled her in for a kiss.
